Patrick's Homework? 1. Patrick never completed his homework. “Too boring,” he remarked. He enjoyed hockey, basketball, and Nintendo. His professors said, “Patrick! Do your homework or you won’t learn.” He did occasionally feel stupid. But how? He loathed schoolwork. 2. He snatched a doll from his cat one day. It was a little guy, not a toy. He wore an old-fashioned cap and a wool shirt. Save me! Keep me away from that cat. I'll fulfil your dream." 3. Patrick couldn’t believe his luck! This solved his issues. He answered, “Only if you do all my homework until the end of the semester; that’s 35 days. If you perform well, I could earn A's.” 4. The small man's face wrinkled like a dishcloth in the hamper. He stomped his knees and doubled his fists, scowling and pursing his lips. “Oh, am I cursed! I’ll do it.” 5. The elf did Patrick's homework as promised. One issue. Elf needs aid. Help me! Help me! Patrick must assist. “I don’t know this word,” the elf gasped when reading Patrick’s assignment. Dictionary, please. Better still, look up the term and hear it out letter by letter. 6. Patrick failed mathematics. “What are times tables?” the elf shouted. “Elves never need that. Division, fractions, addition, and subtraction? Sit by me—you must lead me.” Human history is unknown to elves. The small elf shouted even more. I need books. More novels. You can also help me read.” 7. That tiny elf nags every day! Patrick worked harder, and it was a drag! He went to school with puffy eyes from staying up overnight. 8. The elf left school on the final day. He discreetly left the back door since there was no homework. 9. Patrick's professors and classmates were impressed with his A's. His parents? What happened to Patrick? He became the ideal child. He was happy, completed his duties, and cleaned his room. 10. Patrick still felt he made the small guy complete all his schoolwork. However, I'll confide in you. Patrick did it—not the elf!

The story is of a boy who was not willing to do his homework. In return to the favors he had done for saving an elf life, he assigned all his homework to it. As elf wasn’t familiar with the subjects, he took the help of Patrick. Now Patrick was doing hard work in assisting the elf. At the end, he became independent and happy.

Patrick found the homework very boring. He preferred to play hockey and basketball. He was advised by the teacher to do his homework to learn better. He often realised that he hadn’t learned many things still did not change his attitude.

One day, he saw that his cat was playing with an elf. It was a tiny man, wearing a little wool shirt and short trousers. He shouted to be saved from the cat. It promised to grant Patrick a wish if he saves its life Patrick found someone to do his homework.

He felt lucky. He asked for his help till the end of the semester. Although the elf felt disgusted by the demand initially, yet it decided to help Patrick in his homework.

As elf didn’t know all the subjects he asked for help. Patrick had to read words with meanings for elf. In solving the problem of mathematics, it took help of Patrick himself. History was troublesome for elf.

Thus it involved Patrick all the time while doing his homework. Patrick was reading day and night unknowingly and in helping elf. He actually learned lots of things.

On last day of the school, the elf left secretly through the back door. It did not want to stay longer as the work was tiresome for it.

At the end of the semester, Patrick surprised everyone by scoring A grade. Actually it was achieved only through his own hard work. His teachers, parents, and friends wondered for the positive changes in his personality.

He became the inspiration for others. He did all his chores by himself. He was liked and appreciated by everyone. While helping the elf Patrick had learned to work hard and finally, the success was his not that of the elf.

Who did patrick's homework.

P atrick never did homework. "Too boring," he said. He played baseball and basketball and Nintendo instead. His teachers told him, "Patrick! Do your homework or you won't learn a thing." And it's true, sometimes he did feel like a ding-a-ling.

But what could he do? He hated homework.

Then on St. Patrick's Day his cat was playing with a little doll and he grabbed it away. To his surprise it wasn't a doll at all, but a man of the tiniest size. He had a little wool shirt with old fashioned britches and a high tall hat much like a witch's. He yelled, "Save me! Don't give me back to that cat. I'll grant you a wish, I promise you that."

Patrick couldn't believe how lucky he was! Here was the answer to all of his problems. So he said, "Only if you do all my homework 'til the end of the semester, that's 35 days. If you do a good enough job, I could even get A's."

The little man's face wrinkled like a dishcloth thrown in the hamper. He kicked his legs and doubled his fists and he grimaced and scowled and pursed his lips, "Oh, am I cursed! But I'll do it."

And true to his word, that little elf began to do Patrick's homework. Except there was one glitch. The elf didn't always know what to do and he needed help. "Help me! Help me!" he'd say. And Patrick would have to help -- in whatever way.

"I don't know this word," the elf squeeked while reading Patrick's homework. "Get me a dictionary. No, what's even better. Look up the word and sound it out by each letter."

When it came to math, Patrick was out of luck. "What are times tables?" the elf shrieked. "We elves never need that. And addition and subtraction and division and fractions? Here, sit down beside me, you simply must guide me."

Elves know nothing of human history, to them it's a mystery. So the little elf, already a shouter, just got louder "Go to the library, I need books. More and more books. And you can help me read them too."

As a matter of fact every day in every way that little elf was a nag! Patrick was working harder than ever and was it a drag! He was staying up nights, had never felt so weary, was going to school with his eyes puffed and bleary.

Finally the last day of school arrived and the elf was free to go. As for homework, there was no more, so he quietly and slyly slipped out the back door.

Patrick got his A's; his classmates were amazed; his teachers smiled and were full of praise. And his parents? They wondered what had happened to Patrick. He was now the model kid. Cleaned his room, did his chores, was cheerful, never rude, like he had developed a whole new attitude.

You see, in the end Patrick still thought he'd made that tiny man do all his homework. But I'll share a secret, just between you and me. It wasn't the elf; Patrick had done it himself!

The elf knew nothing so Patrick had to sit down beside the elf and guide him in completing his homework properly. Many times Patrick did a lot of work like he had to visit the Library, to get the books and read them to the elf. Then the elf would write those points in his answer book. 

This routine continued till the end of the semester and Patrick’s homework was finally completed. The last day of school arrived and as per the deal, the elf was free to go. Patrick submitted his homework and he got A’s in every subject. His classmates were amazed and his teacher was proud of him. His parents were both happy and surprised by the sudden change in their son’s behavior. Patrick had indeed changed himself and now he was a very hardworking and generous boy. 

Patrick thought that it was the elf that helped him in getting good grades but in reality, it was Patrick himself who did all the hard work and changed his scores.

Patrick, who was a clever little boy, enjoyed playing basketball, hockey and Nintendo but never cared about his homework. His teachers warned him that if he continued ignoring his homework, he would learn nothing and fall back in his semester. Patrick himself felt out of place sometimes because he did not know about the things his friends in school did. He saw himself as a big ‘ignoramus’, but he was still not bothered enough to focus on any studies. Outdoor sports were fun and interesting for him but sitting at home and doing homework was something that he hated!

Who Did Patrick’s Homework? – Summary

Patrick had a cat who had a habit of playing with his toys. One day, he found the cat playing with a little doll. Before the cat could chew and damage it, Patrick snatched the doll away from the cat. Then he realized that the cat was not playing with a doll. Actually, it was a tiny person who was trying to get away from the cat. The tiny man seemed afraid of the cat and pleaded to Patrick to keep the cat away. Patrick noticed what the little man was wearing, and he became curious. He wore a little wool shirt with old-fashioned britches and a tall high hat that looked like a witch’s top hat. The tiny man shouted out to Patrick for help – ‘Save me! Don’t give me back to that cat’. In return for this favor, the little man claimed to be an elf made Patrick a promise. The elf promised that he would fulfill one wish for Patrick to save him from the cat.

Patrick saw this incident as a golden opportunity to avoid doing homework for the rest of the semester. His semester was to end in the next thirty-five days, and he asked the elf to do his homework for him till then. If the elf really tried, he could earn some good grades like an A for his homework. This was the one condition set for Patrick’s help that the elf had to agree with. He wrinkled his nose in displeasure at the thought of doing homework but decided to do it. So, for the remaining thirty-five days of the semester, Patrick thought that he wouldn’t have to do any homework, and he was pleased with his good fortune.

The elf kept his promise and started going through Patrick’s schoolbooks to do his homework. However, there was still one problem that needed to be solved. The elf could not understand what was written in the books as he did not belong to the world of humans. He did not know history or maths, and he seemed confused about these subjects. At such times, he would call out to Patrick for help and poor Patrick, who thought he was free to play as much as he wanted, had to help the elf complete the given homework instead. When the elf needed to know the meanings of some words, he would ask Patrick to get the dictionary for him.

Once the little boy got the dictionary for the elf, he would make a new request – ‘look up the word and sound it out by each letter. The elf was relentless; he never allowed Patrick to catch a break. When it came to Maths, the elf was completely surprised! He kept asking what are times tables, fractions, multiplication, and division? All these concepts were unfamiliar to him. The loud elf got even louder as the homework became more difficult. He ordered Patrick to get him more and more books from the school library and asked him to read them out. Since the elves never needed all this, he required constant help from Patrick to solve all the questions.

The elf kept the boy on his toes, and it was clear that Patrick was working harder than ever. Due to the nagging and screaming of the elf, Patrick would stay up nights to complete his homework. He soon became tired and weary, and his eyes were swollen from studying so much. He had to go to school with puffy eyes, and he felt too exhausted. At last, the final day of school arrived, and the elf realized he had fulfilled his promise to Patrick. There was no more homework to do, and the elf planned his escape. When no one was looking, the elf quietly and slyly moved out the back door towards his freedom.

As for Patrick, he got an A grade in all his subjects. His parents, friends, and teachers were both surprised and proud of him. They were all praising him and wondering how he became so sincere in his studies. Since he was admired by everybody, Patrick’s behavior changed, and he became a really good boy. He cleaned his room, helped his parents with extra work, and even changed his attitude. The new Patrick was never rude to anybody and was always happy and polite. In the end, we come to know that all the hard work for the school homework was actually done by Patrick himself and the elf really did nothing. The elf had simply tricked him into giving his best. Who Did Patrick’s Homework Central Idea

The children’s short story, ‘Who did Patrick’s Homework’ was written by Carol Moore. It is a moral story based on imagination and magical realism. Here, a little boy invents a character in the shape of an elf who helps him learn how to focus on studies and homework. The imaginary elf comes into his life accidentally when Patrick does a good deed towards him by saving his life from the cat. The elf does not exactly do what the boy asks him to do but teaches him a very valuable lesson instead. The elf shows him that the shortest ways are the easiest, but hard work and resilience can reap more incredible benefits. The story is a message to all children that playing and being active is good, but it is equally important to learn and practice through homework as it will help you become more intelligent and knowledgeable. Who Did Patrick’s Homework Analysis

The story ‘Who Did Patrick’s Homework’ is an imaginary tale of a young little boy named Patrick who like most other children did not like doing his homework. Due to his interest in playing outdoor sports like basketball, he used to neglect his studies, for which his grades suffered in school. He was a bright and witty boy, but he was simply lazy when it came to focusing on his books. The character of the elf was implanted to help him realize that he too could do his own homework on time with a little push. The elf only pretended to grant him a wish and complete his homework for him by the end of the semester.

In reality, Patrick followed his own advice which he had given to the elf when he asked for his wish – ‘If you do a good enough job, I could even get A’s’. The elf knew nothing about human studies and subjects like arithmetic and history were all very new and confusing to him. Since the elf could not manage the homework on his own, Patrick had to do the work for him. In the next thirty-five days, the little boy slogged day and night to fulfill the elf’s demands. The elf’s commanding tone was the shove he needed to be veered in the right direction. Patrick had to obey because he needed to complete the homework by the end of the semester, or he would get in trouble at school and time was slipping away – ‘“Help me! Help me!” he’d say. And Patrick would have to help – in whatever way’. As Patrick avoided doing his homework earlier, he was forced to do double the work to catch up. His days were spent in the library, and nights were sleepless as he kept poring over more and more books.

The little boy’s plan of getting out of his tedious studies by getting the poor helpless elf to do his work backfired on him. In addition to the value of hard work and, the story teaches the children about selfless help. If Patrick had helped the little elf without any condition, he wouldn’t have been in this dilemma. It is important to do your own work on time, but it is also important to selflessly help others in need. Nevertheless, by the end of the story, we learn that Patrick’s efforts had paid off, and he was admired by his parents and friends for his high grades. The tiny strange elf slunk away from the backdoor the minute he was free before Patrick could realize that he had outsmarted him and tricked him into fulfilling his own wish! Sometimes, we need a bit of imagination to overcome our fears and take a leap of faith to do what seems daunting at first.

Shirley Jones Turns 90! Sons Shaun Cassidy, Patrick Cassidy and Ryan Cassidy Celebrate Partridge Family Star

Shirley Jones marked her milestone 90th birthday with her kids and grandkids by her side.

The Oscar-winning actress and The Partridge Family icon hit the big 9-0 on Sunday, March 31 — and celebrated in an intimate party in a snowy mountain getaway.

Jones' son Shaun Cassidy , 65, documented the events on social media, sharing a photo of him and his brothers — Patrick Cassidy, 62, and Ryan Cassidy , 58 — posing with the Hollywood legend.

" Happy 90th birthday to Miss Pittsburgh! " he captioned the post, with a nod to Jones' beauty pageant win back in 1952. "What an incredible night."

For her big day, Jones was decked out in a bedazzled blue tracksuit. She wore a golden sash that read "90 & Fabulous," and donned a silver tiara with the number "90" in the center.

Shaun also posted a throwback picture of Shirley, taken on her 21st birthday by his grandfather, Paul Jones.

"The flowers were gifts from fans who’d recently discovered her — and her glorious singing voice — in the motion picture Oklahoma ," he explained in a long note on his website . "Mom would soon begin shooting her second film for Rodgers & Hammerstein, Carousel , and in a few years, she’d win the Academy Award for a dramatic turn in [1960's] Elmer Gantry ."

Of course, while the public knows Shirley from those films — and for her extensive work on television, including in The Partridge Family — Shaun said that "to us, her family, Shirley Jones has always simply been mom." 

"In a journey full of dramatic highs and lows, mom has always been an optimist and a lover of life," he wrote, praising "this small-town girl from Western Pennsylvania, who grew up to become a movie star but who never acted like one."

"Simple things mean the most to her: family, friends, nature, animals, laughter, sing-a-longs at the piano, a dry martini. Not necessarily in that order," he joked.

Her birthday celebrations were an opportunity for the whole family to "gather to share all of these things and more with mom, grateful to have her with us, and blessed by her good health," Shaun said. "Happy Birthday Mom. Thanks for always offering us ground in an uncertain world, and for inspiring so many with your talent and heart. I love you."

Patrick also spoke out about the birthday celebration , explaining in an Instagram post that the party was attended by all of their "children, wives, girlfriends and family."

"Each person from the youngest granddaughter to the oldest son told a story about what this incredible woman meant to them," he recalled of the event. "It was one of the most beautiful, emotional, personal moments all of us could’ve ever asked for."

"Happy Birthday Shirley Jones," Patrick wrote. "A mother, a grandmother, a mother-in-law, a person that has meant so much to so many. But most of all to us, your family. We Love You ❤️🎂 ."

Shirley was married to Jack Cassidy from 1956 until 1975, the pair having sons Shaun, Patrick and Ryan together. She was also mom to stepson David Cassidy , who died from organ failure in November 2017 at the age of 67.

After divorcing Jack, Shirley married actor and comedian  Marty Ingels  in 1977. They remained together until Ingels' death in October 2015 (though Shirley filed and withdrew a divorce petition in 2002). Jack, meanwhile, died in a 1976 fire at the age of 49.

The actress spent four years playing matriarch Shirley Partridge on The Partridge Family , the beloved ABC musical sitcom loosely based on The Cowsills, the real-life musical family. The show followed a young widowed mother and her five children who tour the country with their singing group in a signature painted bus.

Shirley famously accepted the role after turning down the part of Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch. And while the show earned her a No. 1 hit (with "I Think I Love You") and is no doubt a key part of her legacy, Shirley has admitted it had a negative affect on her film roles.

"The problem with  Partridge — though it was great for me and gave me an opportunity to stay home and raise my kids — when my agents came to me and presented it to me, they said if you do a series and it becomes a hit show, you will be that character for the rest of your life and your film career will go into the toilet, which is what happened," she told The Vancouver Sun in 2009. "But I have no regrets."

Unlike many of his Intelligence Unit colleagues, Ruzek was plucked straight from the Police Academy — meaning he didn't get much experience as a patrol officer. However, he did grow up in a family of police officers, so he was dedicated to becoming an exemplary cop from a young age.

Ruzek got started in the united Sergeant  Hank Voight  ( Jason Beghe ) told ​​​​​​ Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas)  to find recruits for the unit, and the latter honed in on Ruzek's unique zeal within the academy.

Before Ruzek dated Burgess, he was engaged twice, though both fell apart apart.

Burgess and Ruzek slept together in Season 1, Episode 15 (“A Beautiful Friendship”) and were officially a couple in Season 2. He first proposed to her in the Season 2 finale ("Born Into Bad News"). But, after catching wind of Ruzek's commitment issues and noting his problematic proposal track record, Burgess broke it off in Season 3, Episode 12 ("Looking Out For Stateville").

From Season 3 through 6, Burgess and Ruzek attempted to date other people, but they would occasionally revisit their romanic connection only to separate again. Then, after a fateful hook-up in Season 7, Episode 4 ("Infection, Part III"), Burgess learned in Episode 8 ("No Regrets") that she was pregnant with Ruzek's child. He proposed in Episode 11 ("43rd And Normal"), but she turned him down.

Unfortunately, Burgess had miscarriage in Season 7, Episode 13 ("I Was Here"); Ruzek became a shoulder for her to lean on in the aftermath.

Then, after Burgess met a young orphaned girl named Makayla (Ramona Edith Williams) in Season 8, Episode 3 ("Tender Age"), she decided to adopt her in Episode 5 ("In Your Care"). Burgess asked Ruzek if he wanted to become Makayla's legal custodian in Episode 13 ("Trouble Dolls"), and he ultimately accepted. 

After excelling as co-parents, Burgess and Ruzek found themselves maturing and evolving as people, which shifted their relationship back into romantic territory. In Season 9, Episode 20 ("The Number of Rats"), Ruzek offered up his childhood home for Burgess and Makayla to live in — and he eventually moved in with them.

After attending couples therapy in Season 10, Episode 17 ("Out of the Depths"), Burgess and Ruzek finally opened up about their continued affection for each other, admitting they both wanted more but were fearful to admit it. The two got engaged in Season 11, Episode 3 ("Safe Harbor").

"Before, it was such a rocky, tumultuous relationship, they never should have gotten engaged. But because they've been through everything and managed to stay together, it does seem like they've proved their mettle," Squerciati told  NBC Insider . "They've been through the fire, they're ready. The bait and switch for Ruzek and Burgess are over. They'll go through stuff, but they're together now."

When did Adam Ruzek and Hailey Upton date on Chicago P.D. ?

Throughout Season 6 of  Chicago P.D .,— when he was on the outs with Burgess romantically — viewers saw Ruzek get close to fellow Intelligence Unit officer  Hailey Upton  ( Tracy Spiridakos ).

In Season 6, Episode 6 ("Bad Boys"), Ruzek was there for Upton after she was left reeling from a harrowing shooting that put her then-partner  Jay Halstead  ( Jesse Lee Soffer ) in the hospital. After sharing a few drinks and comforting each other, Ruzek and Upton hooked up.

They attempted to keep their relationship on the down-low, but it didn't work. Ruzek and Upton eventually ended things in Season 6, Episode 12 ("Sacrifice") after realizing they couldn't balance their workplace dynamic with a romantic connection. 

Who is Adam Ruzek's father on Chicago P.D. ?

Ruzek's father is former 26th District Sergeant, Robert "Bob" Ruzek (Jack Coleman). Viewers first met Bob in Season 2, Episode 12 (“Disco Bob”) after his squad bumped into the Intelligence Unit at the scene of a burglary and murder case. It was instantly clear there was bad blood between Bob and Ruzek's commanding Sergeant, Voight.

Late, Bob visited his son's precinct and requested a meeting with Voight, warning him that if he ever led Ruzek down a dark path, the sergeant would pay for that mistake. Olinksky eventually shed some light on the tension between the two older men — they became rivals after a fight broke out at a party long ago.

Bob has since made several  P.D.  appearances, at one point accidentally bumping shoulders with Ruzek while he was undercover in Season 6, Episode 5 ("Fathers and Sons").

After celebrating his retirement party in Season 8, Episode 10 ("The Radical Truth"), Bob was kidnapped over a gambling debt. The Intelligence Unit was luckily able to rescue him before it was too late, and Bob has been enjoying a calmer lifestyle ever since.

In the Season 10 finale ("A Better Place"),  Ruzek was shot and critically injured , leading him to be rushed to the hospital.

Yes, I agree that it’s true because God cannot come for our rescue directly. We have to help ourselves. God only shows us the right path and we have to follow it with full devotion. The tiny man or the elf showed him the way how to complete his homework. But it was Patrick who did his homework on his own and followed the instructions. This is the only way to learn in life thus, Patrick solved his problems in a way himself.

Patrick himself did his homework as little man did not know anything, in English, math’s and human history. Patrick had to consult dictionary, guide him with math’s rules and helped him to read too. He stayed up at nights and worked hard. Therefore, it was Patrick who did the homework.

Patrick had no interest in studies. He hated doing homework. He was lucky to get a helper. It was an elf. Patrick brought books from the library and worked hard to solve all sums. He got good marks. Actually it was Patrick himself who did all his homework.

Now he was not feeling that homework is too boring. All the concepts and topics were now clear to him, had developed a whole new attitude. He got A grades. All this happened because of homework he did. So it is very important for all the students to do their homework.

2024 Masters odds, field: Surprising PGA picks, predictions from top-rated golf model that's nailed 10 majors

Sportsline's proven model simulated the masters 2024 10,000 times and revealed its pga golf picks for augusta national.

The first 2024 Masters tee times were pushed to 10:30 a.m. ET on Thursday due to inclement weather. After failing to move into the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking and not qualifying under any other criteria, Akshay Bhatia needed a win last week at the Valero Texas Open to make it into the 2024 Masters field. With the pressure on, Bhatia put on the performance of his life, going wire-to-wire before surviving a late scare from Denny McCarthy to win in a playoff. Now, the field is set for the 88th Masters and play will begin on Thursday at Augusta National Golf Club.

Bhatia is a 75-1 longshot in the 2024 Masters odds, while world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is the 13-4 favorite after collecting two wins and a runner-up finish in his last three starts. Other 2024 Masters contenders include Rory McIlroy (10-1), Brooks Koepka (11-1), Jon Rahm (12-1) and Wyndham Clark (15-1). SportsLine's proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up nearly $9,500 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament. McClure's model predicted Scottie Scheffler would finish on top of the leaderboard at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship this season. McClure also included Hideki Matsuyama in his best bets to win the 2024 Genesis Invitational. That bet hit at +9000, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned nearly $1,000. The model also predicted Jon Rahm would be victorious at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. At the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the third round, but the model still projected him as the winner. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scheffler winning in 2022. In addition, McClure's best bets included Nick Taylor (70-1) winning the 2023 RBC Canadian Open, Jason Day (17-1) winning outright at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson, and Rickie Fowler (14-1) finishing on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic. This same model has also nailed a whopping 10 majors entering the weekend, including the past two Masters. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Top 2024 Masters predictions 

One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2024 Masters: Rory McIlroy, a four-time major champion and one of the co-favorites, fails to complete the career grand slam and barely cracks the top five at Augusta National. We're coming upon a decade since McIlroy's last major win, and he has nearly twice as many missed cuts (seven) at majors over that span than top-three finishes (four). Two of those missed cuts have come over the Irishman's last three Augusta starts. McIlroy has broken par in just two of his last eight rounds at the Masters.

This year hasn't been promising to McIlroy's chances at Augusta, as he has just one top-10 finish against a softer field at the Texas Open. McIlroy's short game has been a catalyst for his struggles, as he ranks 124th in strokes gained: around-the-green and 78th in total putting. His scoring average (actual) on the PGA Tour ranks just 61st, so those metrics don't line up with the second-shortest odds. Thus, the model is avoiding McIlroy in 2024 Masters bets since it doesn't see much value with him at 10-1.

Another surprise: Ludvig Aberg, a 25-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. The 24-year-old Swede was playing collegiately at Texas Tech this time last year, but he's already ascended to No. 9 in the world and has wins on the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour to his credit in well under a year as a professional.

Aberg used the PGA Tour University Rankings to earn exempt status on tour through 2024 and immediately began putting results together before winning the Omega European Masters to earn a spot on the European Ryder Cup team. He added a PGA Tour win at the RSM Classic after helping Europe to a victory and has made the cut in all eight of his PGA Tour starts this year. That includes a t-14th start in Texas last week, an eighth-place finish at the Players Championship and a solo second at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.  See who else to pick here .

'Mr. ORNG' arrested: Phoenix Suns super fan accused of child sex trafficking. What to know

Phoenix Suns superfan and high school basketball coach 37-year-old Patrick Battillo was recently arrested on child sex trafficking charges along with a teacher whom police say told Battillo about the criminal investigation into him before officers could confront him.

Officials say police arrested Battillo, a boys basketball coach at Peoria High School who also went by the  moniker "Mr. ORNG" at Suns games , after he asked juvenile students to send him images and videos of them performing various sex acts in exchange for money.

Police also arrested 46-year-old Holly Holgate, who police say told Battillo about the criminal investigation, thus allowing him to leave the school before officers could contact him. She too was booked into jail on charges of hindering prosecution and failing to report child abuse or neglect.

What happened to Mr. ORNG?

Kristopher Babros, a department spokesperson, said police were told about an investigation into Battillo on Tuesday morning after school administrators contacted the school resource officer. Babros said officers arrested Battillo without incident in Goodyear and booked him into a Maricopa County jail on suspicion of several felony charges including luring a minor for sexual exploitation and child sex trafficking.

What prompted the investigation into Suns superfan?

Court documents state that Battillo approached a 16-year-old boy and asked him to send pictures and video of him performing sex acts on himself and his girlfriend, who was also a minor. Documents say Battillo told the boy that he sold similar child pornography to an unknown woman, though the boy later suspected the woman didn't exist and was actually Battillo.

The boy confirmed his suspicions when he messaged a Snapchat account Battillo shared, claiming it was the woman's account, and saw Battillo check his phone during a basketball game and start typing, and then saw the alleged woman begin typing a response to the boy, documents state. Officials were later alerted to the incident and began investigating.

Documents say Battillo initially agreed to speak with a detective but quickly invoked his Fifth Amendment rights after the detective asked him about his relationship with children. He was booked into a Maricopa County jail where he's being held on a $100,000 bond.

Why was Holgate arrested?

Court documents say four students who were all on Battillo's basketball team approached Holgate on Tuesday morning and asked to speak with her before informing her about Battillo asking for nude photos and videos in exchange for money. When Holgate asked for proof of the allegations, one of the students showed her screenshots of the Snapchat conversation they had with Battillo.

Documents say Holgate told the students she was going to tell Battillo about their allegations and sent two of the students to the front office and the other two back to class despite being mandated to immediately report allegations of sexual misconduct involving minors to school administrators and police. Documents note that Holgate had also received training on helping at-risk children.

Holgate interrupted Battillo's class and asked him to step outside where she told him what the students shared with her as she felt he "deserved to know what he was being accused of," documents say.

When officers asked Holgate why she would tell Battillo rather than report the incident to administrators and police, Holgate said it was a "hasty" decision and felt she had reported the incident by sending two of the students to the front office, documents say.

How did the school district respond?

The Peoria Unified School District released a statement acknowledging the two arrests and that it was cooperating with law enforcement.

"The safety and well-being of our students is paramount," the district said. "Should a student need someone to talk to about what they are feeling, we will have our social worker and members of our counseling team available. The Peoria Police Department is encouraging those with information in this case to reach out to them through the Tip Phone Line: 623-773-7045 or via e-mail:  [email protected] ."

The district said Battillo coached basketball for the school since 2019 when he passed a background check and had no previous reports of misconduct during his tenure. Holgate was a teacher at the school since 2000.

Are Battillo and Holgate still in jail?

Sgt. Monica Bretado, a spokesperson for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, said Battillo remained in jail as of Thursday morning while Holgate bonded out.

Battillo attended an initial appearance hearing where the judge set his bond at $100,000. If bonded out, Battillo would be required to undergo electronic monitoring. He would also be barred from contacting any of the victims, Holgate or any minors. He would also not be allowed to use the Internet except for work, school or consulting with this attorney.

Holgate, whose felony charges are lower classes than Battillo's, had her bond set at $25,000. Holgate would also be under supervised release but isn't subjected to electronic monitoring or restricted Internet usage.
