What Is a Business Plan?

A business plan provides a snapshot of your gaming lounge business as it stands today, and lays out your growth plan for the next five years. It explains your business goals and your strategies for reaching them. It also includes market research to support your plans.

Why You Need a Business Plan

If you’re looking to start a gaming lounge business or grow your existing gaming lounge company, you need a business plan. A business plan will help you raise funding, if needed, and plan out the growth of your gaming lounge business to improve your chances of success. Your gaming lounge business plan is a living document that should be updated annually as your company grows and changes.

Sources of Funding for Gaming Lounge Businesses

With regards to funding, the main sources of funding for a gaming lounge business are personal savings, credit cards, bank loans, and angel investors. When it comes to bank loans, banks will want to review your business plan (hand it to them in person or email to them as a PDF file) and gain confidence that you will be able to repay your loan and interest. To acquire this confidence, the loan officer will not only want to ensure that your financials are reasonable, but they will also want to see a professional plan. Such a plan will give them the confidence that you can successfully and professionally operate a business. Personal savings and bank loans are the most common funding paths for gaming lounge companies.

How to write a business plan for a gaming lounge business.

If you want to start a gaming lounge business or expand your current one, you need a business plan. The guide and sample below details the necessary information for how to write each essential component of your gaming lounge business plan.

Executive Summary

Your executive summary provides an introduction to your business plan, but it is normally the last section you write because it provides a summary of each key section of your plan.

The goal of your executive summary is to quickly engage the reader. Explain to them the kind of gaming lounge business you are running and the status. For example, are you a startup, do you have a gaming lounge business that you would like to grow, or are you operating a chain of gaming lounge businesses?

Next, provide an overview of each of the subsequent sections of your plan.

  • Give a brief overv iew of the gaming lounge industry.
  • Discuss the type of gaming lounge business you are operating.
  • Detail your direct competitors. Give an overview of your target customers.
  • Provide a snapshot of your marketing strategy. Identify the key members of your team.
  • Offer an overview of your financial plan.

Company Overview

In your company overview, you will detail the type of gaming lounge business you are operating.

For example, you m ight specialize in one of the following types of gaming lounge businesses:

  • Gaming lounge membership club : While the lounge is dedicated to serious video game play, the members-only club creates a community of friends and hours of enjoyment. Members pay monthly dues for unlimited access to video gaming, virtual reality and class video slot machine play.
  • Board game cafe: Board gaming cafes are dedicated to board game aficionados who join any games that appeal to them. Appetizers and beverages may be offered.
  • Arcade gaming lounge: For video arcade diehards, the arcade gaming lounge represents the classic arcade games much beloved by players. Games are video slot machine-play.
  • Gaming bar and grill: For players who like to combine the latest video games, virtual reality and high-end technology, gaming bars are the go-to place. Players typically have a choice of beer, wine or cocktails with favorite foods, such as burgers and fries, from the grill.

In addition to explaining the type of gaming lounge business you will operate, the company overview needs to provide background on the business.

Include answers to questions such as:

  • When and why did you start the business?
  • What milestones have you achieved to date? Milestones could include the number of gamers served, the number of large gaming events held, or, reaching X number of lounges opened, etc.
  • Your legal business structure. Are you incorporated as an S-Corp? An LLC? A sole proprietorship? Explain your legal structure here.

Industry Analysis

In your industry or market analysis, you need to provide an overview of the gaming lounge industry.

While this may seem unnecessary, it serves multiple purposes.

First, researching the gaming lounge industry educates you. It helps you understand the market in which you are operating.

Secondly, market research can improve your marketing strategy, particularly if your analysis identifies market trends.

The third reason is to prove to readers that you are an expert in your industry. By conducting the research and presenting it in your plan, you achieve just that.

The following questions should be answered in the industry analysis section of your gaming lounge business plan:

  • How big is the gaming lounge industry (in dollars)?
  • Is the market declining or increasing?
  • Who are the key competitors in the market?
  • Who are the key suppliers in the market?
  • What trends are affecting the industry?
  • What is the industry’s growth forecast over the next 5 – 10 years?
  • What is the relevant market size? That is, how big is the potential target market for your gaming lounge business? You can extrapolate such a figure by assessing the size of the market in the entire country and then applying that figure to your local population.

Customer Analysis

The customer analysis section of your gaming lounge business plan must detail the customers you serve and/or expect to serve.

The following are examples of customer segments: individuals, club members, event partygoers, and corporations.

As you can imagine, the customer segment(s) you choose will have a great impact on the type of gaming lounge business you operate. Clearly, individuals would respond to different marketing promotions than event partygoers, for example.

Try to break out your target customers in terms of their demographic and psychographic profiles. With regards to demographics, including a discussion of the ages, genders, locations, and income levels of the potential customers you seek to serve.

Psychographic profiles explain the wants and needs of your target customers. The more you can recognize and define these needs, the better you will do in attracting and retaining your customers. Ideally you can speak with a sample of your target customers before writing your plan to better understand their needs.

Competitive Analysis

Your competitive analysis should identify the indirect and direct competitors your business faces and then focus on the latter.

Direct competitors are othe r gaming lounge businesses.

Indirect competitors are other options that customers have to purchase from that aren’t directly competing with your product or service. This includes bowling alleys with pinball machines, at-home gaming, or gambling with casino-play. You need to mention direct competition, as well.

For each direct competitor, provide an overview of their business and document their strengths and weaknesses. Unless you once worked at your competitors’ businesses, it will be impossible to know everything about them. But you should be able to find out key things about them such as

  • What types of customers do they serve?
  • What type of gaming lounge business are they?
  • What is their pricing (premium, low, etc.)?
  • What are they good at?
  • What are their weaknesses?

With regards to the last two questions, think about your answers from the customers’ perspective. And don’t be afraid to ask your competitors’ customers what they like most and least about them.

The final part of your competitive analysis section is to document your areas of competitive advantage. For example:

  • Will you provide rewards for frequent players?
  • Will you offer events, such as video tournaments, that your competition doesn’t?
  • Will you provide the newest technology in gaming consoles?
  • Will you offer better pricing?

Think about ways you will outperform your competition and document them in this section of your plan.

Marketing Plan

Traditionally, a marketing plan includes the four P’s: Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. For a gaming lounge business plan, your marketing strategy should include the following:

Product : In the product section, you should reiterate the type o f gaming lounge company that you documented in your company overview. Then, detail the specific products or services you will be offering. For example, will you provide gaming tournaments, rewards for frequent players, themed parties, club membership perks and extended gaming hours on special occasions?

Price : Document the prices you will offer and how they compare to your competitors. Essentially in the product and price sub-sections of yo ur plan, yo u are presenting the products and/or services you offer and their prices.

Place : Place refers to the site of your gaming lounge company. Document where your company is situated and mention how the site will impact your success. For example, is your gaming lounge business located in a popular restaurant and theater district, a standalone building or in a “destination” setting? Discuss how your site might be the ideal location for your customers.

Promotions : The final part of your gaming lounge marketing plan is where you will document how you will drive potential customers to your location(s). The following are some promotional methods you might consider:

  • Advertise in gaming magazines
  • Reach out to gaming websites
  • Distribute flyers for special gaming events
  • Engage in email marketing
  • Advertise to club members on social media platforms
  • Improve the SEO (search engine optimization) on your website for targeted keywords

Operations Plan

While the earlier sections of your business plan explained your goals, your operations plan describes how you will meet them. Your operations plan should have two distinct sections as follows.

Everyday short-term processes include all of the tasks involved in running your gaming lounge business, including adding and maintaining video machines and equipment, planning and providing tournaments and special events, restocking food inventory, etc.

Long-term goals are the milestones you hope to achieve. These could include the dates when you expect to book your Xth gaming tournament, or when you hope to reach $X in revenue. It could also be when you expect to expand your gaming lounge business to additional locations.

Management Team

To demonstrate your gaming lounge business’ potential to succeed, a strong management team is essential. Highlight your key players’ backgrounds, emphasizing those skills and experiences that prove their ability to grow a company.

Ideally, you and/or your team members have direct experience in managing gaming lounge businesses. If so, highlight this experience and expertise. But also highlight any experience that you think will help your business succeed.

If your team is lacking, consider assembling an advisory board. An advisory board would include 2 to 8 individuals who would act as mentors to your business. They would help answer questions and provide strategic guidance. If needed, look for advisory board members with experience in managing a gaming lounge business or successfully running a video arcade or casino gaming room.

Financial Plan

Your financial plan should include your 5-year financial statement broken out both monthly or quarterly for the first year and then annually. Your financial statements include your income statement, balance s heet, and cash flow statements.

Income Statement

An income statement is more commonly called a Profit and Loss statement or P&L. It shows your revenue and then subtracts your costs to show whether you turned a profit or not.

In developing your income statement, you need to devise assumptions. For example, will you see 10 new video club memberships per day, or develop new ways to enhance video gamer play areas ? And will sales grow by 2% or 10% per year? As you can imagine, your choice of assumptions will greatly impact the financial forecasts for your business. As much as possible, conduct research to try to root your assumptions in reality.

Balance Sheets

Balance sheets show your assets and liabilities. While balance sheets can include much information, try to simplify them to the key items you need to know about. For instance, if you spend $50,000 on building out your gaming lounge business, this will not give you immediate profits. Rather it is an asset that will hopefully help you generate profits for years to come. Likewise, if a lender writes you a check for $50,000, you don’t need to pay it back immediately. Rather, that is a liability you will pay back over time.

Cash Flow Statement

Your cash flow statement will help determine how much money you need to start or grow your business, and ensure you never run out of money. What most entrepreneurs and business owners don’t realize is that you can turn a profit but run out of money and go bankrupt.

When creating your Income Statement and Balance Sheets be sure to include several of the key costs needed in starting or growing a video game room business:

  • Cost of gaming equipment and maintenance
  • Payroll or salaries paid to staff
  • Business insurance
  • Other start-up expenses (if you’re a new business) like legal expenses, permits, computer software, and foodstuffs, board games, barware, or restaurant equipment

Attach your full financial projections in the appendix of your plan along with any supporting documents that make your plan more compelling. For example, you might include your office location lease or a list of club memberships generating steady income.

Writing a business plan for your gaming lounge business is a worthwhile endeavor. If you follow the template above, by the time you are done, you will truly be an expert and understand how to start a gaming lounge business. You will understand the gaming lounge industry, your competition, and your customers. You will develop a marketing strategy and will understand what it takes to launch and grow a successful gaming lounge business.

2. Products & Services Offered by Your Gaming Lounge Business.

The next step is to outline your products and services for your gaming lounge business.

When you think about the products and services that you offer, it's helpful to ask yourself the following questions:

  • What is my business?
  • What are the products and/or services that I offer?
  • Why am I offering these particular products and/or services?
  • How do I differentiate myself from competitors with similar offerings?
  • How will I market my products and services?

You may want to do a comparison of your business plan against those of other competitors in the area, or even with online reviews. This way, you can find out what people like about them and what they don’t like, so that you can either improve upon their offerings or avoid doing so altogether.

3. Build a Creative Marketing Stratgey.

If you don't have a marketing plan for your gaming lounge business, it's time to write one. Your marketing plan should be part of your business plan and be a roadmap to your goals.

A good marketing plan for your gaming lounge business includes the following elements:

  • Who is your target market?
  • What do these customers have in common?
  • How many of them are there?
  • How can you best reach them with your message or product?

Customer base

  • Who are your current customers?

4. Write Your Operational Plan.

Next, you'll need to build your operational plan. This section describes the type of business you'll be running, and includes the steps involved in your operations.

In it, you should list:

  • The equipment and facilities needed
  • Who will be involved in the business (employees, contractors)
  • Financial requirements for each step
  • Milestones & KPIs
  • Location of your business
  • Zoning & permits required for the business

What equipment, supplies, or permits are needed to run a gaming lounge business?

Equipment: -Computer systems with the appropriate gaming hardware and software -Sound systems, such as speakers and headsets. -Gaming consoles such as Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. -Arcade machines like pinball machines and classic video game consoles. Supplies: -Snacks, drinks, and other refreshments for sale. -Tokens or game cards for arcade game machines. -Office supplies such as paper, pens, markers, etc. Permits: -Business license from your local government authority. -Health department permit to sell food. -Liquor license if you are serving alcoholic beverages.

5. Management & Organization of Your Gaming Lounge Business.

The second part of your gaming lounge business plan is to develop a management and organization section.

This section will cover all of the following:

  • How many employees you need in order to run your gaming lounge business. This should include the roles they will play (for example, one person may be responsible for managing administrative duties while another might be in charge of customer service).
  • The structure of your management team. The higher-ups like yourself should be able to delegate tasks through lower-level managers who are directly responsible for their given department (inventory and sales, etc.).
  • How you’re going to make sure that everyone on board is doing their job well. You’ll want check-ins with employees regularly so they have time to ask questions or voice concerns if needed; this also gives you time to offer support where necessary while staying informed on how things are going within individual departments too!

6. Gaming Lounge Business Startup Expenses & Captial Needed.

This section should be broken down by month and year. If you are still in the planning stage of your business, it may be helpful to estimate how much money will be needed each month until you reach profitability.

Typically, expenses for your business can be broken into a few basic categories:

Startup Costs

Startup costs are typically the first expenses you will incur when beginning an enterprise. These include legal fees, accounting expenses, and other costs associated with getting your business off the ground. The amount of money needed to start a gaming lounge business varies based on many different variables, but below are a few different types of startup costs for a gaming lounge business.

Running & Operating Costs

Running costs refer to ongoing expenses related directly with operating your business over time like electricity bills or salaries paid out each month. These types of expenses will vary greatly depending on multiple variables such as location, team size, utility costs, etc.

Marketing & Sales Expenses

You should include any costs associated with marketing and sales, such as advertising and promotions, website design or maintenance. Also, consider any additional expenses that may be incurred if you decide to launch a new product or service line. For example, if your gaming lounge business has an existing website that needs an upgrade in order to sell more products or services, then this should be listed here.

7. Financial Plan & Projections

A financial plan is an important part of any business plan, as it outlines how the business will generate revenue and profit, and how it will use that profit to grow and sustain itself. To devise a financial plan for your gaming lounge business, you will need to consider a number of factors, including your start-up costs, operating costs, projected revenue, and expenses.

Here are some steps you can follow to devise a financial plan for your gaming lounge business plan:

  • Determine your start-up costs: This will include the cost of purchasing or leasing the space where you will operate your business, as well as the cost of buying or leasing any equipment or supplies that you need to start the business.
  • Estimate your operating costs: Operating costs will include utilities, such as electricity, gas, and water, as well as labor costs for employees, if any, and the cost of purchasing any materials or supplies that you will need to run your business.
  • Project your revenue: To project your revenue, you will need to consider the number of customers you expect to have and the average amount they will spend on each visit. You can use this information to estimate how much money you will make from selling your products or services.
  • Estimate your expenses: In addition to your operating costs, you will need to consider other expenses, such as insurance, marketing, and maintenance. You will also need to set aside money for taxes and other fees.
  • Create a budget: Once you have estimated your start-up costs, operating costs, revenue, and expenses, you can use this information to create a budget for your business. This will help you to see how much money you will need to start the business, and how much profit you can expect to make.
  • Develop a plan for using your profit: Finally, you will need to decide how you will use your profit to grow and sustain your business. This might include investing in new equipment, expanding the business, or saving for a rainy day.

Are you about starting a video game lounge? If YES, here is a complete sample video game lounge business plan template & feasibility report you can use for FREE .

Okay, so we have considered all the requirements for starting a video game lounge. We also took it further by analyzing and drafting a sample video game lounge business marketing plan template backed up by actionable guerrilla marketing ideas for video game lounges. So let’s proceed to the business planning section.

If you are passionate about keeping people busy and happy, you should think towards starting your own video game lounge. A video game lounge is one of the easiest businesses to start especially if your aim of starting the business is to take the stress off people and make them happy.

Since the invention of the first video game, tons of interesting video games have been produced and more would still be produced.

You might claim that people prefer playing the games in their houses, and you might be right, but the truth remains that most people cannot afford to keep buying new editions of video games every time they are released; hence the need for video game lounges.

Remember, people visit gaming centres not just for playing games, but to rent latest game cartridges that they do not have or can’t afford. You can also walk up to a gaming centre to exchange your old game box for a newer version at a very minimal fee.

Whether you like it or not, gamers would always come to a point where the games they have no longer look interesting to them, so the need to get a new one. Lastly, it can’t be overemphasized that opening a video game lounge is not an easy task, but nevertheless, you still need to be creative if you intend making money from your business.

One of the ways you can make money from your video game lounge is to ensure that you make your location a complete entertainment spot. Here is a sample video game lounge business plan that can give you the needed guide to write yours.

A Sample Video Game Lounge Business Plan Template

1. industry overview.

A video game lounge or center is a facility where people go to play video games. According to a report published by IBISWorld, the Video Games industry has experienced strong returns on industry products during the latter half of the five-year period to 2018.

While the emergence of low-cost games for mobile devices has slowed demand for other games and may continue to temper growth opportunities in the foreseeable future, industry revenue has picked up amid stronger sales in games, downloadable content (DLC), consoles and their corresponding products.

Over the five years to 2018, industry revenue increased at an annualized rate of 7.2 percent. In 2018, revenue is expected to total $43.7 billion. This growth was assisted by growing consumer incomes and the releases of the revised Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as the Nintendo Switch, throughout the five-year period.

The report shows that over the past five years, the video games industry in the US has grown by 7.2 percent to reach revenue of $44bn in 2018. In the same timeframe, the number of businesses grew by 11.3 percent and the number of employees grew by 5.2 percent.

Statistics has it that in the united states of America alone, there are about 144,152 licensed and registered video game lounges responsible for employing about 230,914 employees and the industry rakes in a whopping sum of $44 billion annually with an annual growth rate projected at 7.2 percent between 2013 and 2018. It is important to state that no establishment has a lion share of the available market in this industry.

Lastly, the need for you to equip your gaming centre can’t possibly be overemphasized because you need to make your business point as attractive as ever.

You would need between 5 to 20 computers, Xbox stations, comfortable chairs, tables, air conditioner, shelve for stocking video games amongst others. You might also want to ask people who are already in the business about the gadgets you might need.

We know that if we get things right before starting our video game lounge, we will not have to struggle before attracting loyal clients and building our customer base to a level where we can easily breakeven. We hired the services of a HR and Business consultant with bias in business structuring to help us conduct SWOT analysis for our organization and he did a pretty good job for us.

Here is a of the result we got from the SWOT analysis that was conducted on behalf of Fast Track® Video Game Lounge, LLC;

We will be open 24 hours in a day during weekends (Fridays to Sundays) and from 6:00 am to 12 midnight from Mondays to Thursdays, thus giving us the advantage to leverage on any available opportunity.

Some of the threats that are likely going to confront Fast Track® Video Game Lounge, LLC are unfavorable government policies , demographic/social factors, downturn in the economy which is likely going to affect consumers spending and lastly, the emergence of new competitors within the same location where our video game lounge is located.

7. MARKET ANALYSIS

  • Market Trends

If you are conversant with the video games industry, you will realize that it was worst hit by economic slowdown and it has still been unable to reach the pre-recession levels. But with creativity, they are bouncing back gradually.

By tradition, individuals with abundant leisure time, such as children and students, represent the primary demographic for video games. However, as more individuals choose outdoor recreational activities and sports, they are less likely to spend time playing video games.

In 2018, the number of individuals participating in sports is forecast to increase, representing a potential threat to the industry.

Video games commonly feature enhanced content for players with broadband internet connection. These features include multiplayer modes, downloadable content and in-game chat functions, which can be free or provided on a fee or subscription basis.

Consumers are expected to increasingly use these online features. The percentage of services conducted online is expected to increase in 2018, representing a potential opportunity for the industry.

Lastly, it is a common trend that as video game lounges grow, it becomes necessary for them to develop new service offerings or install new facilities that will help them attract more people.

Little wonder some video game lounges now have juice and smoothie bars, retail food, alcoholic and non – alcoholic drinks et al within their facility to encourage people to relax and socialize. In order words, it is very important for video game lounges to continue to improvise if they want to grow their business.

Gaming lounges have become extremely popular in recent years, providing a unique and enjoyable experience for avid gamers. With the industry experiencing rapid growth, it's no surprise that many entrepreneurs are interested in starting their own gaming lounge businesses. If you're considering venturing into this exciting industry, this blog post will guide you through the process of writing a business plan for your gaming lounge in just 9 steps. Let's dive in and explore the essentials of setting up a successful gaming lounge.

The gaming industry is thriving, with the global gaming market expected to reach a value of $293.1 billion by 2027 . The demand for gaming lounges is also on the rise, as more and more gamers are looking for social, immersive, and high-quality gaming experiences. By capitalizing on this trend, you have the opportunity to tap into a lucrative market and build a successful gaming lounge.

Before you start your journey, it's crucial to research and understand your target market and potential customers. Identify their preferences, interests, and gaming habits. This information will help you tailor your gaming lounge offerings to meet their needs and stand out from the competition.

Speaking of competition, analyzing your competitors is another crucial step in your business plan. By understanding their strengths and weaknesses, you can position your gaming lounge to offer unique and enticing features that will attract customers. Your goal is to carve out a niche and differentiate yourself from other gaming lounges in the area.

To ensure the financial viability of your gaming lounge, conducting a feasibility study is essential. This study will help you determine the market demand, potential revenue, and expected expenses. It's crucial to carefully analyze these factors to ensure that your gaming lounge can thrive and generate a sustainable income.

Defining your unique selling proposition (USP) and value proposition is crucial in attracting and retaining customers. Identify what sets your gaming lounge apart from others and clearly communicate it to potential customers. Whether it's state-of-the-art equipment, a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, or exclusive partnerships with popular gaming brands, make sure your USP shines through in your business plan.

Setting clear business goals and objectives will not only guide your decision-making process but also keep you focused and motivated. Outline your vision for the gaming lounge and define what success looks like to you. Having concrete goals in mind will help you stay on track and measure your progress.

Location is paramount for the success of your gaming lounge. Consider factors such as foot traffic, accessibility, and proximity to your target market. The facilities you provide, including gaming consoles, comfortable seating, and high-speed internet, must meet the expectations of your customers and provide an optimal gaming experience.

No business can thrive without a solid marketing and advertising strategy. Devise a comprehensive plan that includes online and offline promotions, social media engagement, partnerships with influencers or local businesses, and community events. By reaching out to potential customers and building brand awareness, you'll maximize the chances of success for your gaming lounge.

Financial planning is a vital part of your business plan. Create a detailed budget that includes all your anticipated expenses, such as rent, equipment purchases, utilities, staff salaries, and marketing costs. Also, project your revenue based on your expected customer base and pricing structure. This financial plan will help you assess your profitability and make informed decisions to optimize your gaming lounge's financial performance.

Lastly, consider the management structure and staffing plan for your gaming lounge. Determine the roles and responsibilities of your team members, including your own, and ensure that you have the necessary manpower to operate your business smoothly. Hiring qualified staff who are passionate about gaming and customer service will contribute to the overall success of your gaming lounge.

In conclusion, writing a business plan for a gaming lounge requires careful research, analysis, and planning. By following these 9 essential steps, you can create a roadmap for success that will guide you through the process of setting up and operating a thriving gaming lounge. Embrace the opportunities offered by the gaming industry, and start your journey to becoming a part of this exciting and growing market!

Research The Target Market And Potential Customers

Researching the target market and potential customers is a crucial step in creating a successful business plan for a gaming lounge. By understanding your target market and their preferences, you can tailor your offerings to meet their needs and expectations. Here are some important factors to consider during your market research:

  • Demographics: Determine the age group, gender, and income level of your potential customers. This will help you customize your gaming lounge to appeal to your target market.
  • Gaming Preferences: Investigate which gaming platforms and genres are most popular among your target audience. This will help you curate a collection of games that is in demand.
  • Competition Analysis: Identify other gaming lounges or similar businesses in your area and analyze their strengths and weaknesses. This will give you insights into the market saturation and potential opportunities for differentiation.
  • Local Community: Understand the interests and preferences of your local community. Are there any gaming conventions, events, or clubs that are popular? Engaging with the local community can help build a loyal customer base.

Tips for conducting market research:

  • Use online surveys, focus groups, or interviews to gather information directly from your target audience.
  • Utilize social media platforms and online gaming forums to gather insights and engage with potential customers.
  • Attend industry conferences or trade shows to network with gaming enthusiasts and industry professionals.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in the gaming industry and adapt your strategy accordingly.

By thoroughly researching the target market and potential customers, you can develop a business plan that caters to their specific needs and preferences. This will give you a competitive edge and increase the chances of success for your gaming lounge.

Identify The Competition And Analyze Their Strengths And Weaknesses

Identifying and analyzing the competition is a crucial step in developing a business plan for a gaming lounge. By understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors, you can better position your gaming lounge to stand out in the market. Here are some key points to consider:

  • Research similar gaming lounges: Start by researching other gaming lounges in your area or in cities with similar demographics. Look at their offerings, pricing, target audience, and overall customer experience.
  • Assess strengths: Identify the strengths of your competitors, such as their unique amenities, gaming equipment, popular games, or value-added services. Determine what makes them successful and how you can differentiate your gaming lounge.
  • Analyze weaknesses: Take note of any weaknesses or areas where your competitors may be lacking. This could be outdated gaming equipment, poor customer service, limited food and drink options, or inadequate facilities. Use these weaknesses to identify opportunities for improvement in your own business.
  • Consider customer reviews and feedback: Visit online review platforms or social media pages of your competitors to understand what customers appreciate and dislike about their experiences. Look for patterns or recurring themes to gain insights into potential gaps in the market.
  • Visit competitor gaming lounges in person to experience their gameplay environment, customer service, and overall ambiance.
  • Engage with gaming communities or online forums to gather opinions about different gaming lounges and their strengths and weaknesses.

By thoroughly analyzing your competition, you can identify opportunities for differentiation, innovation, and improvement in your own gaming lounge. This will allow you to develop a unique value proposition that meets the needs and desires of your target market.

Conduct A Feasibility Study To Assess The Market Demand And Financial Viability

Conducting a feasibility study is a crucial step in determining the potential success of your gaming lounge. This study involves analyzing the market demand for gaming lounges in your target area and assessing the financial viability of your business idea. By gathering relevant data and conducting thorough research, you can make informed decisions and mitigate potential risks.

Market Demand:

Begin by researching the local area and identifying the target market for your gaming lounge. This includes understanding the demographics, interests, and preferences of potential customers. Gather data on the number of gamers in the area, their spending habits, and their willingness to pay for a gaming lounge experience.

  • Survey potential customers to gauge their interest and collect feedback on the services they would like to see in a gaming lounge.
  • Consider conducting focus groups or interviews to gather more in-depth insights.
  • Visit other gaming lounges in nearby areas to understand the demand and preferences of customers.

Financial Viability:

Assessing the financial viability of your gaming lounge involves analyzing the potential costs, revenues, and profitability of the business. Start by estimating the initial investment required to set up the gaming lounge, including costs for equipment, furniture, and renovations. Consider the ongoing expenses, such as rent, utilities, staff salaries, and maintenance.

Next, forecast the revenue potential based on the market demand and pricing structure. Estimate the average revenue per customer visit and project the number of daily or monthly customers you expect to attract. Calculate the expected monthly and annual revenue to determine if it aligns with your financial goals.

  • Research the pricing strategies of similar gaming lounges to establish competitive pricing that will attract customers while ensuring profitability.
  • Account for potential fluctuations in demand and seasonal variations in revenue.
  • Consider offering additional services, such as hosting gaming tournaments or selling merchandise, to increase revenue streams.

By conducting a feasibility study, you can assess the market demand for your gaming lounge and gauge its financial viability. This step is essential in making informed decisions and laying the foundation for a successful business.

Define The Unique Selling Proposition And Value Proposition Of The Gaming Lounge

When developing your business plan for a gaming lounge, it is vital to clearly define your unique selling proposition (USP) and value proposition. These elements will differentiate your gaming lounge from competitors and attract customers.

Your unique selling proposition is what sets you apart from other gaming lounges in the market. It highlights the unique features, services, or experiences that customers can only get at your establishment. Identifying your USP helps to create a strong brand identity and attracts customers who are specifically looking for what you offer.

  • Consider offering a wide variety of gaming consoles, including both old and new systems, to appeal to a broad customer base.
  • Create an inviting and comfortable atmosphere with amenities like high-quality gaming chairs, surround sound systems, and visually appealing decor.
  • Introduce exclusive events or tournaments to engage and excite gamers.

On the other hand, your value proposition focuses on the value customers will receive by choosing your gaming lounge over alternatives. It emphasizes the benefits, conveniences, or advantages that differentiate your offering in terms of quality, price, or service. A strong value proposition helps attract and retain customers by clearly demonstrating the value they will receive when they visit your gaming lounge.

  • Offer flexible pricing options such as discounted group rates or loyalty programs to provide added value for customers.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, including knowledgeable staff who can assist with game selections, troubleshooting, and recommendations.
  • Provide a clean and well-maintained gaming environment with the latest gaming technology and equipment.

Defining your unique selling proposition and value proposition is crucial for attracting customers and standing out in the competitive gaming lounge market. By identifying what makes your gaming lounge special and emphasizing the value customers will gain, you can effectively market your business and drive success.

Outline The Business Goals And Objectives

Once you have conducted thorough research and analysis of the gaming lounge market, it is crucial to outline your business goals and objectives. This step will help you set a clear direction for your venture and determine the milestones you aim to achieve.

These goals and objectives should be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound (SMART). Setting SMART goals will allow you to track your progress and make necessary adjustments along the way.

Tips for outlining your business goals and objectives:

Identify your ultimate vision:, set short-term milestones:, establish revenue and profitability goals:, focus on customer satisfaction:, align with industry trends:.

Remember that outlining your business goals and objectives is an ongoing process. Regularly review and update them based on market changes, customer feedback, and internal evaluations. By setting clear goals and objectives, you will keep your gaming lounge focused and driven towards success.

Determine The Ideal Location And Facilities Required For The Gaming Lounge

Choosing the right location and ensuring that your gaming lounge has the necessary facilities are crucial steps in setting up a successful business. Here are some important factors to consider:

  • Accessibility: Look for a location that is easily accessible to your target market. Consider areas with high foot traffic, such as shopping malls or entertainment districts, as this can attract more customers.
  • Space: Assess the amount of space you will need based on the number of gaming consoles and seating arrangements. It's important to provide enough space for your customers to move comfortably while gaming.
  • Ambience: Create a welcoming and comfortable environment by choosing a location that complements the gaming theme. Decorate the lounge with vibrant colors, gaming artwork, and comfortable seating to enhance the overall experience for your customers.
  • Facilities: Ensure that your gaming lounge is equipped with high-quality gaming consoles, controllers, monitors, and comfortable gaming chairs. Consider offering a variety of games to cater to different preferences and age groups.
  • Internet Speed: A reliable and high-speed internet connection is essential for an enjoyable gaming experience. Make sure your location has access to fast internet service to prevent lagging and disruptions.
  • Conduct a thorough market research to identify areas with high demand for gaming lounges, such as densely populated residential neighborhoods or areas with college campuses nearby.
  • Consider the proximity of your gaming lounge to public transportation, parking facilities, and other entertainment venues, as this can attract more customers who are looking for convenience.
  • Visit potential locations and assess the surrounding businesses. Look for synergies with complementary businesses, such as restaurants, movie theaters, or arcades, that can drive more foot traffic to your gaming lounge.

Develop A Comprehensive Marketing And Advertising Strategy

Once you have identified your target market and defined your unique selling proposition, it's time to develop a comprehensive marketing and advertising strategy for your gaming lounge. This strategy will help you attract customers, create brand awareness, and ultimately increase revenue.

To start, conduct market research to understand the preferences and behaviors of your target audience. This will help determine which marketing channels and tactics will be most effective in reaching them. Consider using a combination of online advertising, social media marketing, and traditional advertising methods to maximize your reach.

Create an engaging website that showcases the unique features and services of your gaming lounge. Include high-quality images, detailed descriptions, and clear pricing information. Optimize your website for search engines to improve your online visibility.

Utilize social media platforms to build a strong online presence . Regularly post engaging content related to gaming, special promotions, and events. Encourage customers to leave reviews and share their experiences on social media to generate word-of-mouth marketing.

Consider participating in gaming conventions and local events to promote your gaming lounge. Set up a booth and offer a demonstration of your gaming lounge's features. Distribute flyers, business cards, or promotional merchandise to generate interest and attract potential customers.

Tips for a successful marketing and advertising strategy:

  • Collaborate with popular gaming influencers to promote your gaming lounge on their platforms.
  • Offer special promotions or discounts for first-time visitors to encourage them to try your gaming lounge.
  • Host gaming tournaments or events to attract competitive gamers and create a buzz around your establishment.
  • Partner with local businesses, such as restaurants or movie theaters, to create joint promotions or cross-promote each other's services.
  • Monitor and analyze the results of your marketing efforts to make data-driven decisions and optimize your strategy.

Remember, a comprehensive marketing and advertising strategy is crucial for the success of your gaming lounge. It will help you reach your target market, differentiate yourself from competitors, and ultimately drive more customers through your doors.

Create A Detailed Financial Plan And Projected Budget

Creating a detailed financial plan and projected budget is crucial in ensuring the success and sustainability of your gaming lounge. It allows you to understand the financial aspects of your business, make informed decisions, and demonstrate to potential investors or lenders that your venture is viable.

When developing your financial plan and projected budget, consider the following:

  • Start-up costs: Calculate the initial investment required to set up your gaming lounge, including expenses such as equipment, furniture, renovation, licenses, permits, and legal fees.
  • Operational expenses: Determine the monthly costs to run your gaming lounge, such as rent, utilities, insurance, maintenance, and staff wages. It is essential to factor in the cost of replenishing gaming consoles, game licenses, and other consumables.
  • Revenue sources: Identify your primary revenue streams, such as pay-per-use fees, package deals, food and beverage sales, merchandising, and any additional services you plan to offer. Estimate the expected income from each source based on market research and industry benchmarks.
  • Market analysis: Analyze the potential demand for your gaming lounge and estimate the number of customers you expect to attract. Consider the average spending per customer and the frequency of their visits to project your monthly and annual revenue.
  • Sales and marketing strategy: Outline your sales and marketing initiatives to generate a steady inflow of customers. Allocate a reasonable budget for promotional activities such as online advertising, social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, and community events.
  • Contingency fund: Set aside a contingency fund to cover unexpected expenses or periods of low revenue. It is wise to allocate a certain percentage of your projected income for contingencies.
  • Consult with a financial advisor or accountant to ensure the accuracy and completeness of your financial plan.
  • Regularly review and adjust your budget as your gaming lounge grows and market conditions change.
  • Consider creating different scenarios in your financial projections, such as best-case, worst-case, and most likely, to assess the potential impact of different situations on your financial stability.
  • Keep track of your actual financial performance and compare it with your projected budget to identify any discrepancies and make necessary adjustments.

By creating a detailed financial plan and projected budget, you gain a clearer understanding of the financial aspects of your gaming lounge. It enables you to make informed decisions, track your performance, and ensure the long-term success of your business.

Formulate A Management Structure And Staffing Plan

Formulating a management structure and staffing plan is crucial for the success of your gaming lounge. Having the right team in place will ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

To begin, outline the key roles and responsibilities within your management structure. This may include positions such as a general manager, operations manager, marketing manager, and customer service manager. Each position should have clear job descriptions and reporting lines.

Next, identify the required qualifications and skills for each role. While some positions may require specific expertise in gaming or hospitality, others may necessitate strong leadership, marketing, or financial management skills. Consider your business objectives and find individuals who can contribute effectively to achieving them.

Recruiting and hiring the right staff is crucial to creating a positive and welcoming environment. Clearly define the criteria for each position and conduct thorough interviews to assess candidates' suitability. Look for individuals who are not only passionate about gaming but also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Tips for Formulating a Management Structure and Staffing Plan:

  • Consider offering ongoing training opportunities for your staff to enhance their skills and stay updated with the latest trends in gaming.
  • Encourage an open and supportive work culture to foster teamwork and a positive atmosphere.
  • Implement a regular performance evaluation process to track the progress of your staff and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop clear communication channels and protocols to ensure efficient coordination between different teams.

Once your team is in place, create a comprehensive staffing plan that includes employee schedules, task assignments, and backup plans. This will help you allocate staff resources effectively and ensure that all necessary tasks are covered at any given time.

In conclusion, the success of your gaming lounge relies heavily on the expertise and dedication of your management team and staff. By formulating a solid management structure and staffing plan, you can create a thriving environment that attracts customers and provides exceptional gaming experiences.

In conclusion, writing a business plan for a gaming lounge requires thorough research and careful planning. By following the nine steps outlined in this checklist, you can ensure that your gaming lounge is well-positioned to succeed in the competitive market. Understanding your target market, assessing the competition, and developing a strong marketing strategy will be key to attracting customers and generating revenue. Additionally, creating a comprehensive financial plan and determining the ideal location and facilities will help you establish a profitable and enjoyable gaming lounge experience for your customers. Lastly, forming a solid management structure and staffing plan will ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. By considering all these factors, you can set your gaming lounge on the path to success.

How to Write a VR Lounge Business Plan [Sample template]

Do you want to start a VR lounge and need to write a plan? If YES, here is a detailed sample VR lounge business plan template & FREE feasibility report. Virtual Reality (VR) lounges are built specifically for Location-Based Entertainment (LBE). They are multiplayer, intuitive and engaging attractions that are hard to get at home, but more importantly, designed to drive social experience with friends, family and co-workers which makes it is a good business to start in the united states.

If you are considering starting a Virtual Reality (VR) lounge business, the good news is that you can’t get it wrong because of the number of people who are looking towards escaping the boredom of normal life.

A Sample VR Lounge Business Plan Template

1. industry overview.

Virtual Reality (VR) lounges are part of the Arcade, Food & entertainment industry and players in this industry include businesses that primarily operate video game arcades and game-focused family entertainment centers, which typically sell food and beverages.

Industry operators rent or purchase card- or coin-operated arcade games that customers play for a fee. Establishments that primarily focus on gambling games, billiards, miniature golf and other larger-scale or outdoor amusements are not included in this industry.

According to a report published by IBISWorld, the Arcade, Food and Entertainment industry’s evolution has continued over the five years to 2019. Rapid technological change and shifting preferences have triggered a structural shift within the industry since its heyday in the 1980s.

As the home console rose in prominence, coin-operated games fell in popularity. Substitute products, including game consoles, offer convenience and long-term cost savings, while online and mobile games can largely be played at a nominal cost or for a free.

An improving economic outlook has spurred increased consumer spending, which has helped encourage consumers to spend more liberally on out-of-home entertainment without operators significantly lowering prices to buoy sales volumes.

The report further shows that over the five years to 2024, these trends are expected to continue. Game rooms are no longer the primary market for video game consumption, so developers dedicate far less funding to the creation of arcade games. This lack of resources stifles innovation, diminishing the ability of industry operators to draw in patrons with state-of-the-art offerings.

Statistics has it that in the United States of America alone, there are about 8,358 licensed and registered arcade, food and entertainment complexes responsible for employing about 56,513 employees and the industry rakes in a whooping sum of $3 billion annually with an annual growth rate projected at 2.6 percent between 2015 and 2022.

Although there are major players with significant market shares in this industry, but Dave & Buster’s Entertainment Inc. is the company with the lion share of the industry.

Lastly, the need for you to equip your virtual reality VR lounge can’t possibly be overemphasized and you should be aware that it is quite expensive equipping a virtual reality VR lounge. A high-end headset like HTC’s Vive or the Oculus Rift will run you $599 and $799, respectively. At the present costs, a VR fan will have to shell out at least $1,600 for a high-end virtual reality experience.

6. SWOT Analysis

Woops Zone® Virtual Reality Lounge, LLC is in business to provide virtual reality arcade facility for gamers in Santa Fe – New Mexico and at the same time to make profits. We are aware that there are competitions in the industry which is why we took out time to conduct an effective SWOT Analysis before investing our hard – earned money into the business.

We know that if we get things right before starting our virtual reality arcade lounge, we will not have to struggle before attract clients and building our customer base to a level where we can easily breakeven in record time. We hired the services of a HR and Business consultant with bias in business structuring to help us conduct SWOT analysis for our organization and he did a pretty good job for us.

Here is a of the result we got from the SWOT analysis that was conducted on behalf of Woops Zone® Virtual Reality Lounge, LLC;

One of the obvious strengths that will definitely stand as a plus for Woops Zone® Virtual Reality Lounge, LLC is the fact that our facility is centrally located in a densely populated area in Santa Fe – New Mexico; our location is in fact one of our major strengths.

We equally have a team of highly qualified professionals who will work with our clients and lastly our wide range of VR games are amongst the best that anybody living in Santa Fe – New Mexico can get; they are highly entertaining, easy to use and highly reliable.

We critically looked into our Business model and we were able to identify two major weakness. One is the fact that we are a new business and the second is the fact that we may not have the financial resources required to match up with existing virtual reality arcade lounges when it comes to employing experts in the industry and generating the needed hype that can drive traffic towards our lounge.

  • Opportunities:

We are centrally located in one of the busiest and densely populated areas in Santa Fe – New Mexico and we are open to all the available opportunities the city has to offer. We will be open 24 hours in a day during weekends (Fridays to Sundays) and from 6:00 am to 12 midnight from Mondays to Thursdays giving us the advantage to leverage on any available opportunity.

Recent studies show that operators will continue to suffer under the weight of competition from substitute forms of entertainment like home video game consoles, the internet, online gaming and MPX players. Manufacturers will need to re-invent specific games that can only be enjoyed in arcades in order to generate positive revenue.

Still, the rising cost of machines, manufacturing decline in product innovation will limit the number of operators that are able to compete hence posing a threat to our business, and lastly, the emergence of new competitors within the same location where our virtual reality arcade lounge is located.

7. MARKET ANALYSIS

  • Market Trends

If you are conversant with the trend in this industry, you will notice that competition from home video game systems continues to impede the industry’s performance, with the popularity of traditional arcades dwindling. Arcades have attempted to maintain their profits by introducing food and beverage sales to their services, but this strategy has not proved to be effective overall.

Since the early 1990s, growth in home video game consoles has been a major factor in the industry’s decline, and online gaming has followed, offering gamers the opportunity to compete with other individuals without leaving their homes. Furthermore, with discretionary spending falling, families are opting to save money by skipping trips to arcade, food and entertainment complexes.

As a result of these negative trends, operators are attempting to reclaim some of their previous popularity by investing into restaurants and improving their existing premises. Still, the number of establishments is expected to decline over the next five years, with many businesses expected to close in the midst of reduced consumer spending and poor credit conditions.

Employment is expected to decline as well, though an increase in the number of food service options within arcade complexes has prevented a sharper drop. Wages are also estimated to fall in the coming year. As virtual reality arcade lounges grow, it becomes necessary for them to develop new service offerings or install new facilities that will help them attract more people.

Little wonder some virtual reality arcade lounges now have fresh juice and smoothie bars, and retail food and drinks within their facility to encourage people to relax and socialize. In order words, it is very important for VR lounges to continue to improvise if they want to grow their business.

8. Our Target Market

Aside from teenagers and children, the target market for virtual reality arcade lounges cuts across people of different walks of life. The fact that people visit virtual reality lounges for various reasons makes marketing the business interesting. These are the category of people that we intend marketing our VR center to;

  • High school students
  • Applicants/School Leavers
  • Sports Men and Women
  • College Students
  • Corporate organizations looking towards hosting team building office parties, corporate outing or offsite event
  • Event planning organizations looking towards hosting birthday parties and private events

Our Competitive Advantage

The Arcade, Food and Entertainment Complexes industry is indeed a prolific and highly competitive industry. Nightlife City Guide

Moscow nightlife beautiful girls

Moscow: nightlife and clubs

Moscow nightlife: despite the freezing weather, the Russian capital gets hot as the sun goes down. Between discos, luxury, exaggerated parties and beautiful Russian girls, the Moscow nightlife offers everything you need for memorable nights.

Moscow nightlife

The city of Moscow is definitely one of the most interesting European cities: the stories about underground lines and secret bunkers, the architecture of its buildings, from the Kremlin to St. Basil's Cathedral, up to the Soviet style of the Seven Sisters and modern skyscrapers, make the Russian capital is a unique and fascinating city.

Moscow nightlife by night

One of the many things that Moscow is famous for is its wild nightlife . Moscow never sleeps. If there is anything true about Russians, it is that they love to party! Despite its freezing weather, Moscow turns out to be a hot city with endless fun, hip nightclubs, extreme luxury, beautiful Russian girls and lots of booze when night falls!

Moscow Russian girls nightlife

In fact, in recent years, the Russian capital has definitively abandoned the gray period of communism and its inhabitants have given vent to their desire for fun. As you might expect in a city of over 12 million people, Moscow has an amazing array of nightlife options and a huge choice for all tastes, whether you are a jazz fan, hardcore clubbers or just plain old alcoholics. The nightlife in Moscow winds through a multitude of alternative and transgressive nightclubs where the watchword is to meet new people and spend a night of unbridled and uninhibited fun . In addition to the numerous discos, in the Russian capital there are also 20 casinos open until dawn. For those who want a break of intriguing relaxation, in the city of Moscow there are also numerous massage salons .

Moscow nightlife

Most of Moscow's nightclubs contain a restaurant, a bar area and a nightclub (the larger ones also have bowling alleys, billiards and a casino!). Perhaps because Moscow is such a large metropolis with very cold temperatures and taxis are so expensive that the owners of the bars and clubs want to offer their customers an all in one place for night entertainment.

So, in other words, Moscow is not the best city in the world for bar-crawling, especially bearing in mind that these multipurpose venues often charge entrance, but rather it is better to carefully choose the club where to spend the night.

For a quieter and more sober evening, head for an evening stroll along the Via Arbat or the Red Square to be fascinated by the lights of the city and the grandeur of the buildings, and admire the shops and street artists. An alternative to experience Moscow's nightlife is to spend an evening of lyric, ballet or opera. The Russian capital is home to around sixty theaters, the most famous of which is the world-renowned Bolshoi Theater (Theater Square, 1, Moscow).

Moscow nightlife Bolshoi Theater

Moscow nightlife districts

Moscow's nightlife is not concentrated in a single district but is scattered throughout the city. However, there are areas with a greater concentration of bars and nightclubs .

The Krasnij Oktjabr (Russian for "Red October") complex, a red brick building located on the island in the center of the Moscow River that once housed a chocolate factory, is dotted with numerous trendy nightclubs and offers spectacular views of the river and the symbolic places of the Russian capital. This is where the most glamorous parties in Moscow take place, there are numerous bars, restaurants and art galleries.

Nightlife Moscow Red October Krasnij Oktjabr

Other neighborhoods with good nightlife are the old manufactory area near the Russian government building which houses some bars, the area around the Trubnaya metro and around Kuznetsky Most , while the Kurskaya groups the clubs with electronic music. We can also mention the area of the Patriarch's ponds, an area that is teeming with quiet bars.

Clubs and discos in Moscow

fb_icon_tiny

The crowd is very mixed. Students, young professionals, techno lovers, tourists all gather at Propaganda. Everyone comes to enjoy the music and have fun. It is one of the few clubs where the dancefloor dominates and there are hardly any tables, apart from a few that overlook the entire space. Propaganda is a restaurant until midnight. You can come earlier for dinner and stay for dancing. After midnight, the staff clears the tables from the dance floor and the whole place turns into a club. The place is different from the usual Moscow restaurant / club hybrids, however, because the atmosphere changes completely from "relaxed restaurant" to "underground electro club". Not to be missed.

Moscow Nightlife Propaganda

There are more areas with different music. In the first area, expect a mix of traditional music and Russian pop songs. In the second, slightly larger area, there is live Russian pop music until 2am. After that it is mostly some kind of electronic music. The club is frequented by beautiful Russian girls around 18-25 years old, stunning students or models, and of course there is a good deal of young Russians, middle-aged men and foreign tourists trying their luck! Unlike many other nightclubs, the Icon is a pure nightclub and not a club turned into a restaurant. In any case, if you like to party in a big club and want to savor the typical Moscow nightlife , this is the perfect solution.

Moscow Icon Club nightlife

The crowd is the same as in other high-end Moscow clubs. Men are rarely under the age of 35 and are committed to giving the impression that money is not an issue. The women are amazing even by Moscow nightlife - if you want to meet Moscow's super models, this is the place! Ideal if you want to toast with the Moscow elite.

Moscow Siberia nightlife

The club is located on two floors. The lower floor is mainly frequented by people hanging out at the bar and is good for conversation. The narrow stairs that perfectly fit the student atmosphere of the club take you to the main floor where the real party takes place, complete with a bedlam and girls dancing on the bar counter. In the summer months there is also an outdoor terrace. The place is always crowded and bouncers unnecessarily queue people - having a table or someone inside can be the key to skipping the queue. Otherwise, you might end up waiting half an hour or more. Come early or come back late if you want to avoid the crowds.

Moscow nightlife Rolling Stone Bar

The crowd that frequents this club is quite mixed. People are less trendy and more underground. The place is suitable for afterhours, so most people arrive from 3am onwards.

Moscow Gazgolder nightlife

Immediately upon entering, you will have the feeling that you have come to the local high school graduation prom instead of a real Moscow nightclub. There is no real interior design, but basically just a large hall with a stage and a bar. The crowd is almost entirely made up of teenagers and young people. Not many of the teens speak English, but it probably doesn't matter after all the alcohol. The music ranges from Russian pop and hip-hop to the most famous international hits. Perfect if you want to party and drink alcohol in one of the cheapest clubs in Moscow .

Moscow Tipsy nightlife

Here too, it's full of beautiful girls and it's also a great place to hit them off, as those who come here are notoriously more approachable. The advice is to be very firm with the girls who approach and to make your intentions clear. If you want to be 100% sure to get in, come at 2am when the club is still uncrowded.

Moscow nightlife Miks Afterparty

Oblaka plays a mix of Russian and international pop music. Occasionally, as in many other clubs, there are performances by Russian pop singers. As is often the case in these types of clubs, the music and DJ are not the best but the guests don't seem to care.

Moscow Oblaka nightlife

Moscow's bars and pubs

The bar looks similar but still distinctly different than regular Moscow posh clubs. Most of the people who frequent this place are over 25, and you can find everything from young professionals to creative types to self-proclaimed models. Great if you want to see the "real Muscovites" celebrate without the overblown flashes of wealth. The proposed music is a strange mix of old and new commercial songs and Russian pop.

Moscow nightlife Bar Klava

Downstairs is a large open space that opens its doors wide in the summer. The interior is rustic, yet elegant, with wooden furnishings and plenty of seating. The interior combined with Ugolek's popularity creates a crowded yet intimate atmosphere, especially on weekends. People come to chat, drink and eat. The upstairs bar has a more welcoming atmosphere. It is smaller, with soft lighting and armchairs to be able to relax. On weekends there is a DJ who mixes electronic music and transforms the bar into a relaxed place, ideal for the pre-party.

Moscow City is a multifunctional complex in the west of Moscow, which has come to represent the booming business of Russia’s capital. Its skyscrapers enrich Moscow’s skyline, contrasting the medieval cupolas and Stalinist high-rises. Visitors to Moscow City can enjoy entertainment high in the sky, as the complex is home not just to offices, but to restaurants, cinemas, viewing platforms, and museums.

History of Moscow City

Moscow City was first conceived in 1991 by honoured Soviet architect Boris Tkhor, who proposed to construct a business center in Moscow. It would be complete with gleaming skyscrapers rivalling those of New York and London, to reflect the new life and growing ambitions of post-Soviet Russia.

The chosen site was a stone quarry and disused industrial zone in western Moscow, in between the Third Ring Road and Moskva River. Initially, the territory was divided into 20 sections arranged in a horseshoe shape around a central zone. The skyscrapers would increase in height as they spiralled around the central section, with shorter structures built on the waterfront to give the taller buildings behind a view of the river.

Architect Gennady Sirota, who contributed to iconic projects such as the Olympic Sports Complex on Prospekt Mira, was selected as the chief architect, and many other world-famous architects were attracted to Moscow to realise their visions in Moscow City.

What can you see and do at Moscow City?

Where Moscow’s cityscape was once dominated by Stalin’s Seven Sisters skyscrapers , this is no more. Moscow City is home to eight of Russia’s ten tallest buildings, six of which exceed 300 metres in height. More buildings are still under construction there today, including the One Tower (which will be Europe’s second-tallest building). Once completed, Moscow City will comprise more than 20 innovative structures.

Each of Moscow City’s skyscrapers was designed by its own architect, lending the cluster of skyscrapers a unique appearance. Aside from being a site of architectural wonder, Moscow City is a place for leisure and entertainment with over 100 cafes and restaurants, exhibition spaces, cinemas, viewing platforms, and more.

Federation Tower

  • East Tower: 374m, 97 floors; West Tower: 243m, 63 floors
  • Completed in 2017
  • Architects: Sergey Tchoban and Peter Schweger

The East Federation Tower is the tallest building in Moscow, and the second-tallest building in Europe after the Lakhta Centre in St Petersburg. Visitors can enjoy a luxurious meal of seafood, truffles or steak at restaurant ‘Sixty’ on the 62nd floor of the West Tower, or visit Europe’s highest observation deck, ‘Panorama 360’, on the 89th floor of the East Tower.

Did you know? The ice cream and chocolate shop on the 360 observation deck are the highest in the world!

  • South Tower: 354m, 85 floors; North Tower: 254m, 49 floors
  • Completed in 2015
  • Architect: Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP

The South OKO Tower is the third-tallest building in Russia and Europe. Here, you can visit ‘Ruski’ to dine on hearty Russian cuisine cooked on a real Russian stove, and have a drink in the ice bar. Alternatively, visit restaurant, nightclub and performance space ‘Birds’; the restaurant is the highest in Europe, situated on the 86th floor roof terrace alongside an observation deck. The OKO Towers are also home to karaoke club ‘City Voice’.

Did you know? Underneath OKO Towers is the largest underground parking in Europe, with 16 levels and 3,400 parking spaces.

Mercury Tower

  • 339m tall, 75 floors
  • Architects : Mikhail Posokhin, Frank Williams, Gennady Sirota

Another multifunctional skyscraper, which was designed as the first truly ‘green’ building in Moscow. The Mercury Tower has a distinct geometric shape and copper-coloured glazing, and was the tallest building in Europe upon completion. Visit ‘More i myaso’ (Sea and meat) on the first floor of the tower to enjoy European and Mediterranean cuisine whilst surrounded by greenery. On the 2nd and 40th floors a modern art gallery, the ‘ILONA-K artspace’, has just opened.

City of Capitals

  • Moscow Tower: 302m, 76 floors; St Petersburg Tower: 257m, 65 floors
  • Completed in 2009
  • Architect: Bureau NBBJ

The unique geometric design of the City of Capitals towers resembles stacks of rotating blocks, and is rooted in Constructivism of the early Soviet period (many Soviet Constructivist buildings can be found in Moscow). Visitors to the Moscow Tower can enjoy a range of cuisines – traditional Italian dishes on the summer terrace of ‘Tutto Bene’, Panasian cuisine in the tropical luxury of the ‘Bamboo Bar’ on the 1st floor’, and poke or smoothie bowls at ‘Soul in the Bowl’ cafe on the 80th floor.

Tower on the Embankment

  • Tower A: 84m; Tower B:127m; Tower C: 268m, 61 floors
  • Completed in 2007
  • Architects: Vehbi Inan and Olcay Erturk

After completion, the Tower on the Embankment was the tallest building in Europe, and is now the 13th tallest. It houses the headquarters of several large Russian and international  companies, including IBM and KPMG. There are two cafes located on the 1st floor of Tower C – self-service café ‘Obed Bufet’ (Lunch Buffet) and Bakery Chain ‘Khleb Nasushchny’ (Daily Bread).

Evolution Tower

  • 255m tall, 54 floors
  • Architects: Philip Nikandrov and RMJM Scotland Ltd

Evolution is Moscow City’s most recognisable tower, and the 11th tallest building in Russia. Its façade is a true architectural marvel, comprising continuous strips of curved glazing spiralling high into  the sky. According to the architect, Philip Nikandrov, the spiral shape of the tower honours centuries of architectural design in Russia, from the onion domes of St Basil's Cathedral to Vladimir Shukhov’s Tatlin Tower, a masterpiece of Constructivist design. Outside the Evolution tower is a landscaped terrace and pedestrian zone descending to the Presnenskaya Embankment, which was also designed by Nikandrov.

Did you know? Moscow’s largest wedding palace was supposed to be built on the site of the Evolution tower, though the project was abandoned.

  • 239m tall, 60 floors
  • Completed in 2011

Imperia’s interesting design has a curved roof and an arched glass façade. Inside the tower are various cafes including ‘City Friends’ for all-day breakfasts and light lunches, ‘Mama in the City’ for simple meals of Russian cuisine, and ‘abc kitchen’ for European and Indian-inspired dishes. Alternatively, visit ‘High Bar’ on the 56th floor for cocktails with a view. In Imperia you’ll also find the Museum of High-Rise Construction in Moscow (suitably located on the 56th floor), and the Camera Immersive Theatre.

Did you know? Inside Vystavochnaya metro station is the Metro Museum , dedicated to the history of the beautiful Moscow Metro!

  • 130m tall, 26 floors
  • Completed in 2001
  • Architect: Boris Tkhor

Tower 2000 was Moscow City’s first tower. It stands on the opposite bank of the Moskva River, and houses a viewing platform from which visitors can admire an unparalleled panorama of Moscow City. The Bagration Bridge reaches across the river from the tower to Moscow City, and underneath are piers from where you can take boat trips.

Afimall is Moscow’s largest entertainment and shopping complex, home to 450 shops, cafes and restaurants, a cinema, and a virtual-reality game park. The shopping centre is located in the central section of Moscow City, and a cinema and concert hall are currently under construction there.

What’s nearby?

Sechenov Botanical Gardens: The botanical gardens of the First Moscow State Medical University was created for students’ training and research in 1946. Today it is open for free visits, and is home to a large arboretum.

Moscow-City – The Moscow International Business Center

The Moscow Intenational Business Center

Moscow-City is an iconic location for life and work in Russia’s capital. Enormous skyscrapers, business centers, the best restaurants and retail spaces – all this is concentrated in one place. The ultramodern Moscow-City towers are truly striking in their outward appearance, and the layout of the apartments inside and the fantastic views that can be seen from the higher floors are nothing short of impressive.

This skyscraper compound, often referred to as Moskva-City, is the Russian take on Manhattan, where businessmen strike multi-million dollar deals daily while ordinary life goes on next door. Its state of the art spaces offer the ultimate convenience. The infrastructure of this business district is so well-developed that anyone can find something interesting for themselves here: from residential apartments to boutiques, clubs, exhibitions and more.

When the foundations for the Moscow-City skyscrapers were laid, a special kind of concrete was used, the properties of which are amplified by many times compared to standard concrete. Even in the event of a plane crashing into one of the buildings, the structural integrity of the towers will be preserved.

The architects of the Moscow-City Business Center have created a unique locality that has integrated into itself the hub of the capital’s business life and a whole ensemble of historical monuments. Anyone can admire the beauty of these skyscrapers from within or without the compound. There are also a number of apartments for sale or rent available in the MIBC itself. But first, let’s have a look at some more interesting facts about the financial core of Russia’s capital.

How It All Began

The history of Moscow-City goes all the way back to 1992. The government of Moscow at the time wanted to bring into existence its own skyscrapers like the ones in London or New York. And the idea caught on. In 1992 the project for the construction of the huge “Moscow-City” MIBC compound was enthusiastically approved, kick-starting the painstaking preparatory works. The original intention was that the skyscrapers would only house office space. However, as time went on, the towers began to welcome in ordinary residents who wanted to live on the territory of this business and finance hub.

Moscow-City is undoubtedly a city within a city. Its grandeur is mind-boggling. It is perfect in every way: from location to infrastructure. And today, anyone can get a feel of the atmosphere of the “capital city” of Russia’s business world – many of the apartments in Moscow-City are available for rent. Any citizen of Russia and even nationals of other countries can make use of these offers.

What It’s Like in 2021

Today Moscow-City is not just a magnificent and fascinating sight, but also a real hub for the work, life and leisure of thousands. Its infrastructure is organized in such a way that there is no need to leave the territory of the “city within a city” at all. This business district contains everything one may need for work and recreation. And if one does decide to venture out into the larger metropolis, the MIBC’s three subway stations make this remarkably simple to do.

Moscow-City stands on the Presnenskaya Embankment . Each of the buildings in the district has a name, which simplifies its identification. Some of the buildings form complexes that are united under one name, such as the Neva Towers and the Naberezhnaya Tower complex of two skyscrapers and one high rise. There are a total of 16 towers in the MIBC, of which the most popular are:

  • Moscow-City Central Core;
  • Tower 2000;
  • Evolution Tower;
  • Imperia Tower;
  • City of Capitals (Moscow Tower and St. Petersburg Tower);
  • Steel Peak Tower;
  • Federation Tower;
  • Mercury City Tower;
  • OKO Tower Complex.

Moscow-City Central Core

This is the most complex building within the MIBC compound. Its total floor area is a whopping 1 476 378 sqft (450 000 m²). It consists of two massive parts, each of which boasts a truly impressive infrastructure. The underground part includes 3 Moscow Metro stations, a parking lot for automobiles and a shopping mall. The aboveground part houses a concert hall and a hotel.

Tower 2000 is a skyscraper having 34 stories. Its total floor area is 200 318 sqft (61 057 m²), most of which is office space. The key feature of this skyscraper is its direct connection to the Bagration Bridge, which has its own shopping arcade. The tower has everything one may need while working here, including a large parking lot and several restaurants.

Evolution Tower

This elegant structure is 836 feet (255 m) high – that’s a whole 54 stories! The total floor area here is 554 462 sqft (169 000 m²). The Evolution Tower’s key feature is that it has its own Wedding Hall. This skyscraper houses large office spaces, a parking lot and several restaurants.

Imperia Tower

MIBC’s Imperia Tower is the undeniable focal point of the MIBC’s business life. Its height is 784 feet (239 m), which means one can hold conferences and resolve key business matters on the 59 th floor! And that really is amazing! The tower has everything: offices, hotels, restaurants and parking lots. But if you want a truly unforgettable experience, visit the viewing platform! It is situated on the 58 th floor and a simply astounding view of Moscow can be seen from it.

Moscow Tower and St. Petersburg Tower

The Moscow and St. Petersburg Towers are the chief representatives of the MIBC. The Moscow Tower has 76 stories and is 990 feet (302 m) high, while the St. Petersburg Tower has 65 stories and stands 843 feet (257 m) tall. Both towers offer fantastic views of the capital city.

Most of the floors of these two skyscrapers are taken up by luxurious sky apartments. There are also several recreational and entertainment centers, office spaces, restaurants, etc.

Steel Peak Tower

Also known as the Eurasia Tower of Moscow-City, this supertall skyscraper has a total of 680 912 sqft (207 542 m²) of floor space. Most of this is taken up by offices, and the rest – by residential quarters (around 65 616 sqft or 20 000 m²). The tower also houses a number of the greatest restaurants, studios and shopping centers.

Federation Tower

The Federation Tower is a complex of two skyscrapers, known as Tower East and Tower West. Tower East is the second highest building in Europe (the first is a skyscraper recently erected in the city of St. Petersburg). Its height is a colossal 1 223 feet (373 m) and that makes 95 stories! Tower West, on the other hand, is noticeably shorter at 794 feet (242 m).

The Federation Tower is a multifunctional complex.

Mercury City Tower

The Mercury City Tower skyscraper is widely known as one of the tallest buildings in Europe. Its height is 1 112 feet (339 m) and it has 75 stories. It is multifunctional by concept, holding within its walls shopping centers, offices and all kinds of other spaces. It is also possible to rent apartments here.

OKO Tower Complex

The OKO Tower Complex consists of two towers – the North Tower (49 stories and 803 ft or 245 m in height) and the South Tower (85 stories and 1 155 ft or 352 m in height).

Each of the MIBC’s tower complexes has its own recreational and entertainment areas, restaurants and parking lots. The top floors of most of these buildings contain luxurious fully-furnished apartments. At night, the towers shine with bright lights, while inside them the panoramic windows reveal astounding views of Moscow. This breathtaking view of the capital of Russia is why visiting Moscow-City is a must!

What Not to Miss

There are many interesting landmarks within the Moscow-City compound, but three of them are truly deserving of special attention:

  • The Afimall City Shopping Center;
  • The Bagration Bridge with two galleries and a shopping arcade;
  • The Expocentre Fairgrounds.

Afimall City Shopping Center

The Afimall City Shopping and Entertainment Center is located in Moscow-City’s Central Core. It is divided into 4 zones, each with its own theme – one for every season of the year. The shopping center houses the biggest indoor fountain found worldwide. The height of this watery wonder is 118 feet or 36 meters.

The shopping and entertainment center contains everything one might expect from one of the largest centers of its kind:

  • Retail brand stores;
  • Exhibitions;
  • Game rooms;
  • and Restaurants.

The main recreational space is roofed with a giant transparent dome, which is an impressive sight to behold.

Bagration Bridge

Bagration Bridge with its upper and lower galleries has a shopping center all of its own and was the first structure to be built as part of the Moscow-City business district. Its lower gallery is a shopping arcade and its upper gallery is an open-air viewing platform with a spectacular view of the MIBC and the Moskva River. The hall of the bridge houses the 23 foot tall sculpture called “Tree of Life”. Having gone through the bridge via either one of its two galleries, a pedestrian would find themselves standing right on the Kutuzovsky Prospekt.

Expocentre Fairgrounds

The Expocentre Fairgrounds exhibition venue is located at the very heart of the capital. The first exhibition held at the Expocentre happened all the way back in 1959, much earlier than the MIBC was erected. Today it is the venue of many interesting events.

Exhibitions with very diverse themes are regularly held at this complex. An up-to-date schedule can be found on the official webpage of the Expocentre. The events can be free or fixed-price entry, depending on their type.

Renting and Buying Real Estate in Moscow-City

Moscow-City is not only a work and business hub, but also a residential neighborhood. Any citizen of Russia can rent or buy apartments or elite sky lounges here. The variety of residential real estate available inside the skyscrapers is impressive, including options for any pocket. The following buildings in the MIBC contain residential blocks:

This skyscraper has a mirror glass façade which reflects the passing clouds. Just imagine how beautiful that looks! Anyone can buy an apartment in the Federation Tower. Such properties are not only a good investment, but also a mark of prestige. The average price of residential real estate here is 45 million rubles for an apartment with a total floor area of 334 sqft (102 m²). The average price of a square meter (3.28 square feet) is in the range of 650 to 700 thousand rubles. There are two- and three-room apartments available in the Federation Tower, each with its own loggia. As for rent, the minimum price of one month’s stay in a three-room apartment in this skyscraper is 300 000 rubles per month.

The Mercury City Tower skyscraper welcomes citizens from all parts of Russia. This building is no less tall than the world-famous Dubai skyscrapers. Living in its apartments is a delight. The minimum cost of an apartment in the Mercury City Tower is 75 million rubles. The average price of a square meter (3.28 square feet) is 800 thousand rubles. And for those looking for a lower price point, some of the properties are also available for rent – in this case you will pay a minimum of 250 thousand rubles per month.

The Imperia Tower is a key cluster of interesting offers. The best options for buying and renting apartments within the MIBC can all be found in this skyscraper. The lowest price of a residential apartment here is 40 million rubles. A square meter (3.28 square feet) in a luxurious apartment in the Imperia Tower currently costs 600 thousand rubles, while the price range of the listings available for rent in this skyscraper is from 350 thousand all the way up to 1 million rubles per month.

This complex, standing on a faceted or “crystal” base, is an architectural engineering project boasting spectacular design. Behind its impressive façades is an abundance of penthouses and apartments having floor areas in the range of 262 sqft (80 m²) to 984 sqft (300 m²). The minimum price of an apartment in the OKO Tower Complex is 40 million rubles (the price of a square meter (3.28 square feet) is 500 thousand rubles). You can rent an apartment here starting from 400 thousand rubles per month.

City of Capitals

The City of Capitals is an exemplary architectural complex. Its sum appearance gives the impression of a huge city. Inside its walls are spacious apartments available for purchase and rent. This complex is considered to be especially prestigious. The prices of apartments here start from 50 million rubles, while the minimum cost of renting is 400 thousand rubles per month.

Please note! The price of real estate available for purchase or rent depends on: the tower, the floor, the total floor area, the furnishings and/or interior design, and other factors.

The key advantages of buying/purchasing real estate in Moscow-City are:

  • Favorable location;
  • Convenient transportation links;
  • Well-developed infrastructure;
  • High safety level;
  • Efficient architecture;
  • Panoramic windows.

Buying real estate in Moscow-City is very much a rational decision, most appealing to those who value the ultimate level of comfort. The residential apartments here boast impressive interior design solutions executed in the contemporary style.

The Comprehensive Guide to Moscow Nightlife

Moscow’s nightlife scene is thriving, and arguably one of the best the world has to offer – top-notch Russian women, coupled with a never-ending list of venues, Moscow has a little bit of something for everyone’s taste. Moscow nightlife is not for the faint of heart – and if you’re coming, you better be ready to go Friday and Saturday night into the early morning.

This comprehensive guide to Moscow nightlife will run you through the nuts and bolts of all you need to know about Moscow’s nightclubs and give you a solid blueprint to operate with during your time in Moscow.

What you need to know before hitting Moscow nightclubs

Prices in moscow nightlife.

Before you head out and start gaming all the sexy Moscow girls , we have to talk money first. Bring plenty because in Moscow you can never bring a big enough bankroll. Remember, you’re the man so making a fuzz of not paying a drink here or there will not go down well.

Luckily most Moscow clubs don’t do cover fees. Some electro clubs will charge 15-20$, depending on their lineup. There’s the odd club with a minimum spend of 20-30$, which you’ll drop on drinks easily. By and large, you can scope out the venues for free, which is a big plus.

Bottle service is a great deal in Moscow. At top-tier clubs, it starts at 1,000$. That’ll go a long way with premium vodka at 250$, especially if you have three or four guys chipping in. Not to mention that it’s a massive status boost for getting girls, especially at high-end clubs.

Without bottle service, you should estimate a budget of 100-150$ per night. That is if you drink a lot and hit the top clubs with the hottest girls. Scale down for less alcohol and more basic places.

Dress code & Face control

Door policy in Moscow is called “face control” and it’s always the guy behind the two gorillas that gives the green light if you’re in or out.

In Moscow nightlife there’s only one rule when it comes to dress codes:

You can never be underdressed.

People dress A LOT sharper than, say, in the US and that goes for both sexes. For high-end clubs, you definitely want to roll with a sharp blazer and a pocket square, not to mention dress shoes in tip-top condition. Those are the minimum requirements to level the playing field vis a vis with other sharply dressed guys that have a lot more money than you do. Unless you plan to hit explicit electro or underground clubs, which have their own dress code, you are always on the money with that style.

Getting in a Moscow club isn’t as hard as it seems: dress sharp, speak English at the door and look like you’re in the mood to spend all that money that you supposedly have (even if you don’t). That will open almost any door in Moscow’s nightlife for you.

Types of Moscow Nightclubs

In Moscow there are four types of clubs with the accompanying female clientele:

High-end clubs:

These are often crossovers between restaurants and clubs with lots of tables and very little space to dance. Heavy accent on bottle service most of the time but you can work the room from the bar as well. The hottest and most expensive girls in Moscow go there. Bring deep pockets and lots of self-confidence and you have a shot at swooping them.

Regular Mid-level clubs:

They probably resemble more what you’re used to in a nightclub: big dancefloors, stages and more space to roam around. Bottle service will make you stand out more but you can also do well without. You can find all types of girls but most will be in the 6-8 range. Your targets should always be the girls drinking and ideally in pairs. It’s impossible not to swoop if your game is at least half-decent.

Basic clubs/dive bars:

Usually spots with very cheap booze and lax face control. If you’re dressed too sharp and speak no Russian, you might attract the wrong type of attention so be vigilant. If you know the local scene you can swoop 6s and 7s almost at will. Usually students and girls from the suburbs.

Electro/underground clubs:

Home of the hipsters and creatives. Parties there don’t mean meeting girls and getting drunk but doing pills and spacing out to the music. Lots of attractive hipster girls if that is your niche. That is its own scene with a different dress code as well.

What time to go out in Moscow

Moscow nightlife starts late. Don’t show up at bars and preparty spots before 11pm because you’ll feel fairly alone. Peak time is between 1am and 3am. That is also the time of Moscow nightlife’s biggest nuisance: concerts by artists you won’t know and who only distract your girls from drinking and being gamed. From 4am to 6am the regular clubs are emptying out but plenty of people, women included, still hit up one of the many afterparty clubs. Those last till well past 10am.

As far as days go: Fridays and Saturdays are peak days. Thursday is an OK day, all other days are fairly weak and you have to know the right venues.

The Ultimate Moscow Nightclub List

Short disclaimer: I didn’t add basic and electro clubs since you’re coming for the girls, not for the music. This list will give you more options than you’ll be able to handle on a weekend.

Preparty – start here at 11PM

Classic restaurant club with lots of tables and a smallish bar and dancefloor. Come here between 11pm and 12am when the concert is over and they start with the actual party. Even early in the night tons of sexy women here, who lean slightly older (25 and up).

The second floor of the Ugolek restaurant is an extra bar with dim lights and house music tunes. Very small and cozy with a slight hipster vibe but generally draws plenty of attractive women too. A bit slower vibe than Valenok.

Very cool, spread-out venue that has a modern library theme. Not always full with people but when it is, it’s brimming with top-tier women. Slow vibe here and better for grabbing contacts and moving on.

game lounge business plan

High-end: err on the side of being too early rather than too late because of face control.

Secret Room

Probably the top venue at the moment in Moscow . Very small but wildly popular club, which is crammed with tables but always packed. They do parties on Thursdays and Sundays as well. This club has a hip-hop/high-end theme, meaning most girls are gold diggers, IG models, and tattooed hip hop chicks. Very unfavorable logistics because there is almost no room no move inside the club but the party vibe makes it worth it. Strict face control.

Close to Secret Room and with a much more favorable and spacious three-part layout. This place attracts very hot women but also lots of ball busters and fakes that will leave you blue-balled. Come early because after 4am it starts getting empty fast. Electronic music.

A slightly kitsch restaurant club that plays Russian pop and is full of gold diggers, semi-pros, and men from the Caucasus republics. Thursday is the strongest night but that dynamic might be changing since Secret Room opened its doors. You can swoop here but it will be a struggle.

game lounge business plan

Mid-level: your sweet spot in terms of ease and attractiveness of girls for an average budget.

Started going downwards in 2018 due to lax face control and this might get even worse with the World Cup. In terms of layout one of the best Moscow nightclubs because it’s very big and bottle service gives you a good edge here. Still attracts lots of cute girls with loose morals but plenty of provincial girls (and guys) as well. Swooping is fairly easy here.

I haven’t been at this place in over a year, ever since it started becoming ground zero for drunken teenagers. Similar clientele to Icon but less chic, younger and drunker. Decent mainstream music that attracts plenty of tourists. Girls are easy here as well.

Sort of a Coyote Ugly (the real one in Moscow sucks) with party music and lots of drunken people licking each others’ faces. Very entertaining with the right amount of alcohol and very easy to pull in there. Don’t think about staying sober in here, you’ll hate it.

Artel Bessonitsa/Shakti Terrace

Electronic music club that is sort of a high-end place with an underground clientele and located between the teenager clubs Icon and Gipsy. Very good music but a bit all over the place with their vibe and their branding. You can swoop almost any type of girl here from high-heeled beauty to coked-up hipsters, provided they’re not too sober.

Afterparty: if by 5AM  you haven’t pulled, it’s time to move here.

Best afterparty spot in terms of trying to get girls. Pretty much no one is sober in there and savage gorilla game goes a long way. Lots of very hot and slutty-looking girls but it can be hard to tell apart who is looking for dick and who is just on drugs but not interested. If by 9-10am you haven’t pulled, it is probably better to surrender.

The hipster alternative for afterparties, where even more drugs are in play. Plenty of attractive girls there but you have to know how to work this type of club. A nicer atmosphere and better music but if you’re desperate to pull, you’ll probably go to Miks.

Weekday jokers: if you’re on the hunt for some sexy Russian girls during the week, here are two tips to make your life easier.

Chesterfield

Ladies night on Wednesdays means this place gets pretty packed with smashed teenagers and 6s and 7s. Don’t pull out the three-piece suit in here because it’s a “simpler” crowd. Definitely your best shot on Wednesdays.

If you haven’t pulled at Chesterfield, you can throw a Hail Mary and hit up Garage’s Black Music Wednesdays. Fills up really late but there are some cute Black Music groupies in here. Very small club. Thursday through Saturday they do afterparties and you have an excellent shot and swooping girls that are probably high.

Shishas Sferum

This is pretty much your only shot on Mondays and Tuesdays because they offer free or almost free drinks for women. A fairly low-class club where you should watch your drinks. As always the case in Moscow, there will be cute girls here on any day of the week but it’s nowhere near as good as on the weekend.

In a nutshell, that is all you need to know about where to meet Moscow girls in nightlife. There are tons of options, and it all depends on what best fits your style, based on the type of girls that you’re looking for.
