Punjabi essay on “our national flag”, “ਸਾਡਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਝੰਡਾ” punjabi essay, paragraph, speech for class 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 students., ਸਾਡਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਝੰਡਾ, our national flag.

English Essay on “Our National Symbols” English Essay-Paragraph-Speech for Class 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 CBSE Students and competitive Examination.

Our National Symbols

Like every free country, our country also has many national symbols. The National flag, the National Anthem and the National Emblem are our most important and sacred symbols.

Our National Flag is the symbol of our freedom which has inspired the Indian people during the struggle for freedom. During the freedom struggle, the tricolored flag had a spinning wheel (Charka) in the center. When the tricolor flag was adopted as the National flag, the charka was replaced by the chakra (wheel).

The National flag is a horizontal tri-color. It has three bands of equal proportions. The upper band is of deep saffron color and the lower band is dark green. The middle band is white and has the Chakra in the navy blue in the center.

The Chakra represents the chakra on the high tower with lions built by Asoka in Saranath.

The National flag is hoisted on all important Government buildings in India and on all our Embassies in other countries.

It is our duty to honour and protect the National flag. We salute and respect our National flag.

Our National Anthem is Jana gana mane, an inspiring song composed by Rabindranath Tagore. The National Anthem is the symbol of our unity. It inspires the young and the old. it calls for a strong and United India. We honour and respect our National Anthem. We stand to attention when it is sung or its tune is played.

Every free nation has a National Emblem which represents the authority of the Government. Our National Emblem is found on all coins and currency notes. It appears also on many postal stamps. It can be scan on the documents and publications of the Government.

Our National emblem has also been taken from the Asoka Pillar at Baranath. There_ are three lions standing back to back. Below the lions is the chakra in the center, the same chakra appears on the National flag, To the left of the chakra is a bull and to the right a horse. Below the emblem is engraved the words ‘Satye meva Jayate’ in Devanagari script which means “Truth will triumph.”

Asoka was a lover of peace. We, the Indian people also love peace. Hence our government has adopted the figures horn the pillar at Saranath as our National emblem.

Punjab Reconsidered: History, Culture, and Practice

2 Language, the Nation, and Symbolic Capital: The Case Of Punjab

  • Published: March 2012
  • Cite Icon Cite
  • Permissions Icon Permissions

A movement to ‘revive’ the spirit of the Punjabi language, the Punjabiyat movement, has been catalyzed from within Pakistan — raising intriguing questions about language, nationalism, and the cultural basis of the nation-state. Although the Punjabiyat movement bears the surface features of a classical nationalist formation — insistence upon recovering an unfairly oppressed history and literature, one unique on earth and uniquely imbued with the spirit of the local people and the local land — its structural features differ markedly. Pakistan’s Punjab has long functioned as an ethnic hegemon, the centre against which other regions struggle in a search for power. Yet the Punjabiyat movement presents Punjab as an oppressed victim of Pakistan’s troubled search for national identity. This essay argues that a theory of symbolic capital best explains this otherwise peculiar inversion of perceived and actual power, and underscores culture’s critical role in the nation’s political imagination.

5+ Facts About The National Anthem In Punjabi

National Anthem In Punjabi_ling app_learn punjabi_ Raise Flag

The Indian national anthem, “Jana gana mana,” was first chosen as the national anthem in the year 1950 by the Constituent Assembly. Originally, it was from a Bengali song from a poem written by the famous Rabindranath Tagore. The Hindi version of the national anthem was later created, and then other Indian languages followed, including the National Anthem in Punjabi . Let’s get to know more about this in today’s post!

Before we dive deeper, let’s answer the fundamental question – what is a national anthem song? Simply put, a national anthem is a patriotic song that represents a country’s history, values, and challenges it has overcome. It’s a unique and powerful symbol that citizens are expected to respect and value, holding true to their nation’s laws and values. As we explore it in this post, it’s important to remember the role they play in uniting and inspiring a nation.

A national song, on the other hand, is certainly about the country but could be about anything and can be for any special occasion . For example, harvest songs, springtime songs, new year songs, or festival songs. They are all about the nation and its people. Now let’s look at the national song specially composed as an anthem in Punjabi.

What The National Anthem Conveys

The Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore wrote the English translation, which goes like this:

Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people,

Dispenser of India’s destiny.

Thy name rouses the hearts of the Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, and Maratha,

of the Dravida, Orissa, and Bengal.

It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas, mingles in the music of the Jamuna and Ganges

and is chanted by the waves of the Indian Sea.

They pray for thy blessings and sing thy praise.

The saving of all people waits in thy hand,

thou dispenser of India’s destiny.

Victory, Victory, Victory to thee.

Code Of Conduct

It’s important to pay respect to your country’s national anthem. Not only because it’s a symbol of India’s freedom from British rule and because Tagore’s powerful rendition captivated the prominent members of the congress and the house orchestra during its first performance, but also because it represents the unity of India and its people. To show respect, here are some things to keep in mind while the national anthem in Punjabi is being played:

  • All rise or stand up when the national anthem is played.
  • Hold your head up and keep your face straight.
  • Make sure the flag ceremony is accompanied by the anthem if there are a large number of people.
  • The national anthem in Punjabi or any of the other Indian languages must not be changed or edited.

Quick Facts About The Indian National Anthem

  • There is a short version consisting of the first and last lines of the anthem. By law, the full version is to be sung over 52 seconds.
  • The song was written and first sung in the year 1911 but was declared the national anthem only in 1950.
  • The Indian Constitution states that every citizen must abide by its laws and respect the ideals of the constitution, the laws, the National flag, and the National anthem.
  • Punjabis are very patriotic and have played incredible roles during wars.
  • There is also a Sikh National Anthem in Punjabi called Deh Shiva.
  • There were some controversies in the earlier days, saying that Tagore wrote the national anthem for King George V. To remove such doubts, Tagore wrote a letter to Mr Pulin Bihari Sen, an Indian revolutionary clarifying that this was indeed not true.
  • The Punjabi language was made the official state language in 1967, but the national anthem in Punjabi was probably written even before this as the language existed already.
