The candidates who are aiming for AIIMS Delhi must hold a master’s degree in any of the relevant fields that they want to pursue. The M.Sc/MD/MS degree should be from a recognised university or a medical college. 

The students who are aiming for AIIMS Delhi must refer to the application process mentioned below: 

• First, access the AIIMS New Delhi official website.
• Next, complete the application form by providing all the necessary details.
• After that, upload scanned copies of the required documents and save the information by clicking the save button.
• The application process is considered complete only after the application fee payment.

Finally, make sure to keep a copy of the registered application form for future reference.

The admission process for PhD programs at AIIMS Delhi involves candidates needing to secure valid marks in NEET , INI CET, and qualifying exams. AIIMS New Delhi offers a wide range of courses, including eight undergraduate, 46 postgraduate, and 67 doctoral programs, each with varying seat intake. The candidates must follow the admission process mentioned below: 

• To be admitted to the PhD course at AIIMS New Delhi, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria.
• After meeting the eligibility requirements, candidates are required to fill out and submit the AIIMS Delhi application form.
• Following that, candidates must appear for a written examination conducted by AIIMS New Delhi. 
• Subsequently, candidates must participate in a personal interview round conducted by the institute.
• Those candidates who successfully pass the interview process will be allocated seats.

For the definitive confirmation of admissions, candidates need to undergo document verification and submit the course fee.

The eligibility criteria for a PhD program at AIIMS require candidates to have specific qualifications. Medical aspirants should hold an MBBS/BDS with a minimum of 50% marks, or MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh or Diplomate of NBE. Nursing candidates can apply with an M.Sc degree in Nursing speciality, having a minimum of 50% marks.

AIIMS Delhi provides Fellowship in 5 specializations and PhD in 4 specializations. The PhD session commences in February, and the program’s maximum duration is 5 years.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) imposes an age restriction of 31 years for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), but for the National Eligibility Test (NET), there is no upper age limit.

Admission to AIIMS Ph.D. is through a national entrance exam for the candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria. Students must notice that for certain courses, the UGC-NET exam is required. This information is given in the AIIMS brochure for PhD.

• Pay the application fees.
• Take a printout for future purposes.

Admission to the PhD course at AIIMS is through the national entrance exam conducted by AIIMS. The announcement of this exam is made on the exam website of AIIMS.

For admission purposes, students are required to carry the following documents at the time of the interview.

• 10th and 12th mark sheet
• The graduation mark sheet and certificate

Ph.D Biochemistry at AIIMS Delhi Offline Course

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Biochemistry duration of the course shall be the time period from registration to submission of thesis. The minimum period of registration in respect of all the candidates who are registered for Ph.D. shall be three years. The maximum period of registration shall not exceed five years. Extension beyond the period of 5 years can be given for a maximum period of 6 months on the recommendation of Dean Committee and final approval by Dean/Director.

Eligibility Criteria

A: Fellowship seats available in the project (FA) Candidates with or without Own Fellowship can apply:

• M.Sc. Biochemistry / M.Sc. Biotechnology/ M.Sc. Life Sciences/ MD Biochemistry

B: Own Government Fellowship seats (OF) only those candidates who have their Own Fellowship or In-service candidates (as indicated) from a Government Organization can apply:

• M.Sc./MD Biochemistry, M.Sc. Biotechnology/ Life Sciences
• M .Sc . in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Biomedical Sciences OR MD in Biochemistry
• M.Sc. Life Sciences / MD/M.Sc. Biochemistry
• M.Sc. Biochemistry / MD Biochemistry
• For both: Masters in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Biomedical Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics OR MD Biochemistry

Admission Details

Selection for Ph.D. registration will be through a three-stage performance evaluation as under:

(I) Medical / Dental/Nursing candidates:

Stage I: 30 Marks (30 MCQs of 1 Mark each) Aptitude related MCQs covering English (Written and verbal skills), Biostatistics, Research Methodology, Cell Biology, Lab Technology etc.

Stage II: 40 Marks (40 MCQs of 1 Mark each) Subject related theory based comprising Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of MD/MS/MDS/M.Sc. Entrance level. Total Marks (Stage I + II): 70 (30+40) Total Duration (Stage I + II): 90 Minutes

Candidates must score at least 35 marks in stages I and II (combined) to be eligible for stage III. Candidates who do not fulfill the criteria to qualify for stage III will not be eligible for selection. B: The Special Weightage of 10 marks will be added to the total score of Stages I and II for candidates who fulfill both the following criteria: (1) they are eligible for stage III; and (2) they also hold a Medical Degree (MBBS/ BDS/ MDS/ DNB/ MD/ MS/ DM/ M.Ch.) or M.Sc. (Nursing) or equivalent.

Stage III: From the list detailed in section B above, 3 times as many candidates as the number of seats advertised will be called for departmental clinical/practical/lab based assessment (carrying 20 marks). These marks will be added to the marks of stages I + II + special weightage to determine the final merit.

(II) Non-Medical candidates:

Stage I: 30 Marks (30 MCQs of 1 Mark each) Aptitude related MCQs covering English (Written and verbal skills), Biostatistics, Research Methodology, Cell Biology, Lab technology etc.

Stage III: From the list detailed in section B above, 3 times as many candidates as the number of seats advertised will be called for departmental clinical/practical/lab based assessment (carrying 20 marks). These marks will be added to the marks of stages I + II + special weightage to determine the final merit.

AIIMS notifies on schedule of fee payment, admit card for Professional Exams May to June 2024

New Delhi- The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is going to conduct the professional examinations of undergraduate, postgraduate and fellowship programs from the month of May to June 2024. Regarding this, the examination section of AIIMS has issued a notice informing about the schedule of payment of the examination fee and issuance of admit card.

The notice said that the candidates who are going to appear in the professional examinations of undergraduate and postgraduate are advised to visit the official website of AIIMS to fill out the examination form and pay the examination fee. However, the examination fee should be paid through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking only. Meanwhile, there is no registration and online payment of examination fees for the Fellowship programme.

STEPS TO FILL OUT THE EXAMINATION FORM AND PAYING THE EXAMINATION FEE

1 Visit the AIIMS website.

2 Go to the “STUDENT TAB”.

3 Click on the Professional Examination Registration link.

Names of the courses:

1 Second MBBS

2 Final MBBS (Supplementary)

3 B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing Phase - I & IV

4 B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) Phase - I & II

5 MD / MS / MDS

Online Registration open for Submission of Examination Fee: 15.04.2024

Registration Closing date: 26.04.2024

The notice further instructs that only those candidates who have paid their examination fee as per the schedule can download the admit card by visiting the AIIMS website under the Student tab for the desired course from April 18, 2024.

STEPS TO DOWNLOADING THE ADMIT CARD

1 Click on the Admit Card link.

2 Enter the Enrolment Number.

3 Enter the date of Birth.
