Special Assignment - High Steal is a Mission in LEGO City Undercover . It triggers during Chapter 12 - The Con in Construction and takes place at the Construction Site. In this mission, Chase McCain needs to steal a crane.

Walkthrough [ ]

Begin by heading to the back-left side of the area and pushing the barrel there to the left. Break into the door it was blocking and open the cabinet to unlock the Construction Worker disguise. Next, fix the fuse box in the same room to unveil a color switch. Now, head to the bottom-right side of the stage and use the Astro Crate to beam in a Color Swapper . Use it, then shoot the switch you just uncovered. Hop in the steamroller and drive it on top of the large red switch to open the gate to the next area. After opening the gate, look for four patches of broken ground and use your new-found drill to break them up further. Drill down through each one to release a geyser, emptying a pool in the background bit by bit. Use the Astro Crate at the bottom of the pool to beam in some gears that you can place into the mechanism on the wall to the right. Next, pull the switch to drop some more pieces which you can build into a ladder to reach the unfinished building in the back. Pull down a ladder with your Grapple Gun , then break into the room above to find a Dynamite dispenser. Take some of the explosives back down to the silver wall below and blow it up to advance. Grapple up to the next floor and head to the right. Fix the fuse box on top of the yellow elevator, then drop down and pull the lever to ascend. Douse the fire to the left, then use the Farmer disguise to grow some vines on the wall. Climb up and head to the right, dropping down just short of the toxic gas fumes to pull a switch, deactivating them. Chop through the boarded-up door in the next room to enter the next area.

Drop down the tube into the next large area, then head to the left and smash the boulder next to the dog house to find a scan point. Follow the clue to dig up a bone, then dump it in the bowl to lure the dog away. Grab the key from the dog house and use it to open the door in the back, next to the flustered construction worker. Pull the lever inside to open the gate to the left. In the next area you'll find a Super Build for the crane, but you likely won't have enough Super Bricks to build it. Head back to the right and drill down through the ground to find your first one. Next, drill through the ground further to the right to spring a geyser that will lift you up to a short event where you must destroy all the objects with your drill. A Super Brick will be your award. Head back toward the Super Build and jump up to the small building in the back. Break into it for another Super Brick . Now you should have enough to build the crane. Hop into your newly-constructed crane and drive to the right. Use its arm to arrange the colored pipes on the ground, opening the gate to the exit.

Characters [ ], construction foreman [ ].

On the first floor of the under-construction building, climb the ladder to the right of the elevator, then use the Jetpack to reach a handhold that will allow you to reach the room above where the token awaits.

Patrick Wenham [ ]

Directly behind the LEGO head that you built for the third police shield piece is a small bin. Crack it open to find this token.

Vehicles [ ]

Foundation [ ].

Turn the wheel on the side of the cement mixer in the bottom-right corner of the first area to knock some bricks down. Build these into a small switch-activated elevator that will take you up to the vehicle token.

Before sliding down the tube in the very beginning of the second area, smash the small bin in the corner to find this token.

Police Shields [ ]

Police shield #1 [ ].

Destroy five piles of boulders in the first area to gain this shield piece.

Police Shield #2 [ ]

Drink three cups of coffee at each station scattered around the first area and this shield piece will be yours.

Police Shield #3 [ ]

In the second area, build three objects (a duck, the Traveller's Tales logo, and a LEGO man's head) to obtain this piece of shield.

Police Shield #4 [ ]

Destroy a pile of boulders in the second area to find a scan point, then follow it to a hatch which will produce a pile of bricks. Build these into an RC digger and use it to dig up four piles of dirt.

Ring Tone - Belch

Cost: 10,000

Ring Tone - Honk

Ring Tone - Donkey

Albatross Island

Police Siren Hat - Inside the prison walls, look for a tiled floor on the far-right side of the area and break it open with the Construction disguise. Climb over to the opposite ledge and jump into the fenced-off area to the north. Finally, walk up to the tall guard tower and use your Robber disguise to break open the door to this brick. 

Alternatively, you can access the yard with the tall guard tower using the teleporter on the beach.

Cost: 20,000

Apollo Island

Super Ray Gun - Located at the bottom of a missle silo.  To get this one, you have to build the Stunt Ramp (10K) at the end of the runway.  Jump a vehicle over to the island and press all four red buttons within the given time.  When all four buttons have been pressed, the floor will slide open to reveal the Red Brick.

Data Scan Upgrade - Character Challenges - In Auburn, look for a green trash can near two park benches. Break it to find a Clue Path which will lead you right to the brick. This brick enables you to find Character Challenges with your scanner.

Cost: 15,000

Auburn Bay Bridge

Data Scan Upgrade - Red Bricks - On a tight rope between the two south towers of the Auburn Bay Bridge. Destroy the blue-and-white barrel on one side of the bridge and rebuild its pieces into a trampoline that will allow you to climb up and reach the tight rope. This brick will allow you to see Red Bricks through your scanner.

Blackwell Bridge

Nitrous For All - Look for the side of the bridge with the blue pole and jump down to the water below, then swim over to the blue-and-white studded ramp. At the top of it, you'll find this brick which gives all vehicles a Nitrous boost.

Bluebell National Park

Data Scan Upgrade - Clues - Look for a silver box outside of the mine and blow it up with the Miner disguise's dynamite. Inside you'll find this brick, which upgrades your scanner to find Clues Paths.

Bright Lights Plaza

Instant Vehicles - Find Wheatley's Bakery and use the elevator to ride up to the hallway with this brick. It will allow you to call in vehicles anywhere in the world.

Cost: 250,000

Cherry Tree Hills

Data Scan Upgrade - City Challenges - This Red Brick is located inside bay 3 on the outside of the Police building. It requires the Robber disguise.

Crescent Park

Super Ram - Head to the far end of the beach and jump into the water. Swim up just a bit to find an alcove housing the brick.

Crosstown Tunnel

Super Drill Ride - Part-way down the tunnel, you'll find an orange-handled door. Pull it open with Rex to find the brick.

Wonder Whistle - Climb up onto the bank's roof via the flower pot, and open the sky-light with your Robber disguise. Drop down and teleport at the Astronaut pad. Once on the roof, jump off to the left and jetpack or chicken-glide to the opposite building. Finally, break into the locked door to grab the brick.

Alternately, use the Construction Worker disguise to break the ground at the end of the buildings by the circular object, then ride the water up to the level where the door is located. 

Festival Square

Longer Vehicle Boost - Look for the fenced-in area opposite the green alligator balloon and jump inside. Build the trampoline there and use it to launch up onto the building. Climb up and circle around to the other side where you'll find a pot that the Farmer can use to grow a vine. Climb up again to reach the roof. Walk down to the end where you'll find a Free Run token. Head around to the back/blind-side of the roof to find the brick.

Fort Meadows

Data Scan Upgrade - Tokens - Located in the tunnel to the beach. It requires the Miner disguise. Blow through the silver blocks with dynamite, then smash another pile inside to uncover the brick. Your scanner will now be able to find Character and Vehicle Tokens scattered throughout the world.

Fall Rescue - Look for the building on the far end of the small villas with a blue pipe snaking up it. Climb to the roof and traverse across the Free Run blocks. When you reach the greenhouse, use the Astronaut disguise to teleport down to this brick, which will always rescue you from falls.

Cost: 400,000

Grand Canal

Ring Tone - Pig - Located inside a locked room on the catwalk. It requires the Robber disguise.

Heritage Bridge

Collect Sat Nav Studs -Use the Construction Worker disguise to smash the ground near one of the bridge's towers and climb up, then walk along the small ledges to reach the other side. Next, climb up to the top of the bridge and cross over to the other side where you'll find the tight rope. Slide down it to grab the brick.

Cost: 60,000

Kings Court

Invincibility - Near the basketball court, hop over the fence and climb up to the building's roof, then slide over to the other side on the tight rope. Shimmy over to the next roof and use Rex to break open the orange-handled door.

Cost: 500,000

Lady Liberty Island

Mario Hat - In Downtown, look for an orange-handled box inside the circular area, then build the warp pipe to Lady Liberty Island. Once there, look for the blue flag pole and climb to the top, then walk over to the statue's base. Teleport up to the top and use the Firefighter to put out the torch's fire. Finally, slide down the tight rope from the top to grab the brick.

LEGO City Airport

Super Fast Travel - Drive to the Airport and look for the red building near the hangers on the east side. Break open the orange-handled door with Rex to find the brick inside. This brick allows you to teleport to any Train Station you've found.

Cost: 100,000

Super Axe Smash - Use a helicopter to fly over to the crash pad above the tall red building in Pagoda, then use the Astronaut's jetpack to fly over to the next building. Walk over the tight rope and grab this brick which will speed up your Fireman's axe.

Cost: 30,000

Paradise Sands

Ring Tone - Gas - Climb up Honey Hotel and use the Farmer disguise to float over to the far building. Traverse the roofs until you reach Herbert Hotel. Cross over on the small ledge in front of the sign to nab the brick.

Super Color Gun - Head to the art museum and use the Farmer disguise to grow some vines on the side rescue in front of the building. Climb up and switch the Robber's color gun to green. Hop down and run to the other side of Uptown to the toy store.  Shoot the color target on the left and ride the rocket up. Use the Astronaut teleporter on the railing to reach the brick.

Gaining it means you'll never have to worry about switching colors in your Robber's color gun.

Note: there is a cat to rescue in front of the other billboard.

Special Assignment 1: Some Assaults / The Rooftops

Fast Build - On the roof of the 3rd building, go to the far left edge of the roof.  Use the Astronaut disguise and jet pack to jump back to the roof of the 2nd building.  There are three white generators on the roof that need to be destroyed and reassembled.  Once they are all assembled, it will restore pawer to the fan.  Use the fan to get to the next level.  The Red Brick will be waiting there.

Cost: 40,000

Special Assignment 2: Trouble in Stir

Studs x2 - On the second floor of the prison block, there is a cell on the left that has the robber symbol. Pry open the cell door then smash through the wall connecting them.

Cost: 200,000

Special Assignment 3: Miner Altercation

Unlimited Dynamite - During this Special Assignment, play through the stage until the very end, then use the Farmer disguise to float over to the platforms on the left. Run up the Donkey Kong-inspired ledges to reach the red brick, which will bestow you with Unlimited Dynamite while in the open world portion of the game.

Special Assignment 4:  Kung Fool

Super Throw - On the upper balcony, look down below to find four portraits of Chase. Use the valves in front of the boxes above to line up the tool with the disguise in the portrait below. Once all four are matched, the Red Brick will appear.

Cost:  15,000

Special Assignment 5: Dirty Work

Studs x4 - In the sewer during the Bank Heist. It is in a locked room near a color swapper.

Special Assignment 6: Astronaughty

Super Astro Crate - On the hangar floor, go to the back left hand corner and fix the fuse box.  Take the newly activated elevator up to the rafters and grab some dynamite.  Get back down to the main hangar floor and follow the arrows to the dynamite bucket.  Blow up the floor panel and drop to the lower level.  Fix the fuse box (used for a police shield piece) then break through the door on the right.  Use the telporter to get to the upper levels.  Break down the door with the fire axe then crack the safe for the red brick.

Special Assignment 7: Scrapyard Scrap

Super Safe Crack - After the gate in the first area, go to the far right.  Look for the crate with the orange handle.  Pull of the handle to reveal a catapult.  Launch yourself into the red brick.

Special Assignment 8: The Colossal Fossil Hustle

Super Break & Enter - In the main Dinosaur Exhibit, there are two dinosaur skulls at the far end of the hall.  Pull the handles off of each skull and put the parts in the dinosaur skeleton on the left side of the building.  Then go to the second floor and find the crate with the orange handle.  Pull the crate apart and place the piece in the dinosaur skeleton.  When all three pieces are reattached, the red block will appear.

Special Assignment 9: Hot Property

Costumes - Located in a locked room just inside the fire station. Break down the door to access the red brick.

Special Assignment 10: Smash 'n' Grab

Attract Studs - Located in a room behind a fire door. It requires the Construction disguise.  At the beginning of the level, follow the path all the way to the right end of cave.  Part of the mission requires you to water a red plant and go to the right to drop into a room to open a door.  At the top of the vine, go to the left instead.  Go all the way back to the left and slide down a rope to a fuse box.  Fix the fuse box and break down the door with the axe.

Special Assignment 11: They All Scream For Ice Cream

Extra Hearts - In the first area, there are three items that have color swapper lights on them.  Two are on the first floor and one is on the second floor behind the Pappalardo's sign.  Activate them all and the Red Brick will appear on the first floor.

Special Assignment 12: High Steal

Studs x6 - There is a room in the second area of the construction site that must be broken into using the Firefighter disguise.  Break down the door to collect the Red Rrick.   

Cost: 600,000

The Red Brick was retrieved on an earlier run through so it is not visible in the room on the left.

Special Assignment 13: Disruptive Behavior

Studs x8 - After jumping off the platform and sending the rocket through the blast doors, there is a crate with an orange handle.  The red brick is behind an electric fence.  Pull the handle off the box to find an astronaut box.  Activate the box to retrieve a handle.  Pull the handle to deactivate the electric fence.

Cost: 800,000

Special Assignment 14: Breaking and Reentering

Attract Bricks - Use the Astronaut disguise on the special block at the top of the stairs.  It will teleport a red mail box to the area.  Destroy the mailbox to collect the red brick.

Special Assignment 15: Fly Me to the Moon

Studs x10 - At the top of the elevator, pull open the orange-handled crate, then assemble the red light. Shoot it green to open the dome.

Cost: 1,000,000

100% Completion

Super Minifigure - Makes you gigantic, while outside.

Cost: Free.

Lego City Undercover: How to Unlock All Character Disguises

Lego City Undercover features a ton of different disguises to unlock for your characters, ranging from police officers to firefighters.

There are many character disguises and vehicles to be found in LEGO City Undercover. Each of these disguises or vehicles carries a significant advantage. In this guide, we will tell you how to locate, find and unlock each one of these disguises and vehicles.

Lego City Undercover All Disguises

There are 290 Lego City Undercover character disguises for you to unlock. There are three ways in which you can unlock these disguises – Some are unlocked as you progress through the story. Some are unlocked when you find character tokens in the special assignments while others are unlocked when you find character tokens in the LEGO city.

There are 8 character disguise that you can earn through the story mode:

• Chase McCain (Civilian)
• Chase McCain (Police)
• Chase McCain (Robber)
• Chase McCain (Miner)
• Chase McCain (Astronaut)
• Chase McCain (Farmer)
• Chase McCain (Fireman)
• Chase McCain (Construction)

You can switch between disguises through the ‘Disguise Wheel.’ For the rest you need to spend the character tokens you find in the police store to unlock them. All of the 290 disguises are divided into 8 different categories.

There are certain abilities that are akin to the type of disguise.

• Police Officers : Can use grapple gun, audio scan, criminal scan, data scan and the detective scan.
• Criminals & Robbers : Can use crowbar, stethoscope and the color gun.
• Miners : Can use pickaxe and dynamite.
• Astronauts : Can use beam in support, jetpack jump, teleport and raise the flag.
• Farmers : Can use chicken glide and watering can.
• Firefighters : Can use the fire extinguisher and fire axe.
• Construction Workers : Can use the coffee break, hammer and the pneumatic drill.
• Civilians/Specials : These characters disguises have no special abilities.
• Now let’s talk about how to unlock each one of these disguises.

We will start with the police disguises:

Police Disguises Unlock

Chase McCain Inside the police station, it can be acquired via story mode progression.

Chase Undercover Inside the police station, it can be acquired via story mode progression.

Chase Suit Unlocked during the special assignment 7: Scrapyard Scrap. Hack the safe and unlock the trailer to acquire this get-up.

Bea Heckerson In the Fort Meadows, destroy 3 hay bales around farmer Hayes’s fields then build a scarecrow to acquire this disguise.

Blubs In the Paradise Sands, it can be found in a silver rock under the grotto.

Brickett In the bluebell national park, it can be acquired after completing the free run of the zone.

Butch Patterson In Cherry Tree hills, it can be acquired from the police booth near the ferry.

Cacey In downtown, you will find it near the top of the bank.

Chuck Morrison You can unlock it by completing all ‘vehicle robbers arrested’ in LEGO city.

Clutch In the Pogada, it can be acquired from the pigeon coop on the roof of Hank’s garage.

Damumbo In the Auburn Bay Bridge, on top of the drainpipe above the bridge.

Detective In the Cherry Top Hills, it can be acquired if you use the scan spot near the huge billboard by the radio tower.

Doorlock Homes In the Kings Court, it can be acquired If you paint 4 phone boxes red.

Dr. Whatsit In the Kings Court, it can be acquired after painting the LEGO brick statue.

Duke Huckleberry Inside the national bluebell park, it can be acquired after building the stunt ramp super build.

Ellie Philips On the Lady Liberty Island, it can be acquired after breaking into the information hut.

Frank Honey On the Heritage bridge, it can be acquired after you construct the model citizen super build.

Frank Poolside In the Paradise Sands, it can be acquired after you complete the zone’s free run.

Horace Cone In the Kings Court, it can be acquired from near the train station.

Lagney In the Pogada, it can be acquired from the north part of the canal.

Marion Dunby It can be acquired after you complete ‘Gangs Arrested’ in LEGO city.

Mayor Gleeson In the Kings Court, make bullet bill blow up the cage for you to acquire this disguise.

Officer Park In uptown, it can be acquired from an awning outside of Herbert hotel.

Pat Patterson In the Bright Lights plaza, it can be acquired if you paint the ‘L’ of the ‘Hotel’ sign yellow.

Prison Guard In the Albatross Island, it can be acquired after you build the disguise booth.

Quentin Spencer In the Pagoda, it can be acquired from the tv store rooftop.

Ranger Barber In the bluebell national park, it can be acquired if you build a disguise booth.

Ranger Lewis In the bluebell national park, it can be acquired if you pry open the skylight on top of the Sherriff Hukleberry’s police station.

Rodney Baxter In the Paradise Sands, it can be acquired from an awning on top of a hotel in the bazar.

Security Guard In the Cherry Tree Hills, it can be acquired from the police booth behind the police station.

Security Supervisor In the Lady Liberty Island, it can be acquired after you build the disguise booth.

Shaky Hills In the Cherry Tree Hills, it can be acquired from inside the Red Café

Studski In the special assignment ‘Scrapyard Scrap’, look for it behind the boarded door in the scrap yard.

Ted Baxter On the Heritage Bridge, it can be acquired from the top of the first tower of the bridge.

Traffic Cop In downtown, it can be acquired if you paint the three silver traffic post tops near the back yellow.

Criminals & Robbers Disguises Unlock

Robber In special assignment 2 ‘Trouble in Stir’, it can be acquired via story mode progression.

Bucky Butler In the uptown, it can be acquired if you paint the knight statues outside the museum.

Carlo Clone In the Crescent Park, it can be acquired after you paint the balloons on the gazebo with correct colors.

Carlo Jerome In Fresco, it can be acquired after you built the ice cream statue.

Chan Chuang In the Pogada, it can be acquired after you build the Bob-omb and throw it at the cage.

Chao Hui In the Pogada, it can be acquired after you paint the sliver lanterns red.

Clown Robber Lou In the Cherry Tree Hills, it can be acquired from the rooftop of the LEGO City back.

Clown Robber Max In Auburn, it can be acquired after you open one of the metal doors at the base of one the cranes, north of the dock.

Clown Robber Wes In the LEGO city airport, it can be acquired if you paint the flowers the correct color.

Dougy Dungarees In Fort Meadows, it can be acquired from the cabin. You can go in through the cabin door.

Eddie JoJo In the Bright Lights Plaza, it can be acquired after you paint the 3 ice cream dispensers pink.

Bobby Hammer In Auburn, there is a collection of buildings in the south starting from the flower pot. Towards the end is a high crate with a token on it.

Construction Foreman During the Special Assignment 12: “High Steal”, use the jetpack to jump and reach the small room located above the ladder that you are supposed to pull down with the grapple gun. Inside, there is a blue cabinet. Smash it to reveal the token.

Docks Crane Driver In Auburn, climb the eastern crane to find the token at the top.

Docks Foreman There is a free run event in Auburn. Beat it to get the disguise.

Garage Worker Smash four objects in the beach of Auburn, and build their bricks into palm trees and other things.

Harbor Worker In Auburn, you will need to build the disguise booth.

Lance Linberger In the central buildings of Auburn, use the chimney updrafts to reach the token.

Maintenance Worker Build the disguise booth in Cherry Tree Hills.

Lego City Undercover Disguises – Construction Workers


LEGO City wasn’t built in a day, but it was built by Construction Workers. This class includes not only men and women who drive construction vehicles, but garbage men, tow truck drivers, and maintenance workers. The Construction class – yes, even the Garbage Worker – comes equipped with a drill, which is used to destroy shaky ground found all across the city.

There are eight classes in LEGO City Undercover: Civilian , Police , Robber , Miner , Astronaut , Farmer , Fireman , and Construction . Below is an excerpt from the official LEGO City Undercover guide detailing the disguises found in the Construction class:

LEGO City is an ever-expanding metropolis, and construction workers are the ones who keep the city going.

• Pneumatic Drill: This powerful tool is ideal for drilling through loose, shaky pavement.
• Hammer: Construction workers use their trusty hammers to knock some sense into fuse boxes on the fritz.
• Coffee Break: As a union worker, it’s important to exercise your right to a break every now and then. Look for special coffee break stations around LEGO City, and use a construction worker disguise to take a breather!
