26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਤੇ ਲੇਖ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿੱਚ

15 ਅਗਸਤ, 1947 ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਲੋੜ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ। ਇਸ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਸਭਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਜੋ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ, 1950 ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਰਾਜ (Republic) ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਾਜ ਇਸ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਦਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਿੰਦੁਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਬੜੀ ਧੂਮਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੁੱਖ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਜੇ ਚੌਂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦਸਤਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਘੋੜ ਸਵਾਰ, ਊਠ ਸਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਰੰਗ ਬਰੰਗੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਵਰਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਪਰੇਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਕੂਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਪਰੇਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਤਿਰੰਗੇ ਝੰਡੇ ਲਹਿਰਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਨਜ਼ਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਭਾਰਤਵਾਸੀ ਰੇਡੀਓ ਅਤੇ ਟੀ. ਵੀ. ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਨਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਬੜੀ ਧੂਮਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ, ਮੁੱਖ-ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਡੀ. ਸੀ., ਐਸ. ਡੀ. ਐਮ. ਆਦਿ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪਰੇਡ ਤੋਂ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਸਭ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਮਹਾਨ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਾਸੀਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕਿੰਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਫਾਂਸੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਤਖ਼ਤੇ ਚੁੰਮੇ, ਕਿੰਨਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਦ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੋਗੇ। ਕਿੰਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਠੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਸਹੀ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਨਥੱਕ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਸ਼ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਇਆ।

26 ਜਨਵਰੀ, 1930 ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਲਾਲ ਨੇ ਰਾਵੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਵਾਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਮੰਗ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਤੀ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਤਾਰਾਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਟਿਸ਼ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਹਰ ਸਾਲ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ, ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਠੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਕੌਮੀ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਗਿਆ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਂਦੇ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਕੁਟਿ ਨੀਤੀ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਰਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਨਾ ਸਕੀ। 15 ਅਗਸਤ 1947 ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਛੱਡਣਾ ਪਿਆ। ਦੇਸ਼ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਤੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਇਆ।

15 ਅਗਸਤ 1947 ਨੂੰ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਲੇਕਿਨ ਸਾਡਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਅਜੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸੰਮਿਤੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ।ਉਸਨੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਇਹ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1950 ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਬਣੇ। ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਭਾਰੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਧੂਮਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਇਆ।

ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਦਿਨ ਬੜੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਜਲ, ਥਲ ਅਤੇ ਹਵਾਈ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰੇਡ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਖਾਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਦਵੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਵਾਦਕ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਲੱਖਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਡ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਦਵੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾਦਕ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਲੱਖਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰੇਡ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਝਾਕੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਉੱਨਤੀ ਦਾ ਵਾਸਤਵਿਕ ਚਿੱਤਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਭਵਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਿਸ਼ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਛੱਡੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਛੋਟੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਕੌਮੀ ਝੰਡੇ ਲਹਿਰਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰੇਡ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰਖਿਅਤ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਗਿਆ ਦੁਹਰਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸਮਾਰੋਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਕੌਮੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ । ਧੂਮਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਿੰਦੂ, ਸਿੱਖ, ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ, ਈਸਾਈ, ਜੈਨੀ, ਬੋਧੀ, ਪਾਰਸੀ ਆਦਿ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਧਰਮ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਨਤਾ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਜ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਪਟਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ, ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤਖੋਰੀ, ਫੁੱਟ, ਦੰਗੇ, ਊਚ-ਨੀਚ ਨੂੰ ਜੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਉਖਾੜ ਦੇਈਏ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਉਣਾ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਹੋ ਸਕੇਗਾ।

History of Republic Day : ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ, 1950 ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਆਦਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਗਵਰਨਮੈਂਟ ਆਫ਼ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਐਕਟ (1935) ਦੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ 'ਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਹਰ ਸਾਲ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਧਾਰਾ 'ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਤ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਭਾਰਤ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਦੇ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਘੁਲਾਟੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਾਨੇ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ 'ਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ, ਮਾਣ ਤੇ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ 'ਚ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।

ਬਰਤਾਨਵੀ ਰਾਜ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਏ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂਸੱਤਾ ਸੰਪੰਨ, ਜਮਹੂਰੀ ਗਣਰਾਜ’ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਇਸਰਾਏ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ’ਤੇ ਬਣੇ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ 'ਚ ਇਹ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਮੁਲਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਹੋਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੜੀ ਬੜੀ ਹੀ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਹੈ। 

ਵੀਰਵਾਰ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1950 ਨੂੰ ਗਵਰਨਮੈਂਟ ਹਾਊਸ ਦੇ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਚਮਚਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਗੁੰਬਦਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਹਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ 10 ਵੱਜ ਕੇ 18 ਮਿੰਟ ’ਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਸੱਤਾ ਸੰਪੰਨ ਜਮਹੂਰੀ ਗਣਰਾਜ ਐਲਾਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਛੇ ਮਿੰਟ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁੱਕੀ। ਇਸ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਭਰੇ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ 10:30 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਕੁ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ 31 ਤੋਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇੱਕ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਰਸਮ ਮੌਕੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਗਵਰਨਰ-ਜਨਰਲ ਸੀ ਰਾਜਾਗੋਪਾਲ ਨੇ ਰਿਪਬਲਿਕ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ-ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨਨਾਮਾ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ। ਫਿਰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਜਿਹਾ ਭਾਸ਼ਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ 'ਚ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ 'ਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਸਹੀ 2:30 ਵਜੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ, ਗਵਰਨਮੈਂਟ ਹਾਊਸ (ਹੁਣ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਭਵਨ) ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ 35 ਸਾਲ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਪਰ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਬੱਘੀ ਵਿਚ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਏ। ਇਸ ਬੱਘੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੇ ਹੱਟੇ-ਕੱਟੇ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆਈ ਘੋੜੇ ਜੋੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਡੀਗਾਰਡ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਐਸਕਾਰਟ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਇਰਵਿਨ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ (ਹੁਣ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ) ਜੈ-ਜੈਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਅਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੂੰਜ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ, ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਸੰਭਵ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਸਨ, ’ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੈ-ਜੈਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੁੰਗਾਰਾ ਭਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। 

ਪੂਰੇ 3:45 ਵਜੇ ਇਹ ਬੱਘੀ ਇਰਵਿਨ ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਜੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ 3000 ਅਫਸਰ ਤੇ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਰਸਮੀ ਪਰੇਡ ਲਈ ਤਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਸੱਤ ਮਾਸ ਬੈਂਡ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਤੇ ਫੌਜੀ ਬਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਮਾਲ ਦਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਫੋਟੋ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਹੋਮਾਇਵਿਆਰਵਾਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਿੱਚੀਆਂ ਤਸਵੀਰਾਂ ਵੀ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਹਨ। ਸਟੇਡੀਅਮ ਵਿਚ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਕਿਲੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰਚ ਕਰਦੇ ਸੈਨਿਕ, ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁੱਕਦੇ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ (ਹੁਣ ਦੇ ਵਿਜੇ ਚੌਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ) ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਦਾਸਤਾਂ ਬਿਆਨਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਭੂਮਿਕਾ – ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਅਤੇ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਬੜੇ ਹੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੌਰਵ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਡਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨੀ ਗੌਰਵ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਭਾਵ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੂਪ -ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ-ਤੰਤਰ, ਜਨ-ਤੰਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਤੰਤਰ ਵੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ ਪਜਾਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਜਾਂ ਪਜਾਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ।ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ, 1950 ਈ. ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਤਰੀਕ ਨੂੰ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਡਾ ਦੇਸ਼ 15 ਅਗਸਤ, 1947 ਈ. ਨੂੰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਾਵਾਂ, ਸਮਰਾਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਸੀ। ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਤੰਤਰ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਭਗ 4 ਸਾਲ ਲੱਗ ਗਏ । 1946 ਈ. ਤੋਂ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਦਸੰਬਰ 1949 ਈ. ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਨੂੰ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ, 1950 ਈ. ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਤਦ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਲ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ – ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਹੈ । ਸੰਨ 1950 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰੀਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਨ 1930 ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਲ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਦਸੰਬਰ 1929 ਈ.ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਬੈਠਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਵੀ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਸੈਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਵਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ, 1930 ਈ.ਨੂੰ ਬਸੰਤ ਪੰਚਮੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਭ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ।ਤਦ ਤੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਲ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗਾ। 15 ਅਗਸਤ, 1947 ਈ. ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ 15 ਅਗਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਨੇਤਾ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੌਰਵ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੌਰਵ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ, 1950 ਈ. ਦੀ ਤਰੀਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ।ਤਦ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਅਸੀਂ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਲ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਚਲੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।

ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ ਤੇ – ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਲ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੜੀ ਧੂਮਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕਈ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਵ ਸ਼ਾਮ `ਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਨ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਮਾਧਿਅਮਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਕੁਮ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਜੋਤੀ ਦੇ ਅਭਿਵਾਦਨ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਗੇਟ ਤੋਂ ਉਜਵਲ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਜੋਤੀ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਜੈ ਚੌਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਮੰਚ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਹੁੰਚਦੀ ਹੈ।ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਆਦਿ ਆਦਰਯੋਗ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੀ ਪਰੇਡ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੁੱਭ-ਅਰੰਭ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਦੇਖਣਯੋਗ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ । ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਨ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੁਕੜੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਬੈਂਡ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਦ-ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਰੇਡ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। Ruਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਸਤਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਰਾਲੀਆਂ ਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਸੈਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਝਾਕੀਆਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤ ਕਿੰਨਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਕਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੁਕੜੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਲੜਾਕੂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਨੋਖਾ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੁੰਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਜੈ ਚੌਕ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਲੇ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।ਇਸ ਲੰਬੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਾ ਲੋਕ-ਸਮੂਹਉਮੜਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵੱਖਵੱਖ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਰੇਡ ਦੀਆਂ ਝਾਕੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ – ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਨਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਬੜੇ ਹੀ ਧੂਮਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਝੰਡਾ ਚੜਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਅਰੰਭ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਨਾਮ ਵੰਡੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਠਿਆਈਆਂ ਵੰਡਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਤਸਵ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਪਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ – 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੱਤੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਝੰਡਾ ਚੜਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੁੱਭ-ਅਰੰਭ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਦਿਨ ਭਰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਚਲਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਬੜੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਟਕ, ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਕਵੀ-ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਆਦਿ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਬੜੀ ਧੂਮਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਰਾਜਦੂਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਬੜੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਮੁਖੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਭੇਜਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਸਿੱਟਾ – ਹਰੇਕ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਾਨ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਪਭੱਤਾ-ਸੰਪੰਨ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਸਦਾ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡਾ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦਾ ਅਮਰ ਰਹੇ।

26 ਜਨਵਰੀਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਕੌਮੀ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਹੈ । 15 ਅਗੱਸਤ 1947 ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ । ਪਰ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1950 ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ । 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1929 ਈ. ਨੂੰ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਲਾਲ ਨਹਿਰੂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਣ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੁਆਵਾਂਗੇ। 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1950 ਈਸਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ । ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅੱਜ ਤਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਾਸੀ ਇਸ ਕੌਮੀ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੀ ਹੀ ਧੂਮ-ਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।

26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1950 ਈਸਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਪਦਵੀ ਸੌਂਪੀ ਗਈ । ਹਰ ਵਰੇ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਵਿਜੈ ਚੌਕ (ਇੰਡੀਆ ਗੇਟ) ਵਿਖੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਤਿੰਨੋਂ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਇੱਕਠੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਟੁਕੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।

ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ-ਗੀਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਚਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਖਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦੀਪਮਾਲਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਭਵਨ ਵਿਖੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਤੇ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।

26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਕੌਮੀ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਹੈ । 15 ਅਗੱਸਤ 1947 ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ । ਪਰ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1950 ਨੂੰ , ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ । 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1929 । ਈ . ਨੂੰ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਜਵਾਹਰ ਲਾਲ ਨਹਿਰੂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਣ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੁਆਵਾਂਗੇ। 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1950 ਈਸਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ । ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ । ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅੱਜ ਤਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਾਸੀ ਇਸ ਕੌਮੀ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੀ । ਹੀ ਧੂਮ - ਧਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।

26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1950 ਈਸਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਪਦਵੀ ਸੌਂਪੀ ਗਈ । ਹਰ ਵਰੇ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਵਿਜੈ ਚੌਕ ( ਇੰਡੀਆ ਗੇਟ ) ਵਿਖੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਝੰਡਾ ਲਹਿਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਤਿੰਨੋਂ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਇੱਕਠੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਟੁਕੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।

ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ - ਗੀਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਚਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਖਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦੀਪਮਾਲਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ । ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਭਵਨ ਵਿਖੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਤੇ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।

Essay on Republic Day – India celebrates Republic Day on January 26 annually with a lot of pride and fervor. It is a day that is important to every Indian citizen. It marks the day when India became truly independent and embraced democracy. In other words, it celebrates the day on which our constitution came into effect. On 26 January 1950, almost 3 years post-independence, we became a sovereign, secular, socialist, democratic republic.

History of Republic Day

While we got independence from British rule on August 15, 1947, our country was still lacking a concrete constitution. Moreover, India also did not have any experts and political powers which would help in the functioning of the state affairs smoothly.  Up until then, the 1935 Government of India Act was basically modified in order to govern, however, that act was more bent towards the colonial rule. Therefore, there was a dire need to form an exclusive constitution that would reflect all that India stands for.

Thus, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar led a constitutional drafting committee on August 28, 1947.  After drafting, it was presented to the Constituent Assembly by the same committee on November 4, 1947. This whole procedure was very elaborate and took up to 166 days to complete. Moreover, the committee organized sessions were kept open to the public.

No matter the challenges and hardships, our constitutional committee left no stone unturned to include rights for all. It aimed to create the perfect balance so all citizens of the country could enjoy equal rights pertaining to their religions, culture, caste, sex, creed and more. At last, they presented the official Indian constitution to the country on January 26, 1950.

Moreover, the first session of the India Parliament was also conducted on this day. In addition to that, 26 th January also witnessed the swearing-in of India’s first president, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. Thus, this day is very important as it marks the end of the British rule and birth of India as a Republic State.

Republic Day Celebrations

Indians celebrate January 26 each year with lots of enthusiasm and zeal. On this day, people forget their religion, caste, creed, sex, and more. It brings together the country as a whole.
