By the Ph.D. Ordinance-2024-25, subject to periodic modifications, Dr Rammanohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya has commenced the admission process for PhD programs in both Full-Time and Part-Time modes across respective disciplines via the Common Entrance Test, more commonly known as CET, which will be conducted in two phases for the RMLAU Phd Admission 2024-25 :

The first phase will consist of a written test.
Personal Interview, which is the Second Phase.

RMLAU PhD entrance exam 2024 will be conducted on 15 April 2024 . The programme is offered in two modes full-time and part-time. It has various departments and multiple specializations for the students. Those who want to secure their admission seat need to prepare for the entrance exam.

RMLAU conducts an Entrance exam for Phd course admission and students wanting to take admission must appear for it, but before appearing for the exam students must have an admit card, which can be downloaded from its official website. College Infrastructure Is Good. Building is recently got reconstructions.Basic infrastructure of the college is good.AC is available in the classes, only fans.smart board is not available here. Labs are available, livings space is clean. Wifi is not available in the campus.

Around 2500 seats are there in ipu for bca course. Seat Allotment process (first counselling) for IPU admissions will begin on June 27, 2019. The seats will be alloted on the basis of merit and preference of colleges and programs of the candidates. I Think It Is Difficult , As The Processing Of Addmisions were Started In The Month Of June, But There Is Still Hope. You Can Contact Different Universities And Check Their Seats Vacancy Status.

I have Dropped out my graduation in 2014 from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University Faizabad, Can I complete my final year exam in 2022?

Hi Amitabh,

B.Tech is usually a 4 years course and it consists of 180 credits. However, if you are unable to do it within 4 years (due to backlogs, taking a break, or any reason whatsoever) you will have extra 3 years to complete all your credits.

In your case, since you dropped out in 2014, already 8 years will have passed by in 2022 and you will be tagged as NFTE (Not Fit for Technical Education). Unfortunately, once you get this tag you can't join in any professional course.

Nevertheless, you can still upskill yourself by pursuing different certification courses which will definitely help you with your jobs.

NDUAT Overview

NDUAT Faizabad Admission: The choice filling and locking for UPTAC BTech counselling 2023 will end on September 17, 2023. The authorities will release the round one result on September 18, 2023. NDUAT Faizabad admission to BTech Agriculture is done based on CUET UG scores. Admission to the rest of the BTech courses is given on the basis of JEE Main scores.

The foundation stone for the Narendra Dev University of Agriculture & Technology was placed on January 15, 1974, at Mashodha, close to Ayodhya-Faizabad city, by the late Smt. Indira Gandhi, the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India at the time. As an officer on special duty, Shri Laxmi Narain Rai, a PCS officer with the Agricultural Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, was assigned. Dr. A.S. Srivastava succeeded him after a few months, taking office in October 1974.

The Uttar Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1958, was amended in 1975 to create the Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (NDUAT). In 1974, the University in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, was founded by the late Smt. Indira Gandhi, Prime Minister of India. The university has agreements with Patanjali, the Litchi Research Institute, and the Central Institute of Subtropical Horticulture (Lucknow) (Muzaffarpur).

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICARState )'s Agriculture Universities include Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (NDUAT). The University is associated with eight institutions and eighteen departments that are dispersed throughout Uttar Pradesh. The primary objective of the Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology placement cell is to establish connections between students and different private businesses in order to arrange for student placement in respected multinational enterprises, governmental organisations, non-profits, and the private sector.

At the undergraduate level, Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology courses offered are in B.Sc., B.F. Sc., B.V. Sc., A.H., and B.Tech. postgraduate courses like the M.Sc. and M.V.Sc. in a variety of specialities. Ph.D. programmes are available in several topics at the research level. The UPCATET state-level entrance test is used to determine NDUAT admission to all courses, which is followed by university-led counselling.

NDUAT Faizabad Admission Dates 2023: UPTAC Counselling

NDUAT Faizabad Admission 2023 for BTech programs is currently open. The schedule for UPTAC Counselling 2023 for BTech admissions is now available. Registration for UPTAC counselling 2023 will commence on July 24, 2023 and will end on August 5, 2023. On August 14, 2023, the UPTAC 2023 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result will be revealed. NDUAT UG admission 2023 is currently open for Agriculture courses via UPCATET 2023, which accepts (B.V.Sc. & A.H) programs. UPCATET 2023 Round 2 will take place on August 7-8, 2023. The selection process for the same can be concluded by August 9, 2023. The UPCATET 2023 Round 2 seat allotment results will be announced on August 17, 2023 .

The university provides four undergraduate programmes in various specialisations. Candidates will be admitted only if they meet the eligibility requirements and perform well in the UPCATET. Moreover, the University and the Medha Learning Foundation have an Agreement in place to teach students. Distinguished academics, scientists, and Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology alumni have given talks to inspire the students.

NDUAT offers professional education that is focused on finding employment in a variety of sectors, including agriculture, horticulture, veterinary science and animal husbandry, home science, agricultural engineering, computer science, biotechnology, and fisheries.

To make it easier to hire the university's departing/passed-out students each year, the directorate of placement has its own wing within the university with a director and deputy director for each position. NDUAT placement cell's major goal is to connect students with various private companies in order to arrange for student placement in reputable global corporations, government agencies, non-profits, and the private sector.

By providing the students with access to university infrastructure, Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology placement cell ensures logistic assistance to the visiting corporations at every stage of the placement process. The main benefit is that it gives students the opportunity to choose from a variety of career alternatives by serving as a conduit between the business and the students. In order to meet the demands and expectations of the competitive job market, the placement cell also works to mentor students as they sharpen their abilities. In order to prepare the students for professional success, the university and Lucknow's Medha Learning Foundation have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

In 2019, 81 students from various colleges of the university were chosen through Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology campus interviews by various Private Companies/ Institutions for the positions of Sales Executive/Sales Representative/Assistant Professor. The specialists from the Imperial School of Agribusiness (ISAB), Ahmedabad, arranged a "Career Orientation Workshop" for the UG students of the various colleges in order to help the students acquire employable skills. The university has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gram Unnati Foundation (GUF), New Delhi, to assist RAWE students.

NDUAT campus interviews, graduates and postgraduate students in a range of disciplines were offered the chance to work for commercial and public sector enterprises. 47 students were chosen this year through campus interviews by Zeneva Crops Science Pvt. Ltd. in Lucknow.

The house has recommended the following variety of aonla (Emblica Officinalis Gaertn. ), known as "Narendra Aonla-25," following thorough discussion at the 25th Annual Meeting of Research Workers Group of AICRP on AZF held virtually at ICAR-Central Institute for Arid Horticulture, Bikaner during 26–28 February, 2021.

Also, enough planting material of the identified variety "Narendra Aonla-25" may be manufactured for distribution to local farmers. It should also be evaluated at various sites and added to the chain of transfer technology with PC Cell's permission.

This species of plant grows erect and widely spaced. Grey in colour is the trunk. Sparse foliage is turned on the branches. Little elliptical leaves with a blunt tip. Branchlets range in hue from pale green to pink. Inflorescence Long and coloured pinkish green (g) Fruit was long and oval, and it was dark brown in colour. Medium-sized, flattened fruits with a creamy golden colour, smooth, semi-transparent skin, slender and short in stature. It is challenging to separate six matched segments. oval-shaped stone that is medium in size. Fruits are great for manufacturing preserves and have high keeping qualities. Flowering begins in the latter week of February. young adulthood. Fruit necrosis symptoms start to show up very slowly. lush plant growth in a semi-arid area nourished by rain.

Narendra Chara Bajra-3 /NDFB-3

The Central Sub-Committee on Standards, Notification and Release of Varieties, New Delhi (CVRC), released and notified this variety in 2011 after it was created via the mass selection breeding technique. In the states of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, the single cut technique has been advised for cultivation during the Kharif and Zaid seasons on normal and salt-affected soils.

Narendra Chara Bajra-3 /NDFB-3 is a fodder bajra variety with medium duration of maturity, tall and erect plant type, broad and dark green leaves, high grain yield (18-20 q/ha) with green biomass (normal soil-380-440 q/ha & salt affected soils-300-320q/ha); dry matter yield (normal soil-110-120q/ha and salt affected soils-70-100q/ha); crude protein yield (8.5-9.2 q/ha); crude protein content 8.

Department of Silviculture & Agroforestry : The ICAR (New Delhi) supported a research project under the name of "All India Coordinated Research Project on Agroforestry" under the administrative supervision of the Department of Horticulture of this University in response to the urgent demand for forestry in general and agroforestry in particular. In 1987–88, the programme was then transferred to a fully functional Department of Forestry.

The Uttar Pradesh government then changed the department into a non-plan programme in the years 1990 and 1991. A college for forestry and horticulture was founded in July 2006. The forestry department has been split into two divisions: (1) the department of agroforestry, and (2) the department of forest ecology and environment. The department of agroforestry was renamed the department of silviculture & agroforestry in accordance with AC Meeting No. ANDUAT-02/277AC/2020/121 on 06-06-2020.

The department's goals were to increase and diversify the number of undergrad students, enhance the standard of learning environments, and educate students in the field of agroforestry so they would be resourceful in the socioeconomic aspects of related technology, the management of water resources, and crop cultivation.

Department of Floriculture and Landscaping : In 2006, the university launched its department of horticulture and landscaping. Beginning with the 2022–23 academic year, an M.Sc. (Hort.) Floriculture & Landscaping degree programme was offered. For undergrads, the department provides agriculture courses. HCOM Class of 2024 graduate Ashleigh Chiedo

Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Class of 2024 graduate Ashleigh Chiedo was born in Yonkers, New York but raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She received her bachelor's degree in exercise physiology at Florida State University and later completed her master's in biomedical and Health Sciences at the University Alabama, Birmingham. She will be doing a family medicine residency at Emory University in Atlanta.

What was your childhood like? Who were your inspirations? Was there anything critical that happened that brought you to this point in life?

My childhood was instrumental in creating the person I am today. Both my parents were born and raised in Nigeria and came to the U.S. in search of creating a life with limitless opportunities. My inspirations are my family members. Being the oldest of four children, I have been molded by those closest to me. However, [my inspirations] also include mentors I met along the way. Having parents working in health care, I was always more inclined to follow suit, but when my dad fell ill during my transition from grade school to high school that is when my fate was sealed. I knew from then on, serving others through the care I provide was going to be a part of who I am.

What led you to medical school?

I held a number of jobs in health care from medical scribe, surgical technician and medical assistant in between the degrees I completed. Through those experiences I witnessed gaps in care, I was an ally when health disparities were present, and I admired leadership that looked beyond and saw the bigger picture. I quickly realized I not only wanted to work in health care, but I also wanted to be a leader. Leaders are not merely born, they are created. I believe the hardships and challenges I faced has allowed me to be well suited to carry out leadership roles in the future, and I knew medical school was an essential part of that journey.

What was the most impactful experience you had while in medical school?

The most impactful experience I had in medical school was during my time as the student director of community outreach. I wanted to leave a legacy that would help propel our community forward. I drew up a blueprint for an OU-HCOM Public Day of Service and shared it with my counterparts on the Cleveland and Athens campuses as well as with school leadership. I then started coordinating how to create an opportunity where we would kick off National Osteopathic Medicine Week with students on all three campuses volunteering and giving back to their local communities. We were able to set up in-person engagements as well as canned food drives all in an effort to show gratitude to the areas we are training in. We successfully executed this wonderful act, and the next year its blueprint was used to make it a national initiative that now all osteopathic medical schools enact each year. This national tradition is two years strong and my contribution made that possible, and for that it is my most impactful experience!

What was the most important lesson you learned while in medical school?

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Medicine and leadership hinges on teamwork. It is important to learn how to best conduct yourself in team environments, because you can accomplish more with not only help but a diversity of ideas and backgrounds enriching your efforts. As medical students, we are all high achievers, but no one is above collaboration and teamwork.

Were you involved in research? If so, could you share more about what you worked on?

I have been heavily involved in research. I completed a Summer Research Fellowship at Mayo Clinic between my first and second year of medical school. During this time, I worked on a project with Astra Zeneca, a major pharmaceutical company, on learning the intricacies of pulmonary hypertension and its effects on human tissue so that we can better create a drug that can target the disease progression. I went on to submit a paper for a different project within the Mayo Clinic network that looked at how female hormones can impact bronchial smooth muscle cells in those with respiratory ailments. My most recent publication was with an infectious disease team at University of Alabama Birmingham. This project addressed the disproportionality in which HIV affects those of color in the South. The aim of this project was to create programs in the local high schools that will not only provide insight but also empower that same population to seek jobs in health care in an effort to change future outcomes.

What are you most excited about for your future?

I am most excited about becoming a family medicine physician and working in academics and leadership addressing the things I am most passionate about. Being able to complete my training at Emory University is going to set me up for success in many ways while allowing me to work with a population I am eager to serve. I am looking forward to being a mentor and being part of this rising generation of doctors who are dedicated to meeting the needs of their communities by being as broadly trained as possible. I am also, on a personal note, looking forward to getting married June 2024 and becoming a wife and future mother. Family is who made me who I am, and I can’t wait to build a strong one of my own!

Who has helped you along the way? Is there anyone you want to recognize?

Becoming a physician takes a village. I have a wonderful one which starts with my parents, Mark and Emilia Chiedo. I also have my wonderful siblings to thank: Brandon, Chelsea and Dylan Chiedo! My grandmother, Virginia, has also been very instrumental in my perseverance. Additionally, I would like to thank my fiancé, Thomas Eyre, for his unwavering support from the time we met in 2016. I am grateful for his parents, Bob and Sue Eyre, his siblings, Dan and Sammie, as well as their nurturing extended families who have supported me every step of the way.

How do you like to spend your free time?

In my free time I love to travel and see new parts of the world. I also love to cook, go to shows or concerts, play golf and spend time with loved ones!

What didn’t I ask that you’d like to share?

My parting words are that I urge you to “find your people” and “go where you are celebrated, not tolerated.” These two things were shared with me by mentors and has been constant reminders. The former refers to in your professional and personal life find those who make you better, who see the good you want to do and are doing similar, and whose values align with your own. The latter refers to never settling. In life you will be faced with many choices, but you should never have to choose between being yourself and being what others want you to be. Be steadfast in your pursuit of finding places that are overjoyed to have YOU and see your worth. Thank you OU-HCOM for seeing my worth and helping me grow as a rising physician. Go Bobcats!

10 facts about today’s college graduates

Having a bachelor’s degree remains an important advantage in many sectors of the U.S. labor market. College graduates generally out-earn those who have not attended college, and they are more likely to be employed in the first place. At the same time, many Americans say they cannot afford to get a four-year degree – or that they just don’t want to.

Here are key facts about American college graduates.

This Pew Research Center analysis about U.S. college graduates relies on data from sources including the Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the National Center for Education Statistics, the National Student Clearinghouse and the Federal Reserve Bank, as well as surveys conducted by the Center.

Everyone who took the Pew Research Center surveys cited is a member of the Center’s American Trends Panel (ATP), an online survey panel that is recruited through national, random sampling of residential addresses. This way nearly all U.S. adults have a chance of selection. The survey is weighted to be representative of the U.S. adult population by gender, race, ethnicity, partisan affiliation, education and other categories. Read more about the ATP’s methodology .

Nearly four-in-ten Americans ages 25 and older have a bachelor’s degree, a share that has grown over the last decade. As of 2021, 37.9% of adults in this age group held a bachelor’s degree, including 14.3% who also obtained a graduate or professional degree, according to data from the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey. That share is up 7.5 percentage points from 30.4% in 2011.

An additional 10.5% had an associate degree in 2021. About four-in-ten Americans ages 25 and older had a high school diploma with no further education (25.3%) or completed some college but didn’t have a degree (14.9%).

In a reversal, women are now more likely than men to graduate from college, according to the Current Population Survey . In 2021, 39% of women ages 25 and older had a bachelor’s degree or more education, compared with 37% of men in the same age range. The gap in college completion is even wider among adults ages 25 to 34: 46% of women in this age group have at least a bachelor’s degree, compared with 36% of men.

In an October 2021 Pew Research Center survey of Americans without a degree, 34% of men said a major reason why they have not received a four-year college degree is that they just didn’t want to. Only one-in-four women said the same. Men were also more likely to say a major reason they didn’t have a four-year degree is that they didn’t need more education for the job or career they wanted (26% of men said this vs. 20% of women).

Women (44%) were more likely than men (39%) to say not being able to afford college was a major reason they don’t have a bachelor’s degree. Men and women were about equally likely to say a major impediment was needing to work to help support their family.

There are racial and ethnic differences in college graduation patterns, as well as in the reasons for not completing a degree. Among adults ages 25 and older, 61% of Asian Americans have a bachelor’s degree or more education, along with 42% of White adults, 28% of Black adults and 21% of Hispanic adults, according to 2021 Current Population Survey data. The share of bachelor’s degree holders in each group has increased since 2010. That year, 52% of Asian Americans had a four-year degree or more, compared with a third of White adults, 20% of Black adults and 14% of Hispanic adults.

The October 2021 Center survey found that among adults without a bachelor’s degree, Hispanic adults (52%) were more likely than those who are White (39%) or Black (41%) to say a major reason they didn’t graduate from a four-year college is that they couldn’t afford it. Hispanic and Black adults were more likely than their White counterparts to say needing to work to support their family was a major reason.

While a third of White adults said not wanting to go to school was a major reason they didn’t complete a four-year degree, smaller shares of Black (22%) and Hispanic (23%) adults said the same. White adults were also more likely to cite not needing more education for the job or career they wanted. (There weren’t enough Asian adults without a bachelor’s degree in the sample to analyze separately.)

Only 62% of students who start a degree or certificate program finish their program within six years, according to the most recent data from the National Student Clearinghouse , a nonprofit verification and research organization that tracked first-time college students who enrolled in fall 2015 with the intent of pursuing a degree or certificate. The degree completion rate for this group was highest among students who started at four-year, private, nonprofit schools (78.3%), and lowest among those who started at two-year public institutions (42.2%).

Business is the most commonly held bachelor’s degree, followed by health professions. According to the National Center for Education Statistics , about a fifth (19%) of the roughly 2 million bachelor’s degrees conferred in 2019-20 were in business. Health professions and related programs were the second most-popular field, making up 12.6% of degrees conferred that year. Business has been the single most common major since 1980-81; before that, education led the way.

The least common bachelor’s degrees in 2019-20 were in military technologies and applied sciences (1,156 degrees conferred in 2019-20), library science (118), and precision production (39).

There is a growing earnings gap between young college graduates and their counterparts without degrees. In 2021, full-time workers ages 22 to 27 who held a bachelor’s degree, but no further education, made a median annual wage of $52,000, compared with $30,000 for full-time workers of the same age with a high school diploma and no degree, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This gap has widened over time. Young bachelor’s degree holders earned a median annual wage of $48,481 in 1990, compared with $35,257 for full-time workers ages 22 to 27 with a high school diploma.

The unemployment rate is lower for college graduates than for workers without a bachelor’s degree, and that gap widened as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. In February 2020, just before the COVID-19 outbreak began in the U.S., only 1.9% of college graduates ages 25 and older were unemployed, compared with 3.1% of workers who completed some college but not a four-year degree, and 3.7% of workers with only a high school diploma. By June 2020, after the pandemic hit, 6.8% of college grads, 10.8% of workers with some college, and 12.2% of high school grads were unemployed.

By March 2022, the unemployment rate had nearly returned to pre-pandemic levels for college graduates (2%) while dropping to 3% among those with some college education but no four-year degree, and 4% among those with only a high school diploma.

Recent college graduates are more likely than graduates overall to be underemployed – that is, working in jobs that typically do not require a college degree, according to an analysis of Census Bureau and BLS data by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York . As of December 2021, 41% of college graduates ages 22 to 27 were underemployed, compared with 34% among all college graduates. The underemployment rates for recent college grads rose in 2020 as the COVID-19 outbreak strained the job market, but have since returned to pre-pandemic levels.

As of the end of 2021, only 34% of underemployed graduates ages 22 to 27 worked what the Fed defines as “good non-college jobs” – those paying at least $45,000 a year – down from around half in the 1990s. The share of underemployed graduates ages 22 to 27 in low-wage jobs – those earning less than $25,000 annually – rose from about 9% in 1990 to 11% last year.

When it comes to income and wealth accumulation, first-generation college graduates lag substantially behind those with college-educated parents, according to a May 2021 Pew Research Center analysis . Households headed by a first-generation college graduate – that is, someone who has completed at least a bachelor’s degree but does not have a parent with a college degree – had a median annual income of $99,600 in 2019, compared with $135,800 for households headed by those with at least one parent who graduated from college. The median wealth of households headed by first-generation college graduates ($152,000) also trailed that of households headed by someone with a parent who graduated from college ($244,500). The higher household income of the latter facilitates saving and wealth accumulation.

The gap also reflects differences in how individuals finance their education. Second-generation college graduates tend to come from more affluent families , while first-generation college graduates are more likely to incur education debt than those with a college-educated parent.

Most Americans with college degrees see value in their experience. In the Center’s October 2021 survey , majorities of graduates said their college education was extremely or very useful when it came to helping them grow personally and intellectually (79%), opening doors to job opportunities (70%) and developing specific skills and knowledge that could be used in the workplace (65%).

Younger college graduates were less likely than older ones to see value in their college education. For example, only a third of college graduates younger than 50 said their college experience was extremely useful in helping them develop skills and knowledge that could be used in the workplace. Among college graduates ages 50 and older, 45% said this.
