This study examined the MAPs (Management Accounting Practices) in the NMCs (Nepalese Manufacturing Companies), observing the impacts on OEP (Organizational Efficiency and Performance) within a contingency theory framework. The study's objective was to report the adoption level and the benefits derived from TMATs (Traditional/Conventional Management Accounting Techniques) and CMATs (Contemporary/Modern Management Accounting Techniques) in the NMCs. An empirical survey of 385 respondents from eighteen listed NMCs in the NEPSE (Nepal Stock Exchange) was conducted using a structured questionnaire. The level of adoption and benefits associated with OEP and future emphasis provided the discussion's premise. The findings uncovered a negative and significant association between the TMATs and CMATs with OEP in the NMCs. The package of TMATs had some minor negative impacts compared to the CMATs. Small and Medium scale enterprises (SMEs) play a vital role in economic and social development of developing countries. However, their existence is often threatened by the poor accounting practices they are characterized with. SMEs are often failing to leverage adequately the potential of management accounting for helping them achieve their financial objectives, including profitability and liquidity. This research examined Management Accounting Practices in three sectors of SMEs within Ilorin metropolis, Kwara State, Nigeria. Seventy seven (77) copies of the questionnaire were administered and 64 copies were retrieved. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used. The result shows that more of traditional accounting method were being used and little of contemporary method which mean that the use of costing, budgeting and performance evaluation are more prevalent. The results also show that a significant number of respondents have adopted one or more measures both financial and non-financial but the reliance on financial measures is greater than non-financial measures. The main non-financial measures frequently used by respondents are survey of customer satisfaction, on-time delivery and employee turnover. The study also found out that three out of the five contingent factors (size, qualified internal accountant and owner/manager participation) affecting the extent of use of MAPs do not have significant relationship with MAPs. While technology has significant relationship with MAPs and also, MAPs also indicated strong large positive relationship with organizational performance.

this article provides a summary graphic representation (maps) of the quantitative evidence in management accounting published from 2002 to 2012. These maps display variables, causal links, and the level of analysis for 257 studies. We allocate these studies to six maps and 29 individual sub-maps, thus providing an easily accessible overview of the existing quantitative evidence in management accounting. We compare our results to those provided by Luft and Shields (2003) and find that research interest in empirical quantitative management accounting has increased substantially. Additionally, the complexity of the tested models has increased. In spite of this, the maps reveal potential issues regarding the robustness of results caused by a lack of standardization of measurement instruments and scarcity of replications. We evaluate the adherence to the 17 guidelines that Luft and Shields (2003) have provided and find that roughly half of them are respected. Finally, we exemplify how our maps may be used to identify research gaps and to inspire future research. For example, we show how the graphical representation of the combined evidence from multiple studies reveals competitive mediations that have not been explicitly tested in the individual studies and require more research. Accounting might not sound like the world’s most exciting job, but you’d be surprised just how important it is. Every company worth its salt will need a top-shelf accountant, and to become one, you have to go through the necessary academic process. Now, learning to become an accountant is an uphill task, especially when you consider just how many research papers you’ll have to produce throughout your education. Finding the perfect accounting topics for research paper will be quite challenging, even for the most seasoned and well-prepared student.

Theoretically, you can draw inspiration for your accounting research paper topic from anywhere and from anything – but if you’ve ever actually written one, you’ll know that that isn’t the case. Instead, coming up with the topic alone will require extensive research and a lot of time, as a great research paper has to be:

  • Well worded
  • Properly formatted
  • Based on research
  • Extensive enough

It’s important to note that the quality of your research partially depends on the topic you choose. That means that by picking a good accounting topic (consider broadening it with our top picks of business research topics ), you can practically build your entire paper from there on forth, making the process far, far easier.

Accounting Research Paper Topics

Now, to make the entire process that much easier, you can always opt for a research paper topic that someone else has thought of. It’s true, finding original topics can be arduous because as time goes by, the number of research papers done on any given subject keeps growing.

However, human creativity knows no bounds, which is why there will always be plenty of attention-grabbing and original options for you to pick from. To make it that much easier for you, we’ve decided to develop seventy top-tier accounting research paper topic ideas that you can use for your next research paper, which you can find below.

Writing a paper isn’t easy, which is why you might want to consider getting someone else to do it for you. You might be surprised, but most students opt to pay for college papers rather than write the papers themselves.

Academic institutions and colleges tend to stuff your daily schedule with all kinds of things, which means that getting some help with research paper is a smart decision.

A lot of services that promise supposedly well-written papers with fast turnaround times and at a suspiciously low price offer shoddy work. Getting something that isn’t up to standard is only going to hurt you, as you’ll have to create a brand new research paper and on a much tighter schedule.

If you find it hard to come up with an outstanding accounting research paper topic or you want professional work done quickly, consider choosing PapersOwl. It is a college paper writing service staffed by industry and academic leaders who are more than happy to finish your writing assignment for you, and at a fairly affordable price.
