Let me tell you something about the people I love so much. My father is a doctor by profession. He was born and brought up in Bangalore. He has had to work hard all his life. Even now he is always ready to serve his patients day and night. Besides being a doctor, my father plays the flute beautifully. He is also a good chess player, and has many other talents as well.

My mother is small and pretty and cooks very well. She is from Delhi. She was earlier working as a secretary in a firm, but left the job once my sister and I started growing up. She has a golden voice. I love it when she sings me to sleep each night.

Both my parents are very loving people. They take out time for us no matter how busy they are. Every evening we all play games together. On Sundays we go for a picnic or a children’s movie. My parents also scold us whenever we do something wrong, but they never hit us. They help us in our studies, and teach us never to lie, steal or hurt people.

I am really proud to be the son of such parents. I hope they will lead long, healthy happy lives, and will be with us for ever.

My Parents Essay

Everybody needs support to progress in any field of their life, and the best support that anyone can have is from their parents, who can advise them on what is right and wrong for them. Parents are regarded as children's first friends since they are able to guide them from an early age. Here are a few sample essays on "my parents".

100 Words Essay On My Parents

200 words essay on my parents, 500 words essay on my parents.

My Parents Essay

Parents are considered as the base of children. Parents support their children the same way the spine supports the body. Their lives will be difficult without them.

Babies first interact with their parents as soon as they are born and begin to learn new things. The parent's responsibility is to take care of them and teach them these things.

My parents said they were quite concerned for me when I was younger as I would hurt myself quite often. My parents are a crucial part of my life, and I will always be grateful to them because they were the ones who taught me everything that I know today—they formed my perspective about the world and taught me the essential skills that are required to lead a good life.

It’s difficult for a young child to imagine a life without their parents. Many children who lost their parents can be seen struggling with life in orphanages. Parents are regarded as a child's first instructors. Because parents teach their children essential habits and skills before they start school, a life without parents is just like a building with a weak foundation.

My parents said they taught me basic manners, such as greeting teachers before I started attending school, since they believe a person's first impression is their last impression. Because of this learning from my parents, I made a good impression on my teacher. Whenever my parents met my teacher, they only praised my habits, which made my parents happy and satisfied because it was a proud moment for them. Along with this, my parents also said that when I was young, they taught me how to behave around other children. They told me not to fight, not to be rude to others, and to be helpful. As a result of these habits, other children's mothers loved me and appreciated my parents for raising me well. We are a reflection of our parents upbringing and we should always carry ourselves in high regard—this is something my parents have always taught me.

Parents are a gift, and we are blessed to have them. We are unable to imagine our lives without them. We should express our gratitude to them every day. My parents are my strength, they stand by me when I am not at my best and they never make me feel bad about myself. Whenever I am headed in the wrong direction, they are there to guide me.

My mother is a homemaker, and she is the strongest lady I have ever known. My mother manages her health with all the household work. We cannot imagine how many sacrifices she has made throughout her life and is still making to make our life perfect. Sometimes she doesn't even care for her health but works to make our life easy so that we do not feel any disturbance in our life. My mother wakes up earlier than my father and I. She prepares everything in advance so we do not get late. She takes rest only when my father and I are not at home, and still, after taking some rest, she stays busy from afternoon till night in the preparation of lunch and dinner and looking after the household.

Fathers are a crucial component of every family. Fathers shape the sensitive brains of his children and help them grow so that they will be able to take care of their family in the future. My father is also of the same importance to me as my mother. The only difference is he works in an outside environment, but both of them are important in their respective areas. He is my hero of life. He wakes up early and leaves for the office to provide for our family. He works hard the whole day and returns in the evening. I cannot even imagine working this much everyday. Even being so busy, he manages his work and social life well. He takes out some time for the family from his busy schedule so that we do not feel lonely. Every weekend we go out to spend some quality family time together. I want to be like my father, and I am confident enough that if I listen to his life principles, I will live a well-organised and a happy life. He has a strong will and does not give up on a task. He motivates me to work hard in school and pursue my dreams. My dad is my best friend. I can discuss all of my worries and troubles with him.

A Stressful Month

During the first week of January 2022, my mother was ill. She had a high fever and was very weak. She was not permitted to get out of bed or perform any work. Her doctor advised ten days of rest while taking multivitamins and other medications. At that point, the atmosphere in the house had changed entirely, and I was really disturbed. There was no happiness or excitement. My father and I manage all home duties. To make the tasks more manageable for us to do, we divided them among us. My mother cared about the housework even while she was ill.

My respect for my mother grew that day as I realised how difficult it is to handle all the household duties alone. Until she fully recovered, I was by my mother's side, giving her the necessary medications. After a few days of full recovery, she is back to her regular schedule, and the atmosphere of the home has returned.

Key Points to Remember When Writing an Essay on ‘My Father’ for Lower Primary Classes

10 lines on ‘my father’ in english, short essay on ‘my father’, long essay on ‘my father’ for kids, what your 1st, 2nd or 3rd grader will learn from writing the essay.

Essay writing is a very important activity for the development of your child. And, some of the easiest topics they can write on can be about their families, such as an essay on ‘My Father’. When your child writes an essay, they first think about all the points related to the topic. Then, they express those thoughts on paper in short and simple sentences. This develops their thinking process, helps them learn the basics of grammar, and improves their writing skills and creativity. Also, for a child, their father is often the most important person in the child’s life, along with the mother. Therefore, the essay is bound to have a personal touch, which makes it indeed more special. Here are a few pointers that kids in Class 1, 2, and 3 can use to write an essay on ‘My Father’ and ensure their piece stands out.

Let us cover some main points that your child should consider while writing an essay on this topic:

  • The father’s name.
  • What the father does for a living.
  • What the father does at home.
  • How the father is with everyone at home.
  • How the father spends his off days.
  • The lessons the father gives the child.
  • The child’s bond with their father.

Besides the mother, the father is the most important person in a child’s life. The bonding between a father and child is a very special one. Below are ten lines on ‘My Father’ essay for Class 1 and Class 2.

  • My father’s name is Mr XYZ.
  • He is a businessman.
  • He is very organised and clean.
  • He is very loving and kind.
  • He is also very disciplined.
  • My father is hardworking.
  • He loves animals.
  • He loves plants.
  • He is very helpful and cooperative.
  • He motivates me.

As mentioned earlier, the father is a significant member of every family, and the child observes everything the father does. So, how can a child express their observation about their father? Through an essay, of course. Here’s an example for you.

My father’s name is Mr XYZ. He owns a business. He is passionate about his work. He is a well-organised person. He is punctual. My father does yoga every morning. He keeps everything clean in the house. He respects everyone. He is very hardworking. He takes care of all of us in the family. My father loves animals and helps them. He helps poor people also. My father is very kind. He is active throughout the day. He is courageous. When he sees anything wrong, he speaks up. He is a strict follower of honesty. He has principles, and he follows them. My father is the pillar of support and strength for our family. He is always there for us. He teaches us good manners. He is jolly and makes us laugh, too. My father is a very good person.

For a child, writing a long-form essay becomes easier when they have the points ready. Once your child has followed the tips given above, they can try their hand at writing a long essay, too. Here’s an example.

My father’s name is Mr XYZ. He owns a business. He is very passionate about his work. My father is also extremely punctual and well-organised. He encourages my brother and me to maintain time. He shows us how to keep our clothes, books, and stationery organised. My father is an honest man. He gives us examples of how honesty is the best policy. My father is active throughout the day. He says that laziness is our enemy.

My father takes care of my mother, brother, and my grandparents. He respects every person, whether they are adults or children. He obeys our grandparents with so much respect. He says that when he was a child, they took great care of him. So, now it is his turn to take care of them. He takes a lot of care of our furry friend, Julie, too. My brother and I accompany my father every night when he goes out to feed the strays in our community. He also gives grains to pigeons every morning. Sometimes some cows pass by, and we feed them. He says that animals cannot seek help because they cannot speak. So, humans must help them. My father also distributes blankets to homeless people every winter.

My father loves plants. Last year he encouraged us to collect seeds of all the mangoes we ate. Then we balled them with mud and stored them in a sack in the corner of our garden. Then one day, my father took us on a long drive. We stopped at intervals and threw those seeds far away. My father says that some of these seeds will grow into trees one day.

My father is a simple man. He says it’s always good to live a simple life. He helps my brother and me with our studies. He always motivates us. He motivates my mother to do well in her business, too. He never scolds us if we don’t do well in an exam. Instead, he motivates us and says that we should always give our hundred percent in the preparation, and after that, we should not be bothered about the results. My father also often says that mistakes are lessons. We should always learn from them and not repeat them. He helps my mother with all the household chores. He also helps her in the kitchen.

My father makes delicious food. The steamed dumplings he makes are my favourite. Every weekend he takes us for a picnic. My brother, Julie, and I have a lot of fun at the picnics. Whenever he gets some time, he also joins us when we play on our lawn. My father is our support system. My brother and I can discuss anything with him. He doesn’t scold us. If we do anything we shouldn’t do, he explains to us politely. My father is my superhero. I love my father.

I took my 2 toddlers into first class on a flight. Parents shouldn't be scared to do the same.

  • I took my twin 4-year-olds in first class on a trip to Florida.
  • It wasn't my original plane, but after having to change my flight, those were the only free seats.
  • No one batted an eye, and they got to eat cake and watch TV.

Insider Today

When my surgeon told me that after my ACL reconstruction surgery , I was going to have to delay my trip to Florida, I panicked. I had planned the whole trip so my twin daughters and I could fly together to spend some time in the sun with the grandparents.

I had to change my tickets, and when I checked the airline's website, the only three available were in first class .

I doubted whether it was crazy to take not only one toddler but two on first class, and what other passengers would think of us. I worried someone was going to be mean to me or them, especially since one of them would be flying across the aisle from me.

Turns out, no one cared, and we had a memorable flight .

I prepped them before the flight

My husband and our older child were sitting at the back of the plane, so I explained to the twins what was happening before boarding. I told them we had to be on our best behavior because they were probably going to be the only kids on that section of the plane and that Daddy wouldn't be able to come to sit with us.

To my surprise, they were not the only kids there. Another child around their age was sitting right in front of us, and a teen was further up front.

Related stories

They were excited about the big seats but, more importantly, about being able to watch endless shows on their tablets , as I had promised.

The flight attendant was so kind

Food was another thing I was nervous about. Being used to flying coach, I missed the window to order a toddler-appropriate lunch for them from the airline , so I knew we were stuck with whatever was left over. I made sure to have plenty of snacks to avoid meltdowns.

The flight attendant made sure they had enough cookies and warm nuts, and instead of giving them the full fancy meal, they got to eat cake for lunch. They were so thrilled.

She also helped me get both twins into the bathroom when it was time for a break and checked in with us several times throughout the flight.

They were better behaved than some of the adult passengers

I was worried about how they were going to behave and if people were going to treat us poorly after reading so many airline nightmare stories from other parents.

One of the twins was seated across the aisle from me and next to a stranger, and I was ready to jump into action if that passenger was rude to her. To my surprise, they didn't really care and laughed when my toddler kept asking for more cake without taking her eyes off the screen.

Other adult passengers around us were even worse behaved than my toddlers were, complaining when they needed to get up to let their seatmates use the restroom.

While I can't afford to fly in first class with my kids regularly (or ever again), this flight with them restored my faith that not all travelers are mean to kids and that parents and non-parents can coexist when up in the air.
