How to Complete Professor Sharp’s Assignment 2 – Hogwarts Legacy Guide
There are many potions available in Hogwarts Legacy. And thanks to Professor Sharp’s Assignments, we will get the chance to try them all out! I would advise you to keep tabs on what you consume in the Wizarding World if it was real, but since this is a game, well, go ahead and continue your potion tasting. Here is how to complete Professor Sharp’s Assignment 2 in Hogwarts Legacy.
How to Complete Professor Sharp’s Assignment 2
In case you were wondering, yes, you will need to complete Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1 to begin Assignment 2. Numbers! Anyway, this assignment will be really similar to the previous one. You will be tasked by Professor Sharp, our Potions Master, to go ahead and test two new potions. This time, we will test the Invisibility and Thunderbrew potions.
To get both potions, go ahead and travel to J. Pippin’s Potions, in Hogsmeade. You can either buy each potion or buy the recipe to brew them yourself. The former option is much easier and cheaper. One Invisibility Potion will cost 500 gold, with its recipe costing 800 gold. One Thunderbrew Potion costs 1000 gold, while its recipe costs 1200 gold. Once you have collected both potions, drink them and battle some enemies with the Thunderbrew. Then return to Professor Sharp to complete the quest and learn the Diffindo spell. Here is a table with both potion’s ingredients if you would like to know them.
Related : How to Complete Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1 – Hogwarts Legacy Guide
There you go! Professor Sharp’s approach to potion brewing, consisting of us drinking all available potions, is really a unique one, right? Like I said before, I hope that combining those concoctions won’t make our stomach have a very non-magical journey, if you know what I mean.
Hogwarts Legacy is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Windows. Acquire and Use an Invisibility Potion
This is relatively straight forward and easy. If you haven’t done the quest A Demanding Delivery yet, this is the time because during the short quest you will use an invisibility potion, hitting two owls with one curse (is that the saying?). However, if you prefer a faster route, you can simply hop over to J. Pippin’s Potions and buy the potion for 500 galleons.
Yet, there is a bit of a trade-off with buying the potion. If you have the money, you might consider investing in the recipe for the potion instead. It is only 300 galleons more (800 total) and you will be able to make the potions at your discretion in the future. It will still be even more expensive though if you don’t have the ingredients, which you’ll have to buy.
If you choose the more expensive option and buy the recipe, you will need these ingredients to make the potion (note that you can buy them as well in Hogsmeade):
- Leaping Toadstool Cap (1) – 150 galleons (Pippin’s)
- Knot Grass Sprig (1) – 150 galleons ( The Magic Neep )
- Troll Bogeys (1) – 100 galleons (Pippin’s)
Acquire and Use a Thunderbrew Potion against Enemies
Just like with the invisibility potion, you can buy this potion at J. Pippin’s Potions, except this potion is much more expensive at 1000 galleons . Again, if you’re rolling in the galleons, then maybe buy the recipe instead for 1200 galleons.
Here are the ingredients you will need for the recipe:
- Leech Juice (1) – 150 galleons (Pippin’s)
- Shrivelfig Fruit (1) – 150 galleons (Magic Neep)
- Stench of the Dead (1) – 100 galleons (Pippin’s)

Hogwarts Legacy Sophronia Franklin Quiz Guide
Quick links, sophronia's quiz is part of professor weasley's assignment, the first round of sophronia's quiz is short and simple, the second round of sophronia's quiz is longer and more difficult, the final round of sophronia's quiz requires deep knowledge of the harry potter world.
It's important to remember the ongoing controversial statements by the creator of the Harry Potter franchise. CBR supports the hard work of industry professionals on properties fans know and love, and the wider world of Harry Potter that fans have adopted as their own. You can find CBR's continuing coverage on J.K. Rowling here .
There are a wide variety of things for players to do in Hogwarts Legacy , from completing meaningful quests to making a hammer magically strike an anvil on its own. The Wizarding World is full of surprises that make it a fun and immersive experience for gamers. One of those surprises comes in the form of a peculiar student named Sophronia Franklin.
Late in the main story, Professor Weasley tasks players with retrieving a Field Guide Page from a book in the Library. However, Sophronia has pulled the book off of its pedestal and playfully refuses to give it up until players participate in a fun quiz about Wizarding World history. Although the page can be retrieved after completing the first round of Sophronia's quiz, if players manage to complete all three of its rounds with a perfect score, they will be rewarded for their effort.
Updated on March 21, 2024 by Noelle Warner: Despite its controversy upon release, Hogwarts Legacy has remained one of the most popular AAA game releases of the last year. Players were delighted to get sorted into their Hogwarts house, explore the castle, and generally enjoy the iconic franchise in a greater capacity. This guide has been updated with even more information about Sophronia's quiz and the surrounding quest in Hogwarts Legacy, and the formatting has also been updated to adhere to CBR's current editorial standards.
Sophronia's quiz is part of an assignment from Professor Weasley, which is a type of quest that rewards players with new spells. Professor Weasley's assignment will unlock after the player has completed the main quest "Fire and Vice," and requires a few steps in order to complete it:
- Collect the Field Guide Page from the Underground Harbour
- Collect the Field Guide Page from the Transfiguration book in the library
- Attend Transfiguration Class
- Speak to Professor Weasley
While acquiring the Field Guide Page in the Underground Harbour is a simple matter of retrieval, getting the Page from the library is a bit more difficult. Players will need to go to the library, go up the stairs, and find Sophronia Franklin standing in the corner. She standing near the exact book the player needs to move forward in the assignment, and they'll need to answer some of her questions in order to retrieve the book and complete the quest. Note that the player doesn't need to answer all of Sophronia's questions correctly to get the Field Guide Page — it will simply be accessible after talking to her.
In line with Sophronia's placement in the Ravenclaw house, she asks a series of trivia questions having to do with the lore of Harry Potter . The multiple choice questions also get harder as each round goes on, but thankfully, all of the correct answers that the player will need are listed below.
10 Most Overpowered Spell Combos In Hogwarts Legacy
The first round of Sophronia's quiz consists of five questions that are fairly easy to answer, especially for die-hard fans of Harry Potter . Here are the questions and the answers.

4. Which ball in Quidditch is the largest?
Answer: The Quaffle.
5. True or False: Polyjuice Potion allows the drinker to change species.
Answer: False.
Once the first round of questions is over, Sophronia places the book back on its pedestal, and players can end the quiz and retrieve the Field Guide Page. However, she offers to ask more difficult questions to those who are interested.
Hogwarts Legacy: The Pros & Cons Of Each House
While the first round is only five questions long, the second round is double that. You'll also find this one a bit more challenging without much knowledge of the Wizarding World.

Answer: The Peruvian Vipertooth.

10. What is the most powerful love potion known to wizardkind?

After making a curious comment about being attracted to dusty book covers, Sophronia once again offers you the option of ending the quiz. If you choose to continue, she provides one final round of 10 questions.
10 Harry Potter Games Fans Want To See After Hogwarts Legacy
The final quiz requires a knowledge of Harry Potter lore that many fans of the series are not likely to possess. Fortunately, you'll find the answer to each question below.

Of course, players will also be able to go on and finish out Professor Weasley's assignment, which will grant them access to the Transformation spell that transforms objects and enemies into random objects and breaks through yellow Shield Charms.

Where To Find All The Lifeless Paintings In Hogwarts Legacy
There are lifeless paintings scattered all around the world of Hogwarts Legacy that need to be brought back to life. Here's where to find them all.
Of all the riddles in Avalanche Software's new title, Hogwarts Legacy , none is more mysterious than its lifeless paintings. These paintings begin as nothing more than an empty frame, but with a little legwork, players can bring them back to life and reap valuable rewards for their efforts. These quirky puzzles are pretty easy to solve, but it takes some time to find them all. However, players will want to get them, so they can fully complete Hogwarts Legacy. For information on how to solve the lifeless painting puzzles in general, here's a helpful guide.
The quest to solve every lifeless painting in Hogwarts Legacy begins upon speaking to Lenora Everleigh in Central Hall shortly after the game's introduction. The quest, cleverly titled "Like a Moth to a Frame," tasks players with first solving one painting as a tutorial of sorts. Then players are free to solve the others they discover as they play through Hogwarts Legacy . As there is a multitude of paintings scattered around the world of Legacy , here is a guide on where to find all 20 of them, both in Hogwarts and Hogsmeade and the moths that are needed to bring them back to life — which are usually a bit challenging to spot.
Updated on May 2, 2024, by Andrea Sandoval: Hogwarts Legacy is full of interesting puzzles and secrets that make the outstanding school feel magical and real. The lifeless paintings can be a bit challenging to find, but it's also fun to uncover the clever Easter eggs around the complex and majestic halls of the castle. We updated this article to include more information about how to solve Hogwarts Legacy's mysterious paintings as well as include CBR's new formatting style.
How To Solve The Lifeless Paintings In Hogwarts Legacy
- Lumos is the very first spell players learn in Hogwarts Legacy. Professor Fig teaches it to them during the Path to Hogwarts quest, before the game officially begins.
Hogwarts Legacy: How to Solve All Hogwarts Secrets (& What It Gets You)
The lifeless paintings in Hogwarts Legacy are easier to solve than they are to find. Players will find the paintings throughout their adventures in several places around the school and Hogsmeade . The easiest way to get to them is using the spell Revelio, which highlights any puzzle or interactive element around the game with a blue halo. The paintings are recognizable for their particular oval-shaped form. Once players stumble upon one of them, they need to use the spell Lumos in front of the painting. This will reveal an image with the location of the moth that belongs to the painting.
Usually, the location is near the painting, but some moths are farther away than others, meaning players will have to do a bit of exploring. Revelio also works for finding the moths, but since they're small objects, players need to be close to them for it to work. What's more, they are not very perceptible, so players also have to pay a lot of attention to their surroundings. Once players find the moth, they simply have to use the spell Lumos. The moth will follow the player from then on, as long as they keep the spell activated. When players reach the lifeless painting with the moth, they just have to deactivate Lumos or use a basic attack. The moth will fly directly into the painting. The puzzle will permanently disappear and players will earn a field guide page.
Where To Find Every Lifeless Painting In Hogwarts
- To learn Level 1 Alohomora, players will have to talk to Gladwin Moon to initiate the "The Caretakes Lunar Lament" quest and retrieve the Demiguise Statues.
- To learn the Depulso spell, players have to complete Jackdaw's Rest quest, after which they have to complete Professor Sharp's first assignment, which will teach them the Depulso spell.
Hogwarts Legacy's Most Useful Spell (& How to Unlock It)
There are 15 lifeless paintings to find in Hogwarts, with only a few of them requiring the use of a Level 1 Alohomora spell to unlock the doors they lie behind. One painting does require the Depulso spell, however, so make sure you unlock it before attempting to locate every painting. Also, Revelio is extremely helpful in finding them, as it highlights their exact locations. Here are all 15 of Hogwarts' lifeless paintings, where to find them, and where to find their moths.
Where To Find Every Lifeless Painting In Hogsmeade
Hogwarts legacy: 10 best puzzles.
While there are 15 paintings you can find in Hogwarts, there are only five in Hogsmeade. Fortunately, though, these are all the lifeless paintings in the game. Players don't have to worry about finding other painting puzzles in the Highlands or any other location. These don't require any special spells, but Revelio is helpful in highlighting their locations, as always. Here are all five of Hogsmeade's lifeless paintings, where to find them, and where to find their moths as well.
