First, head to the Start Menu and click on the 'Settings' tile.

After that, click on the 'Personalization' tab from the left sidebar to proceed.

Next, click on the 'Background' tile from the right section of the window to continue.

Then, click on the dropdown on the 'Personalize background' tile and select the 'Slideshow' option.

Afterward, click on the 'Browse' button. This will open a File Explorer window on your screen. Locate the folder that comprises the pictures and select it.

Once you have chosen a folder, select the duration for how frequently the picture should change using the dropdown menu.

You can also shuffle the picture order by turning on the 'Shuffle the picture order' tile.

The slideshow will be turned off when you are on battery power by default. To let it run on battery power, turn on the toggle on the respective tile.

You can also add multiple folders here to include in the slideshow. To do so, again click on the 'Browse' button and select the folder using the File Explorer window that opens.

3. Set up a Slideshow as Screen Saver

Setting up a slideshow as a screensaver is a fairly similar process.

Head to the Settings app and then to the 'Personalization' tab, as shown in the previous sections of this guide. Then, from the right section of the window, click on the 'Lock Screen' tile to proceed.

Next, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the 'Screen Saver' tile to continue. This will open a separate window on your screen.

On the separate window, click on the dropdown menu and select the 'Photos' option.

Afterward, click on the 'Settings' button to continue. This will bring a separate window to your screen.

Then, click on the 'Browse' button. It will open an Explorer window; choose the directory that includes all the photos you wish to set as a slideshow.

Once selected, you can set the slideshow speed using the dropdown menu. There is no granular control, but you can choose from 'Slow', 'Medium', or 'Fast' options.

Finally, click the checkbox if you wish to shuffle the picture order. Once all the preferences have been set, click on the 'Save' button.

On the main window, select the wait duration (i.e., the time your PC needs to be inactive for the screen saver to kick in). Then, click on the 'Apply' and 'OK' buttons to apply the changes.

4. Run a Slideshow Using the Photos App

If you have your computer connected to an external screen and wish to display the slideshow of your pictures, the Photos app is your best option.

First, head to the Start Menu and type Photos. Then, click on the 'Photos' tile from the search results.

You can either select the pictures and start a slideshow right away; however, if you wish to have the selection handy as you might have to play frequently, you can also create a folder of the selected pictures.

If you want to exit the slideshow mode, simply press the ‘Esc’ key on your keyboard or click on the ‘X’ button on the top-right corner of the window. You can also pause or resume the slideshow by clicking on the ‘Pause’ or ‘Play’ buttons on the bottom-left side of the window.

With a brand new look and many fresh features, the Photos App has received a complete overhaul in Windows 11. Here is a guide on how to navigate the transformed interface.

Even within this OS, there is a big difference between certain versions of the Photos application. The 22H2 update brought a slew of major changes, transforming its interface and features. It also introduced Clipchamp into the suite of Windows applications, giving you access to a more powerful, more streamlined video editor than the default Photos editor.

What’s New in the Windows 11 Photos App?

The most obvious difference in the new version of the Photos app – or rather, in every aspect of Windows 11 in comparison with Windows 10 , really – is the revamped interface. The windows look different, the button layout has been altered, and many options are placed in different locations than before.

Overall, the look achieved is cleaner and more aesthetic than before. Most of the options you need are still there, just in a more streamlined form. In many ways, the UI mimics the graceful simplicity of Apple, and it’s not a bad thing.

Opening a Photo From the File Explorer

There are two ways to get to the Photos app —opening the app directly, or just double-clicking a photo on your PC. Unless you have modified your defaults, this will open up the picture using the Photos app, giving a more minimalistic window than the one you get with the full app. Here are some features of this view:

A Vanishing Toolbar

When you open a photo directly from Windows Explorer, the toolbar will show up over the picture. Clicking anywhere on the photo will make it disappear, but you can always click again to bring it back.

Coming to the toolbar itself, the streamlined approach of the new Windows 11 is apparent here as well. You will only see a small selection of the most commonly used options represented by the new icons.

Don’t worry, though. The rest of the options are still there. Click on the Three dots at the end of the toolbar to bring down a menu containing the missing options, including things like Resize, Slideshow, and even Settings.

At the bottom of the Photos app, you will spot a ribbon of images. This Film Strip lays out all the pictures in the current folder, letting you switch between them easily.

Keep in mind that the film strip only displays photos in the current directory, not your whole device. For a more powerful way to view multiple images, we can use the Albums feature.

Collage View

Better yet, you can select multiple photos from the film strip, which displays them all at once in a collage view of sorts. To do this, simply take the cursor to the corner of the image tile in the film strip and enable the checkbox.

You can freely select and deselect images through this method, shuffling the collage around to compare the photos. The only drawback of this method is that it is limited to the images in the current folder.

A More Intuitive Gallery

The default gallery view you get upon opening the Photos app sports a different look as well. Called Collection , this tab displays all recently opened photos, sorted by the date as before.

At the top are a few highlighted collections, throwing a spotlight on things like recently accessed pictures or photos clicked on the same day. On the right is a date slider you can drag down to take a trip down memory lane and access older photos.

You can also click at various points of the slider to display pictures of a particular month, which is useful to hunt down photos saved on specific dates.

Making Sense of the New UI

We have already taken a look at what the Photos app looks like when opening, but let’s understand the elements on the screen one by one.

The top bar, to begin with, is where most of your options to navigate the app are located.

On the left are the various tabs we will discuss in their sections. Then you get the Search bar, which is handy for finding photos by a specific name or even tag. Of course, this is more useful to people who have a naming system or tag their photos properly.

After that, you can spot the OneDrive icon on the right, helping you access the pictures in the OneDrive cloud storage.

Below that is a series of buttons: New , Select , Import , and Account .

The first one lets you create a new video project or album.

Select lets you, well, select multiple photos from your Collection.

The next button is for Importing folders not in your collection, from your PC or even an external hard drive.

The account button is just for managing the Microsoft accounts linked to your app.

Finally, you have a three-dot icon to bring down a small menu containing more options such as Slideshow and Settings.

Organize Photos with Albums

The second tab in the Photos app is Albums. As the name suggests, this gives you the ability to create your own photo albums, freely adding and removing pictures as needed.

They don’t even have to be from the same folder – you can create albums organizing photos located anywhere on your PC, or even OneDrive. Of course, you will have to import them into your Collection first.

This tab can organize your photos by people, letting you make sense of large photo albums easily. And don’t worry, you don’t have to manually tag every photo – the app will use an image grouping algorithm to automatically sort the photos by the people in them.

But not all people are comfortable having their photos tagged like this, so only do this if you have the consent of the persons involved.

View All Pictures on Your PC with Folders

The Folders tab lists out entire directories containing photos in one place. By default, this includes OneDrive as well as the Pictures folder, though you can add any other folders as well.

In some cases, this can make this tab a better tool to view all the pictures of your computer than the Gallery view. If you keep your photos already organized in neatly labeled folders, for example, the scrambled results of the Collection tab aren’t useful.

Video Editor

There is conflicting information online about the state of the default Photos video editor. Most articles claim that the built-in video editor has been discontinued, and with good reason – Microsoft has introduced Clipchamp into the Windows app ecosystem to act as the video editor instead.

But if you have the latest version of Windows and fire up the app, you will find that the Video Editor tab is there and very much still working. So while it is possible that the feature will be eventually phased out, for now, it is possible to use the Photos video editor for making changes to the videos on your Windows computer.

Its performance is also pretty good, at least for minor editing tasks like removing/adding audio or trimming videos . You can always use Clipchamp as well since it comes bundled with Windows as well.

Cloud Integration

The new Photos app brings cloud integration with iCloud as well as OneDrive, letting you make it your photos hub both for your Windows and Apply ecosystems. This means you can finally view the photos you click on your iPhone without having to manually transfer them to your computer.

To do this, you will need to install iCloud for Windows from the official Microsoft Store. By default, only the OneDrive option is available in the Photos app.

You can import not just photos from your Cloud storage but also entire external drives pretty easily. This is a lifesaver for anyone with a lot of photos collected over the years in multiple drives. Just plug them in, import the pictures, and you can organize them like the others.

Is the New Photos App Worth It?

People are skeptical of big changes, and with good reason – drastic UI differences can often make your favorite apps harder to use. Windows 8 tanked due to this very reason, and it seems that Microsoft has learned from its mistakes.

The new Photos app, while sporting a reinvented interface, does not ditch the features that make it work. Everything you are used to is still there in a more streamlined form.

In addition, it brings a host of new features that bring it more in line with more popular photo-viewing apps, making it unnecessary to download anything else for this purpose. You have a better gallery, and cloud support (including iCloud) apart from a built-in video editor good for basic tasks like clipping videos.

There's no shortage of ways to set up a slideshow, and Windows 11 makes it easy to do it in a wide range of ways. Whether you want to actively display your photos or have them shown on the desktop, let's take a look at some of the tools for creating photo slideshows on Windows 11.

If you haven't yet, it's a good idea to put your photos into the same folder. You can store them locally or on a OneDrive folder, if you have an internet connection.

If you're actively trying to show off photos in a slideshow, the Windows 11 Photos is arguably the best way to do it. This app lets you choose the photos to view, adjust transitions, play music, and more. Here's how to use it:

• Open the Photos app. You can find it in the Start menu.
• If your pictures are in a specific folder, use the Folders option on the left to navigate to the photos you want to show off.
• To use only selected pictures for the slideshow, click the checkbox in the corner of each picture you want to use before starting the slideshow.
• Once the slideshow starts, click the Slideshow options button (it looks like a music note) to change the music, transitions, and whether the slideshow should loop after showing all the photos. Close
• The bar at the top can also be used to pause the slideshow, change the volume, or minimize the slideshow.
• To quit the slideshow, move the mouse over the top right corner of the screen to show the Close button.

If you want photos to constantly display as a slideshow on your desktop background, you have that option, too. This makes it so your favorite pictures are always visible at a moment's notice. Here's how:

• Open the Settings app. You can find it in the Start menu.
• Click Personalization in the menu bar on the left.
• Click Background .
• Next to Personalize your background , open the dropdown menu and choose Slideshow .
• Click the Browse button to find the folder you want to use for your slideshow.
• Click Choose this folder once you have the right one.

Changing the picture every minute may impact the performance of some PCs.

• You can change additional settings like shuffling the picture order or choose how images should behave to fit the desktop if the aspect ratio doesn't match.

If you'd like to have a slideshow playing on the lock screen when your PC is inactive, or simply see a different picture whenever you turn on your PC, that's also an option:

• Open the Settings app.
• Click Personalization in the left-side menu.
• Click Lock screen .
• Next to Personalize your lock screen , open the dropdown menu and choose Slideshow .
• Click Browse to find a folder to pull pictures from. You can add multiple folders, but only one at a time.
• If you want to remove a folder, click Remove next to its name.
• You can customize Advanced slideshow settings to further tweak the slideshow. This includes the option to show the lock screen when your PC is inactive rather than turning off the screen, so the lock screen acts more like a screen saver.

If you have your photos stored in Google Photos, you can also view them as a slideshow online. The easiest way to do this is to create an album, if you haven't already.

• Open Google Photos in your browser.
• Click the Upload button near the top right corner to choose pictures to upload (if they're not already on Google Photos).
• Choose the pictures to upload and click Open .
• Select the photos you uploaded by clicking the checkmark in the top left corner of each one. You can select all photos with the same date using the checkmark next to the date header.
• Click the + (plus) button and then click Album .
• Click New album to create a new album with your photos.
• Enter a name for the album.
• Click the checkmark next to Edit album to save your changes.
• To start a slideshow, click the three-dot button in the top right corner then choose Slideshow .
• The slideshow will begin.

If you want to get deeper into it and make a video slideshow you can share with others as a file, you can use Clipchamp to create a video from your photos. Here's how it works:

• Open Clipchamp on your PC. It should be in the Start menu, but you can also use it in your browser.
• If you haven't yet, log in or create an account.
• Click Create a new video .
• Click Import media to choose photos to add to your slideshow.
• Click the + (plus) button next to each image to add it to the video timeline. Alternatively, you can drag and drop them in the order you want.
• On the timeline, click and drag the edge of each image to adjust how long it should be in the video.
• Click the space between images to add a transition effect.
• To change the transition style, click the transition icon on the timeline and then click Transitions on the menu on the right.
• Choose a transition style from the list.
• You can also add music to the video using the Import media option or the Content library on the left side to use stock music.
• The Text option on the left lets you add custom text to the slideshow, too.

How to Use Slideshow and Spot Fix in the Windows 11 Photos App

Windows 11's Photos app is more than just an image viewer. Here's how to use the Slideshow and Spot Fix features.

Microsoft Photos is testing some new experimental features to upgrade the feature set to make it a full-fledged photo viewing and editing app. The primary standout feature is Spot Fix which removes blemishes from photos. Another new addition is the revamped slideshow which now offers cool designs, background music, and some transitions and animations as well.

Wondering how to get these latest features in the Photos app and use them to organize and edit your image collection? Let’s discuss these features and whether they fix the flaws in the Photos app.

What Does the Slideshow Feature Do?

The current Photos app in Windows 11 lacks a slideshow feature. If you want to preview images in full-screen or windowed mode, you need to click the left or right icons in the app to change the image or press the left or right arrow keys. The slideshow feature automates this process but doesn’t just stop there.

While playing the slideshow, you can pick from the newly introduced 25 official music tracks of different categories (Chill, Beat, Energetic, and 3 more) and configure auto-loop for the slideshow. Moreover, you can add animations and transitions to the slideshow.

The updated Photos app also supports the option to switch the slideshow to windowed mode. It means that you can drag and resize the slideshow window and continue running it in one section of your display.

How to Update the Photos App

All the new features are available with the Photos app version number 2023.11050.2013.0 or higher. At the time of writing, this is only available for Windows Insiders. If you're not an Insider, you can still download the Windows 11 Insider ISO without joining the Insider program .

If you are in the Windows Insider program, update your Insider build and manually check for updates in the Photos app or Microsoft Store. You can run this new version of the Photos app in both the Dev and Canary channels .

If you don’t yet see the update for the Photos app, copy the official Microsoft Store link of the app and visit the Store.Rg-adguard website . Paste the link in the search box and select the Fast or Slow option. Click on the tick icon and download the latest Photos app build for Windows Insider. Install the app and then continue to the next section.

How to Use the Slideshow Feature in the Photos App

When you launch the Photos app, you will notice a Start Slideshow icon in the All Photos section next to the filters option. Click on it to begin the slideshow. Alternatively, you can press the F5 key to start the slideshow.

The slideshow will continue playing in the background even if you click on the music icon. You can press the Spacebar or click on the Pause icon to stop it.

By default, the app will apply transitions, music, animation, and a loop to the slideshow. To adjust any of these features, hover on the slideshow and click on the Music icon. Now, you can enable or disable any of the four toggles to add or remove the effect from the slideshow.

By default, you are stuck with a basic zoom-in animation effect, a fade-out transition, and an auto-loop option. The only customizable feature is the background music where you can choose tracks from multiple categories.

If you want to adjust the volume of the slideshow, you can hover on the speaker icon and use the slider bar . It doesn’t affect the system volume settings. Click on the speaker icon or press the M key to mute the slideshow.

If you want to resize the slideshow window, click on the resize icon. Now, snap the window to the left or right side. To close the slideshow click on the Exit Slideshow button in the top-left corner.

What Is the Spot Fix Feature?

Spot fix feature can remove spots or objects from any image. Think of it as an eraser tool that factors in the background color and nearby elements. It deletes the selected spot or object and tries to blend the empty space with the color scheme or pattern of the nearby objects.

So, you don’t need to blur areas in an image before sending it to others. The end result is flawless (in most cases with simple backgrounds). Still, you don’t have to send partially blurred images which sparks more curiosity about what was blurred. A simpler use case is to remove spots from the face.

How to Use the Spot Fix Feature in the Photos App

Double-click on any photo in the app to open it in a new window. Now, press Ctrl + E or click on the Edit icon to switch to the image editing window. Click on the Retouch option to open the Spot Fix tool.

Now, click on the area which you want to remove using the tool. If you want to increase the size of the tool, adjust the size slider present on the right side. You may have to use the spot fix on an area (textured or patterns) multiple times to get it right.

We tried deleting some taskbar icons from an image and the tool worked perfectly. But it also struggled in some areas, where transparency effects were in action. However, with a real-world image of an ice cream cone the tool somewhat struggled to do a convincing spot fix. So, the end result depends on the number of objects, shapes, patterns, and colors in an image.

Another gripe with the Spot Fix feature is that you cannot select an area in an image. You are left with the maximum size of the tool only. The circular size of the tool makes it difficult to tackle the corners of the object you want to remove from the image.

Other Improvements in the Photos App

The app reintroduces the Timeline Scrollbar using which you can quickly view photos added in a particular month or year. Microsoft also added the timeline scrollbar in the Gallery section of the File Explorer which is also in the experimental stage.

Earlier, you could use the Auto Enhance feature to improve image quality after downloading an add-on. Now the feature is already included in the new version of the Photos app thus removing the hassle of downloading an add-on.

If you want to select consecutive photos, hold the Shift key and click on images. It is a faster way to select multiple images without having to click on each one of them. For non-consecutive photo selection, you can use the Ctrl key.

A Much-Needed Overhaul for Photos on Windows 11

Microsoft Photos never captured the interest of users until this update came around. The ability to organize photo collection, add a captivating slideshow, and image editing features make it a competent photo editing app.

How to get started with new Photos app on Windows 11

If you are new to the Photos app, here's everything you need to know to get started.

On Windows 11 , Photos is the default app to organize and manage your pictures and videos. The app has previously received a refresh to update the aesthetics for the new version of the operating system. However, Microsoft has released yet another update that further updates the design and makes it easier to view, find, organize, and edit all your media files, whether locally stored on your computer or in the cloud.

The only caveat is that starting with this version, Microsoft is removing the video editing capabilities as the company now wants you to use its Clipchamp app. However, as the company removes legacy features, it's also bringing new ones, such as integration to iCloud in addition to OneDrive to allow iPhone and iPad users to manage their pictures from a single experience. 

This guide will help you to get started with the Photos app on Windows 11.

How to navigate the Photos app

The new Photos app comes with a new interface that implements the new design visuals available on Windows 11, such as mica material, rounded corners, a centered search feature, and a navigation pane on the left side with the option to collapse or expand the menu.

In the previous version, the navigation pane was at the top. Now, the pane is on the left side, allowing you to quickly navigate your media files available on OneDrive, iCloud, or locally stored on the computer. 

You can also find an option to view all the pictures you marked as favorites.

At the bottom-left side, you will notice information about your OneDrive account, including storage usage and an option to lure you into purchasing more space.

If you have any external storage, they will be listed under the "External Devices" section.

Finally, if the navigation pane is taking up a lot of space, you can use the gripper on the right to change the size. Or you can click the hamburger button on the top-left to collapse or expand the pane.

At the top, the Photos app has its search function that looks and works pretty much the same as the search feature in the Microsoft Store app. However, this feature doesn't seem to support search preview, as you need to press the "Enter" key to see the result.

Next to the Search box, you will also find two options, including Import to import images from external devices and the option to access the Photos settings.

Toolbar 

The Photos command bar includes options to sort by criteria like recently added, date taken, date modified, and name. You can filter your media by photos and videos, change the preview size, and select settings.

Pictures 

The app no longer includes a timeline scroller on the right in this new version. Instead, as you scroll down through your library, in the top-left, you will see a sub-heading with the time range of the images you're viewing.

By default, the images include attributes, which are icons that indicate some basic information about the file. For example, you will see a badge icon in the top-left corner of the preview indicating if the file is a video format or the item is stored in a cloud service like OneDrive or iCloud.

You can always right-click an image to access the different actions through the context menu, such as open, print, copy path, share, move, rename, and delete.

Alternatively, the command bar will show additional actions as you select the file, such as undoing the selection, uploading the file to OneDrive, moving, sharing, and deleting.

How to show or hide OneDrive images in the Photos app

On Windows 11, the Photos app can show your image gallery from OneDrive, but you can always decide whether to hide or show your cloud gallery.

Hide OneDrive

To hide your OneDrive pictures in the Photos app, use these steps:

• Open  Photos .
• Click the  Settings  (gear) button in the top-right corner.
• Under the "OneDrive Accounts" section, turn off the  OneDrive  toggle switch to stop showing cloud pictures.

Once you complete the steps, you will only be able to view the images locally stored on your computer.

Show OneDrive

To show your OneDrive pictures in the Photos app, use these steps:

• Under the "OneDrive Accounts" section, turn on the  OneDrive  toggle switch to stop showing cloud pictures.

After you complete the steps, you will be able to browse your pictures stored in OneDrive.

How to add or remove local folders in the Photos app

Instead of using the settings page, the Photos app now includes a separate page to add or remove local folders with images.

Add a folder 

To a folder with pictures to Photos, use these steps:

• Click on  Folders .
• Click the  Add a folder  button. (The big button or the option in the top-right.)

• Select the folder.
• Click the  Select Folder  button.

Once you complete the steps, the folder will be available under the "Folder" section from the navigation pane.

Remove a folder 

To remove a folder location from Photos, use these steps:

• Right-click the folder and select the  Remove folder  option.

After you complete the steps, the folder will no longer be available in the gallery.

How to import images from external sources in the Photos app

The Photos app can import images from other devices, such as your camera, phone, and memory cards.

To import images from external storage, connect the device to the computer, and use these steps:

• Click the storage from the left navigation page. (You can also click the Import button in the top-right corner.)
• Select the images or check the  Select  option.
• Click the  Add button.

• Click the  Change  button. 

• Quick note:  This step is important because, by default, the Photos will upload the images to OneDrive.
• Select the location to import the files.
• Quick tip:  You can use the "Create folder" button to keep the newly imported images separate.
• Click the  Confirm  button.

• Click the  Import  button.

Once you complete the steps, the pictures will import to the location you specified.

How to customize the experience in the Photos app

As part of the customization options, the Photos app allows you to change the color mode, disable attributes, change deletion preferences, and add codecs for new video and image formats.

Change color mode

To change the color mode of the Photos app, use these steps:

• Under the "Personalization" section, use the  "Customize theme"  setting to change the color mode to  Light  or  Dark .

After you complete the steps, the app will change the color mode to the selected color.

Hide image cloud icon

To hide the attribute icons (video, OneDrive, and iCloud) from the image preview, use these steps:

• Under the "Personalization" section, turn off the  "Show gallery title attributes"  setting to hide the image attribute icons, such as OneDrive, iCloud, video, etc.

Once you complete the steps, the image previews will appear without attributes.

Disable delete confirmation 

To delete images without confirmation from the Photos app, use these steps:

• Under the "Personalization" section, turn off the  "Ask for permission to delete photos"  setting to delete images without confirmation.

After you complete the steps, you won't get the confirmation dialog every time you delete a picture.

Install the HEIF extension 

To view the new generation of images, you will need to download the HEIF extension with these steps:

• Under the "Accessibility" section, click the  "Get HEIF media extension"  button.

• In the Microsoft Store, click the  Install  button.

If the Microsoft Store shows the paid version of the HEIF, use  this link to the HEVC extension  that installs the codes to view .heif images and H.265 videos. If you still can't view the .heif photo, use  this Microsoft Store page to install the extension .

How to switch to the legacy version of the Photos app

If the new app is not for you, it's possible to switch to the legacy version that includes video editing capabilities.

To switch to the legacy version of Photos, use these steps:

• Under the "About" section, click the  "Get Photos Legacy"  button.
• Continue with the on-screen directions (if applicable).

Once you complete the steps, the legacy app will install and replace the new version.

How to connect iCloud to the Photos app

In addition to showing images from OneDrive, the new version of the Photos app also integrates with the Apple iCloud service.

To connect your iCloud account to the Photos app, use these steps:

• Click on  iCloud Photos.
• Click the  "Get iCloud for Windows"  button (if applicable).

• Click the  Get  button.

• Click the  "Open iCloud for Windows"  button from the Photos app.
• Sign in with your iCloud account.

Once you complete the steps, your photos and videos from iCloud will be available from the Photos app on Windows 11.

Hide iCloud from Photos

If you don't have an iCloud account or this feature isn't for you, it's possible to remove (hide) iCloud integration from the Photos app.

To remove the iCloud integration from Photos, use these steps:

• Under the "Personalization" section, turn off the  "Show iCloud Photos"  toggle switch to hide the feature.

Once you complete the steps, you will no longer see the iCloud option in the navigation pane.

How to view and edit an image in the Photos app

To use the basic editing tool from the Photos app, use these steps:

• Open the location of the image.
• Double-click the picture or right-click the file to access the  Open  option from the context menu, which includes other options, such as opening the file with File Explorer, sharing, copying, printing, and more.

• Click the  Edit  button.

While on the editing page, you can use the rotating tools (including the slider and buttons) at the bottom of the app to rotate or flip the image. You can use the cropping tool to crop a portion of the image. 

The  Adjustment  tool lets you control light (such as brightness, exposure, and contrast) and color (like saturation, warmth, and tint).

Most Windows 11 updates seem to break things. I went in and did a system restore and everything worked fine again.

Do they even test the junk updates that they send?

It's called Photos Legacy, if you do not put title this way around you will not find it! Just found out.

Thanks. Typical Microsoft... change and remove functionality just for change's sake. This is why half my machines run Linux now. No IOS for me but then it's the Microsoft move to become more like Apple and IOS that pushes me more and more to Linux or other options.

I have downloaded and installed Photos Legacy, so I can now run a slideshow. However, I cannot alter the interval between photos in the slideshow. Is there any way to do this, please? I have tried F11 but this does not work. I have also tried a right click, also settings. Nowhere can I find where to change the interval.
