For programmes with an annual fee of Rs 1,00,000 and above, the one time non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee for the first year is 10,000.

The SRM University 2023 hostel fee for both male and female students can be checked from the table given below.

For Male Candidates

The hostel fee includes mess fees of Rs 55000 for veg and non-veg food.

The laundry fee for male candidates is Rs. 6000, and Rs 7000 for female candidates.

Unless the candidate withdraws from the course, the hostel fee will not be refunded

There will be no refund for students expelled from the hostel.

The hostel cancellation changes will be according to rules.

Candidates claiming a refund after the cancellation of their admission can check below-given details.

Cancellation of Admission and Refund Policy

As per the SRM University 2023 policy, the directorate of admission will be responsible to process the refund until the enrollment is complete. Once the enrollment is over, candidates will need to visit the respective college/ school for the same.

The request for admission cancellation will have to be submitted online via the official website. The request made through any other means will not be entertained.

The refund will be deposited directly to the bank account of the candidate according to the cancelled cheque submitted at the time of counselling/ admission.

A small amount may be deducted by RTGS / NEFT from the refund at the time of transfer.

Online Cancellation with no change in bank account details:

The online cancellation date will be taken to be the date for formal withdrawal of admission. This date will be taken into consideration for working out the amount eligible for the refund

The refund will be decided based on the details given in the online cancellation form. No other documents will be needed.

The paperwork required to process refund will initiate only on the date of receipt of the below documents by the Directorate of Admissions, Kattankulathur:

1. All fee payment receipts

2. Counselling Call Letter

3. Provisional Allotment Letter (PAL)

4. Cheque leaf (cancelled) of the bank to which transfer of money will be made

SRMIST will not be responsible for misrepresentation of account information provided by the student.

Once documents received for refund are all in order, the time taken to process the transfer will be 30 working days.

It is entirely on the candidate to send in documents for timely processing of the refund.

For the KTR campus the AC college buses will run for certain areas of Chennai.

The candidates will make out a Demand Draft in favour of SRMIST payable at Chennai for both KTR and Vadapalani campuses. The DD for NCR campus, on the other hand, will be made out in favour of SRMIST payable at New Delhi

Except for the first year, candidates will have the option to book the bus online.

The transportation service will be afforded subject to the availability of seats.

The transportation fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Candidates will have to provide 2 stamp size recent photographs in order to receive the bus pass

The university provides various scholarships to promising students who may otherwise not get the chance to study at SRM University.

There are total four SRM Universities: SRM Institutes of Science and Technology, Chennai (SRMIST);  SRM University, AP Amaravati (AMR) ;  SRM University, Haryana (HYN) ; and  SRM University, Sikkim .

The one time non-refundable registration fee for the first year for courses with an annual fee of Rs  1 lac or more is Rs. 10,000.

Theone time non-refundable registration fee for the first year for courses with an annual fee of less than Rs  1 lac is Rs. 5,000.

The refund claim is processed and signed off on by the Directorate of Admissions, SRM University upon receipt of all paperwork.

Provided all the paperwork received is in proper order, it shouldn’t take more than 30 days for the claim to to be processed.

The deduction, whatever they may amount to, will have to be borne by the student.

It offers numerous career opportunities across all industries, making it one of the most sought after course pursued by students after Class 12, especially those from the Science stream. The BTech programme is your gateway to a career in engineering with a duration of four years followed by an MTech programme of two years duration.

Well I do not have  idea about Amravati University, I would say Geeta University is a well-known Haryana based university that offers courses in management, commerce, engineering, arts, humanities, social sciences, law, performing arts, and Indic studies. It offers an program that is focused on imparting advanced knowledge on the subject. The college aims to provide world-class and holistic education to students.

I think SRM and some other universities like KIIT, UPES, and many more, the main focus is to fill their seats regardless of any potential of candidates. Specially SRM will complete their admission processing before the 12th exam(most of the board). Now you can easily understand, what kind of candidate will take admissions, who are very clear about their potential is not even level of JEE main.

On top of that, SRM will not give enough time to block your seat till JEE Main 1st attempt with 2.1 a lac deposit.

SRM and their levels of other universities would be deprecated their reputation after a couple of years.

There is no concession for anyone for any exam..

Since srm is good college and it has a nation wise reputation, hence I don't think you can get any concession on the exam.

PhD Admissions 2024 Notification

The applications for admission into PhD programmes are invited throughout the year. There is no last date for the applications, however, selection process will take place four times in a year (Jan, April, Aug and Nov.). The applications can be made online after paying a non-refundable fee of Rs.1200/- (Rupees One thousand and two hundred only).

Eligibility & Admission Procedure

Eligibility & Selection Criteria The candidate should possess at least 60% marks in aggregate or its equivalents grade in master’s degree level. The admission is based on a written entrance examination (4 times a year, Jan, April, Aug and Nov.) followed by an interview.

Applicants who have qualified national wide examinations, UGC-NET (including JRF)/joint UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ICAR (ASRB)-NET/ICMR JRF/DBT-JRF/NBHM are exempted from entrance examination and will appear directly to the discussion meeting for PhD enrolment. The national fellowship holders and potential DBT INSPIRE applicants are welcome to contact the faculties of their research interest.

Selected PhD students will receive a fellowship of Rs. 36000/- per month. The University will also financially support participation in national/international conferences.

SRMU's Ph.D. program provides a rigorous and research-intensive environment, offering aspiring scholars the opportunity to delve into advanced studies, contribute to knowledge creation, and make impactful contributions to their respective fields.

Procedure for Admission in Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme: Our Ph.D. program follows the University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations of 2016 and 2018. Each academic year, the allocation of Ph.D. seats is determined based on available supervisors in specific research areas, adhering to the research scholar-teacher ratio.

Allocation of Seats for Ph.D. degree Course: Every year, the Ph.D. seat allocation in each faculty is determined by supervisor availability in specific research areas, adhering to the research scholar-teacher ratio (Clause-5.2) following notification from the Director, Research & Consultancy (R&C). Seats are then distributed among SC/ST, OBC, and General categories in line with UGC guidelines and UP State Government policy.

Invitation of application for admission in Ph.D. Programme: The University shall invite the applications for registration in Ph.D. programs by notifying well in advance the number of seats for admission, subject/discipline-wise distribution of available seats, criteria for admission, procedure for admission, examination centre(s) and all other relevant information on University website and at least in two national newspapers, of which one shall be in the regional language. A candidate seeking admission in Ph.D. program must apply to the University on the prescribed application form and submit a research proposal in the area of his/her interest for the research work. The verification of those applications shall be carried out to ensure the fulfillment of above mentioned eligibility criterion by the candidate.

Eligibility criteria for admission in Ph.D. Programme: A candidate seeking the registration for the degree of Ph.D. in the university must have the following qualifications.

Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency in its home country shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme. Candidates possessing an M.Phil. Degree or a Degree, considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian institution, from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency in its home country shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme. Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. Course work in the University with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' and successfully completing M.Phil. Degree/ M.Phil. Dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the University. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / Differently Abled / those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991 and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time. Selection Procedure for admission in Ph.D. Programme: The admission in the allocated Ph.D. seats in the University in every academic session will be based on the screening of the Ph.D. aspirants through the written examination, namely “Research Aptitude Test” (RAT), followed by the interview by Faculty Research Degree Committee (FRDC). The applicants who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil programme may be exempted from the screening written examination ‘RAT’ and will be directly called for the interview by the FRDC. Research Aptitude Test: All the eligible Ph.D. aspirants will be called to appear in Research Aptitude Test (RAT) on the notified date and time fixed by the Controller of Examination in consultation with the Director–R&C. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% for research aptitude, reasoning, English proficiency and 50% for subject specific. The qualifying marks for the Ph.D. entrance test shall be 50%.

Interview of the PhD candidates: The number of candidates to be called for interview will be fixed maximum to 4 times the number of available Ph.D. seats for each category in all the faculties of the University. In case of non-availability of reserved category aspirants, the seats will be considered as General Seats. Keeping this criterion, the list of the candidates to be called for interview shall be prepared by first accommodating the candidates fulfilling the criteria defined in Clause-5.3(b) and then adding candidates from the merit list of the RAT. The final selection of the candidate for admission in Ph.D. programme will be decided after their personal interview with the FRDC of the concerned Faculty. During interview by the FRDC, Ph.D. aspirant should give a presentation on his/her research proposal and the FRDC shall assess the suitability of the Ph.D. aspirant to conduct the research work for Ph.D. degree in the University. The FRDC will finally select the candidate and allot a supervisor from the area of research interest of the Ph.D. aspirant.

Duration of the Programme: After the admission in the Ph.D. programme, the date of the start of Pre-PhD course work classes in that academic session shall be considered as the date of Ph.D. registration of the candidate. The minimum time after which the Ph.D. student shall be allowed for the submission of the thesis will be three years from the date of Ph.D. registration, which can be extended up to a maximum of six years. In special circumstances, a maximum extension of one more year limited to six months at a time can be provided by the Vice Chancellor on the recommendation of Research Degree Committee (RDC). The women candidates and Persons with Disability (more than 40% disability) may be allowed a relaxation of two years in the maximum duration. In addition, the women candidates may be provided Maternity Leave/Child Care Leave once in the entire duration of M.Phil/Ph.D. for up to 240 days. Place of Ph.D. work: The institute/faculty in the university shall be, in general, the place of work but in cases where the candidate and the supervisor/Co-Supervisor require work in external research facilities must have the formal permission to use those facilities which can also be the place of work in addition to the University subject to the recommendation by the Student Research Advisory Committee (SRAC) and approval by the Research Degree Committee (RDC).
