Ginna Review: రివ్యూ: జిన్నా..! మంచు విష్ణు నటించిన ఈ మూవీ ఎలా ఉందంటే?

వినోదం నిండిన యాక్షన్‌ కథాంశాలతో బాక్సాఫీస్‌ ముందు జోరు చూపించారు కథానాయకుడు మంచు విష్ణు. ఈ క్రమంలోనే ‘ఢీ’, ‘దేనికైనా రెడీ’, ‘పాండవులు పాండవులు తుమ్మెద’ వంటి విజయాలు అందుకున్నారు. అయితే మధ్యలో ప్రయోగాల పేరుతో రకరకాల చిత్రాలు చేసిన తను ఎలాగైనా హిట్టు మాట వినిపించాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో.. తనకి బాగా అచ్చొచ్చిన కామెడీ యాక్షన్‌ కథాంశంతో ‘జిన్నా’గా బాక్సాఫీస్‌ ముందుకొచ్చారు. దీనికి మోహన్‌బాబు స్వయంగా స్క్రీన్‌ప్లే అందించడం.. పాయల్‌, సన్నీ లియోన్‌ వంటి అందాల మెరుపులు తోడవడం.. వీటన్నింటికీ తోడు ప్రచార చిత్రాలు ఆసక్తికరంగా ఉండటంతో సినిమాపై ప్రేక్షకుల్లో అంచనాలు పెరిగాయి. మరి ఆ అంచనాలను ‘జిన్నా’ అందుకున్నాడా? (Ginna Review) మంచు విష్ణు ఖాతాలో విజయం చేరిందా?

కథేంటంటే: చిత్తూరు జిల్లాలోని రంగం పేటకు చెందిన గాలి నాగేశ్వరరావు కథ ఇది. ఎవరైనా అతన్ని పూర్తి పేరుతో పిలిస్తే అసలు సహించడు. షార్ట్‌కట్‌లో ‘జిన్నా’ అని పిలవమని చెబుతుంటాడు. తనకి ఊరంతా అప్పులే. అలా అప్పు చేసే, ఆ ఊళ్లో ఓ టెంట్‌ హౌస్‌ పెట్టుకుంటాడు. దురదృష్టం ఏంటంటే అతను ఏ పెళ్లి కాంట్రాక్ట్‌ తీసుకున్నా.. అది పెటాకులవుతుంటుంది. ఈ కారణంతోనే అతని టెంట్‌ సామాన్లను శుభకార్యాలకు వాడకూడదని, చావులకే వాడాలని తీర్మానం చేస్తాడు ఊరి ప్రెసిడెంట్‌ తిప్పేస్వామి (రఘుబాబు). అదే సమయంలో ఊళ్లోకి ఎంట్రీ ఇస్తుంది రేణుక (సన్నీ లియోన్‌). తనకి మాటలు రావు, చెవులు వినపడవు. ఆమె జిన్నాకు బాల్య స్నేహితురాలు. అనుకోని పరిస్థితుల్లో చిన్నప్పుడే అమెరికాకు వెళ్లిపోతుంది. ఇన్నేళ్లకు తిరిగి ఊరికి వచ్చిన ఆమె.. వచ్చీ రాగానే జిన్నాపై తన ఇష్టాన్ని బయట పెడుతుంది. అతన్ని పెళ్లి చేసుకోవాలని నిర్ణయించుకుంటుంది. (Ginna Review)  వాస్తవానికి జిన్నాకు పచ్చళ్ల స్వాతి (పాయల్‌ రాజ్‌పుత్‌) అంటే ఇష్టం. ఇద్దరూ పెళ్లి చేసుకోవాలని అనుకుంటారు. కానీ, రేణుకను చూశాక అతని ఆలోచన మారుతుంది. ఆమెని పెళ్లి పేరుతో బుట్టలోకి దింపి.. ఆమె డబ్బు కొట్టేసి, అప్పులు తీర్చుకొని, ఊరి సర్పంచ్‌ అవ్వాలని పథకం రచిస్తాడు. మరి ఆ తర్వాత ఏమైంది? స్వాతిని ప్రేమించిన జిన్నా.. రేణుక మెడలో తాళి కట్టాడా? సర్పంచ్‌ అవ్వాలన్న అతని కల నెరవేరిందా? ఈ క్రమంలో అతనికి రేణుక నుంచి ఎదురైన సవాళ్లేంటి? ఆమెను చూసి ఊరి వాళ్లంతా భయపడే పరిస్థితులు ఎందుకొచ్చాయి? అన్నది తెరపై చూసి తెలుసుకోవాలి.

ఎలా ఉందంటే: జిన్నా ప్రచార చిత్రాలు చూసిన ఎవరికైనా.. ఇందులో ఏదో ఓ హారర్‌ ఎలిమెంట్‌ దాగి ఉందన్న విషయం అర్థమయ్యే ఉంటుంది. ప్రేక్షకులు కూడా ఆ ఊహలతోనే థియేటర్లలోకి అడుగు పెడతారు. ప్రథమార్థం అంతా ఆ ఊహలకు తగ్గట్లుగానే వెళ్తున్నట్లు అనిపిస్తుంది. కానీ, ద్వితీయార్ధంలో వచ్చే ఓ ఊహించని సర్‌ప్రైజ్‌ ప్రేక్షకుల్ని ఆశ్చర్యపరుస్తుంది. అదే కథకు కొత్తదనాన్ని తీసుకొచ్చింది. అయితే అదేంటన్నది తెరపై చూసి తెలుసుకోవాలి. జిన్నాగా మంచు విష్ణు పాత్రను పరిచయం చేసిన తీరు ఓకే. ఆయన నేపథ్యాన్ని.. ఊళ్లో అతని అప్పుల గోలల్ని చూపిస్తూ నెమ్మదిగా కథలోకి తీసుకెళ్లే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు దర్శకుడు. జిన్నాని సర్పంచ్‌గా నిలబడనీయకుండా చేయడం కోసం తిప్పేస్వామి అప్పులిచ్చిన వ్యక్తితో కలిసి వేసే ఎత్తుగడలు, ఈ క్రమంలో వచ్చే యాక్షన్‌ ఎపిసోడ్‌లు కాలక్షేపాన్నిస్తాయి. రేణుక పాత్ర ఊళ్లోకి అడుగు పెట్టాక కథలో కాస్త వేగం పెరిగినట్లు అనిపించినా.. ఆ తర్వాత వచ్చే సన్నివేశాలన్నీ రొటీన్‌గానే సాగుతుంటాయి. ఆమె జిన్నాను పెళ్లి చేసుకోవాలనుకుంటున్నట్లు చెప్పడం.. (Ginna Review) అదే సమయంలో స్వాతికి జిన్నాకు మధ్య ఉన్న ప్రేమ బయట పడటం.. ఇలా కథ కాస్త రసవత్తరంగా మారుతుంది. విరామానికి ముందు రేణుక పాత్ర ఇచ్చే ట్విస్ట్‌ ద్వితీయార్ధంపై ఆసక్తి కలిగేలా చేస్తుంది. అయితే ఆ తర్వాత వచ్చే సన్నివేశాలన్నీ రొటీన్‌ హారర్‌ థ్రిల్లర్లను గుర్తుచేసేలా ఉంటాయి. కానీ, ప్రీక్లైమాక్స్‌కు ముందు కథ మరో ఊహించని మలుపు తిరుగుతుంది. రేణుక పాత్ర వెనకున్న మరో కోణం.. ఆ పాత్రకు సంబంధించిన గతం థ్రిల్‌ పంచుతుంది. పతాక సన్నివేశాలు ఉత్కంఠభరితంగా సాగినా.. సినిమాని ముగించిన తీరు అంతగా రుచించకపోవచ్చు. సీక్వెల్‌ కోసం కథను అలా అర్ధాంతరంగా ముగించినట్లు అనిపిస్తుంది.

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే: జిన్నాగా మంచు విష్ణు చక్కగా ఒదిగిపోయారు. యాక్షన్‌ సన్నివేశాల్లో పాత విష్ణుని గుర్తు చేశారు. చిత్తూరు యాసలో ఆయన పలికిన సంభాషణలు ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. నిజానికి ఈ కథలో సన్నీ లియోన్‌ పోషించిన రేణుక పాత్రే ప్రధానమైంది. ప్రధమార్ధంలో మూగ, చెవిటి అమ్మాయిలా సాదాసీదాగా కనిపించే ఆ పాత్ర.. ద్వితీయార్ధంలో చాలా శక్తిమంతంగా కనిపిస్తుంది. అయితే ఇంత బరువైన పాత్రను హ్యాండిల్‌ చేయడంలో సన్నీ చాలా సన్నివేశాల్లో తేలిపోయింది. తెరపై ఆమె అందచందాలు కుర్రకారుకు గిలిగింతలు పెడతాయి. పచ్చళ్ల స్వాతిగా పాయల్‌ రాజ్‌పుత్‌ పరిధిమేర నటించింది. రాకేష్‌ మాస్టర్‌గా చమ్మక్‌ చంద్ర, మైసూర్‌ బుజ్జీగా వెన్నెల కిషోర్‌ పంచే వినోదం కడుపుబ్బా నవ్విస్తుంది.  సూర్య తనకు అందించిన కథను అనుకున్నట్లుగా తెరపైకి తీసుకొచ్చే ప్రయత్నం చేశాడు. మంచు విష్ణు కుమార్తెలు పాడిన ‘ఇదే స్నేహం’ గీతం ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. నేపథ్య సంగీతం కథకు చక్కగా కుదిరింది. ఛోటా కె.నాయుడు ఛాయాగ్రహణం బాగుంది. నిర్మాణ విలువలు కథకు తగ్గట్లుగా ఉన్నాయి.

Manchu Vishnu aggressively marketed "Ginna." He even stated that he has decided to only do comedies in the future. He was certain that "Ginna" would provide him with much-needed success.

Let's see if his words are true.

Story: Ginna owns a Tent house in the village of Rangampet. He is struggling financially and has a lot of debt to pay off. Renuka (Sunny Leone), a beautiful and wealthy woman, returns from the United States to this village in search of her estranged uncle (Naresh). Renuka is a mute girl.

Ginna and his girlfriend (Payal Rajput) devise a scheme to steal money from Renuka and pay off his debts. Renuka, much to their surprise, offers to lend Ginna money and reveals that her sole reason for visiting this village is to marry Ginna.

Who exactly is Renuka, and what is her secret? 

Artistes’ Performances: Manchu Vishnu has played a fun character. Aside from the standard songs and fights, he delegates more work to other actors. Sunny Leone plays a girl who has a medical problem. She is a glamorous psychopath. She plays her part well. 

Payal Rajput has little to do. Chammak Chandra and Vennela Kishore act their roles as usual. Sunil makes an appearance in one scene. Naresh is fine.

Technical Excellence: Even though the film is mostly set in a village and some part in a resort, senior cameraman Chota K Naidu ensures that the visuals are grand. Songs by Anup Rubens are adequate. Dialogues are acceptable.

Highlights: A couple of entertaining parts Sunny Leone’s scenes

Drawback: Formulaic plot Outdated humor Predictable narration

Analysis In his career, Manchu Vishnu has had success with comedies (Kona Venkat and G Nageswara Reddy wrote "Dhee" and "Doosukeltha," for example). Following a string of failures, Manchu Vishnu hired writer Kona Venkat to pen the story for him, and "Ginna" happened. Kona Venkat wrote the screenplay in his regular format as in the horror comedy “Geetanjali”. The only difference is, there is no horror or ghost element in “Ginna”. 

The movie begins and ends similarly to Allari Naresh's comedies. The first half of the film focuses on Ginna's tent house problems, his romance with his girlfriend, Raghu Babu's challenges, and so on. When Sunny Leone arrives in the village, the plot twists. Then we get some cheap comedy from Chammak Chandra, who is hired to translate Sunny Leone's mute expressions. He passes lewd remarks at Sunny Leone.

Following lengthy comedy episodes, the ghost begins her act and a flashback occurs, as seen in "Geetanjali." Similarly, after the comedy segment concludes, Sunny Leone begins to murder people. The filmmakers attempted to bring laughs with Chammak Chandra's fears for being a witness to her murderous act. We don't see any spirits, unlike in "Geetanjali." 

Aside from a few comedic moments, the film's narrative is outdated. Suryaa, the new director, lacks the ability to give the clichéd story a modern twist. He directed the film in the style of G Nageswara Reddy.

Even the dialogues lack newness. Sample: “Ginna Ante Poyyi Meeda Karige Venna Kaadura Load Chesina Gun”. 

While Vishnu’s attempt to move to comedies is laudable, he should have invested money and time for new writers who come up with fresh ideas. It’s time he should reinvent himself. 

On the whole, “Ginna” is a clichéd comedy with few redeeming factors. 

Bottom line: Outdated

Ginna Movie Review: మంచు విష్ణు హీరోగా యాక్ట్ చేసి, ప్రొడ్యూస్ చేసిన మూవీ ‘జిన్నా’. దీని టైటిల్ అనౌన్స్ మెంట్ మోషన్ పోస్టర్ లో ఏడుకొండల వెనుక నుండి ‘జిన్నా’ పేరు పైకి రావడం కాంట్రవర్సీకి తెరలేపింది. అది తన మూవీ పబ్లిసిటీకి ఉపయోగపడుతుందని భావించి కావచ్చు, మంచు విష్ణు అప్ప‌ట్లో మౌనంగానే ఉండిపోయాడు. కానీ ఇప్పుడు రిలీజ్ టైమ్ లో మాత్రం ఎలాంటి వివాదాలకూ తావివ్వకుండా… హీరో ఎంట్రీ సీన్ లోనే ‘జై శ్రీరాం’ అనిపించేశారు. మరి గాలి నాగేశ్వరరావు ఉరఫ్‌ ‘జిన్నా’ ప్రేక్షకులను మెప్పించాడో లేదో తెలుసుకుందాం.

చిత్తూరు జిల్లా రంగం పేటకు చెందిన గాలి నాగేశ్వరరావుకు పూర్తి పేరుతో ఎవరైనా త‌న‌ను పిలిస్తే కోపం. షార్ట్ కట్ లో ‘జిన్నా’ అని పిలవమని అందరికీ చెబుతుంటాడు. స్కూల్ టైమ్ లో అతనికి క్లాస్ మేట్స్ రేణుక, స్వాతితో చక్కని స్నేహం ఏర్పడుతుంది. బయటి ఊరి నుండి వచ్చిన రేణుక మూగ, చెవిటి అమ్మాయి. అయితే… పల్లెటూరిలో ఇమడలేక ఆమె తండ్రి నారాయణస్వామి, రేణుకను తీసుకుని విదేశాల‌కు వెళ్ళిపోతాడు. పెరిగి పెద్దయ్యాక చిన్నప్పటి స్వాతితోనే జిన్నా ప్రేమలో పడతాడు. బతకడానికి టెంట్ హౌస్ నడిపే జిన్నాకు… ఊరి నిండా అప్పులే! స్వాతి అతనికి సాయం చేసినా, ఆ అప్పుల నుండి బయట పడలేక‌పోతుంటాడు. అదే సమయంలో వాళ్ళ చిన్ననాటి స్నేహితురాలు రేణుక తన బాబాయ్ వీరాస్వామి కోసం ఊరికి వస్తుంది. ఆమె దగ్గర కోట్ల రూపాయలు ఉన్నాయ‌ని తెలిసి, ఆమె సాయంతో తన అప్పులు తీర్చడంతో పాటు ఊరి ప్రెసిడెంట్ కావాలనే తన కోరికనూ నెరవేర్చుకోవాలని జిన్నా భావిస్తాడు. అందుకోసం రేణుకను పెళ్ళి చేసుకోవడానికీ సిద్ధపడతాడు. మరి స్వాతిని ప్రేమించిన జిన్నా… రేణుక మెడలో తాళి కట్టాడా? తండ్రితో పాటు విదేశాలకు వెళ్ళిన రేణుకకు అంత డ‌బ్బు ఎలా వచ్చింది? రేణుక గతం తెలిసివాళ్ళు ఆమెను చూసి ఎందుకు భయపడ్డారు? అనేదే మిగతా కథ.

‘జిన్నా’ మూవీ ట్రైలర్ చూసిన వాళ్ళు దీన్ని హారర్ కామెడీగా భావిస్తారు. కానీ థియేటర్ కు వచ్చిన తర్వాత అందుకు భిన్నమైన చిత్రమనే విషయం అర్థమౌతుంది. ఫ‌స్ట్ హాఫ్‌ పరమ రొటీన్ గా ఉంది. ఎప్పుడైతే రేణుక పాత్రకు సంబంధించిన ట్విస్ట్ ఇంటర్వెల్ లో రివీల్ అయ్యిందో అక్కడ నుండి మూవీ గ్రాఫ్ పెరిగింది. అయితే ఆ తర్వాత కూడా హారర్ ఛాయ‌ల‌తో సినిమా సాగడంతో, ఇలాంటి సీన్స్ చాలా సినిమాల్లో చూశాం కదా! అనిపిస్తుంది. బట్.. ప్రీ క్లయిమాక్స్ లో ప్రేక్షకుల ఊహకు అందని విధంగా కథను మలుపు తిప్పారు క‌థ‌కుడు నాగేశ్వ‌ర‌రెడ్డి. అదే ఈ సినిమాకు ఆయువు పట్టు. కానీ ఓవర్ ఆల్ గా చూసుకుంటే… పాత్రలు, వాటి ప్రవర్తన, వాటిని నడిపిన తీరు సగటు ప్రేక్షకుడిని మెప్పించలేవు. హీరోకు ఎలాంటి గొప్పతనాన్ని డైరెక్టర్ ఆపాదించలేదు. అతన్ని కూడా స్వార్థపరుడిగానే చూపించారు. ప్రేమించిన యువతితో కలిసి, చిన్ననాటి స్నేహితురాలిని మోసం చేయాలని ఆ పాత్ర భావించడం సబబుగా అనిపించదు. అలాంటి యాంటీ సెంటిమెంట్ సీన్స్ సినిమాలో చాలానే ఉన్నాయి. దీనికి మూల కథను అందించింది ప్రముఖ దర్శకుడు జి. నాగేశ్వరరెడ్డి. ఆయన తనదైన పంథాలో వినోదాన్ని బాగానే దట్టించాడు. స్క్రీన్ ప్లేను కోన వెంకట్ అందించారు. ప్రథమార్ధంతో పోల్చితే ద్వితీయార్థం కాస్తంత బెటర్ గా ఉంది. ఈ సినిమాకు సంబంధించిన మరో విశేషం ఏమంటే… ఇందులోని ‘ఇది స్నేహం…’ అనే పాటను మంచు విష్ణు కుమార్తెలు అరియానా, వివియానా చక్కగా పాడారు. అనూప్ రూబెన్స్ అందించిన స్వరాలలో కొత్తదనం లేకపోయినా… పాటలు వినడానికి, చూడటానికి బాగానే ఉన్నాయి. వీటికి ప్రభుదేవా, గణేశ్ ఆచార్య, ప్రేమ్ రక్షిత్ కొరియోగ్రఫీ చేశారు. ‘వాటే బాడీ… ‘ పాటలో గణేశ్ ఆచార్య గెస్ట్ అప్పీయరెన్స్ ఇచ్చారు. చిత్రం ఏమంటే… ఓ ఫైట్ లో హీరో ‘నువ్వు నన్ను ట్రోల్ చేయ్ ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తా… మా వాళ్ళ జోలి కొస్తే తోలు తీస్తా’ అంటూ అసందర్భంగా డైలాగ్ చెప్పేస్తాడు. మూవీ ప్ర‌మోష‌న్స్ లో వాడుకోవడానికి ఇలాంటివి చెప్పించారని పిస్తుంది.

నటీనటుల విషయానికి వస్తే… మంచు విష్ణు కథను నమ్మి ఈ పాత్ర చేశాడు, సినిమా తీశాడు. నిజానికి ఇందులో అతని పాత్రకంటే కూడా సన్నీలియోన్ పోషించిన రేణుక పాత్రే ప్రధానమైంది. ఆమె పోషించింది మూగ చెవిటి అమ్మాయి పాత్ర కాబట్టి కొంత వరకూ ఎలాగో నెట్టుకొచ్చేసింది. కానీ ఆ తర్వాత మూవీలో అసలైన ట్విస్ట్ రివీల్ చేశాక, అమ్మ‌డి నటన తేలిపోయింది. సన్నీలియోన్ స్క్రీన్ ప్రెజెన్స్ కూడా అంత ఛార్మింగ్ గా లేదు. ‘కరెంట్ తీగ’లోని సన్నీకి ఇప్పటికీ చాలా తేడా కనిపిస్తోంది. పాయల్ రాజ్ పుత్ చేసిన స్వాతి పాత్ర రొటీన్ గా సాగింది. సెక్సీ హీరోయిన్స్ ఇమేజ్ ఉన్న పాయల్ రాజ్ పుత్, సన్నీ లియోన్ ఇందులో కీ రోల్స్ చేస్తున్నారంటే యూత్ ఆశ‌ప‌డేది వేరే ఉంటుంది. కానీ దాన్ని దర్శకుడు అందించలేదు. ఇతర ప్రధాన పాత్రలను సురేశ్, నరేశ్, రఘుబాబు, సునీల్, ‘సత్యం’ రాజేశ్‌, గౌతంరాజు, చమ్మక్ చంద్ర, ‘వెన్నెల’ కిశోర్, భద్రం తదితరులు పోషించారు. బిగ్ బాస్ ఫేమ్ దివి, త్రిపురనేని చిట్టి గెస్ట్ అప్పీయరెన్స్ ఇచ్చారు. చోటా కె. నాయుడు సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాగానే ఉంది. బట్ ప్రొడక్షన్ వాల్యూస్ ఏమంత గొప్పగా లేవు. యాక్షన్ సీన్స్ లో హీరో వెనక భాగంలో వేసిన రోప్స్ ఛాయలు క్లియర్ గా కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. ‘గ్యాంగ్ స్టార్ గంగరాజుస ఫేమ్ ఇషాన్ సూర్య… మంచు విష్ణు ఇచ్చిన అవకాశాన్ని సద్వినియోగం చేసుకోలేదనిపిస్తోంది. కామెడీ థ్రిల్ల‌ర్స్ ను ఇష్ట‌ప‌డేవారికి ఈ సినిమా ఓ మేర‌కు న‌చ్చొచ్చు!!

What's Behind

Manchu Vishnu after a long hibernation is coming to treat movie lovers with a hilarious horror entertainer Ginna. He is romancing Sunny Leone and Payal Rajput in the film directed by Eeshan Suryaa. Ginna will be screened on OTT once its finishes its theatrical run. Let us find out whether Manchu Vishnu is successful in his attempts to entertain movie lovers.

Story Review

Ginna's story is all about a youngster Ginna and how he overcomes his problems in his personal and professional life. Gali Nageswara Rao aka Ginna (Manchu Vishnu) runs a tent house in his village and he has a dream of becoming the Village President. But his debts prevent him from doing so. How Ginna manages to come out of the problems, and how it affects his relations with his childhood friends Swathi (Payal Rajput), Swathi (Sunny Leone), Vennela Kishore (Mysore Babji), and what role does Village President Tippeswara Rao (Raghu Babu), Veerasawy (Naresh), Rakesh Master (Chammak Chandra) form the crux of the story.

Artists, Technicians Review

Story of Ginna provided by Kona Venkat though routine is high on humor. Director Eeshan Suryaah did full justice to the story with his screenplay and direction. The narration starts on a predictable note and goes in a slow manner. After a few romantic and hilarious scenes, the first half ends with an interesting interval twist which viewers never expect. The second half picks up the pace and with hilarious and horror elements, interest levels increases among viewers. But into the pre-climax and climax, everything turns out to be routine.

Manchu Vishnu delighted all his fans by appearing on the screen after a long time. He worked hard and performed extremely well. He did full justice to his role and showed the right kind of expression and emotions. He excelled in romantic scenes and enacted high-octane stunts with ease. His dialogue delivery is good. His chemistry between Payal Rajput and Sunny Leone attracts the masses.

Sunny Leone turned redhot on the screen. She set the screens on fire with her glamor treat. Apart from it, the surprise element associated with her role drives viewers crazy. Payal Rajput performed a traditional role and she did a good job. Payal Rajput toned down her glamor treat compared to Sunny Leone.

Vennela Kishore and Chammak Chandra created a laughing riot with their scenes on the screen. Naresh, Sunil, Suresh, Raghu Babu, and Annapurna did full justice to their roles. Dialogues penned by Bhanu and Nandu are good. Music of Anup Rubens is ok and songs give a full treat to the masses. But at times they acted as speed breakers. Anup Rubens' background music is good. Chota K Naidu showcased the rural and village atmosphere to perfection. The editing of Chota K Prasad could have been better especially in the first half and for some parts in the second half. Production values are good.

Rating Analysis

Manchu Vishnu who reeled under a string of flops has taken a long break before deciding to make his comeback with Ginna. The film's unique title attracted the attention of all. The makers timed the film's release in such a way on Diwali eve to entertain the masses. Kona Venkat and his team penned hilarious dialogues and with the film loaded with mass commercial elements, they ticked all the right boxes. But the slow pace, routine story undid their good work. But Eshaan Suryaah balanced it with the thrilling twits and the glamor treat doled out by Sunny Leone makes up for everything. Altogether Ginna is a mass entertainer with interesting twists. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2.75 rating for Ginna.

మంచు విష్ణు హీరోగా ఇషాన్‌ సూర్య దర్శకత్వంలో నటించిన సినిమా 'జిన్నా'. అవా ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్‌, 24 ఫ్రేమ్స్ ఫ్యాక్టరీలు సంయుక్తంగా నిర్మించిన ఈ సినిమాలో సన్నీలియోన్‌, పాయల్‌ రాజ్‌పుత్‌లు హీరోయిన్స్‌గా నటించారు. స్క్రీన్‌ప్లేను స్టార్ రైటర్ కోన వెంకట్ అందించారు. ఔట్ అండ్ ఔట్ కామెడీ ఎంటర్‌టైనర్‌గా రూపొందిన ఈ సినిమా దీపావళి కానుకగా నేడు(అక్టోబర్‌ 21) విడుదలైంది. కేవలంలో తెలుగులోనే కాకుండా హిందీ, తమిళం, మలయాళ భాషల్లో ఈరోజు విడుదల చేశారు. మరి ఈ సినిమా కథ, కథనాలు ఎలా ఉన్నాయి? ఆడియెన్స్‌ను ఈ చిత్రం ఏ మేరకు మెప్పించిందో ఓ సారి చూద్దాం.

ఎవరెలా నటించారంటే..  జిన్నాగా మంచు విష్ణు కామెడీ సన్నివేశాల్లో చాలా బాగా నటించారు. కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలు ఢీ సినిమాను గుర్తుచేస్తాయి.యాక్షన్, కామెడీలో తన స్టైల్లో మెప్పించాడు. పాయల్‌ రాజ్‌పుత్‌  చేసిన స్వాతి పాత్ర రొటీన్‌గా అనిపించినా తన అందంతో ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. సన్నీలియోన్‌ పాత్ర అందరిని మెస్మరైజ్‌ చేస్తుంది. కానీ ఇంటర్వెల్‌ ట్విస్ట్ రివీల్ చేశాక, ఆమె పాత్ర కాస్త తేలిపోయినట్లు అనిపిస్తుంది. మిగతా పాత్రలు పోషించిన సురేశ్, నరేశ్, రఘుబాబు, సునీల్, ‘సత్యం’ రాజేశ్‌, గౌతంరాజు, చమ్మక్ చంద్ర, ‘వెన్నెల’ కిశోర్, భద్రం తదితరులు తమ పాత్రల పరిధి మేరకు నటించారు.బిగ్‌బాస్‌ ఫేమ్ దివి, త్రిపురనేని చిట్టి గెస్ట్‌ అప్పీరియన్స్‌లో కనిపించారు. చోటా కె. నాయుడు సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాగానే ఉంది. అనూప్‌ రూబెన్స్‌ సంగీతం ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది.

ఎలా ఉందంటే.. జిన్నా కథ మొదటి నుంచి చివరి వరకు ప్రేక్షకులను కట్టిపడేసేంత ఫ్రెష్‌నెస్‌ ఏమీ లేదు కానీ, కొన్ని కామెడీ సన్నివేశాలు నవ్విస్తాయి. అప్పటిదాకా ఓ కామెడీ, ఓ సాంగ్, ఓ ఫైట్ అన్నట్టుగా పక్కా కమర్షియల్ ఫార్మాట్‌లో సాగుతున్న కథకు ఇంటర్వెల్‌లో అదిరిపోయే ట్విస్ట్‌ ఎదురవుతుంది. ఇంటర్వెల్‌ బ్యాంగ్‌ మాత్రం సెకండాఫ్‌పై క్యూరియాసిటీని పెంచింది. సన్నీ లియోన్  తన నటనతో ఆశ్చర్యపరుస్తుంది.

సెకండాఫ్‌ను కొంచెం డిఫరెంట్‌గా డీల్ చేసే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు.వెన్నెల కిషోర్, చమ్మక్ చంద్రల మధ్య వచ్చే కామెడీ సన్నివేశాలు నవ్వు తెప్పిస్తాయి. అయితే కొన్ని బలవంతపు కామెడీ సీన్స్‌ ఉన్నట్లు అనిపించడంతో కోర్ ఎమోషన్ సరిగ్గా పండలేదు.ఇందులో మంచు విష్ణు వేసిన డైలాగ్స్ కొన్ని ట్రోలర్లకు కౌంటర్లుగా అనిపించింది. నన్ను ట్రోల్ చేస్తే ఓకే గానీ నా ఫ్యామిలీ జోలికి వస్తే అంటూ చెప్పిన డైలాగ్‌ ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. సాంకేతికంగా జిన్నా పర్వాలేదనిపిస్తుంది. అనూప్ రూబెన్స్ సంగీతం, బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ ఓకే అనిపిస్తుంది. కెమెరా, ఎడిటింగ్, ఆర్ట్ డిపార్ట్మెంట్ ఇలా అన్నీ కూడా పర్వాలేదనిపిస్తాయి.నిర్మాణ విలువలు సినిమా స్థాయికి తగ్గట్టుగా ఉన్నాయి.

Vishnu Manchu hasn’t had a success since Denikaina Ready. The Dhee actor teams up with Kona Venkat for a comic caper ‘Ginna’ helmed by debutante Eeshaan Suryaah. Will Vishnu score success with the film and break the jinx. Without further due, let’s check out.

Plot: Gali Nageswara Rao alias Ginna (Vishnu) runs a tenthouse that runs into losses since it’s jinxed. Ginna has to repay his debts to avoid marrying the lender’s sister. He is in love with childhood friend Swathi (Payal Rajput). Return of their other childhood friend Renuka (Sunny Leone) from the US changes the equations. Who’s Renuka and what’s her motto? Will Ginna marry Renuka or Swathi?

Performances

Vishnu Manchu as Ginna delivers what is expected from him. It is a tailor-made role for Vishnu who does act with ease. He shines in the comic scenes. His combination scenes with Payal and Sunny are good. Romantic scenes are also enticing. Payal is good as village belle Swathi. She has good screen presence, but her role has limited scope to do fireworks. Sunny takes the centrestage as the film revolves around her character. She does justice for her role. Comedian Saddam Hussein as Pandu evokes laughs. He is good as the hero’s friend. Vennela Kishore and Chammak Chandra’s comedy also worked. Divi Vadthya is the surprise element in the film. Comedian Sunil is seen in a blink-and-miss cameo. Sathyam Rajesh is also confined to a brief role. The film has a slew of actors including Raghubabu, Naresh, Suresh, Gautam Raju, Annapurnamma. 

Technicalities

Story and screenplay of Ginna has the scope to work well with the masses. It is indeed formulaic but it very much serves the purpose. The commercial aspects and out-and-out humour. First-time director Suryaah did his job well. Nowhere in the film did it look like a first-time directorial. Anup Rubens music elevates the scenes. Songs are good with a nice dose of glamour. They are placed well. The run-time is short and doesn’t bore the viewers.

Predictable Elements

Comedy is Vishnu’s forte. He has delivered Dhee and Denikaina Ready in the past. After a longtime, he finally got into what he is good at. He doesn’t disappoint. Thanks to the story and screenplay which did the magic. The treatment is hilarious without deviating from the story. The comedy elements have worked well. Dialogues are well-written and youth centric. They tickle the funnybones of audiences. 

The story of Ginna is set in Rangampet village near Tirupati. It goes on a familiar path, but it takes off well. The initial scenes are refreshing. It establishes the characters and the atmosphere preparing us for what the film is going to be. But it is the pre-interval twist that totally changes the course of the film. It sustains the curiosity over the film well. Screenplay of the film penned by Mohan Babu has indeed worked for Ginna.

Plot-wise, Ginna has close resemblance with Chandramukhi. But the horror element from Chandramukhi is replaced with the crime thriller giving a psychological trauma spin. It was a smart move and it worked in Ginna’s favour. The treatment of the film is what turned totally in the film’s flavour. The early second-half has some routine portions, but they are overshadowed by the following scenes that dive into the story. Barring some predictable scenes, Ginna has its moments that appeal. Songs are good. Friendship song sung by Vishnu’s daughters Ariaana and Viviana is emotionally touching.

Go without any expectations, the film will surely surprise you and entertain you. Vishnu is back to the form and he breaks the jinx with Ginna. It’s a time-pass entertainer.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda, as DJ Tillu, earned a special place in the hearts of audiences with his comedy timing and writing, allowing the makers to come up with its sequel, Tillu Square. The second installment is helmed by Mallik Ram, and Anupama Parameswaran played the leading lady. Amidst very good buzz, the movie has hit the screens today, and let’s see if it has lived up to the hype or not.

With the huge amount earned, Tillu (Siddhu Jonnalagadda) becomes an event organizer. His attitude and style doesn’t change a bit and Tillu instantly falls in love with Lilly (Anupama Parameswaran). He starts wooing Lilly from the moment he sees her, and again, he lands in a huge mess. How Tillu comes out of it forms the crux of the story.

Plus Points:

Films like DJ Tillu and Tillu Square majorly rely on the protagonist’s characterization, and the major challenge for the makers will be to get this aspect right. Tillu is one character which has struck a chord with the audience immensely, and it is very difficult to recreate the same magic. But the team passed the job with flying colors.

It is Siddhu’s show all the way without an iota of doubt. He is the main pillar of this Tillu franchise, and the audience will surely get entertained big time watching him. From the opening sequence, Siddhu grabs our attention with his one-liners, body language, and funny expressions. Siddhu has hit it out of the park with his fantastic comedy timing.

As Siddhu himself is the writer, he knows very well what audiences expect from him and plays it to the gallery. The second half is solid, with non-stop entertainment. The humor is evoked through quirky one-liners and trendy dialogues. Anupama Parameswaran is quite good in her bold role. She shared a solid chemistry with the protagonist and her character travels along with the hero throughout the movie just like Tillu Square’s predecessor. Muralidhar Goud, Prince Cecil, and other supporting cast are decent in their roles

Minus Points:

The sequel begins exactly where the first part ends. But after a neat start things slow down a bit in the first hour. The love track is packed with gags. While a few of them land well, a few don’t work as intended. This is a bit of lag in the story progression in the first half.

As mentioned above, movies like Tillu Square depend on characterization and not on the storyline. Those who expect a strong story might get disappointed a bit. A few scenes might give you a Deja Vu feeling since the story is more or less the same as the first part. The way a few aspects are dealt with looks silly. Murali Sharma’s character gets less screen time, and the final twist looks forced.

Technical Aspects:

The songs are integrated well with the narrative. Ram Miryala and Achu Rajamani did a good job with the songs, while the background score provided by Bheems Ceciroleo is in sync with the film’s quirky mood. The editing by Navin Nooli is decent. The cinematography by Sai Prakash is splendid, and the frames look colorful.

The production values are good, too. Coming to the director, Mallik Ram, he did a good job in narrating this familiar storyline in an entertaining manner. There are loopholes, but the team covered it up with humorous moments.

On the whole, Tillu Square is a neat sequel to DJ Tillu, with an abundant amount of entertainment. Siddhu as Tillu is the heart and soul of this madcap entertainer, and he will once again win over us with his amusing comedy timing, screen presence, and mannerisms. The story is pretty much the same as the first installment, and a few scenes will give us a Deja Vu feeling. The first half is a bit underwhelming, and a few aspects don’t look convincing. But the majority of the second half is filled with non-stop entertainment that works pretty well. There are hiccups, but the entertainment factor keeps the film going. Those who liked DJ Tillu will end up liking this sequel as well. Go for it.
