How to Write Your Biography on Google

Having your biography published on Google is easier than you might think. Writing your own biography is called an autobiography. When someone else writes your life story, it's a biography. So technically, any biography you write about yourself would be an autobiography, not a biography. Technicalities aside, having your biography picked up by Google will give you worldwide exposure.

Begin by writing your life story in your word processing program. Web readers like short paragraphs, so make sure that each of your paragraphs has between 100 and 200 words for easy readability.

Video of the Day

Compile pictures into a folder and name them appropriately. "Jimsfirsttooth.jpg" is a more descriptive--and therefore better--name than "img-27.jpg."

Publish your biography on one of the many available self-publishing websites such as Google Knols or bukisa.com (see Resources).

Create an account on Google-owned blogspot.com. Here you can customize your layout and graphics more so than on other sites (see Resources).

Submit the URL (Web address) to the Google search engine. You might also want to submit it to the DMOZ biography section, because when people visit the Google Biography reference, it shows DMOZ results (see Resources).

Wait a few days for your page to be "crawled" by the search engines, then search for your name on Google. If you highlight a few specific sentences in your article and use the "copy" and "paste" function to paste it into the search engine for an exact quote, you'll probably find yourself right at the top of the Google results.

  • Submit your URL to Google
  • Write for Bukisa and get paid
  • Submit your URL to DMOZ
  • Publish on Google Knols

How to make changes to your Business Profile on Google

Woman working on a laptop

Key take-aways

Whether it's your first time using Business Profile on Google or you’ve had a Business Profile for a while and want to enhance it, updating your details is quick and easy. Learn how to make changes to your business listing and improve your online presence.

  • Adjusting your opening hours
  • Writing your description
  • Choosing attributes
  • Adding photos
  • Handling user reviews
  • Sharing posts
  • Adding products to your Business Profile

It's not possible to have a review removed just because it is negative or you don't agree with it. Instead, Business Profile on Google offers businesses the chance to publicly respond to reviews so that potential customers can see both sides of the story.

1. adjusting your opening hours.

To change your opening hours, sign in to Business Profile on Google, choose 'Info' from the menu and select 'Hours'. Use the drop-down arrows to set the 'Opens at' and 'Closes at' times for each day. To put a break in your opening hours, if you close for lunch, for example, you can create two entries for the same day.

After adding normal hours, you can schedule 'Special Hours' that will display your opening hours on public holidays or for special events. Sign into Business Profile on Google and click 'Special Hours'. Choose a holiday from the list or use 'Add new date' to enter your own. Click 'Closed' or choose new opening times, then click 'Apply'. If it is a public holiday and you don't select 'Special Hours', Google will automatically warn users that your hours may differ from the ones displayed.

You can also show late-night opening for special occasions, such as a toy shop in the run-up to Christmas. Updating your opening hours keeps potential customers informed, helping them avoid a wasted journey if your business is closed.

Knowledge Panel

When people search for a business on Google, they may see information about that business in a box that appears to the right of their search results. The information in the box, called the knowledge panel, can help customers discover and contact your business.

2. Writing your description

To add a description of your business or update an existing one, sign into Business Profile on Google, choose 'Info' and click on the pencil icon next to 'Add business description'.

Put the most important information first and don't waste characters on information that already appears in your listing, like your address or website. Focus on interesting details about your business that are genuinely informative and help distinguish you from the competition such as "family-owned business" for a restaurant or "25 state-of-the-art treadmills" for a gym.

Your business description brings your business to life, offering users more detail and helping to entice them in. Double-check spelling and grammar before publishing, avoid slang to ensure the description is understood and avoid over-promoting. Make your business sound as inviting as possible but avoid including statements like 'Super sale!' as this contravenes Google's business description guidelines.

3. Choosing attributes

Attributes are a chance to show off key features that your business has to offer. To add or edit an attribute, sign in to Business Profile on Google, select 'Info' from the menu and click the pencil next to 'Attributes'. Scroll through the ones available for your business, then select 'Apply'.

Business Profile on Google automatically suggests the attributes that are most appropriate to your business. A cafe may choose from "Free WiFi" and "Outdoor Seating", while a grocer might mention "Free Delivery". Check the accessibility attributes to see if you can click "Yes" against the criteria for wheelchair-accessible entrances, toilets, seating, parking and lifts to add these attributes to your business listing too.

4. Adding photos

Your business listing features a logo, photos and videos. To upload photos and videos, sign in to Business Profile on Google, select 'Photos' and the type of photo or video you want then click 'Choose photo' and upload. Select a range of business-specific photos to show off all your company's features from exteriors to products, and then set your preferred cover photo.

According to Think with Google research , photos can make or break a potential customer’s decision to visit your business, so make sure they’re the best they can be. A good quality photo is between 10kb and 5MB in size with a 720x720 pixel resolution. Videos should also be 720 pixels or higher, up to 100mb in size and a maximum of 30 seconds long. Images and videos should be in focus and well lit. Your visuals will be most effective if they are a true and accurate representation of what potential customers will see when they visit you.

If you’ve filled out your core information (phone number, hours, etc) you can also have your logo displayed at the top right-hand side of your profile. This gives your business a further branding opportunity and instantly shows your user what your official logo and branding is.

5. Handling user reviews

Occasionally, someone may leave a review that violates Google's policy, because it is offensive, off-topic or even illegal. It’s not possible for businesses to remove reviews themselves, so if you identify one that breaks the rules, you’ll need to flag it up for Google. Sign in to Business Profile on Google and visit 'Reviews' on the menu, find the inappropriate review and click the three-dot menu to select 'Flag as inappropriate'.

It’s not possible to have a review removed just because it is negative or you don’t agree with it. Instead, Business Profile on Google offers businesses the chance to publicly respond to reviews so that potential customers can see both sides of the story. This gives you the opportunity to apologise and assure others this was a one-off situation, for example, or invite the unhappy customer to get in touch to discuss the issue further. Some negative ratings aren't always a bad thing, as Think With Google research shows consumers trust honest reviews.

6. Sharing posts

Posts give businesses like yours the space to share with their audience. You can use a post to tell customers about:

  • Events like a seasonal brunch or in-store event
  • Special offers like sales and discounts
  • Product/stock updates like the arrival of new merchandise
  • Announcements such as late opening hours or a new store location

To make a post, sign in to Business Profile on Google and click 'Create post' on the menu. On the next screen, choose a type of post such as offers or events, then click on the fields to add photos, videos, text and a button. Choose 'Preview' to review your post and 'Back' to make changes or 'Publish' if you are ready to share it on your profile.

You could write up to 1,500 characters for each post but short — between 150 and 300 characters — tends to be more effective. While you don't need to include things like your business name, make sure you don't forget any important details like how long an event lasts. Posts can be featured on your Business Profile for seven days. After that, they’ll only appear in the "posts" tab of your listing on mobile.

Making the most of your profile is simple. Keep your ideal customers in mind with every edit, and you’ll start seeing the benefits in no time.

7. Adding products to your Business Profile

Once you’ve added your business hours, photos, and more, you can also show the products you carry in-store directly on your Business Profile.

There are two ways you can add your products to your profile:

  • Use Pointy from Google to automatically add your products.
  • Use the Product Editor to add products manually.

Automatically add your products with Pointy

Using Pointy is simple and free of charge — just connect it with your point of sale system, scan your products as normal, and watch them appear on your profile for local shoppers to find. Pointy automatically matches an image and description with the product barcode so there’s no manual data entry needed.

Having your in-store products listed on your profile makes it easy for customers to see what you carry and check availability before coming to your store to make a purchase.

  • To find your Business Profile, search on Google for your exact business name. You can also search for “my business.”
  • If needed, to manage your Business Profile, select View profile.

Armadillo Scutes

  • Armadillo Scutes can be used to craft Wolf Armor

  • The Wolf Armor will protect the wolf from most damage sources until the armor loses all durability and breaks

  • Xbox-only: If multiple users are signed into an Xbox, then the users might not be able to post to Realms Stories from that Xbox (unless all users besides the primary user log out).
  • Xbox-only: If multiple users are signed into an Xbox, Realm Events will not be posted, but they will be recorded. If all users but the primary user sign out of Xbox, and the primary user returns to the Minecraft play screen, the Realm Events that were recorded before should get posted. However, the Realm Events may be credited to the wrong user.

Google+ provides a social platform that you can use to create a Web presence for you and your business. When customers search for you on Google by your first name, one of the top results will be your Google+ profile. By writing your bio profile to include your business' information -- such as links to your website or your products -- and making it public, a search for you on Google would present potential customers with links and information about your company.

Log in to your Google+ account, and the main Google time line appears. Click the "Profile" icon on the left-hand side of the screen.

Click the blue "Edit Profile" button.

Click on the "Introduction" section header to edit your bio. You can write about yourself or your business in plain text. This text will appear in Google searches when people search for you and get your Google+ profile.

Write a bio that advertises you and your business. There are no length restrictions, so you can include as much information as you need. However, only a small section initially appears in Google search, so you want to put important information near the top. While you can use lists and font effects such as bold and italics, don't over do them, as they can make your profile seem busy. You can also link to your company's website or your email by highlighting some text, clicking the "Link" button in the editing box, and pasting the URL of your website or email address in the link window.

Select an access type, such as "Public," "Your Circles," "Extended Circles" or "Only You." Public allows anyone to view your profile. Your Circles allows only those in your circles to view your profile. Extended Circles allows people in your circles and the people in their circles to view your profile. Only You locks your profile as private.

Easy Guide to Updating the BIOS on a Computer (Windows)

Last Updated: March 28, 2024 Fact Checked

Downloading the BIOS Update File

Updating your bios.

This article was co-authored by Mobile Kangaroo and by wikiHow staff writer, Megaera Lorenz, PhD . Mobile Kangaroo is a full service repair shop and Apple Authorized Service Provider headquartered in Mountain View, CA. Mobile Kangaroo has been repairing electronic devices such as computers, phones, and tablets, for over 19 years, with locations in over 20 cities. This article has been fact-checked, ensuring the accuracy of any cited facts and confirming the authority of its sources. This article has been viewed 4,608,775 times.

This wikiHow teaches you how to update the BIOS ( B asic I nput O utput S ystem) firmware for a Windows computer. Keep in mind that your BIOS rarely needs updating, and updating the BIOS incorrectly can render your computer completely inoperable. If you’re running Windows 10 or 11, your computer may update your BIOS automatically. Mac computers typically use a different type of firmware that automatically updates when you update your operating system .

How to Install a BIOS Update

  • Before downloading an update, use the System Information utility to search for your system model and current BIOS or UEFI version.
  • Search for your manufacturer’s support site by typing your computer model into Google and “BIOS” or “drivers.”
  • Select “Updates,” “Support,” or “Downloads” on the manufacturer’s site to download. Extract the BIOS file to update.

Step 1 Open Start icon.

  • You can also press the ⊞ Win key to access the Start menu.

Step 2 Open System Information.

  • Skip this step if you have a custom-built computer.

Step 5 Find your BIOS version number.

  • For a computer with the model number "Q553UB" and a BIOS set to version 202, for example, you would see "Q553UB.202" here.
  • If you're using a custom-built computer, you'll need to find your motherboard's model instead of using the computer's model number.
  • You can also find the BIOS with the command prompt by typing in the command wmic bios get biosversion .

Step 6 Check the BIOS Mode line to see if you have BIOS or UEFI.

  • If you're using a custom-built computer, you'll need to look up your computer's motherboard name along with "BIOS" or "UEFI" and "update" and then open the manufacturer's website.

Step 8 Find the BIOS update file.

  • Again, this may involve some trial and error.

Is it safe to update the BIOS in Windows? Joseph Alexander, a computer repair technician, explains: "It is typically safe to update your BIOS as long as you source the BIOS update directly from the device manufacturer. Make sure you follow their instructions carefully."

Step 9 Make sure the update file is newer than your BIOS version.

  • If the version number on the website matches your BIOS version number, your BIOS is up-to-date and does not need updating.
  • Even if your current BIOS version is a whole number (e.g., 301) and the file on the site is listed as a higher decimal (e.g., 301.1), the site's file is a higher version than your BIOS uses.

Step 10 Download the update file.

  • In some cases, you may have to click the file's name to prompt it to download.
  • Most BIOS update files will download inside of a ZIP folder.

Step 1 Make sure your computer is plugged into a reliable power source.

  • If you're using a laptop, your computer's battery should be fully charged in addition to the laptop being plugged in.

Step 2 Extract your BIOS file.

  • Double-click the downloaded ZIP file to open it.
  • Click the Extract tab at the top of the window.
  • Click Extract all .
  • Click Extract when prompted.
  • Wait for the extracted folder to open.

Step 3 Read your BIOS file's README document if applicable.

  • If the README file's instructions for updating your BIOS contradict the instructions in the rest of this article, make sure you follow the README's instructions instead.
  • For some older or custom-made computers, you may need to run the BIOS installer from a USB flash drive instead of directly from the computer’s hard drive. However, this isn’t necessary for most modern PCs. Check the README file to be sure.

Step 4 Access the BIOS...

  • For most computers, this key is one of the function keys (e.g., F12 ), though some computers use the Del key or the Esc key.
  • If you don't know your computer's BIOS key, look it up by typing your computer's manufacturer name, model name, and "BIOS key" into a search engine.
  • In Windows 10 or 11, you can also access the BIOS settings from the Settings menu. From Settings , navigate to Update & Security > Recovery > Restart Now (under Advanced startup) . In the window that pops up, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings > Restart .

Step 5 Back up your BIOS if possible.

  • You may instead be prompted to back up your BIOS once you initiate the backup process.
  • Not all BIOS pages allow you to back up their settings.

Step 6 Enable and use your BIOS update tool.

  • In many cases, you'll select the Boot tab, ensure that your USB flash drive shows up, enable any backup or "Flash" options in the menu, and then select the Start Flash option from the Advanced tab. [1] X Research source
  • Sometimes, pressing the BIOS key while a USB drive is plugged in will bring up a unique menu that allows you to select an Update option and follow the on-screen instructions. This is common on Dell computers. [2] X Research source

Step 7 Allow your computer's BIOS to update.

  • Do not turn off your computer while the BIOS is updating. Doing so can cause the BIOS to become corrupted, meaning that your computer will be unable to start, complete the BIOS installation, or otherwise run at all.

Community Q&A

  • Your system keeps crashing due to a problem with the motherboard.
  • Your old BIOS or UEFI is not compatible with some new hardware you’d like to install, such as a graphics card or added memory.
  • Your old BIOS or UEFI is vulnerable to security issues.
  • If you’re using a PC that’s running Windows 10 or 11, your computer’s manufacturer may prompt you to update the BIOS through Windows Update. If this is the case, you won’t need to download or install anything separately—simply check for updates or set your PC to update automatically. Thanks Helpful 0 Not Helpful 0
  • BIOS updates may be released to fix existing bugs, add support for new hardware and standards, or add functionality. If they're available, read the release notes or other documentation for the BIOS update you're considering to see if the update will benefit your PC. Thanks Helpful 0 Not Helpful 0

Google’s CEO On What Search Will Be Like In 10 Years

Google's CEO Sundar Pichai discusses how AI will influence what search engines will look like in ten years

Google's CEO Sundar Pichai Interview

Google and Alphabet’s CEO Sundar Pichai sat down for a discussion on AI that inevitably focused on the future of search. He explained his view of search and the role of websites ten years from now, insisting that the only thing different is the technology.

Key ideas he focused on when discussing search is that today’s search is already AI based, people trust search, and that websites will still play a role in the future of the Internet.

These Are The Early Days

The interviewer asked if Sundar was caught by surprise by how fast AI has progressed recently. Google’s CEO made it clear that Google was indeed at the forefront of AI and that they have been creating the infrastructure for it since 2016. He also reminded the interviewer that the world is at the very beginning of the AI age and that there’s a lot more coming.

Sundar answered:

“…one of the main things I did as a CEO is to really pivot the company towards working on AI and I think that’ll serve us well for the next decade ahead. For example now I look back and compute is the hot currency now. We built TPUs, we started really building them at scale in 2016 right, so we have definitely been thinking about this for a long time. …we’ve always had a sense for uh the trajectory ahead and in many ways we’ve been preparing the company for that and so I think foundationally a lot of our R&D …a lot of it has gone into AI for a long time and so I feel incredibly well positioned for what’s coming. We’re still in the very early days I think people will be surprised at the level of progress we’re going to see and I feel like we’ve scratched the tip of the iceberg.”

The Only Thing Different Is The Technology

Sundar was also asked about the future of search and what it would look like. There’s a lot of anxiety by publishers and search marketers that AI will replace search entirely and that websites will fall into decline, taking the SEO industry down with it.

So it may come as a relief that Google’s CEO anticipates a future in which people and websites continue playing an important role in search just as it does today.

He starts by asserting that AI has been a part of search for many years and that web ecosystem still plays a role in making search useful. He also underlines the point that the ten blue links hasn’t been a thing for 15 years (people also ask, videos, top news, carousels), that Google has long given direct answers ( featured snippets , etc).

This is the question asked:

How are things going to evolve? Like how will people access information in 10 years?

Sundar answers that the only thing different is the technology:

“Look, I think it’s one of the common myths around that Google has been ten blue links for a long time. You know, when mobile came we knew Google search had to evolve a lot. We call it Featured Snippets, but for almost ten years now, you go to Google for many questions we kind of use AI to answer them right, we call it web answers internally. And so, we’ve always answered questions where we can but we always felt when people come and look for information people in certain cases want answers but they also want the richness and the diversity of what’s out there in the world and it’s a good balance to be had and we’ve always, I think, struck that balance pretty well. To me all that is different is now the technology by which you can answer is progressing, so we will continue doing that. But this evolution has been underway in search for a long long time.”

People Trust Search

Sundar observed that search has always evolved and despite it being different today than what it was like fifteen years ago, it’s still about surfacing information from the web.

He continued:

“Search used to be text and 10 blue links maybe 15 years ago but you know be it images, be it videos, be it finding answers for your questions, those are all changes you know …to to my earlier point people kind of shrug and …we’ve done all this in Google search for a long time and people like it, people engage with it, people trust it. So to me, I view it as a more natural continuation, obviously with LLMs and AI. I think you have a more powerful tool to do that and so which is what we are putting in search, you know with Search Generative Experience and so we’ll continue evolving it in that direction too.”

Search Engines And The Web Go Together

He was next asked about the question of political and cultural biases in search engines, mentioning that Google’s output has been accused of reflecting the liberal biases of its employees. He was asked, how do you think about what answer to give to questions?

Sundar’s answer returned to referencing the value of information created by people as found on websites as the best source of answers. He said that even with Search Generative Experience, they still want to point users to websites.

This is how he explained it:

“Let’s talk about search for a second here, you’re asking a very important question. I think you know the the work we have done over many many years making sure, from a search standpoint, in search we try to reflect what’s out in the web. And we want to give trustworthy high quality information. We’ve had to navigate all of this for a long time. I think we’ve always struck the balance, that’s what I’m saying, it’s not about giving an answer, there are certain times you give an answer, what’s the population of the United States, yes it’s an answerable question. There are times you want to surface the breadth of opinions out there on the web which is what search does and does it well. Just because you’re saying we are summarizing it on top doesn’t mean we veer from those principles. The summary can still point you to the range of opinions out there right, and we do that today all the time.”

SGE Is Not A Chatbot Experience

This next part is very important because it emphasizes the word “search” in the phrase, Search Generative Experience in order to contrast that with talking to a chatbot.

There are a lot of articles predicting the decline of search traffic due to SGE , but there are many reasons why that’s not what’s happening and Sundar explains that by differentiating the search experience from the chatbot experience. This is super important because it’s a point that’s lost on those who kneejerk react that SGE is going to replace websites. According to Sundar, that’s not the case because search and chatbots are two different things.

His answer:

“And so I think that’s different from when you’re in a chatbot and I think that’s the more active area of research where sometimes it has its voice so how do you get those moments right and you know again for us I think it’s an area where we will be deeply committed to getting it right. How do you do it in a way that which you represent the wide range of views that are held by people around the world and I think there are many aspects to it, the issues with AI models are not just at Google you see it across other models.”

AI Improves Search (Not Replaces It)

Near the end of the discussion, Sundar describes AI as a technology that improves current technologies (and not as something that replaces them). This too is an important point to consider when thinking about how AI will impact search and SEO .

His explanation of how AI improves but not necessarily replaces:

“…of course as a company you want to make sure you’re capitalizing on those innovations and building successful products, businesses, but I think we’ve long demonstrated that we can do it. The thing that excites me about AI is it’s the same underlying piece of technology for the first time in our history we have one leveraged piece of technology which can improve search, can improve YouTube, can improve Waymo and we put it all as cloud to our customers outside and so I feel good about that.”

There was a lot of important information in this interview that provides the most comprehensive picture of what the state of search will look like in the future.

Some of the important points:

  • AI is not new. It’s been a part of Google for many years now.
  • Google has provided answers and summaries for years
  • Websites are important to search
  • SGE is not a chatbot experience, it’s a search experience
  • Search and chatbots are two different things
  • AI improves search (not replaces it)

Man in suit leaves courthouse

The jurors: who is on the Trump trial jury?

Seven men and five women have been chosen to sit on the jury in the ex-president’s hush-money trial. Here’s what we know

The difficult process of selecting a jury in the case against Donald Trump neared its conclusion on Thursday , with a jury of 12 people empaneled for the first criminal trial of a former president in US history.

The jury is made up of seven men and five women who live in different parts of Manhattan, including the Upper East Side, Harlem, Hell’s Kitchen and the West Village. They come from a range of personal backgrounds and employment histories. Several jurors said they had no strong opinions on Trump, and a few said that they do not closely follow the news. The exact racial makeup of the jury, and the ages of the jurors, is unclear.

The full identities of the jury will remain anonymous because of security concerns, but during jury selection the individuals were asked to provide some personal details about themselves. Judge Juan Merchan, who is presiding over the criminal hush-money trial , barred reporters from revealing the current and former employers of jurors and urged them not to use physical descriptors that could compromise their identity.

Here’s what to know about them:

Juror No 1, a man, works in sales and previously worked as a waiter, and has some college education. He is married with no children, and says he gets news from a range of outlets such as the New York Times, the Daily Mail, Fox News and MSNBC.

Juror No 2 is a married man who works in investment banking. He has an MBA in finance. He described himself as someone who “reads basically everything” and said that while he doesn’t hold any strong beliefs or opinions, he does follow the news and sees Trump’s Truth Social posts via Twitter. He told the court that he had not read any of Trump’s books, but had seen quotes from The Art of the Deal.

Juror No 3 is a man who appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s, who is originally from the west coast. He works in corporate law and said that he gets his news from the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Google.

Juror No 4 is a man who is originally from the west coast. He is a security engineer with some college education, and is married with children. He said he was not on social media, and once served on a criminal jury in the past though could not remember the verdict. When asked if he had any concerns about returning a guilty verdict, he said no.

Juror No 5 is a young woman who said that she had friends with strong opinions on Trump, but that she was not a political person and avoided the news. She said she did appreciate Trump’s candor, and that he “speaks his mind, and I’d rather that than someone who’s in office who you don’t know what they’re thinking”.

Mandisa, 'American Idol' singer and Grammy winner, dies at 47

Mandisa

Grammy-winning singer Mandisa, who rose to fame on season five of “American Idol,”  has died, her representative said Friday. She was 47.

“We can confirm that yesterday Mandisa was found in her home deceased," her representative said in a statement to NBC News. “At this time we do not know the cause of death or any further details.”

“We ask for your prayers for her family and close knit circle of friends during this incredibly difficult time,” the statement concluded.

She was found dead in her Nashville home, according to The Tennessean .

A post on the artist's Facebook page said early Friday: “Mandisa was a voice of encouragement and truth to people facing life’s challenges all around the world. She wrote this song for a dear friend who had passed in 2017.”

“Her own words say it best. I’m already home / You’ve got to lay it down / ‘cause Jesus holds me now— / And I am not alone.”

The singer, whose full name is Mandisa Lynn Hundley, shot to stardom after placing ninth on “American Idol.” She went on to win a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album in 2014 for her album “Overcomer.”

Originally from Sacramento, California, Mandisa grew up singing in church and studied vocal performance at American River College, and continued her studies at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, according to her record label artist bio . After college, she worked as a session and backup vocalists for artists including Shania Twain and Trisha Yearwood before going on "American Idol."

In 2017, the singer told “Good Morning America” that she fell into a deep depression in 2014 and almost took her own life following the death of her close friend, Lakisha Mitchell , who had breast cancer.

“It got pretty bad — to the point where if I had not gotten off that road I would not be sitting here today,” Mandisa said. “I was this close to listening to that voice that told me, ‘You can be with Jesus right now, Mandisa. All you have to do is take your life.’"

“It almost happened. But God is what I say. He saved my life quite literally,” she added.

She revealed that in her dark state, she resorted to emotional eating and isolation.

“(Emotional eating) is what I have done my entire life,” she explained. “After losing over 120 pounds, which I talked about my first time here, I gained it all back and 75 more. I sunk into the deepest depression of my life after Kisha died.”

She said her friends ultimately intervened and she got help.

Mandisa had released six studio albums, the last being 2017’s “Out of the Dark.”

Tributes poured in following news of Mandisa’s passing.

“Her kindness was epic, her smile electric, her voice massive, but it was no match for the size of her heart,” Christian radio station K-LOVE Chief Media Officer David Pierce shared.

“Mandisa struggled, and she was vulnerable enough to share that with us, which helped us talk about our own struggles. Mandisa’s struggles are over, she is with the God she sang about now. While we are saddened, Mandisa is home. We’re praying for Mandisa’s family and friends and ask you to join us,” he added.

“Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts wrote on X : “My heart is heavy hearing about Mandisa. Incredibly blessed that she was there my first day back on ⁦ @GMA ⁩ following my long medical leave. Her beautiful music & spirit lifted me and countless others.”

Singer Matthew West , who recorded the 2007 duet “Christmas Makes Me Cry” with Mandisa, said: “I am so incredibly saddened to hear about the loss of my friend Mandisa. I will always cherish the memories of times we spent together hosting award shows, going on tour, and most of all helping her tell her story in the songwriting room.”

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.

If the merchant believes that there’s an error, they can set the correct opening date.
