Hilly regions, in particular, are transformed into breathtaking vistas that resemble something out of a fairy tale. As the winter sun graces us with its gentle warmth, the world seems to hibernate in preparation for the blossoming of spring.

Despite the harshness of winter, there’s a sense of cosiness that comes with this season. Warm woollen clothes, cups of hot cocoa, and crackling fires create a comforting atmosphere. It’s a time when families gather around, sharing stories and creating cherished memories.

Just as trees shed their leaves, we can let go of what no longer serves us, paving the way for personal growth. The stillness of winter allows us to dive deep within and explore our inner landscapes.

In conclusion, the winter season is a symphony of contrasts – the cold and the warmth, the stillness and the celebrations. Essay on Seasons

Essay on seasons

The world is very vast and every part of it has a different climate. However, the most prominent seasons are summer, winter and rainy seasons.

Different parts of the world experience different seasons at different times of the year.

Seasons change according to the earth’s revolution around the sun. During the year. as the earth revolves around the sun some parts of the earth face the sun and receive more heat energy from the sun. Hence, these parts of the earth experience summer. At the same time, the parts of the earth which are not facing the sun receive less heat energy, hence, experience winter. That is why at a given point in time, some part of world experience summer and some winter.

Some parts of the world do not get very cold, mostly because of the influence of the sea. As the winter starts fading away and the heat begins to intensify, people pack up their woolens. Out come the sun shades, umbrellas and cotton clothes. Sale of ice creams and soft drinks becomes a regular feature during scorching summers.

Between winter and summer seasons, there is a short period called ‘spring’. When springs set in, flowers burst into bloom and the earth seems to be smiling. During the rainy season, raincoats and umbrellas are constant companions. As the showers fade away, once again winter sets in. Thus, goes on the season’s cycle.

We enjoy each season with its fruits, festivals, and weather.

Essay on My Favourite Season Winter

Winter is the best of all seasons and I like this season the most. December, January and February are the three winter months. The weather at this time is very pleasant. In this season we can work hard but do not get tired. We put on warm clothes and enjoy the bright sunshine. The nights are very cold. The night in a warm bed under a quilt is very comfortable.

Paddy is harvested in this season. Colourful seasonal flowers grow in gardens. Fish, vegetables and fruits are also available in plenty in this season. They are very cheap also. This is the most suitable time for holding picnics in the open air. We can go out and hold excursions in winter.

Various types of fairs are held and festivals like Saraswati Puja, Christmas, and New Year’s Day are celebrated in this season. While we enjoy the cool comfort of the winter, the poor people suffer a lot during these months. They do not have warm clothes to protect them from cold. Overall I love this season very much.

My Favourite season Rainy Season

The season I like most is the Rainy season or monsoon. In India, this season begins in mid-June and ends in early September. Rainy season comes after the scorching heat of summer season and gives us relief. Clouds float here and there in the sky. Lightning and thunder occur frequently. People can be seen with umbrellas and raincoats. Dry rivers and lakes become full.

Farmers plough their fields. Children become very happy. They make paper boats and dance in the rain. A variety of fruits, vegetables, and crops grow in this season. Beautiful flowers blossom in this time. Beautiful rainbows can be seen in the sky.  This season brings a lot of festivals like Raksha Bandhan, 15th August, Teej, Janmashtami, etc. We can enjoy various types of dishes in the rain.

But sometimes heavy rainfall brings the flood. Flood causes many to lose their lives, houses, and livelihood. On the other hand, if there is no rainfall for a long time, drought can occur. This causes extensive damage to crops. So, the Rainy season is an important season for us.

My Favourite Season Autumn Essay

During the rainy season, the sky remains overcast with clouds. Rains fall continually. But, with autumn, the clouds are no more. A deep blue sky spreads, like a deep blue sea. The white patches of clouds float like little fairy boats.

The day looks golden with the sun shining. The night has a silvery moon, with its silvery luster. The millions of stars, too, sparkle. Now and then, rain begins to fall thick and fast. But then suddenly the rain stops and, again, a deep blue sky smiles. In autumn, the rivers are full to the brim. The fields are all green and golden with crops. Men and women are busy among them, reaping the harvest. Nature and man seem to unite in one mood of peaceful gladness. Autumn is my favourite season.

During this movement, when part of earth comes nearer to the sun, gets heated (because of straight and direct sun’s rays) which bring the summer season. In this season, days become long and night short.

It falls after the festival of Holi and ends before the start of rainy season. All the water evaporated during summer season, stores in the form of vapor in the atmosphere (which makes clouds) and fall as rain in the rainy season. There are some advantages as well as disadvantages of the summer season. On one hand, when it is the season of enjoyment and rest for kids; on the other hand, it puts people at various problems and risks such as high heat, storm, heat stroke, dehydration, summer-boils, weakness, restless, etc. Mid-day of summer days become full of terrible heat which cause many weak people to die or suffer from sun-strokes.

At many places in India, people suffer scarcity of water and drought condition as wells, canals, and rivers go dry. Trees suffer falling of leaves because of lack of water. Everywhere dusty and hot wind runs which keeps people at health risk. We need to eat more fruits, cold things and drink more water in order to beat the summer heat.

Short Essay on ‘Seasons in India’

India is well known for its diversified nature and climate. Every year the country witnesses mainly four major seasons i.e. summer, monsoon, post-monsoon, winter. Each season has its own charm and characteristics. The duration of each season ranges from three to four months. In a nutshell, India is a tropical region.

Monsoon follows the summer season and brings relief to everyone’s life. Monsoon stays for three to four months. It begins at the end of June and stays until September. The origins of the Indian monsoon are basically the Arabian sea and the Bay of Bengal. The first monsoon rains in India are witnessed in the state of Kerala. Some other regions too experienced heavy downpours, especially the south-western part of India (Mumbai, Nashik, Nagpur, etc).

There comes the post-monsoon season which stays for two seasons approximately i.e. October and November. Some also refer to this season as Autumn in India. This is the transition phase between the monsoon and the winter season. This transition period brings very comfortable and pleasant weather which prepares everyone for the dry winter season. Some regions might witness a little bit of deluge at this time.

Thereafter, this season is followed by the most awaited season - winter. The temperature can go down to 10 to 15 degrees Celsius in this season. The extreme north and north-eastern region of India also witnesses heavy snowfall in this time of the year, i.e., Kashmir, Uttarakhand, etc, and other northern regions see an extreme fall in the temperature. The temperature might be around minus 5 to 5 degrees Celsius. The coldest months in the entire year are December and January. As opposed to summer, the season has the longest nights compared to the days.

Effect on Season Change

Due to heavy pollution, some disturbances have been created in India's generally smooth seasonal cycles. Various activities like urbanization, industrialization, deforestation,  etc., have affected the seasonal changes in India. Excessive deforestation for residential buildings and industries to cope with the growing demands.  People have led to the loss of valuable green forests in the country.  By this, a disturbance is caused in the rainfall pattern and has led to floods and drought in various countries.

Causes of Effect on Indian Climate

The cause of climate change is happening  as follows:

Burning of fossil fuels

Industrialization

Deforestation

Emission of greenhouse gasses

Urbanization

Due to the change in rainfall and temperature patterns, people face extreme climatic conditions. Indian monsoons lead to floods in parts of the northeast and northwest while the southern parts experience drought to the extreme levels. These changes have been confusing scientists and meteorological experts for a long time. It is difficult to identify exact reasons for these adversities. These changes can be permanent if we will not take a severe step as soon as possible.

In a nutshell, India is one of those beautiful countries which witness the diversity of nature. Each region is popular for its various conditions of nature. Each season is beautiful in its way and Indians are lucky to experience such wide ranges of nature at its best.

Short Essay on Monsoon [100, 200, 400 Words] With PDF

Our today’s session is going to be focused on writing short essays on the Monsoon season. I will write three different sets of essays on monsoon in this session, covering different word limits most commonly recommended in various exams.

Feature image of Short Essay on Monsoon

Short Essay on Monsoon in 100 Words

The term monsoon is derived from the Arabic word ‘Mausam,’ meaning seasons. Several parts of the world actually experience two major seasons. Those are summer and winter. Alongside with it two short seasons of spring and autumn intermediate the major ones. But none experiences the rainy season as particular a part of the seasonal cycle.

Only India has this speciality, whose climate is the tropical monsoon since, for a greater part of the year, the people enjoy rainfall. Monsoon is the significant one helping in Indian agriculture. It is also the source of water for drought-prone and dry areas. Indian life depends principally on it since its arrival and departure is the reason for the well-being of the people.

Short Essay on Monsoon in 200 Words

Every place on earth is inhabited by certain people, vegetation, culture, which arise out of the typical climate and seasonal diversities that every place experiences. India is a land of diversities, not much for its variety in inhabitants and culture, several states, but also for the uniqueness of its climate.

Indian climate is called the Tropical Monsoon because it is the only country that experiences rainfall in a particular season. It is unavailable in the rest of the world. The term monsoon comes from the Arabic term ‘Mausam’ meaning season. The Indian climate favours the monsoon season as it is the most important force behind its agrarian economy.

Monsoon occurs on two spells in India, where the southern part experiences it twice during summer and winter. Monsoon arrives in India in June and continues till September. It is mainly conducted by the si=outh-west wind to drive the moist air from the Indian ocean and the Bay of Bengal to cause rainfall on its eastern sides.

The deserts remain dry because the moist water ends up by the time it reaches the west. An early or late monsoon is a symbol of flood and drought respectively since it is the vagaries that affect the cultivation. Hence its proper showering is essential for the sustenance of life.

Short Essay on Monsoon in 400 Words

Rain is one of the most significant natural forces on earth, which drives the course of vegetation, human and animal lives, and the cultural context of a certain place. If a place is well fed by rainfall then it will produce greenery and softness in minds of people, whereas regions on earth that hardly receive any water have to toil really hard with the deserts in their background. Thus monsoon is time to nurture nature and ourselves to the best of our ability.

The term monsoon is not an indigenous term. It is derived from the Arabic term ‘Mausam’ meaning season. Monsoon in plain terms means the rainy season and India is the best country to recognize the significance of Monsoon. It is the time when seasonal winds blow from the south towards the north, thus taking up moist winds from the Indian ocean and the Bay of Bengal and resulting in creating rainfall in the eastern part of India.

The winds blow from southwest to northeast. By the time it reaches the Western Ghats, the moist winds get dry and create very little rain. Monsoon determines the position of agriculture in India, where adequate rainfall supports optimum crop cultivation and production. Monsoon defines India according to two slopes. The places receiving rainfall are the perfect region to produce a better lifestyle, than the rain shadow areas that hardly ever receive rain. In fact, the equatorial regions also receive heavy rain throughout the year and are the belt of the deep equatorial forests.

Monsoon is responsible for floods and drought. It happens according to the wet spell and dry spell. If the monsoon arrives prior to its time or departs much late than its usual time, it is the wet spell that creates a flood. On the other hand, if the monsoon is too late to arrive or arrives much before its completion of a cycle, then the dry spell creates drought and scarcity of water. These are the vagaries of monsoon and it creates immense trouble to the countrymen. India’s agrarian economy is highly hampered due to the drought and flood and it becomes very difficult to revive it again.

Monsoon is hence one the most essential seasonal aspect of India, where Cherapunji receives the maximum rainfall in the whole world. While the world is satisfied with summer and winter, India experiences a wonderful and unique cycle of seasons, where monsoon is not just a show of drizzles.

I have written the essays above with a very simplistic approach for a better and easier understanding of all kinds of students. So, hopefully after going through this lesson, all your doubts regarding this context have been resolved. • BATTLEGROUND BLITZ BRAWL
  • Developer’s note: We’ve been happy to see the excitement around Battleground Blitz after its launch in Guardians of the Dream and after monitoring feedback and internal data, we are making some changes. We believe these changes will be healthy for the game mode and we want to ensure adequate time to observe feedback on them while Battleground Blitz is a brawl. In particular, we have not been happy with the low frequency of capture the flag maps due to the restriction of having the maps be only available with tanks. In 10.2.6, we are lifting that restriction and are introducing a new buff, Empowered Carrier, that will be applied to non-tank specializations if they pick up the flag in Warsong Gulch and Twin Peaks. Tanks will still only be matched up against other tanks, and this buff will only be applied if there are not any tanks in the match. Additionally, we’ve been overall happy with and have heard positive feedback around having an increased mount speed in Battleground Blitz. However, the 150% mount speed increase is slightly too fast for both the gameplay and character control experiences. We are adjusting the amount of increase on all maps, although having it slightly higher on the larger maps: Arathi Basin and Deepwind Gorge.
  • Eye of the Storm Added a hidden effect that prevents fall damage to both teams for 10 seconds at the start of a match.
  • New Buff: Empowered Carrier – Increases maximum health by 10% and movement speed by 30%. Additionally, Empowered Carrier provides 25% damage reduction for 4 seconds when stunned. Empowered Carrier is applied to non-tank specializations who pick up the flag on Warsong Gulch or Twin Peaks and won’t be applied if the match started with tanks in the match.
  • Increased mount speed is now 100% Arathi Basin and Deepwind Gorge (was 150%).
  • Increased mount speed is now 75% on all other maps (was 150%).
  • Preservation Rewind heals for 50% of damage taken in the last 5 seconds in PvP combat (was 33%).

"Raid loot from Vault of the Incarnates and Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible have received several adjustments" So this confirms that we get rotating raids again for fated season? Wasn't this universally agreed upon as hated by the community? Do the devs even listen to feedback?

Do the devs even listen to feedback? having them on a rotation was disliked. having them all available at the same time ppl liked along with dinar to buy gear. i havent seen anything about them being on a rotation this time

Wasn't this universally agreed upon as hated by the community? Do the devs even listen to feedback? Its End of Expansion, S4....they had no intentions of making new raid tier. This is why we polled on what Set look and set bonus people wanted. We all knew this was coming, sorry you were late to the party.

They actually fixed the issues in Ulduar Timewalking? What's going on over at Blizzard...

Dev responsible for blood , what is wrong with you? Where is the so called tuning, 4 seasons, still garbage in m+, and you don't even buff S2 set , it's the same as it was in s2. And guess what? In s2 BDK was hot garbage. No one cares about m+. It was the single worst and most useless part of the game added.

Comment by Rump

LESGOOOWWWW I dig the aggressive trinket changes, it's nice to see a shakeup for DF's finale. Chance for more loot from bosses is always welcome too, with the very rare loot changes. On the pvp side, empowered carrier sounds hilarious.

Comment by islanddeac

I wish that Blizz would have more specifically addressed what makes the lower usage trinkets not that good/underpowered rather than nerfing a lot of the trinkets that people use/like. Both ways likely gets them to the same point - trinkets more on a level playing field - but psychologically they elicit different responses as one is a nerf to something people liked in the past while the other is a newly buffed option to compete with what they used in the past.

Introduction:

Summer, Rainy Season, and Winter are celebrated in India. My favorite season among these three is the rainy season. I always look forward to my favorite days. The coldness of this season is unique, and it reflects everyone’s mentality.

For me, everything becomes lovable.

The sun is hidden behind heavy grey clouds, and everyone is relieved of the heat of the sun. At night, during the rainy season, three cold breezes blow, and all the stars vanish from the sky.

Every Sunday during the rainy season, I go for a morning stroll with my umbrella, and if it rains while I’m out, I play with my pals over there. I also build a paper boat and pretend to be the captain of the ship.

Because India has a poor drainage infrastructure, waterlogging is a common occurrence during the rainy season. The muddy water fills the pits of the roadways, causing traffic congestion and many accidents.

Due of a lack of sunshine, many infectious diseases spread. When water collects in waste materials, mosquitoes lay their eggs there, increasing the risk of diseases such as malaria and dengue fever.

Heavy rain washes away the poor’s tiny encampment, which was made out of tents and plastic. In several places, the recent rain has resulted in flooding.

Conclusion:

Despite the season’s disadvantages, Indian citizens anxiously await the arrival of the season and rejoice when they see the first black cloud of rain.

Diablo 4 season 4 release date and details.

Season 4 of Diablo 4 is on the horizon, and is set to bring with it a whole host of new content, improvements, and changes across the board to make the game feel fresh and better than ever.

This page acts as a comprehensive breakdown of everything we know about Season 4 of Diablo IV, including its release date .

Diablo 4 Season 4 Release Date

Season 4 of Diablo 4 is set to launch on May 14th, 2024 .

Loot & Affix Updates

When Season 4 launches, Legendary and Rare items will have a reduced number of Affixes, but the caveat is that more can be added over time via the new Tempering crafting system, and bolstered by the Masterworking system. The reduction in affixes are as follows:

  • Legendary items - 3 affixes
  • Rare items - 2 affixes

In general, the ethos is quality over quantity when it comes to items, and supporting the idea of a journey with your gear to continually improve it and feel substantial improvements over time.

As such, there will be a smaller pool of affixes , with more relevant and potent affixes remaining. You will also only find Sacred items in World Tier 3 , and only Ancestral items in World Tier 4 .

Additionally, Legendary items dropped from monsters level 95 and above will always be 925 item power. Gems will be simplified and improved, with a longer crafting tail, and more!

Tempering Manuals are a new item that you can gain from defeating enemies, and these will contain various affixes that all revolve around a particular build type or general theme. One of these affixes can then be applied at random to an item via a blacksmith , though it's important to note that these can be re-rolled (up to the item's Tempering Durability) if you don't like the outcome.

Masterworking

The above all feed into the Masterworking system, which is a late-game crafting system that allows you to further upgrade your items. It can improve your current affixes by up to 12 ranks , with a single affix being massively upgraded every 4 ranks you raise.

Greater Affixes

Greater Affixes are more powerful versions of normal affixes, with a 1.5x multiplier on the affix's max roll. These will only appear on Ancestral Legendary and Unique items.

Class Changes

Major class updates are coming, looking to update systems and designs as opposed to incrimental health and damage tweaks. Examples in terms of balancing include (but are not limited to):

  • Tibault's Will damage is being reduced
  • Banished Lord's Talisman damage is being reduced
  • Damage Reduction in general is going to be a rarer find
  • Charge updates

Totino-grace's class 3a dominance in boys basketball leads to the opt-up question, totino-grace's success raises the 4a vs. 3a question.

Totino-Grace boys basketball coach Nick Carroll offered praise of beaten Class 3A championship opponent Mankato East in a manner unlikely to appease the haters.

"This was the toughest run for us," Carroll said when asked about his team's third consecutive state title pursuit. "Mankato East played as well as I saw them play all year today."

Until the playoffs, however, Carroll had little chance (or reason) to see a 3A opponent. Twenty-one of the 22 Minnesota schools Carroll's Eagles played during the regular season were from Class 4A, the largest schools by enrollment.

"There's not a challenge they haven't seen," Carroll said.

Mankato East coach Joe Madson pointed out: "You don't see a lot of teams like that in the Big 9 Conference or in our section. Most teams can say that. They play mostly 4A and out-of-state schools. Their regular-season schedule is awfully good, and certainly they had that going for them."

Totino-Grace faced both teams that played in Saturday's Class 4A title game, Wayzata and Minnetonka, and lost by a combined six points.

Such success leads to questions about opting up to compete in Class 4A in the postseason rather than 3A. Carroll addressed his desire to opt up.

"You don't know what the future is going to hold," he said. "Our football program went up to 6A and won it, but then they started to struggle quite a bit and went back to 4A. We understand all the noise that comes around it. We're excited where the program is at and definitely it will be an ongoing conversation with our activities director."

Dad blazed Breck junior's trail

Miles Newton received some advice before playing in the Class 2A boys basketball championship game from a pretty good source.

His dad, Milt, scored 15 points in the 1988 NCAA championship game for Kansas. His Jayhawks, led by Danny Manning, defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 83-79 in Kansas City. These days Milt Newton is assistant general manager of the Milwaukee Bucks. He served as general manager for the Timberwolves from late 2013 into 2016.

"He just told me to come out, be aggressive and play my game," Miles said. "Just be myself, and I went out there and did it."

A junior captain for top-seeded Breck, Newton scored nine of his 16 points in the second half as the Mustangs held off Lake City 76-72 to win the first state title in school history. Miles scored all nine of those second-half points during a stretch when the Mustangs outscored the Tigers 22-8 to take a 12-point lead with six minutes left.

"That's not typical to have a junior captain in high school. But the leadership that he provides us on and off the floor during the day in the building, in the basketball locker room and on court helps us tremendously," Mustangs coach Harry Sonie said. "He did the same thing [in the tournament semifinal win over Minnehaha Academy]. He had one or no points at halftime. Then he came out and scored 10 or 11 points that were huge for us. He is a very reliable player for us, and we hope he takes another step next year."

Miles has learned a lot from his dad. He reached one step in his basketball life by finally beating Milt one-on-one last year.

"I get most of my edge and hard work from him," Miles Newton said. "Growing up he didn't have the things I have available. I'm able to take that and much more."

Cherry completes rise from zero wins to state title

Cherry started with nothing.

Well, not quite nothing. It had Isaac Asuma. Trouble is, he was in seventh grade.

That season was 2018-19, and the Tigers went 0-22. Among the losses was 105-31 to North Woods. It didn't get any worse than that, but the Tigers gave up 100-plus points three times.

Most projects don't start where they end up, but this one has a stunning separation, now that Cherry won a state championship Saturday by defeating Fertile-Beltrami 78-40 at Williams Arena.

Here's Cherry's path to a state title from Isaac Asuma's seventh-grade season through the junior year during which he committed to the Gophers to Saturday:

2023-24: 31-2, state championship.

2022-23: 27-6, lost in state semifinals.

2021-22: 27-6, lost in state semifinals.

2020-21: 12-7.

2019-20: 15-11.

2018-19: 0-22.

"We finally did it," Isaac Asuma said Saturday. "We are now state champions. It's super special to be remembered in the history books forever."

Time to prove they deserved it

Championship Saturday is upon us.

Four boys basketball teams have an opportunity to prove they were worthy of their No. 1 ratings by Minnesota Basketball News in the final regular-season poll.

All four have looked all season like the best team in their class: Wayzata in Class 4A, Totino-Grace in Class 3A, Breck in Class 2A and Cherry in Class 1A.

Wayzata (29-1) and Totino-Grace (26-5) are looking to successfully defend their state titles while Breck (30-1) and Cherry (30-2) are seeking the first state championships in program history. Totino-Grace is the reigning two-time champion.

All four teams are led by high-major Division I recruits. They are Cherry's Isaac Asuma (Gophers), Breck's Daniel Freitag (Wisconsin), Totino-Grace's Isaiah Johnson-Arigu (Miami, Florida) and Wayzata's Jackson McAndrew (Creighton). It's time for the stars to shine brightly.

Basketball enthusiasts should take note that the schedule isn't like that of previous years. Cherry and Fertile-Beltrami (27-6) will get everything started at 11 a.m. The Class 3A title game between Totino-Grace and No. 2-ranked Mankato East (28-2) will follow at 1 p.m.

The night session will consist of Breck against No. 3 Lake City (26-5) in the Class 2A finale at 5 p.m., and Lake Conference powers Wayzata and No. 4 Minnetonka (24-6) will meet at 8 p.m.

It's moments from tipoff, and fans at Williams Arena are already in a frenzy. It should be a fun final day.
