పాఠము పేరు : ‘ధర్మార్జునులు’ : చేమకూర వేంకటకవి కవి

ఈయన ఎవరి ఆస్థానకవి : ఈ కవి, తంజావూరు రాజ్యాన్ని పాలించిన, ‘విజయభవన’ అనే కవిపండిత సభను ఊహాచిత్రం నిర్వహించిన, “అభినవ భోజరాజు” అని బిరుదు 17వ శతాబ్దం పొందిన రఘునాథనాయకుని ఆస్థానకవి.

కవి రచనలు 1) సారంగధర చరిత్ర, 2) విజయవిలాసం విజయవిలాసం ప్రత్యేకత తాను రచించిన ‘సారంగధర చరిత్ర’ కావ్యంలో మహారాజుకు అంకితం ఇవ్వదగిన లక్షణాలు లేవని తలచి, సర్వగుణ సంపన్నంగా ‘విజయవిలాసం’ కావ్యాన్ని ఈ కవి రచించాడు. విజయవిలాసంలో చమత్కారం లేని ఒక్క పద్యం కూడా లేదని పేరు పొందాడు. పిల్లవసు చరిత్ర’ అనే ప్రశంసను పొందిన ఈ కావ్యం, తెలుగులోని పంచమహా కావ్యాలతో సరితూగగలదని విజ్ఞులు తలుస్తున్నారు. విజయవిలాస కావ్య రచన : ఈ కవి భారత కథలో అవసరమైన చక్కని మార్పులు చేసి, “ప్రతి పద్య చమత్కారం”తో స్వతంత్ర కావ్యంగా విజయవిలాసాన్ని రచించి రఘునాథరాయలకు ఈ విజయవిలాసాన్ని అంకితం చేశాడు.

2. ‘కొంగు బంగారం’ అనే మాట ఎప్పుడైనా విన్నారా ? అయితే దాని గురించి మీరేమనుకుంటున్నారో చెప్పండి.

జ. ‘కొంగు బంగారం’ అనేది తెలుగు జాతీయము. ‘సులభ సాధ్యము’ అని దీనికి అర్థము. పూర్వులు తమకు కావలసిన ధనాన్ని చెంగున ముడివేసుకొనేవారు. ఆ రోజుల్లో మనీ పర్సులు లేవు. వారికి ఏదయినా డబ్బు అవసరం అయితే వెంటనే చెంగున లేక కొంగున ముడి వేసిన ముడి విప్పి, అందులో కావలసిన మొత్తాన్ని వారు సులభంగా వాడుకొనేవారు. వారి డబ్బు ఏ పెట్టెలోనో ఉండి ఉంటే అంత సులభంగా అది వారి అవసరానికి ఉపయోగించదు. ఆ విధంగా ‘కొంగు బంగారం’ అంటే, సులభంగా అయ్యే పని అని అర్థంలో, ఆ జాతీయం వాడుకలోకి వచ్చింది.

స్నేహభావం ఎవరెవరితో పెంపొందించుకోవాలి ?

స్నేహభావం సత్పురుషులతో పెంపొందించుకోవాలి. ధర్మరాజు వంటి సత్పురుషులు 1) ప్రజల సంపదలకు సంతోషిస్తారు. అసూయపడరు. 2) ప్రజలందరూ తనను సేవించాలని అనుకుంటారు. వీరు ఎవరినీ వెగటుగా చూడరు. 3) అడిగిన వారికి ఇద్దామని అనుకుంటారు. పూర్వమే అతడికి ఎంతో ఇచ్చామని అనరు. 4) రాత్రింబగళ్ళు ధర్మార్జన దృష్టితో ఉంటారు. అన్యాయవర్తన ఉండదు. కాబట్టి ధర్మరాజు వంటి సత్పురుషులతో స్నేహభావం పెంపొందించుకోవాలి.

అసూయాపరులంటే ఎవరు? వారి వల్ల ఎవరికి నష్టమో చెప్పండి.

అసూయాపరులంటే ఈర్ష్యాగుణం కలవారు. ఎదుటి వారికి ఉన్నది, తనకు లేదని బాధపడేవారు ‘అసూయా పరులు’. అసూయ వల్ల అసూయాపరులకే నష్టము . అసూయాపరుల వల్ల ఒక్కొక్కప్పుడు ఎదుటివారికి కూడా నష్టం ఉంటుంది.

1. ‘ప్రాణసఖుడు’ అని ఎవరినంటారు ? వాళ్ళ లక్షణాలు ఎట్లా ఉంటాయి?

జ. ‘ప్రాణసఖుడు’ అంటే తన ప్రాణంతో సమానంగా ఎదుటి వారిని చూసుకొనే మిత్రుడు. అవసరమైతే స్నేహితుడి కోసం, తన ప్రాణాలను ఇచ్చే మిత్రుడిని “ప్రాణసఖుడు” అంటారు. ప్రాణసఖుడి లక్షణాలు : 1) మిత్రుడిని పాపకార్యముల నుండి మరలిస్తాడు. 2) స్నేహితునిచే హితమైన కార్యాలు చేయిస్తాడు. 3) స్నేహితుడి రహస్యాన్ని దాస్తాడు. 4) మిత్రుడి సద్గుణాలను పోషిస్తాడు. 5) మిత్రునికి లేని సమయంలో అతడిని విడిచిపెట్టడు. 6) మిత్రుడికి కావలసినది తాను ఇస్తాడు.

2. ‘ధర్మప్రవర్తన కలిగి వుండటం’ అంటే ఏమిటి ?

జ. వేదధర్మ శాస్త్రాలలో చెప్పిన ధర్మాలకు అనుగుణంగా నడచుకోడాన్ని ధర్మప్రవర్తన కలిగియుండడం అంటారు. అన్నదమ్ముల యందు సమభావన, తోడి రాజులలో మంచి ప్రసిద్ధి, సాత్వికులు కూడా ప్రశంసించే విధంగా నడచుకోడం అన్నది ధర్మప్రవర్తన.

3. స్నేహభావం పెంపొందించుకోవడం వలన ఎటువంటి ప్రయోజనాలు ఉంటాయో చెప్పండి.

జ. ఇతరులందరితోనూ స్నేహభావం పెంపొందించుకోడం వల్ల మనకు మిత్రులు పెరుగుతారు. మనకు శత్రువులన్న వారే ఉండరు. అందరూ మనల్ని ప్రేమభావంతో చూస్తారు. అవసరం వచ్చినపుడు ఆ మిత్రులు మనల్ని ఆదుకుంటారు. మనకు ఎక్కువ మంది స్నేహితులు ఉంటే, శత్రువులు మనవైపుకు కన్నెత్తి చూడడానికి సైతం జంకుతారు.

అ) ధర్మరాజు వ్యక్తిత్వాన్ని గురించి మీ సొంతమాటల్లో రాయండి.

బి. ధర్మరాజు వ్యక్తిత్వము : ధర్మరాజు పాండవులలో పెద్దవాడు. ఇంద్రప్రస్థ పట్టణాన్ని పాలించేవాడు. ధర్మరాజు తాను ఇచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞల ప్రకారం, తాను సహితం ఆచరించేవాడు. శాంతము, దయ, సత్యము అనే సద్గుణాలు గలవాడు. మంచివారిని ఆదరించేవాడు. దానము చేయడంలో ఆసక్తి కలవాడు. ఆయన గొప్ప పరాక్రమంతో ప్రజలు మెచ్చుకొనేటట్లు రాజ్యపాలన చేసేవాడు. ధర్మరాజు ఇతరుల గురించి రహస్యంగా చెడు చెప్పేవాడు కాదు, ముఖప్రీతి కోసం మాట్లాడేవాడు కాడు. ఎవరికీ చనువు ఇచ్చి, వారిని లోకువ చేసేవాడు కాడు, మెచ్చుకున్నప్పుడు తృప్తిగా ఇచ్చేవాడు. మొగమాటానికి ఎవరినీ మెచ్చుకొనేవాడు కాడు. ప్రజల సంపదలకు సంతోషపడేవాడు. కాని, అసూయపడేవాడు కాడు. వెగటుగా ఎవరినీ చూసేవాడు కాడు. అడిగినంత ఇచ్చేవాడు. రాత్రింబగళ్ళు ధర్మార్థన చేసేవాడు. అన్యాయ ప్రవర్తన లేనివాడు. ధర్మరాజునకు కోపం లేదు. పండితులకు ఆయన కొంగు బంగారం వంటివాడు, సత్యస్వరూపుడు. ఆయన మనుష్యుల తారతమ్యాలు తెలిసిన స్వతంత్రుడు. కొత్త వారిపై మోజు లేనివాడు. అతడు కృతయుగ లక్ష్మణుడు.

జ. మా వరంగల్లు నగరంలో ‘ కామేశ మహర్షి’ అనే ఒక సత్పురుషుడూ, దైవభక్తుడూ ఉన్నాడు. ఆయన ఇంజనీరింగ్ పట్టభద్రుడు. ఆయన తల్లిగారి జన్మస్థలము “వరంగల్లు”. కామేశ మహర్షికి తల్లిదండ్రులు ‘బెహరా’ అని పేరు పెట్టారు. బెహరా పదవ తరగతిలో ఉండగా, కంచి పీఠాధిపతులు చంద్రశేఖరేంద్రసరస్వతీ స్వామి ఒకసారి వరంగల్లు కళాశాలకు వచ్చారు. ‘బెహరా’ స్నేహితులతో కలసి, స్వామిని దర్శించారు. కంచి స్వామి, చిన్న కామాక్షీదేవి విగ్రహాన్ని బెహరా గార్కి ఇచ్చారు. అంతే, బెహరా కామాక్షీ భక్తుడుగా మారారు. మహర్షి నగరంలో కామాక్షీ ప్రేమ మందిరాన్ని స్థాపించి, అమ్మవారిని ఆరాధిస్తున్నారు. దిక్కులేని అనాథ పిల్లలను ఆశ్రమంలో చేర్చుకొని, వారందరికీ తండ్రిగా తల్లిగా తానే ఉంటూ, వారిని పెంచి పోషిస్తున్నారు.

అ) పాండవుల గుణగణాల గురించి కని ఏమని వర్ణించాడు ? ఎందుకు?

జి. ధర్మరాజు నలుగురు తమ్ములూ, ఓటమిని ఎరుగని వారు, అతువులను ఓడించడానికి, యాచకుల దీనత్వం పోగొట్టడానికి, ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఉత్సాహం కలిగియుంటారు. వీరు మంచి పరాక్రమం గలవారు. పాండవులు ఐదుగురూ కోరిన కోరికలు తీర్చడంలో అయిదు దేవతా సృక్షాలవంటివారని, శత్రువులను జయించడంలో విష్ణుమూర్తి అయిదు ఆయధాల వంటి వారనీ, పవిత్ర ప్రవర్తనలో ఈశ్వరుడి ఐదు ముఖాల వంటివారనీ, లోకం పొగిడేటట్లు గుణవంతులుగా ఉండేవారు. పాండవులు స్నేహభావం, భక్తి, (ప్రేమ, ఓర్పు కనబడేటట్లు, పెద్ద, చిన్న అనే తేడాలు తెలుసుకొని, ఒకరిమాట మరొకరు దాటకుండా చేసే పనులలో తేడా లేకుండా, ఒకరి మనస్సుననుసరించి మరొకరు నడచుకుంటూ ఉండేవారు. అన్నదమ్ముల సరాగము అంటే పాండవులదే అని లోకము ప్రశంసించే విధంగా వారు ప్రవర్తించేవారు.

ఆ) ఈ పాఠానికి “ధర్మార్జునులు” అనే పేరు తగిన విధంగా ఉన్నదని భావిస్తున్నారా ? ఎందుకు ? ,

జ ఈ పార్థంలో మొత్తం 10 పద్యాలు ఉన్నాయి. అందులో మొదటి నాలుగు పద్యాలలో ధర్మరాజు సుగుణాలనూ, ప్రజలను అతడు పాలించిన విధానమునూ వర్ణించారు. అలాగే చివరి 8, 9, 10 పద్యాలలో అర్జునుని సుగుణాలనూ, అతడి సౌందర్యాన్నీ, దయాగుణాన్నీ, అతడి యుద్ధ విజయాలనూ గూర్చి వర్ణించారు. ఇందులో ఐదు, ఆరు, ఏడు పద్యాలలో మాత్రము మొత్తం పాండవుల ఐదుగురి గుణగణాలనూ కవి వర్ణించాడు. మొత్తం పై ధర్మరాజు గురించి, అర్జునుడి గురించి ఈ పద్యాలలో విశేషంగా వర్ణింపబడింది. కాబట్టి మొత్తం ఈ పాఠానికి ధర్మరాజు పేరు, అర్జునుడి పేరు కలిసివచ్చేలా, ‘ధర్మార్జునులు’ అని పేరు పెట్టడం తగిన విధంగానే ఉన్నదని భావిస్తున్నాను.

ఇ ‘పాండవులు ఉదారస్వభావులు’ సమర్థిస్తూ రాయండి.

జ. ఉదార స్వభావము అన్నదానికి దాతృత్వము, దయ, గొప్పతనము, సరళస్వభావము, గాంభీర్యము, నేర్పరిదనము అని అనేక విశేషార్థాలు ఉన్నాయి. పాండవులు ఐదుగురూ పైన చెప్పిన గుణగణాలు కలవారు. ధర్మరాజు శాంతి దయలు, ఆభరణంగా కలవాడు. సాధు జనులను ఆదరించేవాడు. దానవిద్య యందు ఆసక్తి కలవాడు. యాచకులకు అడిగిన దానికంటే అధికంగా ఇచ్చేవాడు.

మంచివారిని ఆదరించి పోషించవలసిన ఆవశ్యకతను గురించి రాయండి.

జ మంచివారు అంటే సత్పురుషులు అనగా మంచి గుణాలు కలవారు. ప్రభువులు మంచివారిని ఆదరించి, వారికి ఉద్యోగమిచ్చి వారిని పెంచి పోషించాలి. మంచి వారిని ఆదరించి పోషిస్తే, వారు సహృదయులు కాబట్టి, యజమానుల క్షేమానికి, వారి అభివృద్ధికి కృషి చేస్తారు. యోగ్యుడైన రాజు తన విచక్షణ జ్ఞానంతో ప్రజల మంచి చెడులను ముందుగా గుర్తించాలి. మంచివారిని ప్రోత్సహించాలి. చెడును ఖండించాలి. మంచివారికి ఆశ్రయం కల్పిస్తే వారు ధర్మమార్గంలో సంసారాన్ని పోషించుకుంటారు. లోకోపకారానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తారు. మంచివారినే మనం ఆదరిస్తే లోకంలో దుర్జనులకు ఆశ్రయం లభించదు. ఆ విధంగా లోకంలో దుష్టత్వం దూరం అవుతుంది. మంచిగా ఉందాం. మంచినే చేద్దాం. మంచివారినే ఆదరిద్దాం అనే భావం లోకంలో వ్యాపిస్తుంది.

పాఠం ఆధారంగా చేమకూర వేంకటకవి గురించి ప్రశంసిస్తూ రాయండి. ఇతరులు వ్రాయలేరనీ తెలుస్తుంది.

జ. చేమకూర వేంకటకవి తంజావూరు రాజ్యాన్ని పాలించిన రఘునాథనాయకుని ఆస్థానకవి. ఈ వేంకటకవి, విజయవిలాసము’ అనే గొప్ప చమత్కార ప్రబంధాన్ని రచించి, రఘునాథరాయలకు అంకితం ఇచ్చాడు. ఈ విజయవిలాస ప్రబంధము తెలుగులో పంచకావ్యాలని పిలువబడే వాటిలో చివరిది. ఉత్తమమైనది. వేంకటకవిని రఘునాథరాయలు మెచ్చుకొని “ప్రతిపద్యమునందు చమత్కృతి కలుగ చెప్పనేరువు”, “క్షితిలో నీ మార్గము ఎవరికింరాదు కవితా మన పాఠంలో చమత్కారాలు చూద్దాం. ఈ పద్యాలన్నింటిలో అర్జునుడిని వర్ణిస్తూ చెప్పిన “అతని నుతింపశక్యమై మహీతలమ్మునన్” అనే 9వ పద్యము మేలిరత్నం వంటిది. అర్జునుడు అందంలో జయంతుని తమ్ముడట అంటే సమానం అన్నమాట. దయారసంలో కృష్ణుడికి ప్రాణసఖుడట అంటే కృష్ణునితో సమానం, యుద్ధ విజయంలో ఈశ్వరుడికి ‘ప్రతిజోదు’ ఆట అంటే సమానమున్న మాట. ఇలా అందంలో జయంతునితో, దయలో కృష్ణుడితో, యుద్ధంలో ఈశ్వరుడితో సమానమని చెప్పి, చివరి పంక్తిలో భూమండలంలో ‘అతనికతండె సాటి’ అని చెప్పాడు. మొదటలో అర్జునుడిని ముగ్గురితో సమంగా చెప్పి చివరన అర్జునుడికి అర్జునుడే భూమండలంలో సాటి అనడంలో చమత్కారం ఉంది. జయంతుడు, విష్ణుడు, ఈశ్వరుడు అనేవారు భూమండలంలోనివారు కారు. భూమండలంలో అర్జునుడిని మించిన వారు లేరని దానిలో చమత్కారం. అదేగాక పురాణాల ప్రకారం జయంతుడు అర్జునుడికి తమ్ముడే, కృష్ణుడు ప్రాణసఖుడే, ఈశ్వరుడు ప్రతిజోదే ఇది మరో చమత్కారం. ఈ పద్యాలు మంచి సమాస గాంభీర్యంతో శబ్దాలంకారాలతో అద్భుతంగా నడుస్తాయి. ‘ఆ పురమేలు, మేలు’ అన్న పద్యం శబ్దాలంకార సుందరము. ‘కోప మొకింత లేదు. బుధకోటికి కొంగు బసిండి” అన్న పద్యంలో మంచి తెలుగు నుడికారమూ, అందమైన శైలి ప్రసన్న గంభీరమైన పద్యం నడక కనబడుతుంది. ‘కీర్తి విసరుండు, పాండవాగ్రేసరుండు’, “ఏలవలెశాశ్వతము గాగ, నీ ఘనుండె, యేలవలె నన్యులు” అన్నచో మంచి శబ్దాలంకారాలు ఉన్నాయి. “పాఱఁ జూచిన బరసేన పాలఁజూచు వింటి కొరిగిన రిపురాజి వింటికొరగు”. అనే పాదాల్లో అద్భుతమైన యమకాలంకారం ఉంది. మొత్తంపై చేమకూ పాకాన పడిందన్నమాట నిజము. మా పాఠంలో పద్యాలు చేమకూర కవి కవిత్వానికి నిజమైన మచ్చుతునకలు.

ఉత్తమ పాలనను ‘రామరాజ్యం’తో పోలుస్తారు కదా ! శ్రీరాముని పరిపాలన ఏ విధంగా ఉండేదో తెలుసుకొని నివేదిక రాయండి.

జ. 1) శ్రీరాముడు రాజ్యమును పాలించేటప్పుడు స్త్రీలకు వైధవ్యము ఉండేది కాదు. 2) ప్రజలకు క్రూరమృగముల బాధ లేదు. 3) ప్రజలకు రోగ భయము లేదు. 4) జనాలకు దొంగల భయము లేదు. ప్రజలకు ఎటువంటి కీడు సంభవింపలేదు. పెద్దలు బ్రతికియుండగా వారి పిల్లలు మృతి పొందలేదు. రామరాజ్యంలో ప్రజలంతా ధర్మనిరతులై ఉండేవారు. వారు సంతోషంతో జీవించేవారు. వారంతా శ్రీరాముడినే ధ్యానిస్తూ, ఒకరితో ఒకరు విరోధములు లేకుండా ఉండేవారు. రాముని పాలనలో ప్రజలు దీర్ఘాయుర్దాయములతో ఉండేవారు. వారికి ఎక్కువగా సంతానం ఉండేది. వారికి విచారము – లేదు. ఆరోగ్య భాగ్యముతో వారు వర్ధిల్లారు. ఆ రామరాజ్యంలో ఎవరి నోట విన్నా రాముడి పేరే వినబడేది. వృక్షములు అన్నీ పుష్పఫల భరితంగా ఉండేవి. సకాలంలో వర్షాలు కురిసేవి. చల్లటి గాలి వచ్చేది. ప్రజలు దురాశాపరులు కారు. ప్రజలు ఎవరిపని వారు చేసుకొనేవారు. ప్రజలు ధర్మవర్తనులు. సత్యమునే పలికేవారు. స్వధర్మాన్నే ఆచరించేవారు.

1. ‘ధర్మార్థునులు’ పాఠం ఆధారంగా రాజుకు ఉండవలసిన ఐదు లక్షణాలు తెల్పండి.

2. “యథా రాజా తథా ప్రజా?” – రాజు ఎట్లా ఉంటే, ప్రజలు అట్లే ఉంటారు. ధర్మరాజు మహాపురుషుల మార్గంలో నడుస్తూ, ప్రజారంజకమైన విధానాలతో ధర్మపరిపాలన అందించాడు. ప్రస్తుత పాఠం ఆధారంగా రాజుకు ఉండవలసిన లక్షణాలు – అవి 1) ధర్మ ప్రవర్తన కలిగి ఉండాలి. 2) దానగుణం కల్గి, పూర్తిస్థాయిలో చెయ్యాలి. 3) ముఖప్రీతి మాటలుకాక మనస్ఫూర్తిగా మాట్లాడాలి. 4)ప్రజల సంపదను చూసి అసూయపడకూడదు. 5) రాత్రింబగళ్ళు ధర్మకార్యాలు చేయాలి. 6) కోపం కొంచెం కూడా ఉండకూడదు. 7) మంచి చెడులను తాను ఆలోచించి నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకోవాలి. 8) ఆడంబరాలు లేని స్థిరస్వభావం ఉండాలి. 2. ఒక కుటుంబంలోని అన్నదమ్ములు ఎలా ఉండాలి? జ. అరమరికలు లేని అన్నదమ్ములు ఆణిముత్యాలు, సోదర ప్రేమకు నిలువుటద్దం రామాయణ భారతాలు. శ్రీరాముడు సోదరులైన లక్ష్మణుడు, భరతుడు, శత్రుఘ్నుల పట్ల భ్రాతృప్రేమను చాటాడు. అలాగే రాముని పట్ల మిగిలినవారు అంతటి సోదరభావాన్ని ప్రదర్శించారు. అట్లాగే భారతంలోని పాండవులు స్నేహము, భక్తి, సహనం కలిగి, చిన్నా పెద్దా అనే తేడాలు చూసుకుంటూ, ఒకరిమాట ఒకరు పాటిస్తూ అందరూ ఒకే మనస్సుతో పనులు చేస్తూ, అన్యోన్య ప్రేమతో ప్రవర్తించేవారు. కుటుంబంలోని అన్నదమ్ములు శ్రీరాముని సోదరులను, పాండవులను ఆదర్శంగా తీసుకోవాలి. ఒద్దిక కలవారై ఒకరి మనసు ఒకరు తెలుసుకుని మెలగాలి. 3. చేమకూర వేంకట కవి కవితా శైలిని గూర్చి రాయండి. జ. చేమకూర వేంకట కవి భారత కథలో అవసరమైన చక్కని మార్పులు చేసి, “ప్రతిపద్య చమత్కారం”తో స్వతంత్ర కావ్యంగా “విజయ విలాసము” తీర్చిదిద్దాడు. ఈ ప్రబంధం రఘునాధ నాయకునికి అంకితమివ్వబడింది. ఈ కావ్యంలో శబ్దాలంకారాలు సొగసులతో, తెలుగు నుడికారాలతో, అందమైన శైలి, ప్రసన్న గంభీరమైన పద్యం నడక కనబడుతుంది. విజయ విలాసంలో, చమత్కారం లేని ఒక్క పద్యం కూడా లేదని పేరుపొందాడు. ‘పిల్ల వసుచరిత్ర’ అనే ప్రశంసను పొందిన ఈ కావ్యం, తెలుగులోని పంచమహాకావ్యాలతో సరితూగగలదని విజ్ఞులు తలుస్తారు. 4. “అతని నుతింపశక్యమె’ అని అర్జునుడిని గురించి వేంకటకవి అన్నాడు. అర్జునుడి గొప్పతనాన్ని వివరించండి. 2. అర్జునుడు అన్నల విషయంలోనూ, తమ్ముళ్ళ విషయంలోనూ సమానంగా ప్రవర్తించే వాడనే పేరు పొందిన ఘనుడు. రాజులందరిలోనూ ఎక్కడా ఎదురులేనివాడని ప్రసిద్ధినీ, గొప్పతనాన్ని పొందిన పరాక్రమశాలి. అర్జునుడు సాత్త్వికులు ప్రశంసించే, ధర్మప్రవర్తన కలవాడు. అర్జునుడు అందంలో ఇంద్రుని కుమారుడు జయంతుని అంతటివాడు. దయా స్వభావంలో కృష్ణుడికి ప్రాణమిత్రుడు. యుద్ధ విజయాలలో శివుడితో పోటీపడే వీరుడు. ఈ భూమండలంలో అర్జునుడికి అర్జునుడే సాటియైనవాడు. అర్జునుడు తేరిపార చూస్తే, శత్రు సైన్యం పారిపోడానికి సిద్ధం అవుతుంది. అర్జునుడు విల్లు ఎత్తి పట్టుకోడానికి వంగితే శత్రువులు వీర స్వర్గం దారిపడతారు. అర్జునుడితో సాటి అని చెప్పదగినవాడు, పోల్చదగిన వీరుడు ఈ లోకంలో శ్రీరాముడు తప్ప మరొకరు లేడు.

1. ధర్మరాజు పాలనతో, నేటి నాయకుల పాలనను పోల్చి రాయండి.

జ. ధర్మము తెలిసినవాడు ధర్మరాజు. ధర్మరాజు తాను ఇచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞల ప్రకారం, తాను సహితం ఆచరించేవాడు. శాంతము, దయ, సత్యము అనే సద్గుణాలు కలవాడు. మంచివారిని ఆదరించేవాడు. దానము చేయడంలో ఆసక్తి కలవాడు. ముఖప్రీతి కోసం మాట్లాడేవాడు కాడు. కోపం లేనివాడు. లోకువ చేసేవాడు కాదు. అసూయ లేనివాడు, మెచ్చుకున్నప్పుడు తృప్తిగా ఇచ్చేవాడు. ఇలా కృతయుగ (సత్యకాలం) లక్షణాలతో విరాజిల్లే ధర్మరాజుతో నేటి నాయకుల పాలనను పోల్చడానికి మనసు రావడం లేదు, పెన్ను కదలడం లేదు. ఆకలితో అలమటించేవారికి రూపాయి ఖర్చు పెట్టడానికి ఆలోచించే నేటి నాయకులు ఎన్నికలలో డబ్బును ఎన్ని రూపాల్లో పంచవచ్చో ఇలా పంచేస్తున్నారు. ఓటుకు నోటు ఇచ్చినవాడు తిరిగి మాట మీద నిలబడి మనకు మేలు చేస్తాడని నమ్మడం, ఓటు అమ్ముకోవడం మనం చేస్తున్న దోషాలు, నాణ్యత లేమి ప్రతి పనిలో కనబడుతుంది. ముందుచూపు లేని నాయకుల పాలనలో ప్రజలు ప్రకృతి బీభత్సాలకు పలు ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్నారు. ఆవేశం కలిగిన నాయకులు ప్రజలకు అనర్ధాలే కలిగిస్తున్నారు. పెద్దల సభలలో వారి ప్రవర్తన జుగుప్స కల్గిస్తుంది. ముఖప్రీతి మాటలే చెబుతున్నారు. ప్రజలకు ఇచ్చేటప్పుడు పత్రికల ముందు గొప్ప కోసం తప్ప తృప్తిగా ఇచ్చేది లేదు. ప్రభుత్వ పథకాలు అర్హులు అయిన వారికన్నా అనర్హులకే పొడుగు చేతుల పందేరం అవుతోంది. శాంతి, దయ, సత్యం, మత సహనం అనే లక్షణాలు నామమాత్రంగానే ఉన్నాయి. గాంధీ వంటి మహాత్ముల పేరు చెప్పుకొని బ్రతుకుతున్న నాయకులంతా దేశభక్తిని విడిచి భుక్తి మార్గం వెతుకుతున్నారు. తెల్లరంగు ఛాయలో తమ మలిన హృదయాలను దాచుకుంటున్నారు. త్యాగమూర్తుల ప్రబోధాలకు నీళ్ళిదులుతున్నారు. ఇది కచ్చితంగా కలికాలం. కష్టాల కాలమే.

భాషాంశాలు – పదజాలం:

I. సొంతవాక్యాలు: 1. సోయగం : చెరువు గట్టున ఉన్న మాయింటి సోయగం చూపులకే కాదు, మనస్సుకు హాయినిస్తుంది.

2. ఎవురు : స్నేహితులు నల్వురు ఏవురు వున్నా, మంచివారై ఉండాలని అమ్మ చెప్పింది.

3. కొంగుపసిడి : మా తాతయ్య మాయింటికే కాదు ఊరికే కొంగుపసిడ్ అని అంతా అంటారు.

4. సరాగము : మా ఉమ్మడి కుటుంబంలో సరాగము పండుగ రోజుల్లో కనబడుతుంది.

5. ప్రతిజోదు : మా తెలివితేటలకు ప్రతిజోదు మా మావయ్య అడిగే క్విజ్ ప్రశ్నలు.

6. అసూయపడు . ఎదుటివారి సంపదలకు అసూయపడితే నిద్ర రాదు, ఫలితం ఉండదు.

7. సౌజన్యం : ఆపదలు ఎదురైనప్పుడు మనిషిలో సౌజన్యం బయటపడుతుంది.

8. వన్నె, వాసిగాంచు : వన్నె, వాసిగాంచిన మహాపురుషుల గురించి, చిన్నప్పటి నుండి తెలుసుకొంటే మనకు లక్ష్యం ఏర్పడుతుంది.

9. శాంతి : ఎప్పుడూ బాధ లేకుండా ఉండటం – ఎల్లప్పుడు మనము శాంతినే కోరుకోవాలి.

10. అసూయపడుట : ఈర్ష్యపడుట – పాండవుల ఐశ్వర్యానికి దుర్యోధనుడు అసూయపడాడు.

11. వెలసిరి : అవతరించటం – విష్ణువు భక్త సంరక్షణార్ధమై కలియుగంలో వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి

12. పుణ్యభూమి : గొప్ప భూమి – ధర్మ పరిపాలనా తత్పరులు పాలించిన పుణ్యభూమి మనదేశంలో
