It reminds the Indian citizens of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to free our country from the tyranny of the British. It also inspires them to be humble and value the freedom and independence they have attained after much struggle.

The Indian national flag is referred to as Tiranga as it consists of three colours -Saffron, White and Green. The saffron colour on the top symbolizes indifference which means our leaders must remain indifferent towards materialistic things. Serving the nation should be on the top of their priority list and they must do their work selflessly. The white colour in the middle represents truth and purity which means we must always follow the path of truth and right conduct. The green colour at the bottom symbolizes soil and nature and reminds us to stay grounded to our roots.

The Ashoka Chakra printed in the middle of the flag on the white portion is a symbol of the law of Dharma. It means that Dharma or virtue must be the main guiding principles of those who serve the nation. It is also a symbol of motion and inspires to keep moving in life irrespective of the challenges and hardships.

History of the Indian National Flag

It was Mahatma Gandhi who came up with the idea of a flag for the Indian National Congress in the year 1921 when the struggle for Indian independence was still going on. The flag had a spinning wheel printed in the middle as it symbolized Bapu’s goal of making the citizens of India self-reliant by spinning and fabricating clothes. The design of the flag evolved and improvised with time. On India’s independence, the flag was modified further and the spinning wheel was replaced by the Ashoka Chakra that is the eternal wheel of law.

Code of Indian National Flag

The citizens of India are expected to respect and keep the honour of the national flag of the country. A set of rules have been put in place against the mistreatment of the national flag. Some of these are as follows:

• Flying the Tiranga made of any material other than Khadi or hand-spun cloth is punishable by law.
• The flag can be carried during processions but must be borne only on the right shoulder of the bearer. Secondly, it must always be carried in front of the procession.
• The flag must always be held high and not lowered before anything.
• No other flag can be placed above the Tri-colour neither can it be placed to its right.
• Whenever the flag is in a moving column, the people present must stand in attention position and pay respect by saluting as it passes them.
• The flag must be flown at half mast to signify mourning. It is flown half mast across the nation in case of death of President, Vice-president and Prime Minister during their duty period.

Our National Flag is our pride. We must uphold its dignity even if it is at the cost of our lives. It must always flow high as it is a symbol of the freedom that was earned after years of struggle and sacrifices.

On 11 December 2023, the Indian Prime Minister launched the Viksit Bharat @2047 scheme via a video conferencing platform. In this video conference, he declared the formal launch of this scheme along with its four pillars: Yuva (Youth), Garib (Poor), Mahila (Women) and Kisan (Framers).

Viksit Bharat represents a blueprint for India’s development. It aims to achieve the ‘India Great’ target by the year 2047; which was termed as ‘Amrit Kaal’. To achieve the Viksit Bharat objectives, the Indian Prime Minister aims to enable every Indian citizen to participate in the country’s development at their own level. PM Modi’s vision is strong and sustainable, where every individual will be offered decent living standards and an opportunity to serve their mother country. 

The government is encouraging investors to invest in India for advanced economic growth in the subsequent years. The sub-schemes launched under this mission show the government’s dedication to creating a favourable environment for economic growth and business development.

The government is constantly encouraging the youth to actively participate in the government’s schemes and engage in entrepreneurial activities. With schemes like Startup India, Made in India, and Digital India, more and more people are encouraged to participate in the government’s plans for India’s development.

Short Essay on My Favourite Festival Diwali 

Diwali is My favourite Festival. It is celebrated in October or November. It is celebrated to honour Lord Ram. 

It is the Festival of lights. I celebrate it with My family every year. My mother makes tasty sweets during the Festival. We also do pooja during this time and everyone gives each other nice gifts. My sister and I light crackers with our neighbours. We all get together and have fun at night while bursting crackers.

People wear new and colourful clothes during this time. There are colourful decorations and lights everywhere during this Festival. We decorate our house as well. I also help My sister to make rangoli outside our house. And My father lights diyas and puts them in different places in the house. People also light different lamps and lanterns at their houses. 

During the time of pooja, our whole family comes to our house and we do the pooja together. We worship Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi and chant prayers to them. We thank them for keeping us safe and happy and pray to do the same in the future. After the pooja, a delicious dinner is cooked and sweets are served with it. Everyone loves eating good food during Diwali. 

There are rockets and other crackers being burst everywhere during this time. The sky is filled with bright pink, red, yellow, green, and other such colours. At night, the sky looks very beautiful as the crackers burst. Festive music is also played while lighting up the crackers. We also meet our friends and celebrate Diwali with them. We eat yummy food, light crackers, and dance together during this time. 

Diwali is My favourite Festival and it is very beautiful. I love celebrating it.

Cashless India is a mission launched by the Government of India led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reduce dependency of Indian economy on cash and to bring hoards of stashed black money lying unused into the banking system. The country embarked upon this transition to a cashless economy when the government took the revolutionary step of demonetization of old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 on November 08, 2016. This move was targeted at the fake currency circulating in Indian market and the black money that somehow escaped the radar of tax authorities.

Post demonetization acute shortage of currency in Banks and long queues outside ATMs, gradually turned people towards digital transactions, one of the prime requirements under cashless India. If the government succeeds in providing secure and fast digital payment methods to the consumers and merchant establishments across the nation, then the dream of India becoming a completely cashless economy will materialize.

The Union government’s demonetization initiative and the subsequent drive towards developing a cashless India have invited its share of both bricks and bouquets. There have been widespread protests organised by the opposition parties across the country against the cash crunch in the wake of ban on old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000.

However, the initial difficulties have subsided now and the people are beginning to realize the safe and convenient modes of digital payment. Moreover, to encourage the people to further go for cashless modes, the Narendra Modi Government has provided a slew of incentives and measures.

The latest World Bank report has mentioned that the demonetization will not have any long-term adverse effect on the health of Indian Economy. Rather it will prove beneficial with growth of the Indian economy rising to 7.6% in fiscal year 2018. Liquidity expansion in the banking system post-demonetization has helped the banks to lower lending rates, which in turn is bound to lift economic activity.

The Union government headed by PM Narendra Modi has moving towards realizing his vision for cashless India. Ever since demonetization of the old currency notes of Rs 500 and 1000, which was announced by it on November 8, 2016. Cashless India a term coined recently after the Union government went ahead with its plans to demonetize currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000. Initially, it led to severe criticism as people faced great difficulties in exchanging the old currency notes or withdrawing cash from their accounts.

According to the critics of the government, adequate arrangements should have made in advance to support the people in dealing with cash crunch in the wake of this move towards cashless India. Also, adequate security measures required to guard online transactions against fraud which is very common in India. They critics further argue that due to unavailability of required cash flow in the market, many people died and lost their jobs, painting a scary picture of India becoming cashless post-demonetization.

After demonetization of currency notes of Rs 500 and 1,000, country has witnessed surge in cashless transactions through digital mode. Through credit/debit cards, mobile phone applications, UPI, BHIM app under (AEPS) etc.

True, there are difficulties in implementing idea of cashless economy in a vast country. Like India where large number of people living under misery and poverty, yet beginning had to made someday. Today, there is sea change in mindset of people with regard to digital means of monetary dealings which are safe, easy, convenient and transparent. There is no place for black money or counterfeit currency in cashless India.

Cashless India Essay 5 (300 words)

Cashless India recently introduced phenomenon targeted to bring a sea change in country’s economy by Indian government.

However, still various challenges to addressed if we want to make India cashless in true sense. India is vast country and convenience of making transactions through the online mode is not available across country. In small cities and villages, the people are mostly suffering due to acute cash crunch situation. To make India cashless in true sense, investment required to made in enhancing the facility required on a mass scale for cashless transactions across country.

Handling the flow of cash with digital technology has a range of advantages. It have made people keep all their cash into the bank and hence liquidity in banking system has increased. Also, it has stopped the flow of black money, up to some extent. Now banks and financial institutions have more money to lend to the people to support growth of Indian economy. The other most important advantage is that this situation will make people pay their taxes in a transparent manner; hence the government will have more money to run various schemes meant for the welfare of the public.

Post-demonetisation, people have finally started believing in power of plastic money in form of credit card card, and other channels of electronic payment. Online banking has gained prominence due to unavailability of enough cash in the market. Moreover, E-commerce modes of making payments have also become popular. As most of people have now started making payments of even Rs 50 through the digital modes. All these developments considered to be good for the healthy growth of the economy.

Introduction

Cashless India is move assumed significance in backdrop of demonetisation of high value currency by NDA government at Centre. On November 8 2016, PM Narendra Modi announced demonetisation of currency notes of Rs 500 and 1000 and took people by surprise. • Increased liquidity of money with banks makes them lower their interest rates. However it puts the huge amounts of cash deposited with them to some productive use.
