But if you do choose to go with the paid plan, EssayGenius premium account is as affordable as Notion AI .

Essay Genius is also not only about text generation. Sadly, there are no options for summarization or rewriting of the text. Nonetheless, you will be able to rephrase the sentences you don’t like right on the platform. 

By the way, also consider that the service is now only available as an online platform, and can’t be installed as an app or added as an extension to your browser. We also weren’t quite satisfied seeing this tendency, as we understand how much more convenient it would be if you could harvest this AI’s potential right in your Google Docs. 

As we looked at all the opportunities provided by EssayGenius.ai and its prices, we couldn’t say that we were satisfied. For now, this platform could hardly be called a complex AI essay-generating service. That’s why its value for money turned out quite low and should definitely be improved.

On the contrary to the value for money aspect, Essaygenius showed to be great in terms of the overall experience. The first thing we noticed was that it was easy to register and didn’t require us to take any additional steps. All we needed was our email and our profile was set up in seconds. Nonetheless, if you don’t want to create an account right away, keep in mind that you can try the platform’s features without it as well. 

The website itself was very minimalistic but therefore easy to manage. The essay generation was simple as well. We created the document, typed down our topic, and, just after 10 seconds we had our essay done and ready. There was, though, a 350-word limit per generation. You want an AI generator to create a quality essay for you, don’t you? But it’s hard to know. You probably already heard numerous stories about unsuccessfully created papers and wouldn’t want yours to be the same.

Well, we checked whether Essay Genius would repeat any of these stories by creating an essay of our own using its algorithms. When we generated the text, we didn’t have many opportunities to organize it into the document right there. The platform allowed us to do minor formatting (like changing fonts) but other than that there were no options to choose APA or MLA formats, create an outline, or add references. So take into account this fact when planning out your time for paper writing.

As we organized everything into one document, we sent it to our partner Dr Sybil  for evaluation. The essay came back with 84.2/100 pts grade . It got the highest score (100%) for spelling and grammar and near-perfect results for punctuation (95%) and word choice (96%). Clarity was also notably good, gaining 90%. 

There also were some problematic results. The text was a little short and there were small issues with formatting (mainly font control and vertical spacing). The main problems though were with objectivity of the writing, which only gained 61%, and efficiency, as it was marked with 51%.

Professor Sybil shared her comments about the reviewed paper:

This essay was interesting to read, mainly because of the vocabulary that was used. The narrative was just flowing like a river. I would be happy to read more of that story. I think I could have marked it higher if the plot line was more elaborate. For me, the topic wasn’t fully disclosed. I also noticed the sentences getting a bit repetitive at times and that was when it became evident that it wasn’t a student who wrote this paper. Generally, if someone added a personal touch to the text it would have resulted even in a higher grade .

In the end, Essaygenius almost nailed the essay. So it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to use its text as a starting point for your writing assignments.

Getting better/ still needs some work

Even tho this is super amazing I still feel it’s got a lot of flaws and bugs from maintaining a solid UNrepetitive content it just seem when it’s on a roll …..inconsistant . all of a sudden it take a whole sideways leap into either sabatoge or malfunction, I mean I pay for a subscription so I’m not sure why it keeps back stabbing with content that seems good but when proofing and editing it’s really noticeable that it going in circles preventing me from actually completing a project it almost seems like the feee version works better than the paid

Critical Me Enjoys A Certain Conspiratorial Collusion

I try as many as i can figure out how to carry [“GENIUS: AI Chat” is one] but I FAILED TO MAKE NOTES. So, which of these Chat ai programs is the best. At almost 80 years of age I definitely notice differences in quality. But which one was most satisfactory? I gave this one 5 stars for five stars worth of usefulness, and ease of use. However, there are several logos, like this white logo of green background and three white “electron orbits” that are stylized. My other two favorites showing displays of similar logos. MY POINT…when you have tried ‘em all, they begin to blend in my mind. I like them all enough to take a minute to rate them, but I don’t like them enough, nor do i find one to stand out above the others in dramatic style. I wish their logos were more discrete. I find them all fantastic. I think they reflect some fantastic capabilities. I wish the logos separated them more clearly in my mind’s eye. I find that they all will argue with you if you are inclined to dispute their infallibility. If you butter them up, they seem to like it. I would encourage serious use of these include systemic note taking so you can keep you mind focused better than i did.

A bit too biased

Just like other AI programs like GPT, this program has a tendency to exhibit bias towards certain things that are unwarranted. For example, if I were to make a harmless joke about Trump, using his own words, this program would reject it on political and satirical grounds. Although it has its uses, it can be a bit slow at times due to congestion. Nonetheless, this is tolerable and comprehensible. The major issue with these biased software is that the programmers have incorporated bias to either evade lawsuits or advance their own agenda. It's up to you to decide.
