Quick and easy!

I was happy with the work overall, it was quick (about 24 hours) and I was very satisfied with the cover letter. However, when I asked for the dates to be revised I didn't like that the CV writer pushed back on including months on my CV (only the year), to a recruiter it could look like there are gaps in my CV, but apparently adding the months is including information employers didn't ask for. Never heard that before.

I will have to edit that myself as he didn't seem willing to do it. That is the only thing stopping me from giving five stars.

Poorest service. None of the work was completed. The first draft for the cover letter was a copy and paste of my cv, the second a copy and paste of the JD and the third a copy and paste of thoughts I shared. I had to write the cover letter myself in the end so I wouldn't miss the deadline. And when I asked for a refund, I was told I had been sent all the drafts and the work was completed. No refund, and now no communication.

I think having a CV writer write a cover letter is very difficult as cover letters are supposed to be very tailored to the requirements of each particular role. My main issue, however, was that I have consistently read and been told (by advice sites and career advisors or experts in the industry), that I should also be sure to follow the STAR technique. Basically, to back up my claims of 'being something' or 'being able to do something,' with an example of how I have done this in the past (or something similar that could be transferred).

The cover letter was absent from this and the focus was on explaining what I can do and not how/why I feel in a position to make this statement. I tried to express my concern by pointing to a few examples, but, the writer simply changed the claims that I was making, but still did not give examples to back them up, and explained that this (the style of the cover letter) was a proven strategy and add to it myself to further tailor it for each job.

I fully expected that I would need to change or add to it for each role. But, the way that these examples of 'strengths' were written and presented just felt very abstract. As an example, writing "Overhauling training and working practices; improving the transparency of key information to improve decision making" is fine, but, what is missing is an example of when and how I have previously done this and how this relates to improving the transparency of key information....".

The other thing I was a little confused about was this sentence, "Additionally, my talents in communication, report writing and relationship building will enable me to seamlessly integrate with your team and provide exceptional service to ensure an outstanding student experience." The roles I am applying for have nothing to do with the student experience so this is really irrelevant. As I said in my feedback on the CV, if I am told to expect the work in approx 2-3 business days, then please take the time to check these small details rather than delivering it within 24 hours but with these kinds of problems which makes one feel that it has been done in a bit of a rush.

I am sure if I had kept contacting the CV writer about each of these issues big and small they would have all been resolved. But, as I am working, studying, and writing cover letters on a daily basis, I was tired of also giving back feedback about these things which I felt were fairly obvious - I had also already changed from one CV writer to another although I would have preferred a refund at that time, as my confidence in the service was very low, so this impacted my willingness this time around to keep giving feedback and raising issues - especially when I did not feel like my point was understood and addressed.

I felt that the information I shared about myself, my experiences, and my professional goals was captured well.

My CV is more specific to my career aims and my experiences have been presented in a more concise and professional manner. The writer distinguished between achievements and responsibilities and I though this was useful, as I would not have considered or been able to make this distinction. There were some minor issues with the text which on the first draft was OK, but, seeing them on the second draft was less okay. I would rather receive the work less quickly to feel confident that the writer took their time over it.

In only 4 hours Kathlyn was able to write up my advanced career CV.

With extremely minor changes that were made in minutes - she was able to provide me with an amazing service and my expectations were met from the very first paragraph! I would 1000% recommend this company and especially Kathlyn for anyone that needs a CV written.

It was a very professional and fascinating experience. Though I've worked for many years in senior finance positions, reviewed resumes and brought in people based on their personal letters and etc, for some reason I could not make my own resume look interesting (even to myself). They helped me understand how they bring out the best of a position and making it clear - the designs of the resumes are great - and they would mold together a profile based on your old resume, your reference letters and job postings that you are interested in.

I paid for the CV/Resume with linkedin profile and senior writer oversight. The CV was passable but I wasn't blown away by it. Despite giving them an extensive amount of information that I was wanting a cover letter for a career change they ignored this and chose to pigeonhole me with a cookie-cutter prefilled cover letter. When I asked for this to be redone and provided even more information with specific details of what I wanted I was told my writer was no longer available and they would find me a new writer. Two weeks later and I've still heard nothing and my order has automatically been approved. Awful customer service and a waste of money!

The cover letter my senior consultant, Claire, helped me put together means I am using a cover letter for the first time. I passed up on so many job postings which required a cover letter because I didn't really understand how to put it together and differentiate it from my CV. When I first got the initial review call the lady ensured me the CV will be at a high standard and completed on time and someone will be assigned to help me with my CV within 24 hours.

The first person who was assigned was then unable to complete my CV so another person was assigned.
