During the summer vacation, I visited Mussoorie with my parents. I had never been to Mussoorie before. So it was a new experience for me. Everywhere there was a great hustle and bustle. The weather was very pleasant. Mussoorie is Rightly called the ‘Queen of Hills’. It transports one into a heaven of joy.

My parents took me to Lal Tibba, the highest point in Mussoorie. Lal Tibba provides a mesmerizing view of Himalayan mountain peaks. I was mesmerized to see beautiful scenery and high mountains. We also visited Happy Valley, Kempty Falls and Mussoorie lake. Visiting Mussoorie was the most memorable incident in my life.

Memorable Day of My Life: 120 Words

Last month, our school arranged a trip to the Taj Mahal, Agra. The beauty of the Taj Mahal seemed to have no parallel.  It is made of white marble on the bank of the river Yamuna. The garden in front of it has tall cypress trees, colourful flowers, and rows of mountains. Many precious gems and stones are seen set on the tomb.

I found in the Taj Mahal the artistic and cultural heritage of India. Every stone of this building tells the story of the true love of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz. The white marble structure unrolled before me a new world of beauty. It is, indeed, matchless in beauty and grandeur. That’s why it is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. I was greatly charmed by its beauty. I felt breathless for a white. It was undoubtedly the most memorable day of my life.

A memorable incident is an incident which leaves an everlasting impression on our minds. The most memorable incident of my life is when I got an opportunity to exhibit my talent on stage in front of a huge audience. I always dreamt of becoming a singer. As a kid, I used my toothbrush as the mike and treated my dolls as my audience.

I was enrolled in a vocal training course in an eminent singer’s singing class and from there, based on my performance I was selected to display my skills at the Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Initially, I was a bit nervous, but got over it soon when I heard the tune. My performance was well received and the audience acclaimed me with their applauds and kept yelling “once more”. The incident made me feel on top of the world.

Memorable Day of My Life Essay: 200-250 Words

A moment which is sweet lasts long in our memory. I distinctly remember the day. My H. S. examination was over and I was having a relaxed time. One day, after spending the afternoon with my friends, I returned home.

My parents were waiting for me. Sister also came running. She was carrying a big envelope in her hand. They all seemed to be very excited and their faces bore reflections of animated joy. My sister shouted that there was a good news for me in the envelope and she would not tell unless she got a heavy bakshis.

After much cajoling, I could get the letter. Lo and behold! It was the admission letter from the I.I.T, Kharagpur. My joy then knew no bounds, I did quite well in the joint entrance examination. But to get selected finally in the highly competitive all-India test was something none could be sure of. In fact, I was a little tense to know the result.

Parents blessed me for my success. Neighbours also came. They all congratulated me again and again. I was lost in golden dreams. At last, I was going to join an institution of international fame! It was the happiest and most memorable day in my life because my future career got a definite direction that day. But that happy day taught me a lesson, too. I made up my mind to work hard in order to be successful in my career.

Life is Short, Seek Happiness

What Does Your Ideal Day Look Like?

perfect day in your life essay

Early in my adult life I wasn’t into any of that inspirational goal-setting stuff that I saw others doing. To me, grown up life seemed pretty simple. Work hard, be good at something, eventually you’ll make a lot of money doing it.

Of course, that’s rubbish. When you’re working for other people, the reward for hard work is usually just more work. You also tend to be given more of the work that you’re good at, even though it’s not necessarily work you enjoy doing. And money is a poor measure of success. There’s plenty of rich people in the world who are miserable.

As I got older I realized two things:

  • Working hard without a goal in mind can easily move you further away from where you really want to be.
  • The main thing that I want more of in my life is happiness.

So, if happiness is a goal that is important to me, then my days should be filled with things that either make me happy, or move me closer to that goal. To have more days like that, I needed to know what those days should look like.

Which brought me to the question, what does my ideal day look like?

When I asked myself that question a few years ago, this is what I came up with:

Wake up around 5am, drink a glass of water, and go downstairs to my home gym for some exercise. Afterwards, head back upstairs and make breakfast for my family. Eat my delicious breakfast burrito, drink my coffee, and read a book on my Kindle or some saved articles from around the web on my iPad. After breakfast, spend a little time with the kids before they head off to school or go do their own thing. Then I’ll go and do a few hours of writing or other projects that I have on. Just before lunch, go through my emails and add anything to my todo list that needs a follow up, then go and eat while reading my Kindle or watching some YouTube clips. After lunch, do a little more writing, then hit my todo list items for an hour or so. In the late afternoon, go do some exercise with the whole family, like a bike ride, a walk, or play basketball at the park. Pick up something fresh for dinner, and cook a nice, healthy meal for the family while the kids chill out or do their homework. After dinner when my wife goes to the gym, I’ll do a little reading, Netflix, an online guitar lesson, or just play some video games. Get to bed around 9pm for a good night’s sleep.

That all sounds pretty good to me. Unfortunately, my days were nothing like that. In fact, not even my weekends were like that. I was so far from my vision of an ideal day that my heart sank a little, and I thought to myself “Geez, this is f***ed up!”

Looking at my ideal day, there are some themes that emerge:

  • Time with family
  • Healthy eating
  • Work that I enjoy doing
  • Control over my time
  • Fun leisure activities
  • A good night’s sleep

When I compared my perfect day to some of the jobs that I’ve had during my career, none of those themes were present in the typical day. I would wake up tired from a late night, scoff down some breakfast cereal, and rush out the door to catch the train into the city. After a half hour of being squished in a peak hour train carriage, I would walk into the office and sit down at my desk.

The day then consisted of an endless barrage of other people’s priorities. Lunch consisted of whatever food I could quickly run out and buy, then hurriedly eat as I dealt with more of other people’s priorities and tried to pretend I couldn’t see my gym bag sitting under my desk. After staying late to deal with yet another of someone else’s priorities, I would squeeze into another train for the ride home.

At home we would cook whatever fast, convenient meal we could throw together, then I’d log in remotely and try to close some overdue tasks before stumbling into bed when I couldn’t stay awake any longer.

That’s a far cry from my ideal day.

There were only two ways I was going to achieve something close to my ideal day. Either I needed to win the lottery, or I needed to stop letting my job consume my entire day. Since the lottery win was not likely to happen, I set about trying to fix my day job. I needed to find a job that allowed my days to include most, if not all, of those themes from my ideal day.

That meant I needed to find a job that allowed me to work more reasonable hours. Having more time away from work meant I could spend time with family, get regular exercise, and take the time to eat healthy. During work hours, I needed to have more control over how my time was spent, so I wasn’t constantly reacting to other people’s priorities, and could do more of the work that I enjoyed. Yes, I would still need to do things that I didn’t want to do. That’s life. I just didn’t want that stuff filling up my entire day.

In the years after I first asked myself that question, I worked in many different roles that fit my ideal day to some extent. Some jobs had flexible hours, as long as the work got done. Others had a gym near the office, or lockers and showers in the basement, so I could work out at lunch and ride my bicycle to and from work. Some had clear technology roadmaps with reasonable target dates that didn’t require a non-stop 150% effort. Some of them had none of those things, and I didn’t stay long before moving on to another job.

Yes, crunch-time during projects might mean staying late a few nights here and there. Upgrading systems sometimes means working on a weekend. Critical outages need you to keep working on them until they’re fixed. But those should be exceptions, not normal days. A company that is constantly running on crunch time, or suffering constant outages due to poorly designed systems, was not where I wanted to work. Some overtime or on call work is a fact of life in IT, but a consistent 50+ hour week fighting fires is just not something we should accept as the norm.

Now, the obvious point here is that the ideal day is not necessarily what you can expect to live every single day of your life. Your day to day life is going to vary once you factor in things like relationships, having kids, maintaining a social life, the weather, and so on. Sure, I’d love to take the kids down to the park every single afternoon, but two or three times a week is more likely. They have other stuff they also like to do on their own. Week days will look different to weekends, winter will look different to summer, and so on. There’ll be a natural ebb and flow in your lifestyle, and that is normal.

Your ideal day will look different to mine. Perhaps you don’t mind a long commute, because it lets you get some reading done. Perhaps you prefer to spend your weekends playing video games, hiking in the wilderness, or building your own furniture out of recycled wood. There is no right or wrong. It’s all about what you want. To maximise your career and achieve a happy life-work balance, you need to know what you’re striving for.

And that starts by answering this question:

What does an ideal day look like for me?

Try it and see how close you are.

Paul – I truly enjoyed reading this BLOG post. Your “ideal day” is what I also strive for and you are right, it is all about doing the little things you can to get there. You and I have similar experience trying to find that proper job that will allow us to reach this objective, I’m getting close, but now I have a great template to shoot for. Good luck my friend!

I’m pretty close to living my ideal day. It’s not too dissimilar to yours. There are still definitely crunch times and times when you’re up late or always on, but for me it’s worth it when I can work from home and go for a walk with my husband at lunch time. That’s what makes me happy.

I also strive with ideal day of my life cause I have my late sister’s kids whom I am trying to help. They live with their father & step momy I want really spend time with them but because of my work I can not be with them. I work as guard, from 6 am to 6 pm and I am trying to read cause I also need my matric if only I can achieve that will be pritty good and I will thank the Lord for that

The Best Day of My Life Essay

The best day of my life is my 16th birthday. It is a day I will never forget in my life. I consider it till now my best birthday. All my relatives and friends were present at my birthday party. The best part of the party was my grandmother was present there. For the last time, she prepared all the food items I loved eating. It is even more special as it was the last day that I spent with her, after which she passed away. I spent the most time with her and she also enjoyed herself a lot with me for the last time in her life. This birthday is even more special as it was my last birthday with my grandmother.

The best day of my life was when I went on a school outing with my friends. We ate delicious food and enjoyed the day to the fullest.

I woke up at 6 am and got ready for school. My mother dropped me to school. From there we went to a science park by bus. During the entire journey we danced, sang, played games, and did many more fun activities. We ate snacks and played games with our teacher also. When we arrived we visited the science city and enjoyed every bit of it.

Besides the science park, it was a water park, so we quickly changed our clothes and jumped into the pool. We enjoyed ourselves in the pool, and we kept on playing for an hour. After that, we took a bath and changed clothes. We had rice and chicken for our lunch. We loved the food. After the food, we returned by bus. During the whole bus journey, we sang and danced.

This day is memorable as I could spend it with my friends. The day was a day to be remembered. We had so much fun together. Everything is worth remembering from the beginning to the end of the journey.

Life is full of events - both good and bad. Some things will be forgotten over time, and some will stay in your heart forever. Life is full of surprises and shocks, good and bad news, and unexpected turns. Fortune can benefit some people in life, and help them to reach the pinnacle of glory and happiness.

Recently I received the best gift from my dad. Since childhood, I always wanted a dog, and recently he had brought me one. I was studying in my room, dad entered my room with a labrador in his hands. I jumped from my bed with happiness. I also started crying as I could not believe my eyes. My mom and dad were always against having a dog. But he brought it, and made it the best day of my life.

Significance of My Best Day

I still remember myself bursting into tears and happiness at the same time. That night I held Bruno the whole time. The next moment I saw myself buying stuff for the dog. I bought food, clothes, toys, and many more things which would make him happy. That night I held him tight and slept beside him. I could not sleep the whole night due to the excitement.

I looked at him throughout the entire night with utmost happiness and surprise. That day was the best day of my life as I got my best friend. A best friend who would never leave me. A best friend who will always be there for me whenever I need him.A best friend who will make me the happiest. A friend who will love me to the fullest. That dog gave me the ultimate happiness and, this is how the day became the best day of my life. I named the dog Bruno.

I am always looking for him whenever I come back from school. He always jumps, licks me, and wags his tail after seeing me. My friends come along with me to play with him. Bruno also became their friend.

What I Love about My Dog

The thing that I love about Bruno the most is that he can gel well with people. My sister was not that comfortable with dogs. But Bruno made her fall in love with him. They are now the best of friends. He would jump in happiness whenever he saw him. She would also run toward him and would pick him up. She feeds him food and always brings toys and treats for him. She loves her to the fullest and, at the same time he loves her to the fullest. This is how Bruno became everyone's favourite.

Every person has some happy days and some bad days in their life. Both help people learn different things from these different experiences. But the happy days are worth remembering. They help you cheer on your days of sadness and bring back all the memories that are worth cherishing. The best day has a great impact on our life.

All this will be known here in The best day of my life essay .

The best day of my life essay

Everyone passed through sad and happy times , but you have to have a day that is the best day of your life and that is what we will know here in The best day of my life essay.

The best day of my life

Our lives are full of many days and events, some days will be happy full of good and joy that will bring joy to our hearts, and remain firmly in the heart forever. The memories of the happy days remain present in the heart and spirit.

And the happiest day is  the day of graduation from each stage of study. It is a day full of mixed feelings that can not be explained or separated.

Despite the great joy of success and graduation, the heart feels for a moment the great emptiness that will surround it after the farewell of the friends of study, and at the same time, the joy remains the master of the situation, there is no greater joy than the joy of graduation.

No matter how many happy days in life there is no nicer than the day I get the fruits of fatigue and diligence,  Success in study is the basis of the future, the key to life, something we are entitled to be proud of; because it is an achievement for ourselves, and the realization of many dreams and aspirations, and the transition from one stage to another.

And because it is a happy day we must see the expressions of joy and pleasure on the faces of all friends and family who come to congratulate us on success,  But that joy on the faces of parents is the most beautiful and most expensive at all.

The best day of my life was when  my father surprised me with a gift on my birthday. When I opened it, I found a very cool bike. I couldn’t prevent myself from jumping because of joy.

I remember urging him to teach me how to drive it daily until I could learn to drive. How happy I was when I found him seeing me driving alone. And I liked a lot when he smiles after I perform one of the simple movements such as driving with one hand or doing any other movements. This day was one of the best days of my life.

I remember very well that I still have this bike even though it no longer fits me. But my memories with it are wonderful, I raced by it with my friends, and I also enjoyed a lot when driving it at sunset and the weather was humid and beautiful, and the air caressed my face and body.

It was such a great feeling, I might get to ride the bike again to get back this feelings from time to time.

The best day of my life : (Short story)

The best day of my life when the doctors managed to cure me of cancer. After a struggle that lasted for two and a half years, I can’t describe the many feelings I’ve had for two and a half years. Whether clinging to hope and trying to raise morale and ignoring all feelings of fear and anxiety, and certainly pain is one of the things that if it gets stuck in your head, it is not a simple matter to get it out.

Therefore, after a journey of struggle that its beginning was ” be optimistic” to a congratulations from the doctor after telling me that I had gotten rid of any traces of tumor in my digestive system.

Of course I am very grateful to hear this now. I can make up for what I missed from activities and studies. I was trying as much as possible to maintain my educational progress. But because of my long-term hospitalization, I missed a lot of classes.

I would like to thank all my friends who supported me in raising my spirits and visiting me continuously.

The best day of my life essay 300 words

There are many beautiful days in my life, but I recently had a very serious disease, Corona disease (Covid-19). And I was about to die. Therefore, I consider the day that I recovered from Corona disease (Covid-19) as the best and most beautiful day of my life, I even decided to celebrate this day like I celebrated my birthday, it is like a new birth for me.

The story of my infection with the dreaded virus began when I attended the wedding of one of my friends. I was very happy for my friend, and after I gave him a valuable gift on the occasion of his marriage, I participated in singing and dancing,

Everyone in attendance was happy, singing cheerful songs and dancing and at the end of the party I congratulated my friend and his bride and left.

After that I felt a little tired but I thought I had the flu. I didn’t care about it, and at two o’clock at night my temperature rose and I felt severe pain in my back. My whole body was in pain, I could hardly move and feel very weak.

Then I remembered that I was not wearing a mask at my friend’s wedding, so I suspected that what I was feeling from the pain were the symptoms of Corona (Covid-19).

So I immediately went to the hospital, I was alone and could not tell any of my family members what I was suffering from.

In the hospital, I was examined by the specialized doctor, and the doctor told me that there is a suspicion that you have been infected with the Corona virus (Covid-19), and some tests and x-rays must be done to confirm this matter.

I tried to be consistent, and went to the lab to do the tests and then to the x-ray room, and after I took the x-ray, I got dizzy. I fell to the ground and could not move, and the doctor and nurses rushed towards me to save me.

I did not feel anything after that, my health condition deteriorated very quickly and I was transferred to the intensive care room. I stayed in the intensive care unit 14 days.

It was proven by analyzes and x-rays that I was infected with the Corona virus (Covid-19), and the doctors and nurses took great care of me, until my health improved and I recovered completely from the disease.

I considered the day I got rid of this dangerous disease as the best day of my life and decided to celebrate that day every year.

The best day of my life short essay

The best day of my life was last vacation. My father and mother talked to us that there is a social duty on us towards cancer patients. And  that we should support children and adults, but especially children.

So we actually started asking what we’re going to do there. My father began to tell us about the importance of knowing the psychological state of the patient. Therefore, we must take care of  the psychological state of patients without notifying them that you pity them.

You should treat them cheerfully and work to support them happily. Then he told us not to worry about this disease is not contagious.

He also cautioned not to take too long with patients and to respect time. So we actually went to the hospital. After wearing protective clothing so as not to transmit any diseases to patients, we were prepared to enter the first patient’s room, who was a small child at the age of 14 years.

I was a little afraid of my actions but after a short time I managed to make him smile a lot. Only then I felt  happy and understood what I should do.

This moment was indeed the most beautiful moment in my life when I was able to support him and make him a happy person.

Describe the best day of your life

The best day of my life was very interesting, I don’t know how it happened but I felt a strange optimism as soon as I woke up that day. I felt very strong and energetic. I went to school and attended some normal classes,

When I finished, I went to the gym by chance to find the coach talking that he wanted to test some new students in basketball. I said to myself “this is the time to put your fear aside, either now or forget about it forever”.

I went to the coach and told him that I wanted to apply with them, he said why not, and asked me to come so that he can see some of my skills.

I went to change my clothes and participated in training and warm-up with them, and it was time for individual work.

I’ve never felt like this before, so high concentration with more energy , and I didn’t feel any fear. Just me and the ball and scoring.

Everyone was amazed at my skill and how I had not joined the team before, and the coach asked me to join immediately and he is happy that I asked to join. This day represents the best day of my life.

A day in my life essay 200 words

The most beautiful day of my life was so amazing and wonderful. I still remember that wonderful feeling I had as soon as I saw the gift my father brought me.

I woke up to my mother’s voice asking me to go down because my father wanted me to do something important. I went to the living room where my father is standing and hiding a big box in it, and he told me what you think about opening this box to see what’s inside.

I felt strange and some different feelings such as confusion and longing, I went to open the box and there was a sound of something moving inside, I said, Oh my God, Dad, there is something alive inside. What is this?. He replied, “Why don’t you open it up and see for yourself, my dear?.

I actually quickly opened the box to find inside a puppy with beautiful and soft golden hair. Oh my God, how beautiful I immediately hugged him and looked for a few minutes at my father and mother and found them filming the moment.

I can’t describe the feelings of happiness I had, I wish I could fly or jump higher to express how happy I am at this moment. This is my first pet and I loved it so much, I have never had any pet to be responsible for it and I can teach it some manners and enjoy playing with it.

I watched many movies on YouTube or TV, and I saw such a moment, but nothing really describes it as it should. This is a very wonderful gift, especially when you are of the right age. It was a really great gift.

The best day of my life essay 200 words

Undoubtedly, there are situations or days that pass by us that make us appreciate the value of the things around us. The best day of my life when I miraculously survived a car accident.

Last year I was cycling in the roads around the park, which is close to my house, and decided to get out on the highway for a bit and try cruising among the cars.

Suddenly, a terrifyingly fast car appeared and I did not notice it, and the driver was talking on the mobile as well. I didn’t notice the car because it was coming from behind all I could hear was the sound of the brakes and I felt a collision from behind that made me jump in the air. I fall to the ground next to another car that almost passed over me.

I was very scared and can’t believe that I managed to survive this accident, of course this day taught me a lot like not taking risks and it made me mature a lot. It made me feel responsible and self-esteem and that I must maintain my safety.

I went through several other situations that some of my friends tried to lure me into, but witch saved me was sticking to my decision not to take risks and stick to safety first.

After that, I learned that they were exposed to some dangers and accidents, so I felt grateful that I stuck to my decision and didn’t perform some dangerous games or dangerous movements.

I felt that this day was a huge difference in my life, and helped me to mature and appreciate the good things in my life.

The best day of my life essay 100 words

The best day of my life when my aunt  was cured of cancer. My father was very worried about his sister and her children.

That year, my father took my cousins to live with us temporarily until their mother recovered. In addition to that their father is always accompanying the mother in the hospital.

It was a very harsh period when you lived with your family members and you find them suffering in front of your eyes. This does not leave time for you to rest and you live your life to check on them only. It somehow brings you closer to the pain they feel.

So I found that the happiest day of my life was when we got the news of my aunt’s recovery and we all went to pick her up from the hospital and go home.

The best day of my life essay 150 words

Undoubtedly, I am fortunate because I am healthy and in good health and do not have any serious diseases. In the past months, my best friend was suffering from cancer and was in a lot of pain due to chemotherapy.

He faced it with strength and I supported him a lot on a daily basis. I could see him every day losing weight, losing all the hair on his head. Completely changed and became thin and suffers from severe pain in all of his body.

It was a very painful experience for him and certainly for me as well because I was going through it with him and I did not give up on him.

I learned a lot through this experience like that people can handle pain when there is someone to support them and always raise their moral and psychological side.

I also learned that we may face disappointments in people close to us, and that they may stay away from us because we suffer a lot and they have nothing to offer in their belief.

As I learned from this experience the most important lesson, that life is changeable, and as with a severe fall, it is also possible to rise again. That’s why it was the best day of my life when my friend was cured.

Speech on the best day of my life

Certainly the past two years were the most difficult for many around the world, we went through a global epidemic, many were infected, so the best day of my life was because of overcoming this crisis with all my family members.

All my family members have contracted this disease, and we have all been isolated in different places. There were fears and great anxiety from each individual about himself and his family members, about whom nothing was known.

And the more severe the disease, the more fearful we became for our safety. We went through some bad days, but because of my young age and my strong immunity, the infection was not as strong as my father, he is a smoker, and he suffers from some diseases that affect immunity. So he suffers more from this disease.

I am the first to recover in my family members, I thank God for that, but really the most difficult period I went through when I was waiting for news about my family and the development of their condition.

So I really see it as the best day of my life when all my family members are healed and we are reunited under one roof. We were quite lucky. Many families went through such an experience and lost many of their family members.

Paragraph about the best day in my life

The best day of my life when I was able to recover from my foot injury and get back to playing football again. This is the best day of my life, because I was so afraid of losing my skills and not being able to play enough like I used to do before the injury and my broken leg.

But after training and physiotherapy, I was able to go back and play again, and I feel full of energy and vitality and there is no effect because of my feet.

This makes me very happy because my dreams and future ambitions are related to this sport that I practice and I would very much like to continue playing it and become professional in it, achieving great successes and gaining fame and money.

So it’s great that I can continue and still have the opportunity to do so.

Best day of my life essay for class 5

The best day of my life was last year when I caught a fish with my dad. My father took me fishing with him and prepared everything for this trip.

A long time ago, my father told me that he would take me fishing soon, and when the moment came, I was very happy.

We went to the lake and sat in the place where my father used to fish, and my father prepared everything and taught me how to fish and throw baits in the water.

I had some problems at first and my string got stuck in some rocks and tree branches, but in the end I was able to understand the cause and dealt well.

I was watching the hook well, as my father told me, and I found something that attracted me strongly, I felt a great shock and pulled it in my direction, I found great resistance and the fish jumped everywhere. At this moment I felt a feeling that I had never felt in all my life, an absolute happiness when I looked at the fish that I managed to catch.

A day in my life essay 100 words

The best day of my life was when I could draw my mom. Recently, I have been trying to learn which hobby I can do at home due to the global pandemic that prevents us from leaving the house, accompanying friends, playing sports or gatherings in general.

So for a while I have been watching many videos that teach drawing skills. I have already been able to apply the explanations to many famous personalities. But one day I woke up and wanted to try drawing a family member, and follow the instructions I learned.

I brought all the tools and sat in front of my mother without telling her what I’m doing. And when I showed her the drawing, she was amazed at how wonderful the drawing was, which encouraged me to color the picture to become more realistic.

I waited until evening, and when my father returned I made him see the painting. He did not believe that I was the one who drew it and he told me what I used, did I use a program that converts the image into a drawing, so we told him that I drew it. He was very happy and told me many nice words, and encouraged me to continue this hobby.

This day was very nice for me and made me feel that I can achieve something interesting and beautiful that makes others happy, especially that my mother asked me to photograph this drawing and published it on her own account, and it got many positive comments, all of which are encouragement and amazement.

I love this day so much and would like to learn more because of this day.

How to Answer the “What’s Your Perfect Day?” Interview Question

How-to-Answer-the-What's-Your-Perfect-Day-Interview-Question

Recently, it came out that Facebook’s head recruiter’s favorite interview question to ask is more like a personal essay question. “On your very best day at work—the day you come home and think you have the best job in the world—what did you do that day?”

Now that this is making the viral rounds, don’t be surprised to hear it in your non-Facebook interviews as well. Here are some tips for breaking the question down and being ready to pounce on it. If you have a upcoming job interview, make sure to go over these 10 toughest interview questions.

DO understand what the question is probing.

This is a test to see what you value and prioritize in your work life. Your perfect workday is what you want to achieve—just on a more micro level than the ol’ “Where do you see yourself in five years?” question.

DON’T take it literally.

Don’t take the interviewer through your teeth-brushing, your miraculously easy commute, your cappuccino waiting on your desk when you get to the office.  Consider it more of a highlight reel of the best moments of that ideal day.

DO tailor your answer to this job.

This isn’t the place to debut your fantasy career as a tennis pro. If the job you’re interviewing for includes managing a team, talk about how the day includes productive meetings with your squad (leadership skills). If you’ll be in a marketing role, talk about how the day would include a breakthrough by using a new form of digital media (tech-savvy skills and being results oriented).  This question is a great way to wave your passion points in with the skills you want to emphasize in the interview.

DON’T make a joke out of it.

This is a legitimate question, and the interviewer wants a sincere answer. It might be tempting to say that your perfect day involves skipping work and sipping fruity drinks poolside. Resist that urge.

DO include specifics.

You can use your own professional goals to create specific scenarios that would make you feel fulfilled. But again—make sure this matches up to the job description. If you have a particular goal, especially one that aligns with the job for which you’re interviewing, work that in here.

DON’T spin an epic story.

Keep it brief, like 2-3 points. Hint: if you start including characters with backstory, you’ve gone too far. Never forget that you’re in a job interview, not a casual conversation.

DO be authentic.

If you’re passionate about an aspect of your career, here is an excellent chance to gush about it. The interviewer is trying to gauge your personal relationship to your job, and this question is an opportunity to show how connected and committed you can be.

As interview questions go, this one is actually a pretty useful one to consider for your general career goals . Long before you step into any interview, you should know what makes you tick, professionally. And being able to focus in on that in an interview will make you a stronger, more confident candidate.

The Perfect Day

The Perfect Day - Content of Mind - The Life You Really Want

What does your perfect day look like? Write it down, make it happen, and change your life.

This is my version of Barbara Sher’s exercise in which one imagines one’s “perfect day.” My wife introduced me to it, and we use it to map out, individually, our personal and professional goals. Sometimes we share with each other, sometimes we don’t. It’s a personal thing, just for you, and should guide you to change your life in positive ways.

The exercise can sound cheesy to some – it certainly did to me. But in practice, it’s an effective way to drill down to what really matters to you. It can be a subtle but energizing motivator.

We often wish we spent our time doing other things. Our days are filled with jobs we hate, people we don’t like, and tasks we don’t want to do. And while it can feel like there’s nothing to do about it, there is.

Change only happens when we make it happen. But we fall into a trap: we only think about what we don’t want in our lives, instead of what we do want in our lives. And while removing unwanted parts of our lives is an important part of increasing our overall satisfaction, focusing on filling our days with what we do want works better.

How do you want to spend your time? That’s a vital question you need to ask yourself. The only way to be truly satisfied is to spend your time on things that are enjoyable, interesting and inspiring to you.

A fun and easy way to accomplish this is by imagining your “perfect day.”

Your perfect day can be whatever you want. This is your perfect day and no one else’s. It doesn’t matter what other people think; your perfect day is for you. If it includes other people, or even doing things for other people, that’s great! It might feature volunteering at a local food bank, but it also might simply be filled with reading a book and eating great food.

In order to get the most out of this exercise, however, I recommend you imagine your perfect weekly workday. The reason is that the purpose of this experiment is to improve your overall satisfaction with your life. Work is part of life; by imagining your ideal workday, it may push you to find a more satisfying career. That doesn’t have to be the goal, but it might be part of it.

A good way to start is to write down everything that is most important to you. You may want to look back at that list as you create your perfect day.

Imagine your perfect day from the moment you will wake up until the moment you will fall asleep.

A perfect day is not perfect unless every part of it is something you want. Each moment of your perfect day should be spent doing something you feel good about. This doesn’t mean that you make a million dollars or find the love of your life. It means that you don’t spend your time doing something you hate.

Your perfect day should be filled with things that matter to you.

Here is one example of a perfect workday for me:

  • Wake up in the morning, well-rested, in a comfortable home surrounded by nature, next to my wife
  • Kiss my wife goodbye as she either goes to work or goes about her day
  • Meditate for 20 to 45 minutes
  • Enjoy a cup of coffee while taking a short walk
  • Eat a light breakfast
  • Take second cup of coffee into my home office
  • Write for 1-3 hours
  • Workout or take a long walk
  • Write for 1-2 hours, or, work on other project
  • Short call to family member or good friend
  • Spend time with my wife as one of us makes dinner
  • More time with my wife
  • Read or listen to music before heading to bed

This is just one example of a perfect day for me. This is also a perfect day for me:

  • Enjoy a cup of coffee while thinking and journaling
  • Take a second cup of coffee into my home office
  • Work on music project or podcast episode
  • Take a short walk
  • Work again, creating, researching, or writing
  • Afternoon reading
  • Welcome my wife home and make dinner while talking
  • Watch a movie with my wife

Those are slightly different days, but both perfect days to me. Why? Because they include things that are important to me and that I enjoy. Why is work in there? Because the work is work that I want to do. Nowhere in my perfect day do I list “go to job I hate,” or “find a better job.”

I want to work from home. I want to create my own schedule. I want to write about things I care about, create meaningful work, and enjoy the process of creating. When I was working a job I no longer enjoyed, which was outside of the home, I wrote down my perfect day. I imagined the life I wanted, and then worked on steps to create it.

Also important to me are: meditation, time with my wife, contact with family and friends, working out, taking walks, reading and journaling, time to think, and sometimes napping. These are things that feed me, interest me, excite me, or bring me joy.

Attempting to reach your perfect day, every day, is a great motivator to change the aspects of your life that prevent your perfect day from happening.

My perfect day does not happen every day. In fact, it hasn’t happened yet because I’ve now added “surrounded by nature” to my perfect day. I live in a city, but I would rather live in a quiet place in the country or a small town. I want to wake up surrounded by forest or mountains or both. The fact that I’m not there yet doesn’t depress me; it reminds me of my goals.

So don’t alter your perfect day so that you can easily say you’ve achieved it. Write down what you actually want your perfect day to look like. Then chip away, bit by bit, until you reach it. It can happen! I still remember when right before bed one night, my wife exclaimed, “I did it! I just lived my perfect day!” It’s an amazing thing to feel, and an amazing thing to witness.

When I wrote down my perfect day, I was working a job I no longer enjoyed. I was working nights, so I was waking up in the afternoon. So, including “Wake up in the morning” was very important to me. I wasn’t meditating as much as I wanted to, nor was I taking many walks (which I truly enjoy). I knew I wanted to work from home writing and creating. Somehow, I had to make that happen.

Write down your perfect day and save it somewhere. Keep it in your purse or wallet, hang it somewhere in your home or office, or even keep it on your phone. Refer to it every so often as a reminder of what you want to achieve.

It may take you years to get there, but knowing how you want to spend your time is the first step. Your perfect day will never happen unless you know what it looks like. You need to fully visualize the life that you think will satisfy you. If you get to that perfect day and it’s not as perfect as you imagined, change it! You change all the time, so your idea of the perfect day will change, too.

What does your perfect day look like?

Your Perfect Day

Every day has potential. Some days live up to it.

What would make a day perfect in your eyes? Is it a feeling? Is it circumstance? Is it the presence or absence of someone or someone?

assignment 18

My Perfect Day

My perfect day would start by me waking early — 7:30 am is early, for me — feeling refreshed and restored. I haven't had a relaxing night of sleep in months and often awaken far later than I had planned, feeling guilty, stiff, and still sleepy.

After a hot shower and a shave I'd put on a comfortable outfit, including nice socks (it's amazing how wearing a pair of nice socks can improve my day), comfortable jeans, a tagless t-shirt (really, the ones without itchy tags in the back of the neck are wonderful), and my Doc Martens.

My morning routine is very workable, with a glass of orange juice followed by breakfast at the table while reading the comics. An omelette with waffles or homemade cinnamon rolls sounds very nice.

After that, I'll go for a walk around the park just around the corner. By this point, it's nearly 9 am and I've prepared to meet the day.

I like to read a couple of news sites early in my work day. Because it's a perfect day, however, I won't go to work. Instead, I'll do a little writing, a little programming, and a little bit of miscellaneous work on whatever project I find interesting or useful that particular day. Two or three hours of solid concentration should help me make good progress.

Around 12:30 pm, I'll start feeling hungry, so I'll break for lunch. It's probably leftover pizza. I don't mind leftovers at all, so why not?

I feel sleepy and slower after lunch and often check for the news again on my favorite sites. Sometimes I respond to e-mail. On a perfect day, I might play video games for a little while. (Right now I can't decide what I would play; nothing has grabbed my attention recently.) Otherwise, I will finish off the final pieces of the project. Hey, it's a perfect day!

Around 3 pm I'll stop to work out. I like to listen to music while lifting weights, so I lock myself in the spare bedroom, turn on the little stereo, and spend half an hour making my muscles bigger, my heart stronger, and my limbs more flexible. Maybe I'll do the workout after breakfast. Who knows?

That leaves the long lazy slide into the afternoon. Sometimes I feel like taking a nap after vigorous exercise, so I'll lie down on my bed, close my eyes, and relax.

Thinking about all of this now, it sounds more like what I always intend to do when I go on vacation. In reality, I sleep until 11 am, try to squeeze everything in on this schedule, and end up feeling frustrated and angry. Scratch all of these ideas.

On a truly perfect day, I would accomplish what I want and need to accomplish. I would feel no external obligations beyond those which I actively sought out for myself for that day. I would spend time with the people I care about and not distract myself while they talk to me — I'd have real conversations with them, when we look each other in the eyes and really think about what the other people are saying.

It doesn't really matter where we are or what we're doing. We could be spending time in a rented house on the beach (my family used to do that), raking leaves for an elderly person (my hometown had a weekend for that every year), or even just sitting around in someone's home.

Physical sensations contribute strongly to my perfect day. I imagine it as summer, though not too hot. I've had plenty of sleep and regular meals (lacking these two hurts many family vacations).

I'm not picky on who's present. It could be my family (parents, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew) or it could be friends. I don't imagine it with a special someone, partly because I don't have that special someone and partly because I've never had a perfect day even when I had a special someone. I'd certainly like to try though.

It's difficult to separate out the idea of sufficient accomplishments, however. The days I've found the most satisfying in recent memory are those days in which I did what I set out to do, not the days in which I relaxed the most. Something deep in my personality appreciates honest work much more than a life of ease. That likely means that my perfect day will have doing something that moves me toward the life I'd like to lead and the person I want to be.

As I planned what to write on this subject, I thought I would describe a set of circumstances and events, much like I once planned out my ideal first date. What I've written so far has surprised me. It's not the circumstances and events that make a day perfect in my eyes, except for minimum levels of physical comfort. It's my attitude toward the day.

On one of the easiest days of my life, I spent the entire day studiously avoiding work, doing this or that little thing and wasting time. I felt tremendous guilt and dissatisfaction at the end of the day. One one of the most difficult days of my life this past year, I painted one room of my house with help from another friend. I felt physically exhausted and sore at the end of the day, yet very satisfied — not just that the project had turned out well but that it permitted me to move to the next step of moving into my house.

If I resolve to face a day with my eyes wide open to see its goodness and possibilities, my heart open to spread that to other people, and my schedule a good mix of responsibility and progress, could any day be perfect? Possibly. Not every day will; there's too much outside of my control.

I now realize, however, that a perfect day is well within my reach. At least, it may be a very good day. That's close enough for now.

Essay Sample on A Day in My Life

I will be sharing what a day in my life looks like. Now your thought must be like, day in a life!? In a blog post?? Well yes!! But before I start writing my day, I want you to comment below, what is the one thing you do daily which makes you keep going (other than brushing obvi). So, let’s start my day!

I wake up around 5 – 5:30am. Some days when I am really tired, I wake up at 6am if I have class and 7am if no class in the morning.  After finishing all my morning routine, I start of my day by doing workout and kriya [you will know more about this is in my next blog] which keeps me refreshed and energetic throughout the day. I then study for a bit and somedays I have tuitions in the morning. That comes to end of my morning routine.

My classes start from 8am and go on till 1pm and somedays till 3pm. During the breaks I like to take small walks or just be away from the screen for as long as possible so that I will be able to concentrate for the upcoming sessions. Here are some tips on how to improve concentration during these times:

  • Workout/Meditate

The first thing you can do in the morning is to workout or meditate which keeps you energized and active throughout the day. You could also do some walking or even listen to music.

  • Be active during breaks

What do I mean by active? What I meant was, instead of staying in front of the screen, go walk around or help with some household work. This keeps you away from the screen for a while so that you are all set to go for the next sessions. And also so that your eyes don’t get strained.

  • Have a proper sleep schedule

Make sure you at least have 6-7 hours of sleep so you can be refreshed for the next day so you can concentrate more.

  • Take notes & participate

It is very important to participate in class so that it is easier for you to ace your tests and also notes help you to refer to it the day before your exam which makes it a lot easier rather than studying everything in last minute

That’s it for the tips! Let’s get back to my day.

Once I am done with school, I like to relax a bit, spend some time with family and listen to music. I take rest for about an hour and have some snacks as well to get me back on track with whatever I have left over.

Sometimes I do music practice. After this I catch up with homework and some other studying which I have to get done. By the time I am done with all this it is about 7pm. After 7pm I prefer not to keep any school work but only attend my last class which is at 8:30pm.

In the duration of an hour and a half, I play with my mom, usually cards and then have my dinner and just chill. I prefer not to use my phone during this time. Once I am done with my last class of the day, I just check if I have done everything for the day with my to do list and responding to school messages. When I am done with all this, I keep my phone away and I spend some “daddy-daughter time” because we both are busy with our works throughout the day and we both have a common free time after 9:30pm.

We spend about 15-20 minutes together talking about what I did the entire day and about his day and what tests or anything about the following day. Now, we have come to the end of the day. I fall asleep by about 10pm or 10:30pm max. And the same routine repeats in all the weekdays! Weekends I don’t have a specific routine! That’s all for this blog! See you guys in the next one!

What is Your Idea of a Perfect Day?

What is Your Idea of a Perfect Day?

Hajra!  Let’s talk about a perfect day!

All of us dream of the perfect life. All of us yearn for a perfect day to say the least. But how many of us have the idea of what the perfect day means for us.

As a kid I thought every day was perfect, but then I didn’t have to work for money then! As I grew up I stopped “fantasizing” as one might say. However, one does think from time to time, what the perfect day for me might be like. Will it just be having loads of money, or peace of mind, or a weekend spent like I would want it to?

Now, there is nothing like perfect. But yes, there is something like ideal. Close to perfect I might say.

So, I got thinking what would an ideal day – what a close-to-perfect day might be like?

Here’s how think my “almost perfect” day would be.

It would definitely begin a little later than normal. Yes, I like sleeping and I hate getting up early, so one that begins later than usual with breakfast in bed! I don’t know who is going to make that breakfast but yes, definitely breakfast in bed with the newspaper in hand and hopefully, with all good news.

Obviously, there will be a good book, a great movie – preferably at home; good food and just the right amount of coffee on that day. And yes, all my laundry done on that day.

Money I hear someone saying – well if it is the perfect day, then I am hoping there is a decent amount in the bank and if there isn’t; then come on, it is a perfect day and I am not worrying! Peace of mind – well yes that is why I got up late and I am not worried about money. Happiness is what I feel is a state of mind and if I am getting up late, having good food and all my likes all around then I feel I am happy.

But I wonder; there might have so many perfect days and perfect moments; but we might have missed it because we were thinking of actually having a planned perfect day.

Yes, my perfect day always has to end with ice cream!

Have you thought about such a day? What constitutes your ideal day? What does your perfect day look like?

The Best Day of My Life Essay: Secret of Happiness

What will you remember when somebody asks you about the best day of your life ? Maybe you will be confused as there are too many days which made you happy and it’s difficult to choose one, maybe you will be confused because of realizing, that in fact nothing happens with you. In any case you will be confused as it only seems to be easy to name the best day of your life , especially when you was told to write an essay, but nothing comes to mind. For those, who don’t want to spend their time in reflections about the past, our online team of professional writers has composed the best day of my life essay.

Best Day of my Life Essay or How Can I Reach the Happiness

I supposed that almost everybody connects the image of perfect day with the weekends, when you can get enough sleep, drink a cup of coffee without persistent rush, which followed the modern citizen’s life, in fact you can devote the day to the occupation you like, exactly this will make your day perfect.

For somebody the ideal day consists of some variants of «lazy holiday» including laying on the beach beyond the palms, watching bronzed boys and girls, playing volleyball, drinking pina colada, reading the book or just thinking about nothing. By the way, if you don’t know what to read on the beach, here are the list of top crime books https://smartwriters.org/blog/top-20-crime-books-of-all-time . But don’t worry, if you choose these variants of spending time, it doesn’t mean you are a coach potato, as sometimes person is so sick and tired of daily routine, communicating with people and work’s deadlines, that she needs to restore her energy reserve, and such type of holiday is completely satisfying. All in all, what can better reduce the stress level than watching sea sunset and listening to the breaking surf?

For others, the ideal day is connected with active ways of spending time, all kinds of hikes, mountain climbing, horse riding, cycling, extreme sports and so on. These activities are practiced by not everyone, but exactly they give an enormous energy boost and adrenaline rush, which person will remember for a long time.

But the question is does all these activities ensure your day to be the best? If to think a little, we will discover that second ways are more efficient, as such kinds of thrilling events left a deep trace in human’s memory.

The third probable way to make one of your days the best, is plunging into the world of art . Visiting concerts, plays, operas, exhibitions, ballets, observing the most popular painting online – the modern world offers to you a lot of possibilities to spend an unforgettable day. Are you keen on music? I’m sure everybody will answer affirmatively. Now just imagine the evening spent on the concert of your favorite singer or band. It sounds like the pure happiness, isn’t it? Even if the legends of the music don’t make the tours in your city, be sure the local musicians are also worth visiting, as the general atmosphere, where hundreds of people are exalted, all as one, signing or even crying song’s lyrics, is super.

On the other hand, there are the cases when people can’t name the best day of their life not by reason of their multiplicity, but because of absence of such days. From time to time for all people, I’m sure, is familiar the situation of «motion’s Illusion».  To explain in simple words, this is the situation of existence, when in fact nothing happens. All routine actions are repeated and form a close circle where everything is static. And sometimes we all start to suffocate under the pressure of every day routine, when even the idea of the best day is ridiculous for us as we strongly believe that nothing interesting will happen to us. All in all, the best helpers here are only ourselves. So if you want to break out the closed circle full of frustration and emptiness and to make every day your best, our high-quality writers have made for you a list of useful tips here:

  • Find the beauty in the ambiance . How often do you pay attention to the surrounding? Sometimes even the small details can bring you to the happiness, your only task is to notice them. Moreover, observe the nature. Yes, it’s banal, but how often after an exhausting day in the office you find the time for wandering in the nearest park, feeding the ducks and being along to think about the day which has gone? On the contrary if you aren’t indifferent about the environment, it will be interesting for you to read an informative essay on global warming here.
  • Live for today . You can argue that it’s important to think about the future, and you have a reason, but it mustn’t be an obsession as it sometimes happens. Always worrying about future depreciates the present, so escaping the thoughts about the vague day of tomorrow is useful much more often than you think.
  • People . Communicating is probably of the main factors which could make our day the best. You don’t share this idea as you have difficulties with the socialization? You are advised to read an essay about agents of socialization , which probably will be a little help for you. For many people the happiest day of their life is connected with some personal events: how couldn’t one consider the day as the best after a dizzy date with person you like, spending a fabulous day with a soul mate, a warm family reunion, a long-awaited wedding or even divorce, a child birth and so on.
  • Travel . If we are interviewing the different kinds of people about their best day of life, the answer of majority of them, despite the diverse characters, job positions, social status and personal preferences, for sure will be connecting with travelling as discovering new culture, places and people or just escaping daily routine is one of the most important component of full and happy life.
  • Meditation. Sometimes only way not to be driven mad is to meditate , the other pros of this kind of activity is self-knowledge, which will help you to understand better your inner impulses and sort out in the inner problems.
  • Hobby time! It’s not a big secret that hobby can fill your life with a lot of pleasant moments, and it is the first step to the happiness.
  • Be engaged. It’s well known fact that the more spare time person has the more he/she reflects about the controversial questions of our life, and all in all reaches the idea that everything just has no sense. So to make the life more interesting and socially significant, it’s important to be engaged. If you don’t know how to start your social activity read our best buy nothing day essay , and maybe you will support this idea.

Lust for Life

To conclude with, probably the essential that makes you happy is lust for life, as you can find yourself in different life situations: one day on the crest of a wave, other down-and-out, don’t be afraid of any life difficulties, especially when the movement of downshifting has appeared (read more https://smartwriters.org/blog/think-wisely-pros-and-cons-of-downshifting ). You shouldn’t forget that the main source of happiness isn’t your possessions or social and financial status, it’s you personally , who can make every day of your life the best!

What Does Your Perfect Day Look Like

What does your perfect day look like?

You may be surprised but very few people know the answer to this question! I certainly didn’t know when I was first asked to describe my perfect day.

We flounder with the idea of what our perfect day looks like because we’ve not taken the time to dream and really think about how we want our life, and our business, to look.

If you don’t have a clear picture of your perfect day how can you create meaningful goals to move closer to that day?

Grab a pen and paper and describe for me what you’re perfect day looks like.

Start from when you wake up, and move through each hour of the day.

Write down in detail your thoughts and descriptions of what your perfect day looks, feels, sounds and smells like.

You can use the following questions to get you started:

  • How would you spend your day?

2. Who are you with?

3. Where are you?

4. Would you be working, playing or both?

If you’re a visual person find pictures that capture how you see this perfect day or create a vision board on Pinterest .

Of course you might have too many things to fit into only one day. Simply write about those aspects that appeal to you the most.

When you are writing about your perfect day be aware of that little voice in your head (you know the one, “yes that all sounds lovely but HOW are you going to do it?”). We aren’t concerned with the “hows” today so ask that voice to be quiet while you’re completing this exercise.

I first did this exercise in 2013 and this is how my perfect day looked . . .

I wake with a smile on my face. Eyes closed, I lay still as the nights dreams fade to be replaced by a slow bubbling excitement. Today’s the day!     I can contain myself no more and my eyes snap open. My energy carries me up and out of my crisp cotton sheets.     Throwing open the French doors I gaze out on a perfect morning. The warm pink glow of the first rays of light is lapping along the beach. Slipping into my running gear, including my green racer back singlet that makes me feel like an athlete, I head down the hallway. Shoes on, I tug my hair back into a ponytail and step outside to greet the day.     I set off towards the far end of the beach, breathing in the salty air. Along the way I meet some of my friends that I’m catching up with later that day. We talk excitedly about where we’ll go and the excitement gives me extra energy to power home.     I dive into the sea to cool off then have a warm shower. Refreshed I sit down to breakfast in my favourite embroidered silk robe, bought on one of my many overseas adventures.     While drinking my juice and nibbling on fresh fruit I work on the design of the next chapter of my second book.     The hours fly by. Before I know it the next chapter is nearly written and it’s time to meet up with friends for a kayak out to an offshore island. We’ve all bought along our favourite food to have a shared lunch once we get to the island.     Exhilarated, and wetter than we needed to be, we pull our kayaks onto the shore and set up our picnic in the shade. The food was fantastic and the conversation even better!     We are in the middle of planning our annual adventure. Where would we go this year? A tropical paradise like Samoa? A running adventure in Madagascar? We discussed them all and laughed so much we could barely eat.
I arrive home an hour before the sun set. This is my favourite time of the day to practice yoga. As I breathe in the fragrance of the jasmine I feel aglow with gratitude at the many wonders that my life holds.     Relaxed and calm I get ready for tonight’s celebration. It’s the birthday of one of my best friend’s daughters and we are all gathering for an al fresco dinner. I arrive as the thousands of sparkling lights are turned on and the garden is turned into a magical place.     I move among my friends sharing stories and laughter. I give the birthday girl an enormous hug and she takes me for a tour of the garden and tells me stories of where the fairies live.     Much later that night, as I slip between the cool sheets, I think to myself that it has been a most perfect day.

So, what does your perfect day look like?

What are some of the themes that came up for you? Mine would be the sea, fitness, friends, writing. There are definitely some missing elements, photography and animals being two of them, which is why I like to do this exercise each year to see how my perfect day has changed.

No day is perfect as something always seems to go wrong. Little or big, there is always a flaw. That is what I have believed and probably always will. A nice summer days is always a good start of the day for me. My perfect day would start by me waking up at 10 am feeling refreshed and restored, not worrying about work. I want to be in Mauritius and as I get out of my bed, I would walk to the balcony so that I can see the ocean from my room and feel the zephyr of the ocean. Then i would have a traditional english breakfast.

After my breakfast I would take a hot shower and get ready. I would be wearing my Gabriele Pasini Coat, Louis Vuitton Belt, Burberry Scarf, and Rolex along with my Rayban Shades. I would go out for shopping with my best friends Alec Doan and Carson walker driving in my matte black Lamborghini Aventador. I call my friends Alec and Carson and ask them to meet me in the Gucci store. We decide to shop and obviously I pay for them, after all they are my best friends. We have lunch and In my lunch I would have Nutella and Banana stuffed Cap’n Crunch Crusted French Toast.

We hangout, drive around for a while and then go back to my house and then go to beach or just hangout with them for a couple hours in my house and then we take my private jet to go to the Tomorrowland concert in Miami where all the best Electro Dance DJs in the world are going to perform. Tomorrowland is the biggest Electro Dance Music festival of the year, the people, the entire setup, people dancing, the DJ’s playing their best music track. I get to meet Calvin Harris and he gives me his signed album. Then I would take my private jet and go skydiving with my friends or bungee jumping.

Later in the evening we all pick our woman and I decide to throw a party in my private yacht. Some famous models would be attending the party, among them Irina Shayk (my favorite), Kate Upton and also Rosie Huntington are my good friends. My best friend Carson tries to flirt with Irina Shayk but she turns him down. All my friends would be attending the yacht party and Martin Garrix would be the DJ. In the middle of Mauritius Ocean having a yacht party with my friends would be memorable thing to do. There would be famous models, booze, girls and music playing. Then we take my jet and travel to Spain to watch the El Classico.

Tonight is the Spanish El Classico night and The spanish giants my favorite club Real Madrid would be facing their rivals Barcelona. We all watch the game and Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a hattrick. After the game I get to meet Cristiano Ronaldo and he gives me his signed jersey. I would spend the rest of the night hanging out with my best friends. We would go the biggest local casino in Spain and stay in casino gambling till 5 in the morning. Then I fly back to my house and go to bed listening to my favorite song “Party All Night” thinking this was the most perfect day I could ever spend.

Essays About Life: Top 5 Examples Plus 7 Prompts

Life envelops various meanings; if you are writing essays about life, discover our comprehensive guide with examples and prompts to help you with your essay.

What is life? You can ask anyone; I assure you, no two people will have the same answer. How we define life relies on our beliefs and priorities. One can say that life is the capacity for growth or the time between birth and death. Others can share that life is the constant pursuit of purpose and fulfillment. Life is a broad topic that inspires scholars, poets, and many others. It stimulates discussions that encourage diverse perspectives and interpretations.

5 Essay Examples

1. essay on life by anonymous on toppr.com, 2. the theme of life, existence and consciousness by anonymous on gradesfixer.com, 3. compassion can save life by anonymous on papersowl.com, 4. a life of consumption vs. a life of self-realization by anonymous on ivypanda.com, 5. you only live once: a motto for life by anonymous on gradesfixer.com, 1. what is the true meaning of life, 2. my life purpose, 3. what makes life special, 4. how to appreciate life, 5. books about life, 6. how to live a healthy life, 7. my idea of a perfect life.

“…quality of Life carries huge importance. Above all, the ultimate purpose should be to live a meaningful life. A meaningful life is one which allows us to connect with our deeper self.”

The author defines life as something that differentiates man from inorganic matter. It’s an aspect that processes and examines a person’s actions that develop through growth. For some, life is a pain because of failures and struggles, but it’s temporary. For the writer, life’s challenges help us move forward, be strong, and live to the fullest. You can also check out these essays about utopia .

“… Kafka defines the dangers of depending on art for life. The hunger artist expresses his dissatisfaction with the world by using himself and not an external canvas to create his artwork, forcing a lack of separation between the artist and his art. Therefore, instead of the art depending on the audience, the artist depends on the audience, meaning when the audience’s appreciation for work dwindles, their appreciation for the artist diminishes as well, leading to the hunger artist’s death.”

The essay talks about “ A Hunger Artist ” by Franz Kafka, who describes his views on life through art. The author analyzes Kafka’s fictional main character and his anxieties and frustrations about life and the world. This perception shows how much he suffered as an artist and how unhappy he was. Through the essay, the writer effectively explains Kafka’s conclusion that artists’ survival should not depend on their art.

“Compassion is that feeling that we’ve all experienced at some point in our lives. When we know that there is someone that really cares for us. Compassion comes from that moment when we can see the world through another person’s eyes.”

The author is a nurse who believes that to be professional, they need to be compassionate and treat their patients with respect, empathy, and dignity. One can show compassion through small actions such as talking and listening to patients’ grievances. In conclusion, compassion can save a person’s life by accepting everyone regardless of race, gender, etc.

“… A life of self-realization is more preferable and beneficial in comparison with a life on consumption. At the same time, this statement may be objected as person’s consumption leads to his or her happiness.”

The author examines Jon Elster’s theory to find out what makes a person happy and what people should think and feel about their material belongings. The essay mentions a list of common activities that make us feel happy and satisfied, such as buying new things. The writer explains that Elster’s statement about the prevalence of self-realization in consumption will always trigger intense debate.

“Appreciate the moment you’ve been given and appreciate the people you’ve been given to spend it with, because no matter how beautiful or tragic a moment is, it always ends. So hold on a little tighter, smile a little bigger, cry a little harder, laugh a little louder, forgive a little quicker, and love a whole lot deeper because these are the moments you will remember when you’re old and wishing you could rewind time.”

This essay explains that some things and events only happen once in a person’s life. The author encourages teenagers to enjoy the little things in their life and do what they love as much as they can. When they turn into adults, they will no longer have the luxury to do whatever they want.

The author suggests doing something meaningful as a stress reliever, trusting people, refusing to give up on the things that make you happy, and dying with beautiful memories. For help with your essays, check out our round-up of the best essay checkers .

7 Prompts for Essays About Life

Essays About Life: What is the true meaning of life?

Life encompasses many values and depends on one’s perception. For most, life is about reaching achievements to make themselves feel alive. Use this prompt to compile different meanings of life and provide a background on why a person defines life as they do.

Take Joseph Campbell’s, “Life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning, and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer,” for example. This quote pertains to his belief that an individual is responsible for giving life meaning.

For this prompt, share with your readers your current purpose in life. It can be as simple as helping your siblings graduate or something grand, such as changing a national law to make a better world. You can ask others about their life purpose to include in your essay and give your opinion on why your answers are different or similar.

Life is a fascinating subject, as each person has a unique concept. How someone lives depends on many factors, such as opportunities, upbringing, and philosophies. All of these elements affect what we consider “special.”

Share what you think makes life special. For instance, talk about your relationships, such as your close-knit family or best friends. Write about the times when you thought life was worth living. You might also be interested in these essays about yourself .

Life in itself is a gift. However, most of us follow a routine of “wake up, work (or study), sleep, repeat.” Our constant need to survive makes us take things for granted. When we endlessly repeat a routine, life becomes mundane. For this prompt, offer tips on how to avoid a monotonous life, such as keeping a gratitude journal or traveling.

Many literary pieces use life as their subject. If you have a favorite book about life, recommend it to your readers by summarizing the content and sharing how the book influenced your outlook on life. You can suggest more than one book and explain why everyone should read them.

For example, Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist” reminds its readers to live in the moment and never fear failure.

Essay on Perfect Life

Students are often asked to write an essay on Perfect Life in their schools and colleges. And if you’re also looking for the same, we have created 100-word, 250-word, and 500-word essays on the topic.

Let’s take a look…

100 Words Essay on Perfect Life

What is a perfect life.

A perfect life is a dream where everything is just right. People often think it means having lots of money, a big house, and no problems. But true perfection might be different for each person. It’s about being happy with what you have and who you are.

Being Happy with Yourself

To live a perfect life, you must love yourself. This means accepting your looks, your strengths, and even your mistakes. When you’re kind to yourself, life feels better.

Good Relationships

Having friends and family who care about you is important. Sharing love and support makes life feel perfect. It’s not about how many friends you have, but how true they are.

Doing What You Love

A perfect life includes doing things you enjoy. Whether it’s playing sports, reading books, or painting, doing what you love can make life great.

Health is Wealth

Being healthy helps you enjoy life. Eating good food, playing, and sleeping enough are key. When you feel good, life seems perfect.

A perfect life is different for everyone. It’s about happiness, self-love, true friends, passion, and health. Remember, perfection is in the joy of living, not in things.

250 Words Essay on Perfect Life

Many people dream of a perfect life. This idea often includes having a happy family, a good job, and lots of fun. But what really makes life perfect is different for everyone.

Happiness at Home

A perfect life might mean living with a loving family. It’s about caring for each other and sharing good times and bad times together. When family members support one another, life at home feels safe and happy.

Enjoying Work

A great job is another part of a perfect life. This doesn’t mean you have to earn lots of money. It’s more about doing something you love and feeling proud of your work. When you enjoy what you do, it doesn’t feel like a chore.

Fun and Friends

Having fun is important, too. This could be playing games, reading books, or going on adventures. Also, friends make life special. They laugh with you, help you when you’re sad, and make ordinary days exciting.

Health and Learning

Being healthy lets you enjoy life more. Eating good food, playing sports, and sleeping well are all part of this. Learning new things at school or in life keeps your mind sharp and makes every day interesting.

A perfect life is full of love, joy, and excitement. It’s not about having everything but enjoying what you have. It’s about family, work you care about, fun times, good friends, health, and learning. Remember, everyone’s perfect life looks a little different, and that’s okay.

500 Words Essay on Perfect Life

Many people dream of a perfect life, but what does it really mean? A perfect life can be seen as a life filled with happiness, health, and fulfillment. It’s a life where you have everything you need and want, and where you feel complete. But it’s important to remember that what’s perfect for one person might not be for another.

Happiness in a Perfect Life

Happiness is often seen as a key part of a perfect life. This doesn’t mean you are always smiling or laughing. Instead, it means you feel content and satisfied with your life. You enjoy the little moments, like playing with a pet, spending time with family, or reading a good book. In a perfect life, you find joy in everyday things.

Health and Well-Being

Being healthy is another important part of a perfect life. When you are healthy, you have the energy to do things you enjoy. You can play sports, travel, and learn new things without feeling tired or sick. Eating good food, exercising, and getting enough sleep are all part of staying healthy.

Learning and Growing

A perfect life includes learning new things and growing as a person. This could mean doing well in school, learning to play a musical instrument, or picking up a new hobby. It’s about challenging yourself and feeling proud of what you achieve. When you learn and grow, you become more interesting and interested in the world around you.

Friends and Family

No one can have a perfect life all alone. Friends and family are very important. They support you, love you, and have fun with you. In a perfect life, you have good relationships with the people around you. You help each other and make each other’s lives better.

Helping Others

A perfect life isn’t just about what you have; it’s also about what you give. Helping others can make you feel good and make your life feel more meaningful. This could be as simple as helping a friend with homework or volunteering in your community. When you help others, you make the world a better place.

Challenges and Overcoming Them

Even in a perfect life, there will be challenges. What makes life perfect is not the absence of problems, but the ability to deal with them. Learning how to overcome obstacles makes you stronger and more confident. It’s not about having an easy life, but about having the strength to face tough times.

A perfect life is different for everyone. It’s not about having everything but finding joy in what you have. It’s about being healthy, learning, growing, and having good relationships. It’s also about helping others and being able to handle challenges. A perfect life is a balanced life, where you are happy with who you are and what you do. Remember, it’s not about perfection but about striving to make each day as good as it can be.

That’s it! I hope the essay helped you.

Tips for Writing an Effective Application Essay

How to Write an Effective Essay

Writing an essay for college admission gives you a chance to use your authentic voice and show your personality. It's an excellent opportunity to personalize your application beyond your academic credentials, and a well-written essay can have a positive influence come decision time.

Want to know how to draft an essay for your college application ? Here are some tips to keep in mind when writing.

Tips for Essay Writing

A typical college application essay, also known as a personal statement, is 400-600 words. Although that may seem short, writing about yourself can be challenging. It's not something you want to rush or put off at the last moment. Think of it as a critical piece of the application process. Follow these tips to write an impactful essay that can work in your favor.

1. Start Early.

Few people write well under pressure. Try to complete your first draft a few weeks before you have to turn it in. Many advisers recommend starting as early as the summer before your senior year in high school. That way, you have ample time to think about the prompt and craft the best personal statement possible.

You don't have to work on your essay every day, but you'll want to give yourself time to revise and edit. You may discover that you want to change your topic or think of a better way to frame it. Either way, the sooner you start, the better.

2. Understand the Prompt and Instructions.

Before you begin the writing process, take time to understand what the college wants from you. The worst thing you can do is skim through the instructions and submit a piece that doesn't even fit the bare minimum requirements or address the essay topic. Look at the prompt, consider the required word count, and note any unique details each school wants.

3. Create a Strong Opener.

Students seeking help for their application essays often have trouble getting things started. It's a challenging writing process. Finding the right words to start can be the hardest part.

Spending more time working on your opener is always a good idea. The opening sentence sets the stage for the rest of your piece. The introductory paragraph is what piques the interest of the reader, and it can immediately set your essay apart from the others.

4. Stay on Topic.

One of the most important things to remember is to keep to the essay topic. If you're applying to 10 or more colleges, it's easy to veer off course with so many application essays.

A common mistake many students make is trying to fit previously written essays into the mold of another college's requirements. This seems like a time-saving way to avoid writing new pieces entirely, but it often backfires. The result is usually a final piece that's generic, unfocused, or confusing. Always write a new essay for every application, no matter how long it takes.

5. Think About Your Response.

Don't try to guess what the admissions officials want to read. Your essay will be easier to write─and more exciting to read─if you’re genuinely enthusiastic about your subject. Here’s an example: If all your friends are writing application essays about covid-19, it may be a good idea to avoid that topic, unless during the pandemic you had a vivid, life-changing experience you're burning to share. Whatever topic you choose, avoid canned responses. Be creative.

6. Focus on You.

Essay prompts typically give you plenty of latitude, but panel members expect you to focus on a subject that is personal (although not overly intimate) and particular to you. Admissions counselors say the best essays help them learn something about the candidate that they would never know from reading the rest of the application.

7. Stay True to Your Voice.

Use your usual vocabulary. Avoid fancy language you wouldn't use in real life. Imagine yourself reading this essay aloud to a classroom full of people who have never met you. Keep a confident tone. Be wary of words and phrases that undercut that tone.

8. Be Specific and Factual.

Capitalize on real-life experiences. Your essay may give you the time and space to explain why a particular achievement meant so much to you. But resist the urge to exaggerate and embellish. Admissions counselors read thousands of essays each year. They can easily spot a fake.

9. Edit and Proofread.

When you finish the final draft, run it through the spell checker on your computer. Then don’t read your essay for a few days. You'll be more apt to spot typos and awkward grammar when you reread it. After that, ask a teacher, parent, or college student (preferably an English or communications major) to give it a quick read. While you're at it, double-check your word count.

Writing essays for college admission can be daunting, but it doesn't have to be. A well-crafted essay could be the deciding factor─in your favor. Keep these tips in mind, and you'll have no problem creating memorable pieces for every application.

What is the format of a college application essay?

Generally, essays for college admission follow a simple format that includes an opening paragraph, a lengthier body section, and a closing paragraph. You don't need to include a title, which will only take up extra space. Keep in mind that the exact format can vary from one college application to the next. Read the instructions and prompt for more guidance.

Most online applications will include a text box for your essay. If you're attaching it as a document, however, be sure to use a standard, 12-point font and use 1.5-spaced or double-spaced lines, unless the application specifies different font and spacing.

How do you start an essay?

The goal here is to use an attention grabber. Think of it as a way to reel the reader in and interest an admissions officer in what you have to say. There's no trick on how to start a college application essay. The best way you can approach this task is to flex your creative muscles and think outside the box.

You can start with openers such as relevant quotes, exciting anecdotes, or questions. Either way, the first sentence should be unique and intrigue the reader.

What should an essay include?

Every application essay you write should include details about yourself and past experiences. It's another opportunity to make yourself look like a fantastic applicant. Leverage your experiences. Tell a riveting story that fulfills the prompt.

What shouldn’t be included in an essay?

When writing a college application essay, it's usually best to avoid overly personal details and controversial topics. Although these topics might make for an intriguing essay, they can be tricky to express well. If you’re unsure if a topic is appropriate for your essay, check with your school counselor. An essay for college admission shouldn't include a list of achievements or academic accolades either. Your essay isn’t meant to be a rehashing of information the admissions panel can find elsewhere in your application.

How can you make your essay personal and interesting?

The best way to make your essay interesting is to write about something genuinely important to you. That could be an experience that changed your life or a valuable lesson that had an enormous impact on you. Whatever the case, speak from the heart, and be honest.

Is it OK to discuss mental health in an essay?

Mental health struggles can create challenges you must overcome during your education and could be an opportunity for you to show how you’ve handled challenges and overcome obstacles. If you’re considering writing your essay for college admission on this topic, consider talking to your school counselor or with an English teacher on how to frame the essay.
