Importance Of Earth Day

The only planet where life exists is Earth. It's special and the only location we have. It will put our very existence in peril if we can't keep it safe.

Numerous factors are necessary for life on Earth. For life to exist on Earth, there must be land, water, soil, forests, and air. But unregulated resource consumption, deforestation, pollution, climatic shifts, and other factors have seriously harmed the Earth's environment.

Earth Day serves as a reminder that sustainable living is necessary for ecological balance now more than ever. It serves as a reminder about how crucial it is to preserve ecosystems, nature, and other forms of life.

On Earth Day, we are reminded to act right away to stop the harmful effects of climate change.

How We Celebrated Earth Day In School

Last year, my school enthusiastically celebrated Earth Day. A special assembly was held wherein students presented their views about how the Earth could be protected and sustainable development be facilitated. Each class planted a sapling a promised to nurture it. Children also made posters around the theme “Earth Day” which were put up on the multiple display boards across the school. The activities helped students understand the importance of conserving the planet and also the ways to do so.

ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਭ ਦੀ ਜਨਨੀ, ਅੱਜ ਰੁਲਦੀ ਜਾਵਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਮਾਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ,ਰੋਵਾਂ ਕਰਲਾਵਾਂ।

ਇਹਨਾ ਵੱਢਿਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜੋ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਛਾਵਾਂ। ਇਹਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੀਆਂ , ਸੀ ਸਵੱਸਤ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ।

ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲਾ ਧੂੰਆਂ ਅੰਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਲੈ ਲਈਆਂ ਅੱਜ ਵਿਚ ਕਲਾਵੇ।

Punjab: AAP's Karamjit Singh Anmol, BJP's Subhash Sharma file papers on last day of nomination

Chandigarh, May 14 (PTI) AAP candidate and Punjabi actor Karamjit Singh Anmol and BJP nominee Subhash Sharma on Tuesday filed their nomination papers for their respective Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.

Tuesday is the last day for filing nominations in Punjab, where voting is to be held in the last phase of the seven-phase national elections on June 1.

Scrutiny of papers will take place on May 15 and the last date for the withdrawal of nominations is May 17.

Aam Aadmi Party nominee Anmol filed his papers for the Faridkot parliamentary constituency. Before filing his nomination papers, Anmol and his family members and party leaders offered prayers at gurdwara Godri Sahib.

He also took out a roadshow from Kotkapura to Faridkot, with actors Gippy Grewal and Binnu Dhillon, Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, AAP MLAs Amandeep Kaur Arora, Manjit Singh Bilaspur, Amritpal Singh Sukhanand, Devinder Singh Ladidhose and Balkar Singh Sidhu participating in it.

Anmol is pitted against BJP nominee Hans Raj Hans, Congress candidate Amarjit Kaur Sahoke and Shiromani Akali Dal's Rajwinder Singh from the Faridkot seat.

Congress candidate Amar Singh and BJP's Gejja Ram Valmiki filed their papers from the Fatehgarh Sahib constituency.

BJP candidate from the Anandpur Sahib constituency Subhash Sharma filed his papers in Rupnagar district.

Sharma was accompanied by Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and party leaders Kewal Singh Dhillon and Sanjiv Vashisht.

Sharma is facing Congress nominee Vijay Inder Singla, AAP's Malvinder Singh Kang and SAD's Prem Singh Chandumajra for the seat.

Polling for 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab will be held on June 1.

 ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਨੌਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਮਾਂ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਸਵਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

 ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਪੜ੍ਹੀ-ਲਿਖੀ ਔਰਤ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਉਹ ਘਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰਾਹ ਖਿਆਲ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਏ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਹੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਭਾਲਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੀ ਦਿਨਚਰਿਆ ਸਵੇਰੇ 4:00 ਵਜੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਵੇਰੇ 4:00 ਵਜੇ ਉੱਠਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪੂਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਲਈ ਨਾਸ਼ਤਾ ਪਕਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸਕੂਲ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ਼ਤਾ ਕਰਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਨਾਸ਼ਤਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗੀ ਮਾਂ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗੀ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾ ਵੀ ਹਨ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹੋਮਵਰਕ ਨਿਪਟਾਉਣ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਘਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਵੀ ਮਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖੂਬੀ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਰੀਤੀ-ਰਿਵਾਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਬੜੀ ਲਗਨ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਰੀਤੀ-ਰਿਵਾਜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ, ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਕ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਕ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅੱਖਰ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ, ਬੋਲਣਾ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ। ਸਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਰਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਸਿਖਾਇਆ। ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਜਣੇ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮਾਂ ਆਪ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਜਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖ ਸਕਦੀ। ਮਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸੋਚਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਈਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ, ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲਣ ਦਾ ਸਬਕ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਅਕਸਰ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼, ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸਰਵਉੱਚ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਮਾਂ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਛੋਟੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰੱਬ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿ ਸਕੇ। ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਅਨਮੋਲ ਤੋਹਫ਼ਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੈ।

ਸਾਡੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀਮਤ ਹੈ:- ਸਾਡੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸੀਮਿਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇ ਵਰਤਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੀਮਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਜ਼ੂਲ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Chandigarh, May 14 (PTI) AAP candidate and Punjabi actor Karamjit Singh Anmol and BJP nominee Subhash Sharma on Tuesday filed their nomination papers for their respective Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.

Tuesday is the last day for filing nominations in Punjab, where voting is to be held in the last phase of the seven-phase national elections on June 1.

Scrutiny of papers will take place on May 15 and the last date for the withdrawal of nominations is May 17.

Aam Aadmi Party nominee Anmol filed his papers for the Faridkot parliamentary constituency. Before filing his nomination papers, Anmol and his family members and party leaders offered prayers at gurdwara Godri Sahib.

He also took out a roadshow from Kotkapura to Faridkot, with actors Gippy Grewal and Binnu Dhillon, Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, AAP MLAs Amandeep Kaur Arora, Manjit Singh Bilaspur, Amritpal Singh Sukhanand, Devinder Singh Ladidhose and Balkar Singh Sidhu participating in it.

Anmol is pitted against BJP nominee Hans Raj Hans, Congress candidate Amarjit Kaur Sahoke and Shiromani Akali Dal’s Rajwinder Singh from the Faridkot seat.

Congress candidate Amar Singh and BJP’s Gejja Ram Valmiki filed their papers from the Fatehgarh Sahib constituency.

BJP candidate from the Anandpur Sahib constituency Subhash Sharma filed his papers in Rupnagar district.

Sharma was accompanied by Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and party leaders Kewal Singh Dhillon and Sanjiv Vashisht.

Sharma is facing Congress nominee Vijay Inder Singla, AAP’s Malvinder Singh Kang and SAD’s Prem Singh Chandumajra for the seat.
