14 August Speech in English for Pakistan Independence Day

Today I am going to consecrate my words to my homeland in the form of a 14 August Speech in English for Pakistan Independence Day. “14th August” is the day of the Independence of Pakistan and the day to stand up together singing the national anthem and raising the sound proclaiming that ‘we are Pakistani’. Yes of course! This is a devotional day for all Pakistani nationals not only in Pakistan but also for those Pakistanis who are sitting in abroad countries. The reason is that Pakistan is our unique recognition on the map of the world. The reason is before the formation of a separate country for sub-continental Muslims; no one respects the real religious rights of Muslims. One of the big issues between Hindus and Muslims was the difference between their living styles, their rituals, their foods as well as their litanies. If Muslims use to eat cow meat the Hindus use to adore the cow. Muslims bow before Allah and Hindus bow before stones (Baghwan). Moreover, Hindus were superior in amount while Muslims were few and helpless. So in these hurdles, one man sees a dream of Independence and aims to make his dream come true. So, after a lot of effort and sacrifices, Pakistan came into being.

The one who saw the dream of Pakistan was Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal (The Poet of the East). At that time Muhammad Ali Jinnah (Quaid-e-Azam) was a student and a member of the Indian National Congress. But after listing this dream and when he realized that Congress was just supporting Hindus and neglecting Muslims, he joined the All India Muslim League. The entrance of this hero to this party was a massive turnaround for Muslims.

Sir Syed Ahmed Khan did a great job. Sir Syed advised Muslims to learn English so that the British can understand that they are not against them. He organized schools and colleges where Muslims were independently allowed to take admitted and study English. Afterwards, when Muslims got educated they were allowed to apply for jobs. Through this, Muslims were able to get jobs and it helped them a lot.

At the start, Muhammad Ali Jinnah was in supporting the narrative that the British should leave the country and give it to Muslims and Indians who can live here in peace. But later he realized that it is impossible for them to live together. So, he raised his voice for the separation of both nations and demanded the British to leave the country and before leaving, divide both nations and make two countries for them. Following continues hard work and sacrifices, Pakistan came into existence in 1947. On the 14th of August, a new country came into existence and it is called Pakistan. When it was announced that all the Muslims of Sub Continent will migrate from India to Pakistan, Hindus start killing them openly. But in the end, Muslims got their homeland.

14 August , Independence Day of Pakistan

speech on 14 august independence day in english

14th August, is our INDEPENDENCE DAY and it means a day when we had got freedom not only from our ruthless rulers but freedom from humiliation. At this day we got our own identity and our own valves. Pakistan came into being in 1947 as a sovereign state. 14th August is a day when, efforts of our national heroes are appreciated and celebrated and a day when we get our name and respect. Being Muslims we have our own values, traditions and religion. We Muslims celebrate this day with complete satisfaction and pleasure of being in a separate region where we enjoy freedom of living in every way. Pakistan is a democratic parliamentary federal Islamic republic state. Pakistan has its four provinces, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The day is a national holiday in Pakistan and is celebrated all over the country with flag raising ceremonies, tributes to the national heroes and fireworks taking place in the capital, Islamabad. President and prime minister delivers speeches and in the speech, the leaders highlight the achievements of the government, goals set for the future and in the words of the father of the nation, Quaid-i-Azam, bring "Unity, Faith and Discipline" to its people. Day starts with flag raising ceremonies in the Capital city Islamabad and so in all major cities in Pakistan. March parade and exchange of guard’s ceremonies takes place on the Quaid-i-Azam’s mausoleum.

People of Pakistan, on this national holiday visit national monuments like MINAR-e-PAKISTAN which fully lit to commemorate the independence of Pakistan from the British Empire. At WAHGA-BORDER flag raising ceremonies takes place while everybody stands quiet and motionless in the honor of "NATIONAL ANTHEM" after that, military parade gets stars.

Names of people like Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan are always written in golden words in the history of Pakistan. Muhammad Ali Jinnah also known as Quaid-e-Azam is the real founder of Pakistan. Allama Iqbal, with his enthusiastic poetry, motivated Muslims to think and earn their own nationality and name in the world. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, brought Muslim nation forward and made schools and colleges for Muslims so that they may come to know how to fulfill the latest demands of the advance age.

People gave sacrifices of their lives for independence because they could not follow Islam independently and could not perform their religious duties properly in sub – continent. They were punished or disturbed when they perform their religious duties. It offended Muslims but as they were weak nation, they could not do anything. Pakistan came into being after the sacrifices of countless lives. Many of our ancestors lost their lives only for the freedom of their imminent generations, for the sake of independent land where all the Muslims can offer their religious duties with their own wish and freedom.

As citizens of free Pakistan, we must reflect on the values and principles which were in the minds and hearts of those who fought and sacrificed for our freedom. They portrayed inspiration from the values nurtured in the country through ages. Now we are living as an independent nation, which is enjoying all the beauties, charismas of their own homeland. Being an independent and self-respective nation, it’s our duty to serve our country with our best. We should work whole heartedly and with complete devotion for the development of our beloved homeland, we should not forget the sacrifices of our ancestors and national leaders whole made this land happen as an unrestricted territory for us to live. It’s the time to work with that passion which was in the bloods of our national heroes who fought for our freedom; it’s the time for the strong commitment with us for the betterment of our holy land. We should not compromise on our integrity and would not let our freedom and integrity being used by other dominant powers in the world. At this independent day let we rethink about our plans, our actions and their outcomes. We all should pray at this day of best for our pious land and promise ourselves that we would not let any harm on it and will work for its defense till the day of our last breath.

God bless our sacred land, God bless our Pakistan! Ameen. Happy Independence Day

Top 5 Speech On Independence day (14th August) Speech No- 1 | 14, August

Respected sir and my compatriots!

Our homeland Pakistan is not like other lands of the world, which are inherited by its citizens but Pakistan is the country, for which Muslims of Combined India served their bones as bricks and their blood as water, to set the bases for Pakistan.

Only those can judge the true value of this inestimable creation who himself has participated in building this country, and sacrificed his wife, children, sisters, brothers, and all his blood relations. To achieve this sacred land, millions of Muslims met martyrdom.

Countless children were killed in front of their mothers and lots of families were burnt inside their houses. Many virtuous women jumped into wells and canals and cast their lives just to build up Pakistan. Countless children got orphaned and missed their parents for whole their lives.

Valleys of Pakistan are containing congruences of paradise. Beautiful green landscapes and spacious farms are spitting the gold.

We also see that we are rich in every kind of freedom and facility but do not ever forget that in making this come true, there is part of the blood of Tipu Sultan, the vision of Sir Syed, and the thoughts of Allama Iqbal, untiring struggles of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and endeavors of many other companions of M. A. Jinnah. And everyone was aligned to achieve a single goal – a free and independent Islamic State: Pakistan.

14 AUGUST 1947 was the auspicious day of Islamic history when Pakistan, the God-Gifted country came into being.

The unity of Muslims and the dedication and heartiness of Quaid e Azam were the things that paved the way for the creation of this country. Hindus and Britishers deceitfully campaigned and created hindrances against the movement of Pakistan but Alhamdulillah Pakistan had to be done and It appeared on the map of the world. At that time, there was only one slogan of

Enemies vigorously ridiculed the demand of Quaid e Azam for a separate free land, though the demand of Pakistan was based on right, reality, and truth and right finally prevails. The reality, it couldn’t get acclaimed sooner or later, it is not a reality but if it does then that reality is a REALITY.

And all filthy intentions of enemies went in vain before the reality of Pakistan and today Pakistan is known as one of the great nations in the world.

My compatriots! We have to love Pakistan. We admire the founders and the dreamer and thinkers of Pakistan and we also pray for martyrs who lost their lives in the movement of Pakistan. Those who sacrificed their homes and families against British rulers.

They didn’t care for their children and accepted the hardships of prison. And finally when Muslims of South East Asia got freedom, right prevailed and falsehood surrendered. And the chains of slavery collapsed!

Nature has gifted Pakistan with every kind of wealth and blessing. We have an abundance of streams, rivers, and lakes which are irrigating our lands. We have skillful, lusty, and ambitious Pakistani youths. We have the best in the world Pakistani army and war strategists.

Wheat, cotton, oil, and rice, everything is grown in Pakistan and is exported as well. Pakistan has a rich depository of minerals such as salt, coal, kerosene oil, gypsum, and zamarud stones. Research work is in progress and Insha Allah there will be a day when we will also be self-sufficient in oil as well.

Pakistan is now taking part in international affairs and willing for friendship with its neighbor countries. Pakistan is seeking trading and cultural relationships with other countries.

Special settlements are being considered with Islamic countries, and Pakistan is eager to build relationships with any country that is endeavoring for peace and prosperity.

Pakistan believes in peace but still, it is our duty to hold enough strength for defending our motherland. By the grace of ALLAH, Pakistan is an atomic power today. May ALLAH make every Pakistani more loving of this country. AMEEN!

Top 5 Independence Day of Pakistan Speech No 2 in English

Independence is truly no lesser than a great blessing. You can freely feel a sense of independence and freedom while breathing in the fresh air. We all stand protected because of this independence.

Dear Sir, before we move ahead to discuss what is to be done for tomorrow, it is mandatory to shed some light on the hard work, dedication, struggles, and endeavors of our forefathers in the great cause of Independence. The efforts of Quaid, the struggles of Iqbal, the preaching of Sir Syed, and the efforts of thousands of Muslim freedom fighters from all walks of life can never ever be ignored.

One wonders how come in the old day’s such unity, disciplined efforts, and dedication in the face of two giant forces, the British and Hindus, our true leaders could achieve and that all brought us to Pakistan. True it is, behind all of those sacrifices and struggles for unity and free land was the blessing of Almighty Allah.

Today’s 14th of August marks the 75th anniversary of our Independence. In the debilitating journey of 75 years, we suffered many strokes, and various conspiracies were hatched to undo the glorious event of 1947, here the governance was destabilized, and our economy was strangulated.

We were made politically paralyzed, and socially isolated, and every possible effort was made to make us comply with international dictations but we still survive. We have to identify and stand against all of those odds to make our country strong and superior.

Dear sir, It is quite disheartening to state that our land is facing numerous challenges. Poverty, terrorism, unemployment, youth frustrations, resource mismanagement, and corruption are to name a few. The challenges are unending. So it should be our strategy.

To our youth brothers and sisters sitting here, we have to work out against all of these challenges. Being guardians of freedom we are responsible for working for tomorrow.

The hard tasks always require great sacrifices. We have to stand against all of those big problems being faced by our motherland. Dear sir, given the enormous degree of challenges ahead, the things we need are unity, discipline, and faith. We have to preserve and propagate national integration throughout every corner of our country.

We have to stay disciplined in our efforts and struggles for the progress of our country. And the last thing that we need is to have firm faith in Almighty Allah. Surely, with all the efforts given, we shall stand victorious. This day comes every year to remind us of our true status, identity, prestige, and power. Today merely chanting slogans don’t suffice for us.

There lies a higher responsibility on our shoulders. We have to discharge our duties diligently in order to get rid of incessant crises and uncertainties.

Let’s help our brothers, our sisters, and help our countrymen selflessly. Let’s stand against, injustice, ignorance, anarchy, poverty, corruption, and unemployment. Let’s work, let’s unite, let’s turn into such a sublime and solid entity that should embitter and spoil every nefarious tactic of our faceless foes.

Speech No: 3 Top 5 Independence Day of Pakistan, 14 August 2021

The word freedom symbolizes freedom of thought, intention, and action. It is after a lot of hard work that we are breathing freely here as free, respectable, and law-abiding citizens of Pakistan. It is the freedom that you have full control over what you do and what you do and what you stand for, keeping in mind the law of this country.

Pakistan is a gift. It is a gift given to us because of the sacrifices of hundreds of freedom fighters who chose to live freely and to protect their future generations. The value of freedom can only be gauged when you are in shackles. We have thousands of examples from around the world. From one end of the world to the other, the world is still full of all kinds of slavery and injustice.

Dear Sir, We all know, the reason for commemorating is August 14. We stand here for the leaders who gave us this free land as a gift. We got this land after decades of tireless struggle.

Quaid-e-Azam, Iqbal, Sir Syed Ahmed, Liquate Ali, and like-minded leaders have been our real heroes who did not choose to bow to the demands and conspiracies of British and Hindu domination. Our generations will be grateful for the blood of these leaders.

Dear Sir, Pakistan as a state will stand proudly on the unity of the nations. We have faced many blows and dozens of conspiracies against our motherland. Since Independence Day, we have been struggling and struggling against all kinds of evils. Thankfully, we are here in accordance with the principles of unity, discipline, and faith, after all, we are in good shape.

And I assure you that we are here, and we will be here after thousands of conspiracies as free, free, and fair land. Dear listeners here, we as a nation are facing a lot of challenges. It is frustrating to say that we have so many problems.

Law and order is at stake in different parts of our home. We face problems of corruption, mismanagement of resources, illiteracy, and unemployment.

The only thing we have left is unity, hard work, and strong faith. We have to save our land from all these evils. United do better than we do. There is a great responsibility on the shoulders of our youth. Respect for all here, in the end, I state and urge everyone to remain active for great national responsibility.

We need to work day and night to make this land a peaceful, prosperous, and happy life. Inshallah, the day is not far when we will be victorious against all these challenges.

Best Emotional Speech No: 4 Pak Independence Day 2021 14 August

Freedom is the name of justice, freedom, equality, peace, and tranquility. And this freedom is thankful that today we are in this holy land of Pakistan. There is a good price behind every blessing. This is the kind of freedom we are enjoying in Pakistan today. It has come with many sacrifices and decades of struggle. There is blood, labor, sacrifices, and countless other things.

It is an open secret that before independence we were slaves of the British in United India. Our rights and responsibilities were under unprecedented attack. Congratulations to the leaders whose efforts gave us a country like Pakistan.

Iqbal’s efforts, the hard work of Quaid-e-Azam, and countless other independent stars have passed successfully and what we have today is fresh and free to breathe and live according to our principles, rules, cultures, and values.

History is a good lesson. It really reminds us of our true value, dignity, and power. The history of the Muslim struggle under United India is a clear testimony to the fact that the struggle of the Muslims is the real desire of the Muslims for a real and independent state. Pakistan came into existence as a result of the Pakistan Movement; the Pakistan Movement aimed for creation of an independent Muslim state by division of the north-western region of the South Asia and was led by All-India Muslim League under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The event was brought forth by the Indian Independence Act 1947 in which the British Indian Empire gave independence to the Dominion of Pakistan (later the Islamic Republic of Pakistan) which included the West Pakistan (present Pakistan) and East Pakistan (now Bangladesh).

In the Islamic calendar, the day of independence coincided with Ramadan 27, the eve of which is regarded as sacred by Muslims. The main ceremony takes place in Islamabad, where the national flag is hoisted at the Presidential and Parliament buildings, which is followed by the national anthem, and live televised speeches by leaders.

“Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but the Muslim ideology which has be preserved which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which we hope other will share with us”. Muhammad Ali Jinnah

The Indo-Pak subcontinent remained a British colony from 1849–1947. The subcontinent’s inhabitants did not approve of the British rule in united India. An uprising that occurred in 1857 eventually formed the shape of a freedom movement, which exemplifies the efforts of the people of British India in gaining their independence.

Muslims ruled the subcontinent before the British incursion and suffered due to the 1857 uprising against the British East India Company. Leaders such as Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and Syed Ameer Ali worked diligently for the Muslim people’s political advancement.

The Indian National Congress was formed in 1885, which later on became British India’s largest political party. Major Muslim political leaders, including Muhammad Ali Jinnah, were members of the Indian National Congress and worked towards Hindu-Muslim unity and India’s independence.

The All India Muslim League was founded on December 30, 1906. There was growing demand for an independent Muslim state in India. In 1930 Muhammad Iqbal presented the idea of a separate Muslim state that would geographically consist of the Muslim majority areas in the subcontinent. The word Pakistan is a conjunction of two words Pak meaning Pure and Stan meaning Land, a name coined by Choudhary Rahmat Ali.

Strong Hindu nationalism gave birth to the Two Nation Theory, an ideology that is accredited as being the basis for Pakistan’s creation. In 1940 the Pakistan Resolution was passed in Lahore demanding greater Muslim autonomy in British India.

In conclusion, the 14th of August is a date of immense significance for Pakistanis around the world. As students, let’s use this day to take the time to think about our obligations to our nation and to work towards fulfilling those obligations. We must strive to be leaders who positively contribute to the development of our nation. Happy Independence Day!

Pakistan Independence Day – 14th August 2024 Essay (New- Urdu)

Long Speech On 14 Aug Independence Day for College Students

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed teachers, and my dear classmates,

14th August Speech in English for students

The word Independence refers to the freedom of mind, intent and action. Because of long-term experience, we’re breathing free as respected, independent and law-abiding residents of Pakistan. Freedom lets you ultimately control the things you do, what you do and where you do it, taking into consideration the laws of the land.

Pakistan is a fantastic gift. It’s a gift that is ours thanks to the sacrifices of thousands of fighters for freedom who decided to be free and also to defend their children’s future. The value and worth of liberty can only be assessed when you are in a bind. There are thousands of examples across the globe. From one end of the world, the world is still full of inhumane treatment and slavery of every kind. We respect you, Sir. All of us know there is a reason for the celebration of 14th August to commemorate the injustices of our time.

We gather here to pay tribute to the leaders who gave us this land for free. Land. The endless struggle that lasted throughout the years after we received this land. The leaders, such as Quaid Azam Iqbal Iqbal, Sir Syed Ahmed, Liaqat Ali and the like, are our heroes for choosing not to bow to the demands and machinations of British and Hindu supremacy. Generations of us will be eternally grateful for the bloodshed of these leaders.

Dear Sir, Pakistan as a state will continue to be a beacon of gratitude for the friendship of nations. Unfortunately, we’ve suffered several injuries and numerous conspiracy against our country. Since Independence in 2000, we’ve been fighting evils of all kinds. However, we are grateful that, according to the principles of discipline, unity, and faith, we’re in the present, standing proudly behind all.

Let me assure you that we’re here and here to stay as a free, independent and fair land even after all the conspiracy theories. As a country, the well-known public faces various problems here. It’s pretty depressing to say that we are faced with myriad issues. Law and order in different areas of our country are in danger. There are issues of corruption, resource mismanagement, illiteracy, and unemployment.

The only thing we’ve left is unification, hard work and faith in God. We must protect our nation from all these problems. The more United we become, the more secure we are. A lot of the responsibility falls on those of us children. Thank you to everyone who has been here. Ultimately, I encourage everyone to be active in the pursuit of great national responsibility. We must work hard all day and night to make our country peaceful, contributing to world peace, prosperity, and a happy life. Insha Allah, the day is not too far away when we will triumph over all the challenges.

14 august speech in urdu and English Speech for Independence Day

Who knew that day. Of 14th of August, Will tell the world in a way, That both East and West, Would come to know that there stands, A country named Pakistan, A lovely place, with sacred lands. And a home for a Musalman, A Quaid’s effort, a Poet’s dream, And a struggle of a human flood, A new beginning beyond a stream, Filled with Muslim blood.

14th August is a common date like other dates of the English calender for nations but for the Pakistani nation, this date is the most remarkable day in the history of Pakistan. Pakistan came into being on 14th August according to the English calendar while according to the Islamic calendar, it was the 27th of Ramadan when Allah blessed Muslims with the pious homeland. 27th Ramadan has religious importance as the revelation of Holy Quran on Holy Prophet {P.B.U.H.} finished this month. The word “ Pakistan “ is made by combining two words “ pak “ and “ stan “. Pak means pious and stan means homeland. Therefore, the meaning of Pakistan is the homeland of pious people.

People gave sacrifices of their lives for independence because they could not follow Islam independently and could not perform their religious duties properly in sub–continent. They were punished or disturbed when they perform their religious duties. It offended Muslims but as they were a weak nation, they could not do anything.

Names of people like Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan are always written in golden words in the history of Pakistan. Muhammad Ali Jinnah is also known as Quaid-e-Azam is the real founder of Pakistan. Allama Iqbal, who excited Muslims to earn their own nationality and name in the world. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, who brought Muslim nation forward and made schools and colleges for Muslims so that they may come to know how to fulfill the latest demands of the advanced age.

Pakistan came into being after the sacrifices of countless lives. Many mothers lost their sons, many wives lost their husbands and many children lost their fathers and then Pakistan came into being. People gave sacrifices of their lives so that next generations may not face any difficulty and may live a safe life.

Pakistan was got for creating an environment just as it was in the period of Hazrat Umer { R.A. } when He took rounds of the streets in darkness for becoming sure that no one is hungry. Pakistan was got for creating such an environment where ladies will come outside by covering their bodies as it is ordered in the Holy Quran. Pakistan was got for creating such an environment where males like Hazrat Hussain { R.A. } may bear who will offer prayers and read Holy Quran whether their necks may separate from their bodies.

Quaid e Azam the Father of Nation said to the people of Pakistan in his address in Ziarat that “Making of Pakistan was a difficult task; I could never have accomplished it alone. It was the Roohani Faiz of Rasul Allah(sa) that Pakistan came into Being. Now it is the responsibility of every Pakistani to make it an example of Khilafat-e-Rashida” [Ziarat, 1948].

We must celebrate 14th August as it is our independence day. We should celebrate 14th August by thanking to Allah by going to Mosques instead of celebrating this day in music parties this day. We should celebrate this day by brightening our hearts with the light of the teachings of Islam. It is not an important fact whether we lighten homes or not with lights. Its time to be practical and show our love towards our dear homeland by doing something which may bring Pakistan on the road of success without waiting for anyone who may join us.

Jinnah in His first broadcasting for the nation of Pakistan “August 15 is the birthday of the independent and sovereign state of Pakistan. It marks the fulfillment of the destiny of the Muslim nation which made great sacrifices in the past few years to have its homeland.”

Outlining the purpose of the creation of Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam said in a speech to the officers of the Defence Service on October 11, 1947, that the establishment of Pakistan was only a “means to an end and not the end in itself. The Idea was that we should have a state in which we could live and breathe as free men and which we could develop according to our own lights and culture and where principles of Islamic social justice could find free play.”
