Mistake Movie Review:చిన్న సినిమా పెద్ద సినిమా అని కాకుండా ఇప్పుడు నచ్చితే ఎలాంటి సినిమాలు ఆదరించడానికి అయినా ప్రేక్షకులు సిద్ధంగా ఉంటున్నారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలోనే అనేకమంది నటులు దర్శకులుగా మారి తాము చెప్పాలనుకున్న కథలు చెప్పేస్తున్నారు. ఇక ఈ క్రమంలో ప్రముఖ కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ భరత్ కొమ్మలపాటి దర్శకత్వంలో మిస్టేక్ అనే సినిమా వచ్చింది. అభినవ్ సర్దార్ నటిస్తూ నిర్మించిన ఈ సినిమా శుక్రవారం నాడు ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చేసింది. ఇక ఈ సినిమా ఎలా ఉంది? ప్రేక్షకులను ఎంతవరకు ఆకట్టుకుంది అనేది సినిమా రివ్యూలో తెలుసుకుందాం.

కథ: హెయిర్‌ స్టైలీస్ట్ ఆగస్త్య (బిగ్ బాస్ అజయ్ కతుర్వార్), పూజారి దేవదాస్ అలియాస్ దేవ్ (సుజిత్ కుమార్), కార్తీక్‌ (తేజ ఐనంపూడి) ముగ్గురూ ఒకే గదిలో ఉండడంతో వీరందరి మధ్య మంచి స్నేహం ఏర్పడింది. అయితే ఈ ముగ్గురూ ముగ్గురు అమ్మాయిలతో ప్రేమలో ఉంటారు. ఆగస్త్య.. డీసీపీ కూతురు మిత్ర (ప్రియ)తో, దేవ్‌ ఏమో పార్వతి అలియాస్‌ పారు(నయన్ సారిక)తో ముంబైలో సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్‌ ఎంప్లాయ్ అయిన స్వీటీ (తానియ కల్ల్రా)తో కార్తీక్‌ ప్రేమలో ఉంటారు. ఈ ప్రేమికులు అందరూ హ్యాపీగా సమయం గడిపేస్తున్న క్రమంలో ఒక్కొక్కరికి ఒక్కో రకమైన ఇబ్బంది ఏర్పడడంతో ఒక వారం పాటు సిటీకి దూరంగా తమ ప్రియురాళ్లను తీసుకుని జంగిల్ కి వెళ్లారు. అయితే అంతా కలిసి ఫారెస్ట్‌కి వెళ్తుంటే మార్గ మధ్యలో అనుకోని సమస్య ఏర్పడుతుంది ఆ సమస్య నుంచి ఈ మూడు జంటలు తప్పించుకుని అడవిలోకి వెళ్ళారా? వెళ్ళాక అక్కడ వారికి ఎదురైన సమస్యలేంటి? అసలు అభినవ్ సర్దార్ ఎవరు? ఆ వ్యక్తికి ఈ మూడు జంటలకు సంబంధం ఏంటి? అనేదే ఈ సినిమా కథ.

విశ్లేషణ: సాధారణంగా ఈ మధ్యకాలంలో థ్రిల్లర్ తరహా సినిమాలు ఎక్కువయ్యాయి. ఓటీటీ కంటెంట్ కి బాగా జనం అలవాటు పడిపోవడంతో వారిని మెప్పించాలంటే ఏదో ఒక కొత్త పాయింట్ తో ఆకట్టుకోక తప్పదు. ఇక ఈ మిస్టేక్ సినిమా కూడా ప్రారంభమైనప్పుడు రొటీన్ సినిమాలాగే అనిపిస్తుంది కానీ ప్రీ ఇంటర్వెల్ ట్విస్ట్ మాత్రం సినిమా మీద ఒక్కసారిగా ఇంట్రెస్ట్ కలిగేలా చేస్తుంది. ఫస్ట్ ఆఫ్ లో రొటీన్ సినిమానే కదా అనుకున్న వారందరూ సెకండ్ హాఫ్ విషయంలో మాత్రం చాలా ఎక్సైట్ అవుతారు. సినిమా పేరుకు జస్టిఫై చేస్తూ చిన్న మిస్టేక్‌ వల్ల ఎలాంటి పరిణామాలు చోటు చేసుకుంటాయి? అలాంటి మిస్టేక్ చేస్తే కొన్నిసార్లు ప్రాణాల మీదకు వస్తే కొన్నిసార్లు మాత్రం అదృష్టం తెచ్చి పెడుతుంది అన్న కోణంలో ఒక చిన్న లైన్ ము ఆధారంగా చేసుకుని ఈ సినిమా తెరకెక్కింది. కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ గా అనేక సినిమాలు చేసిన భరత్ కి దర్శకుడిగా ఇది మొదటి సినిమానే అయినా ఆద్యంతం ఇంట్రెస్టింగా సినిమా కథని నడిపించడంలో ఆయన కొంతవరకు సక్సెస్ అయ్యాడు. సినిమా ఫస్ట్ ఆఫ్ నుంచి సస్పెన్స్ క్రియేట్ చేసి చివర్లో ట్విస్టులు రివీల్‌ చేసిన తీరు ప్రేక్షకులను ఆకట్టుకుంది. సస్పెన్స్ క్రియేట్ చేయడం మీద ఎక్కువగా కేర్ తీసుకుని దర్శకుడు ట్విస్టులను రివిల్ చేసే విషయంలో కూడా అంతే బలంగా రాసుకుంటే సినిమా వేరే లెవెల్ లో ఉండేది.. సినిమా ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్ మూడు జంటల ప్రేమ కథలు, వారి సమస్యలను చూపించగా సెకండాఫ్ లో సమస్యల నుంచి బయటపడేందుకు వారు ఏం చేశారు అనే విషయాన్ని చూపించారు. బోల్డ్ డైలాగులు యూత్ కి కనెక్ట్ చేసేలా ఉన్నాయి. అయితే ఒకానొక దశలో సినిమా సాగదీస్తున్న ఫీలింగ్ కలుగుతుంది. సినిమాలో తర్వాత ఏం జరగబోతుందో అనే విషయం ఈజీగా అర్థమయిపోతూ ఉండటం కొంతమైనస్. ఈ సినిమాలో కామెడీ కొంతవరకు పర్వాలేదనిపించింది కానీ తర్వాత రొటీన్ అయిపోయింది అనిపిస్తుంది ఈ క్రమంలో ఈ కామెడీ మీద మరింత దృష్టి పెట్టి ఉంటే బాగుండేది. తీసుకున్న పాయింట్ బాగానే ఉంది కానీ దాన్ని ఎగ్జిక్యూట్ చేసే విషయంలో మరింత శ్రద్ధ తీసుకుని ఉంటే సినిమా ఫలితం మరింత బాగుండేది.

ఎవరు ఎలా చేశారు అంటే ముందుగా నటీనటుల విషయానికి వస్తే మూడు ప్రేమ జంటలు అగస్త్య(అజయ్‌ కథుర్వర్‌)- మిత్ర(ప్రియా),దేవ్‌(సుజిత్‌ కుమార్‌)-పార్వతి(నయన్‌ సారికా), కార్తిక్‌(తేజ ఐనంపూడి)-స్వీటి(తనియా కార్లా) తమ పాత్రల పరిధి మేరకు ఆకట్టుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. దేవ్ పాత్ర నవ్వించేలా , అగస్త్య పాత్ర స్టయిలీష్‌గా ఉండగా కార్తిక్ పాత్రధారి తేజ అమాయకుడిగా ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు. హీరోయిన్లు గ్లామర్‌ విషయంలో ఎక్కడా వెనక్కి తగ్గలేదు. నిర్మాతగా సినిమా నిర్మించి కిల్లర్‌ పాత్రలో కనిపించిన అభినవ్‌ సర్దార్‌ పాత్ర సినిమా మొత్తం మీద హైలైట్. ఆయన సీన్లు భయపెడతాయి. కొరియోగ్రాఫర్‌ భరత్‌ కొమ్మాలపాటి దర్శకుడిగా చేసిన తొలి ప్రయత్నంలోనే చాలా వరకు సక్సెస్‌ అయ్యారు. తీసుకున్న పాయింట్ బాగుంది కానీ కథ, కథనాలను మరింత బలంగా రాసుకొని ఉంటే బాగుండేది. సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్‌ హరి జాస్తి కెమెరా పనితనం చాలా ఫ్రేమ్స్ లో కనిపించింది. సంగీతం ఓకే , పాటలు పెద్దగా వర్కౌట్ అవలేదు కానీ బీజీఎం సినిమాకు హైలెట్ అవుతుంది. నటుడే నిర్మాత అయితే ఇక నిర్మాణ విలువలు గురించి చెప్పాల్సిందేముంది.

Abhinav Sardar who made an impression with Ram Asur is getting ready to entertain movie lovers with his upcoming film Mistake. The film directed by Bharrath Komalapati is releasing on 4 Aug 2023. The film's teaser and trailer is loaded with youthful content and let us see whether movie lovers fall in love with the makers ' Mistake. The film's OTT rights are yet to be finalised.

Mistake Telugu Movie: Story Review

Mistake story is all about three easygoing friends who share a flat in Jubilee Hills who make a mistake and the consequence they face. Agasthya, Karthik, and Dev ordered some items online. However, their easy-go-lucky life and happy moments take a drastic turn and they find themselves in the hands of a dreaded person. (Abhinav Sardhar, Teja Ainampudi, Ajay Kathurvar, and Sujith Kumar played these roles)

how these incidents are related to Mitra, Sweety, and Paru(Karishma Kumar, Taniya Kalrra, Priya Paul) form the rest of the story.

Mistake Movie: Artists Review

Abhinav Sardhar, Teja Ainampudi, Ajay Kathurvar, and Sujith Kumar are ok in the roles of the youngsters who live a jolly life. Karishma Kumar, Taniya Kalrra, and Priya Paul did not get much chance to show their acting talent and they added a glamor touch to the story and narration. Sameer, Raja Ravindra, and others are adequate in their roles.

Mistake Movie: Technicians Review

Mistake story readied by Bharrath Komalapati comes under thriller genre. He tried to generate fun and interest in the quest for diamonds with thrilling elements. While the story turned out to be a regular one, screenplay somewhat engaged with twists and turns. Being a first timer, Bharrath did a decent job as a director. Dialogues of Sriharsha Manda are okay.

Mani Zenna's music is average and background score is impressive. The cinematography of Hari Jasthi is good and he tried his best to beautify the film. Vijay Mukthavarapu couldn't be faulted with his editing. Production values are good.

Altogether, Mistake in an attempt to deliver a thriller does a decent job in it. Abhinav Sarkar is a good actor and a performer and it was proven in his previous films. He impresses with his villainy in this film. He generates scares with his act. The thrilling elements are well executed by revealing the twists could have been better. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 Rating for Mistake .

ఈ ముగ్గురికి నగరంలో వేరు వేరు కారణాల వల్ల ప్రాణహానీ ఉందని భావిస్తారు. దీంతో ఒక వారం పాటు సిటీకి దూరంగా వెళ్లాలనుకుంటారు. తమ లవర్స్‌తో కలిసి ఫారెస్ట్‌ ట్రిప్‌ వేస్తారు. ఇందుకుగాను కార్తీక్‌ ఆన్‌లైన్‌లో షాపింగ్‌ చేసి అందరికి డ్రెస్సులు తీసుకుంటాడు. అంతా కలిసి జీపులో ఫారెస్ట్‌కి వెళ్తుంటే మార్గ మధ్యలో ఓ రౌడీ(అభినవ్‌  సర్దార్‌) వీరిపై అటాక్‌ చేస్తాడు. అతని నుంచి తప్పించుకున్న ఈ మూడు జంటలు అడవిలోకి వెళ్లిపోతారు. అడవిలో వీరికి ఎదురైన సమస్యలేంటి? అసలు ఆ రౌడీ వీరికి ఎందుకు అటాక్‌ చేశాడు? అతన్ని ఎవరు పంపించారు? ఈ మూడు జంటలు చేసిన మిస్టేక్‌ ఏంటి? చివరకు ఏం జరిగింది? అనేది తెలియాలంటే మిస్టేక్‌ మూవీ చూడాల్సిందే.  ఎలా ఉందంటే..  ఓ చిన్న పొరపాటు వల్ల మూడు జంటలు పడిన బాధలేంటి? చివరకు వారు చేసిన మిస్టేక్‌ ఎలాంటి ప్రయోజనాన్ని చేకూర్చింది అనేదే ఈ సినిమా కథ. దర్శకుడు భరత్‌ కొమ్మాలపాటి  ఓ చిన్న పాయింట్‌ని కథగా మలిచి, రెండు గంటల పాటు ఆద్యంతం ఉత్కంఠభరితంగా నడిపించడం హైలైట్‌ పాయింట్‌. సినిమా కామెడీగా సాగుతూనే మధ్య మధ్యలో వచ్చే ట్విస్టులు ఉత్కంఠకు గురి చేస్తాయి. అయితే సస్పెన్స్‌ అంశాలు, ట్విస్టులలో కొత్తదనం ఉండదు. గతంలో చాలా సినిమాల్లో చూసిన ట్వీస్టులు ఇందులో చూపించారు. సస్పెన్స్‌ అంశాలను మరింత బలంగా రాసుకోవాల్సింది. 

సినిమా మొత్తం మూడు జంటలు, ఓ విలన్‌ పాత్రల చుట్టే తిరుగుతుంది. ఎక్కువ భాగం అడవిలోనే సాగుతుంది. ఫస్టాఫ్‌లో మూడు జంటల ప్రేమ కథ, వారికి వచ్చిన సమస్యలు, దాని నుంచి తప్పించుకునేందుకు వారు వేసిన ప్లాన్‌.. ఈ క్రమంలో వారు చేసే పనులు అన్ని సరదాగా సాగుతూ వినోదాన్ని పంచుతాయి. అదే సమయంలో కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలు ఉత్కంఠభరితంగాను సాగుతాయి.

మూడు జంటలకు అడవిలో మరుగుజ్జు జాతి ప్రజలతో కలిసి చేసే కామెడీ నవ్వులు పూయిస్తుంది. అక్కడక్కడ వచ్చే కొన్ని బోల్డ్‌ సన్నివేశాలు, డైలాగులు ఫ్యామిలీ ఆడియన్స్‌కి ఇబ్బందిగా అనిపిస్తాయి.  ఇంటర్వెల్‌ ట్విస్ట్‌ సెకండాఫ్‌పై ఆసక్తిని పెంచుతుంది. అయితే ద్వితియార్థంలో మాత్రం థ్రిల్లింగ్‌గా సాగినప్పటికీ కాస్త బోర్‌ కొడుతుంది. ఇంటర్వెల్‌ ముందే ట్విస్ట్‌ని రివీల్‌ చేయడం.. తర్వాత ఏం జరుగుతుందనేది ఈజీగా అర్థమైపోతుంటుంది. క్లైమాక్స్‌ ట్విస్ట్‌ మాత్రం అదిరిపోతుంది. కథను మరింత బలంగా రాసుకొని, సెకండాఫ్‌ని ఆసక్తికరంగా నడిపించి ఉంటే సినిమా ఫలితం మరోలా ఉండేది. 

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే..  అభినవ్ సర్దార్ నెగిటివ్ రోల్ లో మెప్పించాడు. భయంకరమైన లుక్స్‌లో కనిపిస్తూ యాక్షన్స్‌ సీన్స్‌ అదరగొట్టేశాడు. ఇక మూడు ప్రేమ జంటలు అగస్త్య(అజయ్‌)- మిత్ర(ప్రియా),దేవ్‌(సుజిత్‌ కుమార్‌)-పార్వతి(నయన్‌ సారికా), కార్తిక్‌(తేజ ఐనంపూడి)-స్వీటి(తనియా కార్లా) తమ పాత్రల పరిధి మేరకు ఆకట్టుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. పూజారి దేవ్‌ పాత్ర నవ్వులు పూయిస్తుంది. ఇక ముగ్గురు హీరోయిన్లు నటన పరంగానే కాదు గ్లామర్‌తోను మెప్పించారు. రాజా రవీంద్ర, సమీర్‌ తదితరులు తమ పాత్రల పరిధిమేర నటించారు. ఇక సాంకేతిక విషయాలకొస్తే.. సంగీతం పర్వాలేదు. మంగ్లీ పాడిన పాట మినహా మిగతావేవి అంతగా ఆకట్టుకోలేవు. సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్‌ హరి జాస్తి పనితీరు బాగుంది. ఎడిటర్‌  విజయ్‌ ముక్తావరపు తన కత్తెరకు ఇంకాస్త పని చెప్పాల్సింది. నిర్మాణ విలువలు బాగున్నాయి.

Mistake Movie Review: Don't mistake it for a script

' Mistake ', produced by Abhinav Sardhar , is hitting the screens this Friday. The film is written and directed by Bharrath Komalapati . Let's find out what works and what doesn't.

Three sets of young couples in their early twenties long for an adventurous vacation to break free from their mundane existence. They set out on a trip on an open jeep, only to be confronted by a mysterious brute (Abhinav Sardhar) who is out to attack them. In their attempt to escape from him, the six lead characters face an existential threat. Eventually, when they come to know that the deadly individual is after them in search of precious diamonds, all hell breaks loose.

Performances:

The director's attempt to entertain the audience through naive/idiosyncratic/over-romantic characters falls flat. Ajay Kathurvar, Sujith Kumar, Teja Ainampudi, Karishma Kumar, Taniya Kalrra, and Priya Paul play three couples who behave as though they have been programmed to think alike. None of them has better ideas when they are faced with a threat to their lives. Despite outnumbering the antagonist, the protagonists fail to consider the possibility of ambushing him or devising strategies for a surprise attack.

The simplistic storyline and shallow, stereotypical characters are evident in the actors' performances. Among the male leads, a temple priest sports a fashionable beard, and his manner of speech lacks consistency. Similarly, a stylist character stands out as not fitting the role convincingly.

Raja Ravindra plays a cop whose entry in the climax leads to no closure. 'Jabardasth' Naresh is barely funny. Sameer plays a lecherous baddie whose demeanour belongs to a bygone era.

Technical Departments:

Music director Mani Zenna composes a decent song (the one in the hermitage inhabited by dwarfs). Cinematographer Hari Jasthi fails to tap into the genre. The action-adventure in the backdrop of a forest deserved better camera angles. Editor Vijay Mukthavarapu's job was made difficult by the haphazard writing on display. The fights by Pruthvi Shekar never look like fights - they are unintelligent.

The premise of three men and their three girlfriends going on a vacation and ending up in a soup.

The open-ended climax introducing the premise of 'Mistake 2'.

Silly dialogues (even when they face a deadly situation, the characters can only think of gay sex and all).

Tonal inconsistency. The movie wants to be a survival thriller, adventure comedy, and adult comedy at once.

The antagonist. Is he a clown or a 'KGF'-type villain?

The hermitage track, where dwarfs are brought in for cheap laughs.

Sameer's track. He is a business tycoon who behaves like a headless chicken.

Vox Verdict:

'Mistake' suffers from an identity crisis. Its plot points are dated. Its twists are almost non-existent. The adventure goes for a toss.

Agasthya, Karthik, and Dev are three happy-go-lucky friends who share a flat in the posh Jubilee Hills locality of Hyderabad. However, a mishap makes the trio run for their lives. They take their girlfriends along, only to realize someone else is also following them all. Will they make it?

Star Performances

As the easy-going trio, the performances of Abhinav, Teja, and Ajay are likable. The supporting cast, especially Raja Ravindra and Sameer, have done justice to their roles.

There are movies that more than often justify their titles, but in the wrong way. Thankfully, 'Mistake' does not take that path. It is a thriller, with absurdity and tension in equal amounts. Yet, despite the mix and match, the overall experience is far from bad.

Bharrath Komalapati is only one film, yet he skillfully handles all the twists and turns like a pro. If the intention was to make a compelling thriller sprinkled with a generous dose of fun, full marks for that.

The slick runtime is also a bonus. Despite a predictable plot, the impressive camerawork ensures that viewers will not witness another run-of-the-mill drama. The same goes for the editing. The music by Mana Zenna may not be fantastic, but the background score more than makes up for it.

Despite the movie being less than 2 hours long the director took a bit too long to introduce all the characters properly. By the time the makers would have got a whiff of it, they accelerated the narrative so much that despite the twists, the entire narrative looked a bit scattered. Even the antagonist is anything but menacing.

• Too much time taken in building the narrative

'Mistake' is a good thriller, but far from being the perfect one. Slick camerawork, good editing, and some acting performances make up for the slow narrative. It is best as a one-time watch.

Mistake Telugu Movie

Mistake is a 2023 Indian movie directed by Bharrath Komalapati starring Abhinav Sardhar, Ajay Kathurvar, Sujith Kumar and Teja Ainampudi. The feature film is produced by Abhinav Sardhar and the music composed by Mani Zenna.

‘Mistake’ is produced by Abhinav Sardhar and helmed by Bharrath Komalapati (story, screenplay and dialogues as well). Is it worth a watch? Here we tell you in this review:

The story essentially revolves around three couples, played by Ajay Kathurvar, Sujith Kumar, Teja Ainampudi, Karishma Kumar, Taniya Kalrra, and Priya Paul. On their way to a holiday destination, they are relentlessly chased by a tattooed, fearsome guy (Abhinav Sardhar). He hotly pursues them because he suspects they are in possession of invaluable, rare diamonds.

But they are no criminals or smugglers. Two of them are techies, one of them is a priest, and another one is a stylist. One of the two women is the daughter of an ACP (Raja Ravindra). Why did they get embroiled in the fracas? Are they innocent at all?

Performances:

You don’t watch a movie of this sort expecting great performances. But you are not prepared to tolerate over-the-top acting either. The guy who played the priest is exaggerated. Ajay Kathurvar, who played the stylist, is repetitive. The three women are better in comparison.

Abhinav Sardhar makes his badness too obvious. There is too much going for him in terms of tattoos and too little in terms of a script. His character is stagnant, never caring to mouth any lines.

Technical Departments:

Mani Zenna’s background score and Hari Jasthi’s cinematography compete with each other to make a mark, but only the former succeeds to an extent. Pruthvi Shekar’s action choreography is consistent in disappointing the audience. Probably, the director’s vague ideas didn’t let the stunt master experiment much. The crisis that the lead characters are in demands better ideas. Even jump scares were possible. The potential remains unexplored throughout.

Plus Points:

• The climax.
• Some jokes.
• The romantic song where the three pairs make out spontaneously in a ‘gudaram’.

Minus Points:

• Weak characterizations.
• Lack of tension.
• Lacklustre action and chases.
• Too few characters other than the three pairs.
• No major upheavals and twists.

‘Mistake’ commits fundamental mistakes on every level. This adventure comedy doesn’t derive any lessons from films belonging to the genre. Bollywood, Mollywood and Kollywood have come up with weighty movies in the genre. In contrast, ‘Mistake’ is too bland.

Anikha Surendran, Arjun Das and Surya Vashistta starrer Butta Bomma, an official remake of Kappela, hit the screens today. Let’s see how the movie is.

Satya (Anikha Surendran), an innocent village girl, falls in love with an auto driver Murali (Surya Vashistta) after dialling his number by mistake. One day, they meet for the first time in Vizag. They are being followed by Ramakrishna (Arjun Das). Why did Ramakrishna follow them? What happened next? What is the connection between the trio? The main film has all the answers.

Plus Points:

Most of the audiences are aware that Butta Bomma is an official Telugu remake of the Malayalam movie Kappela. The story chosen is simple and neat without much confusion.

Coming to performances, Anikha Surendran steals the show with her performance. Her acting as an innocent teenager is impressive. She also looks beautiful on screen and it is a decent debut for the actress as a heroine in Tollywood.

Besides Anikha, Surya Vashistta also performs very well. His character has different shades and he portrays them very well. Though it’s his debut film, one can wonder that he is an experienced actor after watching his performance.

Arjun Das played a character called Ramakrishna aka RK. Though he has less screen time, he gives his best and makes a good impression. The makers did a great job by roping in him for the role and he justified it. The other actors are okay in their given roles.

The dialogues written by Ganesh Kumar Ravuri are good and he needs to be appreciated for his finest work. The cinematography enhances the beauty of the film.

Minus Points:

Butta Bomma is a faithful remake but it has its flaws. The story has neat point to deliver but it will reach the audience when and only if it is narrated in a gripping manner. This is where the film fails to engage audiences. The director did an okay job but the screenwriter should have come up with a gripping screenplay, especially in the first half.

The sluggish screenplay in the first half makes one what exactly the director has to say. He could have run the show without much lag in the first half to make the second half more interesting.

This kind of stories don’t need songs. The film has around 3 songs but no song will be remembered by the end of the movie.

Technical Aspects:

Ganesh Ravuri should have written an engaging screenplay. Then the result of the movie would have been different for sure. But, his dialogues are good.

The camerawork by Vamsi Pachipulusu is impressive and enhances the beauty of the flick by showing picturesque locations in Araku. Gopi Sundar’s background score set the right mood in the film. The editing could have been better and many scenes in the first half need a cut. Production values are rich and one can witness them on the screen.

On the whole, Butta Bomma is a slow but passable drama that has a key social message. The performances of the leads, especially Anikha Surendran, are the biggest assets of the movie. Barring a few boring scenes in the first half, you can give the film a watch this weekend.
