The University offers Ph.D (External Registration) in Spatial Information Technology as Interdisciplinary/ Multi-disciplinary.
Eligibility criteria for the candidates to apply for the Ph.D Programme (as per JNTUK Ph.D. Notification 2015)
- Candidates applying for Ph.D should have Post Graduate (PG) qualification in the concerned disciplines from any UGC recognized State / Central / Private University / Premier National Institutes, with 60% marks for categories of OC and OBC candidates, 55% marks for SC and ST candidates. Relaxation of 5%
- Candidates applying for Ph.D research programme under external registration should have minimum of two years experience in Educational Institutions / R & D organizations / Industries.
- Admission to the above program shall be made subject to the eligibility, qualifications and specialization prescribed by the University from time to time.
- Admissions shall be made on the basis of merit rank obtained by the qualifying candidate at an Entrance Test conducted by the University or on the basis of any other order of merit approved by the University, subject to reservations prescribed by the university from time to time.

Courses offered at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada comprise of multiple courses at the UG, PG and doctoral levels. At the undergraduate level, B.Tech and B.Pharm courses are offered. B.Tech courses are offered in multiple specialisations like civil engineering, mechanical engineering, CSE, EEE, ECE and so on. All the JNTUK courses are either approved by AICTE or PCI. B.Tech courses are AICTE approved and B.Pharm is approved by PCI. The JNTUK course duration for UG courses is four years. In the case of PG courses, JNTUK offers admission in M.Tech, M.Pharm and MBA courses. JNTUK M.Pharm course is offered under the specialisations pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical analysis and pharmacology; and these JNTU Kakinada courses are approved by PCI. JNTUK M.Tech course as well as MBA is approved by AICTE and the seat intake is 18. Candidates who are willing to enrol themselves in any of these courses must make sure that they meet the JNTUK eligibility criteria . Candidates must pass 10 + 2 with at least 50% (general category) marks in aggregate to take admission in any of the B.Tech specialisation courses. As per the JNTUK fees structure , the course fees are different from one another. The JNTUK fees are updated every year during the admission session. Candidates who are shortlisted will be communicated the updated JNTUK fee structure at the time of fee payment.
