योग्यताओ से अर्थ है , वो बातें जो PhD करने से पहले आपको रखनी होंगी ध्यान में। जिनकी पूर्ती ना होने पर आप PhD में एडमिशन नहीं ले पाएंगे। विश्विद्यालयों की बात करें तो सभी विश्विद्यालयों का माप दंड एक सा नहीं होता। सामान्य तौर पर हर यूनिवर्सिटी में निम्नलिखित योग्यताओ का होना आवश्यक है।

• PhD कोर्स में अप्लाई करने के लिए विद्यार्थीयों को 10+2 में कम से कम 50% अंकों के साथ पास होना आवश्यक है।
• PhD के लिए आपको संबंधित कोर्स में मास्टर डिग्री कम से कम 50%-55% अंकों के साथ पास करनी ज़रूरी है।
• भारत में PhD कोर्स में एडमिशन लेने के लिए आपको UGC-NET , TIFR, JRF-GATE या स्टेट लेवल के एंट्रेंस परीक्षा पास करने होंगे।
• विदेश में PhD करने के लिए कोई विशेष एंट्रेंस परीक्षा नहीं है, हालाँकि कुछ यूनिवर्सिटीज़ द्वारा एंट्रेंस परीक्षा संचालित करवाई भी जाती है।

• अब शैक्षिक योग्यता, वर्ग आदि के साथ आवेदन फॉर्म भरें।

Ph.D. Admission for Autumn Semester of Academic Year 2024-25

The Institute offers facilities for work leading to Ph.D. in various research areas. IIT Goa offers  Ph.D. Programmes in wide range of areas in Engineering, Science, and Humanities and Social Sciences since the academic year 2018-19. Institute follows a semester system. An academic year (July-April) consists of two semesters namely Autumn and Spring, each approximately for 16 weeks duration. The first semester begins in the last week of July and ends by the last week of November. The second semester starts in the first week of January and ends by the last week of April. In each of the two semesters of the first year, a student is required to register for the relevant courses listed in the curriculum for the respective semester. The academic programme leading to the Ph.D. degree is broad based. It will involve a minimum course credit requirement and a research thesis.

The Institute follows a credit system. Credits are allotted to various courses depending upon the number of lectures, tutorials and laboratory hours per week. The student’s performance in a course is continuously evaluated throughout the semester and culminates in the award of a Grade on a 10- point scale. Performance in a semester is evaluated in terms of the weighted average of grade points secured in all the courses registered in that semester, which is known as Semester Performance Index (SPI). A Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) is the weighted average of the grade points obtained in all the courses registered by the student since the time of joining the Institute.

The institute offers the PhD programme in Chemistry, Physics, Computer Sciences, Electrical Sciences, Mechanical Sciences, Mathematics and Humanities and Social Sciences under Regular and Part time (External /Sponsored) category and below the are steps for admission to PhD programme in IIT Goa

Step 1 : All qualified candidates, who desire to apply for PhD programme at IIT Goa, have to fill online application portal available on the website

Step 2 : Shortlisted candidates will be invited via email for written exam and/or interview.

Step 3: Offer letter will be sent to provisionally selected candidates based on written exam and/or interview for their acceptance to PhD programme.

Step 4 : Offer letter will be sent to waitlist candidate, if any (incase provisionally selected candidate rejects the offer of admission to PhD programme)

Step 5 : Candidates can confirm their seat, only after completion of Document verification and fee payment.

PhD Programme

The award of the Ph.D. degree is in recognition of high achievements, independent research and application of scientific knowledge to the solution of technical and scientific problems. Creative and productive inquiry is the basic concept underlying the research work. The details of research programmes in various Departments/Centres/Schools.

Course work and other academic requirements: In order to overcome any deficiency in the breadth of fundamental training or proper foundation for advanced work, special make up or pre-doctoral courses are given by each Department/ Centre. These courses are given either by faculty member or by guest speakers and specialists in the profession. Normally candidates having a B.Tech./M.Sc./M.A. or equivalent degree are required to complete a minimum of 12* credits with a minimum required GPA of 7.5. M.Tech or equivalent degree holders are required to complete a minimum of 6* credits with a minimum required GPA of 7.5.

*A Department/Centre may specify a higher credit requirement for all their PhD programmes and/or require an individual scholar to complete a larger number of credits based on his/her background and preparation level.

Admission to the PhD Programmes: Admission to the Ph.D. programmes is normally made on the basis of an interview conducted by the Department/Centre concerned through its Department Research Committee (DRC) / Centre Research Committee (CRC). DRC/CRC may decide to conduct a written test as well to screen the candidates. Applications are invited from candidates by advertising the programmes in Employment News/leading newspapers in March for the first semester and in October for the second semester every year.

Admission schedule: Normally, Ph.D. programmes are advertised in the month of March and October each year in the Employment news as well as in leading newspapers and admissions are carried out in the months of May and December. Further, admission to Ph.D programme is possible any time in the year through DRC/CRC. Ph.D. scholars can join the institute at any time of the year though the course registration will be possible only at the beginning of the subsequent semester. Such candidates must also fulfill the required academic qualification/ experience at the time of interview. They must join the institute within 4 weeks after the issue of admission offer unless specifically permitted otherwise. Admission is subject to vacancy being available in the relevant specializations.

Duration of the programmes: Minimum period of registration required for students with M.Tech. or equivalent qualifications is 2 years whereas those with B.Tech. or equivalent qualifications is 3 years. All candidates are allowed a maximum of 7 years for submission of their thesis.

The Institute currently offers  M.Tech (R) + Ph.D. (Dual Degree)  program in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), Biosciences & Bioengineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Computing and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Indian Knowledge System and Mental Health Application (IKSMHA).

The award of this degree is in recognition of high academic achievements, independent research and application of knowledge to the solution of technical and scientific problems in engineering disciplines.

Ph.D. Joint Degree Programme (JDP)

IIT Mandi offers Joint Doctoral Programs (JDP) with its partner institutions. JDP provides students with an exclusive opportunity to live and study in both institutes during their candidature and earn their doctoral degree jointly awarded by the partner institutes. The thesis is evaluated by each Institute according to its own rules and the joint nature of the work is acknowledged in the degree certificate(s).

APPLICATION PROCEDURE 

It is the responsibility of the candidate to verify that she/he fulfills all the eligibility requirements for admission to the PhD program of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. Please consult the information brochure.

Image quality of the uploaded documents must be good enough to enable easy verification of the documents/items. Care should be taken to scan the documents (with file format jpg/jpeg) with the help of high quality scanner. The candidate should check the quality of the soft document before uploading.

Please keep pdf files for all documents for your credentials like marksheets, degree certificates, category certificates, etc. ready. They are required to be uploaded before completion of the submission.

(i) Image files of your recent passport size photograph and signature.

(ii) Qualifying Degree Marks-Sheet of final semester / final year (7 th semester / pre-final year marks-sheet for the ‘appearing candidates’ whose final semester / final year results are pending).

(iii) Valid GATE score card as indicated in the application form (for GATE-candidates).

(iv) 2-year’s experience certificate for candidates of Tech. in Mining Engineering/Opencast Mining (wherever applicable)

(v) Caste certificate/EWS income certificate to avail seat reservation under respective reserved category. (The OBC(NCL) certificate as per Annexure I and issued on or after April 1st , 2020 ).

(vi) Persons with Disability (PwD) are required to upload a certificate of disability from the authorized medical board attached to one of the following - Vocational Rehabilitation Centre (VRC) for Physically Handicapped persons/ Special Employment Exchange for Physically Handicapped/ Government Hospital (District and State level).

(vii) Endorsement certificate from the present employer ( for Sponsored candidates ).

(viii) Salary Bank Account statement/Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) statement( for Sponsored candidates working in private firms/organizations )

The admission of selected candidates through online counselling will be provisional after the payment of admission fee.

The candidate is to Report in-person at IIT(ISM), Dhanbad on the scheduled date, time and venue for completing his/her admission. If the candidate fails to report at the admission venue in-person along with the requisite documents in original by that date and time, he/she will not be considered afterwards for admission.

पीएचडी एक लैटिन शब्द है जिस का संक्षिप्त रूप पीएचडी होता है एवं अंग्रेजी में फुल फॉर्म (डॉक्टर आफ फिलासफी) “Doctor of Philosophy” होता है जो “ दर्शन शब्द ” अपने मूल ग्रीक अर्थ को दर्शाता है

Ph.D में एडमिशन प्रक्रिया 

उम्मीदवार Ph.D कोर्स करने के लिए तभी योग्य होते है यदि उन्होंने अपनी मास्टर डिग्री एक समान कोर्स / क्षेत्र / स्ट्रीम में पूरी की है जिसमें वे पीएचडी करना चाहते हैं

कुछ कॉलेज यह भी निर्देश करते हैं कि उम्मीदवारों को उनके द्वारा पेशकश की गई पीएचडी कोर्स को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए एक एमफिल (MPhil) पूरा करना होगा. 

जिन उम्मीदवारों ने UGC NET, GATE, JEST की प्रवेश परीक्षा को क्लियर किए है, उन्हें आमतौर पर पीएचडी कोर्स करने के दौरान फ़ेलोशिप की पेशकश की जाती है.  इसके अलावा, इग्नू और दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय जैसे विश्वविद्यालय भी अपने साथ पीएचडी पाठ्यक्रम करने वाले छात्रों को फेलोशिप प्रदान करते हैं.

Ph.D कोर्स फ़ीस

पीएचडी कोर्स की फीस इंस्टिट्यूट एवं संस्थान के अनुरूप अलग अलग होता है,  सरकारी संस्थान की फ़ीस प्राइवेट इंस्टिट्यूट की तुलना में कम होता है. पीएचडी कोर्स मुख्यतः 3 वर्ष का होता है जो  6 सेमेस्टर में बता हुआ होता है. 

 कॉलेज, इंस्टीट्यूट इस कोर्स की फीस समेस्टर या  वार्षिक अवधी का अनुशार मांग करते हैं. प्राइवेट इंस्टिट्यूट में पीएचडी कोर्स की  न्यूनतम फ़ीस 20000 से 30000 के करीब तथा अधिकतम फ़ीस 30000 से 50000 के बीच होता है.

जबकी सरकारी संस्थान में न्यूनतम फ़ीस 15000 से 25000 के बीच तथा अधिकतम फ़ीस 40000 तक होता है.

पीएचडी एक  स्नातकोत्तर डॉक्टरेट डिग्री है, इस डिग्री को वैसे स्टूडेंट को प्रदान किया जाता है, जो किसी एक सब्जेक्ट में अध्ययन करते है. इस कोर्स को करने के लिए एंट्रेंस एग्जाम क्लियर करना पड़ता है, उसके बाद किसी अच्छे कॉलेज में एडमिशन में सकता है.

पीएचडी में बहुत सारे विषय होते है, क्योंकि इस कोर्स में किसी एक विषय पर अध्ययन किया जाता है. अर्थात, आप किसी भी एक सब्जेक्ट के साथ पीएचडी कर सकते है.

सरकारी कॉलेजों में पीएचडी की फीस लगभग 15-20 या 30 हज़ार रुपए तक होता है. जबकि प्राइवेट कॉलेजों में पीएचडी की फीस 5 – 6 लाख रुपए तक हो सकता है.

IIT JAM 2024: Registration Window Ends Today at 5 PM, Apply at jam.iitm.ac.in

The extended deadline window for the Indian Institute of Technology, Joint Admission test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2024 will be wrapping up by 5 pm today, April 29. Students who are interested to apply in IIT JAM 2024 can now register at jam.iitm.ac.in with all the relavent details.

The website has also given a thorough detail of the admission procedure. Aspirants can check jam.iitm.ac.in/ApplicationProcess. The exam will be held for 300 seats over 89 postgraduate programmes at around 21 IITs for the academic year 2024 -25.

 IIT JAM Registration 2024: How to Apply

Students can apply for IIT JAM Registration 2024 by following the instructions listed below:

Step 1: Go to jam.iitm.ac.in, IIT JAM official website.

Step 2: Proceed to the ‘JAM Online Application System’ by navigating through the homepage.

Step 3: Fill up the necessary information.

Step 4: Upload the required details.

Step 5: Make the necessary application fee payment.

Step 6: Select “Submit.”

Step 7: Go to your application for IIT JAM 2024.

Step 8: Save the confirmation page for later use.

IIT JAM Registration 2024: Application Fee

To register for IIT JAM 2024, students must pay an application fee of Rs 750. It is recommended that students carefully complete the application form as they will not be able to make changes after the deadline. Even if an applicant wants to take two exam papers, they cannot submit two application forms since the officials would reject more than one application.

After the exam, the first test list will be released on May 31 where the candidates will need to pay the reservation fee of Rs 1,500 for General/ OBC/EWS and 7,500 for ST/SC by June 12.

Students need to understand that being listed on a test paper’s merit list does not ensure admission. Admissions to IIT JAM 2024 will take place under merit and seat availability. IIT JAM 2024: Registration Window For Counselling Closing Today, Initial Admission List On May 31

The registration window for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2024 counselling is closing today. Candidates who have attained scores equal to or higher than the JAM 2024 cut-off marks are eligible to apply for the counseling process via the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in .

Whether a candidate's name appears on the merit list for one or two test papers, they will have to submit only one fully completed application form. The first admission list for IIT JAM 2024 is scheduled to be released on May 31.

In the academic year 2024-25, approximately 3,000 seats of IITs and over 2,000 seats of the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru (IISc) will be filled through JAM 2024 scores.

IIT JAM Counselling 2024

The admission process will consist of four rounds, with the possibility of additional rounds if vacancies persist. Candidates who receive offers in any round will need to log in to the official website within the specified timeframe and choose one of three options: (a) Accept and Freeze, (b) Accept with Upgrade, or (c) Reject and Quit.

Candidates who selected Accept and Upgrade in the previous round should log in to the portal to verify their updated seat allocation.

JAM 2024 aims to fill a total of 3,000 seats across 89 postgraduate programs at 21 IITs for the academic year 2024-25. The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is conducting the examination.

JAM 2024: Withdrawal Of joint MSc-PhD Programme 

IIT Madras announced the withdrawal of the joint MSc-PhD programme in Chemical and Molecular Biology, which was offered by IIT Kharagpur, from JAM 2024.

JAM 2024: Seats To Be Filled

In addition to the IITs, more than 2,000 seats at the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru (IISc) will also be filled.

Candidates will have until June 4 to make payments for seat reservations. The second admission list is set to be published on June 12.

IIT JAM Counselling 2024: Registration Fee

Applicants who have been offered and confirmed their acceptance of the seat must make an online payment of the seat booking fee of Rs 15,000 for the General/OBC-NCL/EWS category and Rs 7,500 for the SC/ST/PwD category within the specified timeframe.
