  • Pinterest Boards

Let’s dive in.

CHAPTER ONE Introducing the PowerPoint Vision Board

What is a powerpoint vision board.

PowerPoint Vision Board-making is a phenomenal way to make Vision Boards that get you into action or to vibrate higher so you enlist the law of attraction.

Making a PowerPoint presentation is the most versatile starting point for making digital/online Vision Boards as you can export them into all kinds of media and applications.

Check out digital vision board examples page on this website that can be made using PowerPoint.

I like to use them as guides for overall lifestyle design, but they also work well for specific goals. They are especially effective to shift your mindset away from an unwelcome barrage of negative or anxious thoughts.

Infographic Introducing PowerPoint Vision Boards

This kind of vision board making is immensely powerful because you can:

  • Completely customize your vision board
  • Design interesting layouts with words and images of your choosing
  • Easily change the content
  • Create books, presentations, videos, and social media boards (think Pinterest and Facebook) from them
  • Make them come to life with animation and music
  • Access them 24/7

What Is a Vision Board?

In case you don’t know what a vision board is you can read my vision board article or I can give you a quick version right now.

A Vision Board is a collection of images and words cut out from magazines that are glued to a rather large board depicting your most heartfelt wishes and desires.

The board should be set or hung in a prominent place so you can see it every day. Making a Vision Board helps you focus on what you want, and, seeing the Vision Board every day keeps you focused on what you want and helps you pull those things into your life.

powerpoint presentation on vision board

Now take this Vision Board concept and apply it to a slide presentation. Instead of cutting and pasting from magazines you cut and paste from images you find on the internet making an Online Vision Board .

Then instead of hanging your Vision Board on a wall you have a Vision Board on your laptop or mobile phone where you can see it anywhere at any time.

Benefits of a PowerPoint Vision Board

A PowerPoint presentation lends itself to making amazing Vision Board presentations. Options abound!

The layouts are interesting: you can make PowerPoint slides that have a single image, text, or text with an image, or make collages with an infinite variety of images and text.

The content can be completely freeform and random, or it can be very specific and pinpoint a particular goal.

Add animations and slide transitions for visual impact. Plus, by moving slides around, you get to identify your desires and intentions. Then, when you feel your PowerPoint Vision Board is finished, you can export it in a variety of ways as a video, book, or upload to make an Online Vision Board on your phone, or Pinterest, and/or Facebook.

How It All Started

I began using PowerPoint to make Vision Boards when I first transitioned to digital Vision Board creation (from old-school paper Vision Boards) back in the early 2000s. It felt like I was making an actual presentation to myself and to the Universe for the life I wanted. And, that’s exactly what I was doing. And, so should you: pitch your ideas to your subconscious mind! Pitch them often enough, and clearly enough, until the magic takes hold. Persuade your limiting beliefs that you can have a life you love!

CHAPTER TWO How to Make Your Very Own PowerPoint Vision Board

PowerPoint Vision Boards are Fun

Get Started on Your PowerPoint Vision Board

I suggest you start with a laptop or tablet to make the Vision Board, because it’s easier to store and access the images and ideas you collect as you search for cool online Vision Board content. This is custom content so you will want to have a lot of choices to try out before making a final selection.

Once you make your presentation you can put it on a mobile device and do edits on that directly to keep it fresh and make corrections. If you haven ‘t worked with PowerPoint, check out this link for basic tutorials to get you up and running. All you need to make your custom Vision Board is a basic grasp of PowerPoint. Later, you can learn animation and add sounds effects if you like, to give them more personality, sass, and pizzazz.

Free PowerPoint Vision Board Applications

Find the Best Version of PowerPoint for You

There are several FREE applications of PowerPoint and other applications that work like PowerPoint.

PowerPoint Online   is a free web-based version of PowerPoint. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles like the full-blown version, but you can make and share a presentation in no time and it’s free.

Google offers a free version as part of Google Docs called Google Slides .

If you have a Mac, you can use its version of PowerPoint called Keynote . It’s easy to grasp and use. The animation abilities in Keynote are wonderful and also easy to implement.

Where Is Your Vision Board Going to Live?

It’s good practice to design your Vision Board according to where you want to engage with it most of the time so you and your Vision prosper.

You can keep it in your initial PowerPoint program viewing it on your desktop or with any slide presentation mobile app. However, if you decide to create a Pinterest Vision Board, you have to resize the PowerPoint presentation so it is a more vertical presentation and easy to read in that application.

CHAPTER THREE Design Content and Layouts

Your vision board’s life purpose.

First deciding what kind of Vision Board you want is important if you use PowerPoint because your choice of content is infinite.

For example, you can make freeform or a focused Vision Board  — that is you can make a Vision Board that is a random collection of images and words that you love.  Or, you can make a Vision Board that is about a specific goal to inspire you to action, or a Vision Board to embed a specific new quality or belief you would like in your life.

Place Images in Folder

Gather Images and Words

When you are preparing to create your Vision Board, you want to put all your images into a folder and collect a dozen or more images so you have something to start your board with. Collect images  from Pinterest ,  Google , and royalty free image sites such as Canva , Unsplash and Pixaby . There are many websites that have quotes, affirmations and inspiring quotes that you can use for text too.

Find images and words that excite you or just make you feel good. Look through your own photos for images that have meaning to you or depict people or things for which you are grateful:  friendship, love, family, and beauty.

Basic Slide Layouts

PowerPoint has specific formats for slides in the app.  You can also create your own slide layouts by starting with a blank slide..  Type words directly into the slides, so as you search for content and you see words or phrases you want, just take note of them and enter them into your slideshow.

Assemble and Arrange Your Slides

More is more.  Make many slides of what you think you want. Then prioritize them after shuffling them around. That way, you can first go through the discovery process, then decide what you truly want by having all your options clearly displayed in front of you when you view PowerPoint in the slidenotes view. Using your emotional guidance you can determine from your heart what is authentically exciting.

For me, working with a PowerPoint presentation gets swirling (and sometimes conflicting) ideas out of my head and into the light of day so I can sort them out easily.

PowerPoint gives the gift of clarity and the framework to map out an actual path to what you want your life – or a specific goal – without getting bogged down in the “hows.” At least, not right away.

If movement and/or music speak to you, add animation and music when you’ve completed the presentation. Learn how music can add power and punch to your vision board viewing in this article about music for visualization.

Mobile PowerPoint Vision Board

CHAPTER FOUR Upload and Manifest

Export your vision board.

You can export your PowerPoint slides as image files, PDFs, video, or keep it in native PowerPoint program. Of course, you can create as many of these Vision Boards as you like. You can have the same presentation in different formats to be accessed in multiple programs or create several Vision Boards that are goal or topic-specific and access them accordingly.

Schedule Viewing Sessions and Routines

Sometimes you need a quick hit of inspiration. Sometimes you want to experience a long and relaxing visualization session.

The personalized media materials inside your PowerPoint Vision Board infuse you with powerful examples of your dream coming true. They also help you to…

  • Weed out and eliminate limiting beliefs and resistance around your goal or dream.
  • Complete the actions necessary to make this thing happen.
  • Open yourself to support from unknown and surprising sources.

To Activate your Vision Board(s):

1.    Make routines for different situations;

2.    Assemble your Vision Board viewings into routines and actual visualization sessions; and

3.    Develop best practices based on your schedule and how much material you want to engage with.

The times when you choose to visualize are intended for what you want to manifest or what is going on in your life. Often visualization is done in the morning and in the evening. These sessions are more of an overview of what you would like to see happen.

Try out a few specialized vision boards for anticipated moments when you need immediate inspiration or guidance. These are situational-specific vision boards as they drill down to very specific items that are time sensitive.

The Power of the PowerPoint Vision Board

Studies have shown that repetitive actions create new neural pathways and new habits. The DIY PowerPoint Vision Board is carefully crafted by you for your unique personality and situation.  As a result, it speaks directly to you. This is very powerful manifesting mojo.

Once you get better at creating and using your Vision Boards, you will discover a successful manifestation process that is uniquely yours—a process that you will repeat over and over again to succeed in any endeavor or facet of life.

This program is designed to keep you focused and feeling supported as you realize an intention that’s been lingering in your heart for a long time, yearning to be expressed. Custom PowerPoint Vision Boards provide the structure you need to consistently visualize, attract, and take action to make your dreams a reality.

Manifest Your Picture of the Future with a Vision Board

When it comes to your future, you might just need to see it to believe it. At least that’s the thinking behind creating your own personalized vision board.

Vision boards, sometimes also referred to as dream boards, are a visualization tool that can help you construct and clarify a view of your future—your hopes, goals, and aspirations—and help spur you to action. Whether for your professional or personal life, a vision board can be a productive mental exercise that not only helps you think creatively about your life’s possibilities but also provide you with direction and ideas to help manifest those possibilities you most desire.

How to Make a Vision Board

Creating your own personal vision board is ultimately a very simple practice—most of the difficulty might just be in carving out the time to focus your thoughts on the future. However, when you come to the table to make one, you’ll have two basic options: creating a physical or digital vision board.

Tell your story with captivating presentations Banner

Tell your story with captivating presentations

Powerpoint empowers you to develop well-designed content across all your devices

A physical vision board is basically a collage assembled from materials you might already have readily available. To get started, you’ll need a board of some kind, whether that’s a poster board or corkboard. You’ll also need some basic crafting materials like scissors, glue, and tape. If you’re using a corkboard, you will just need some pins or tacks. Last, and certainly not least, you will need a source for the images and words that you will add to your vision board. For this, a stack of your favorite magazines, some newspaper, or other media will do the trick.

For those that might want to skip the arts and crafts hour, a digital vision board can be just as effective—and even simpler. All you will need is an internet connection and the right place to compile your visions. A blank Word document works well for this and offers unlimited length for you to add and arrange material. Otherwise, you might turn to a subscription to a site like Pinterest or an app like Canva in which you can save and assemble your digital dream board.

From here, all you need is some time free from distractions so that you can focus on assembling your vision board with some concerted effort and a clear head.

Vision Board Ideas to Bring Your Future to Life

Once you’re ready to start vision boarding, there are virtually limitless directions you can go. Use these tips and vision board ideas to get started and you’ll be on your way in no time.

  • Get Goal-Oriented: Before you begin pulling in images, put some serious time into thinking about your goals. Consider what about your life you would like to maintain or change; where you would like to see yourself in, say, a year from now; as well as where you might journey to in the meantime. Is there a career change you’d finally like to make happen? A bucket-list trip you’re at last going to take? Even if you don’t have a wide range of concrete goals, you might have more mental aspirations. That is, your goals might to be achieve a new kind of peace of mind. Wherever it is that you want your future to take you physically, mentally, and spiritually, bring your biggest hopes and dreams to the fore as you look to shape your vision board.
  • Picture the Perfect Places, Things, or States of Mind: Search your materials, whether that’s magazines or the wide web, to find images that represent your goals. Maybe there’s a scenic sandy beach that you wish to visit soon—or maybe that beach just represents the headspace you’d like to find yourself in this year. Looking to get some reading done? Imagine what your perfect reading nook and put it on your vision board so that you can draw on that inspiration as you move forward.
  • Bring in Some Buzzwords: Support your vision of the future with some words of affirmation. Adding words to your vision board is perhaps best done with the help of physical magazines: Flipping through the pages of a publication to spot the various words and phrases that leap out at you can add a dash of serendipity to the process, sparking new thought processes and visions that you might not have considered without being prompted. No matter how you choose to find them though, you can create a word cloud that envelopes and supports the images on your vision board, which will provide an added source of motivation and accountability as you work to manifest your future.
  • Find Some Potent Quotes: Beyond these shorter words and phrases, it can also be helpful to find inspiring or thought-provoking quotes. Sometimes, even when it comes to your own personal future, others have said it best—or, at least, said it first. Adding quotes to your vision board can bring motivation or just give you ample material to ponder in the months ahead.

The best part of making a vision board is that the final form it takes is entirely up to you. Regardless of whether you go the physical or digital route, use your vision boarding exercise to focus on and capture what matters most to you, in whatever way that takes shape and however you see fit.

7 Steps to Create a PowerPoint Vision Board (even if you’re not tech-savvy)

7 Steps to Create a PowerPoint Vision Board (even if you’re not tech-savvy)

powerpoint presentation on vision board

We’ve become used to doing everything online since covid, including our goal setting, visualizing and dreaming. Many of my vision board workshop attendees started asking how to create their vision boards online as a result.

You can create a vision board using only PowerPoint and google search. The most important step to this method is deciding on your goals and using a wide variety of search terms to gather the images to support your goals.

In this article, I’ll show you how to create a digital vision board using PowerPoint.

Decide on the goals you want to accomplish this year.

When many people sit to create a vision board, they start with a pie-in-the-sky goal that they’ve seen on social media and thought “I’d wish I could do that!” In reality, you want to set goals that are inspired by your personal desires and what you want to create in your life.

Focus on things that you would naturally be drawn to if you didn’t have input from the world around you through social media.

Before you begin looking for any images, ask yourself the following questions to inspire a variety of goals and clarity in what you really want by the end of the year.

What do you want to accomplish?

This question requires you to think about what end result you want to achieve to help you set tangible goals.

How do you want to feel?

If you could choose how you feel throughout your days, what feeling would you choose? Thinking about your feelings will help you create a world that aligns with your internal narrative.

For example, you can incorporate more time with family and friends into your vision to feel more love and closeness to others.

What do you want to have?

Many people set goals to have tangible items or positions by the end of the year. That could look like purchasing your first or next home, your dream car, a target credit score or new career position.

Search Google for images and quotes to match your goals.

Google is the best place to find images quickly to fill your vision board. Once you have a sense of the goals you want to accomplish, head over to Google and search for images.

Right before you start your search, close your eyes and imagine what it would look like for you to accomplish the goals you wrote down. Once you have a clear mental picture of yourself in your version of a successful future, google specific search terms to find images and words that represent that mental image you created.

For example, instead of just googling “money goals” you can search for backyard family fun, debt payoff, debt free, new home, savings accounts or the specific number that you want to save. This will be more specific to the outcomes you want to achieve.

Here’s a video on how to find quality images for your vision board.

Don’t limit yourself to images alone. Be sure to also google quotes and any words that you thought would symbolize your feelings and achievements. This will make sure you have some variety in your final vision board.

In addition to Google, you can also use the same searches on Pinterest, Stock Photo Sites. You can even search Instagram and grab images from your favorite accounts and hashtags.

Save images from Google to your computer Desktop.

Save the images you like onto your desktop.

Don’t worry about saving the absolute best images at this point. Save anything that will fit with the goals you’re setting this year. You can always delete images when you’re closer to completing your vision board.

You can easily save the images from Google:

Click on the image you like.

Right click the image.

Click “Save Image” in the menu.

Click “Desktop” in your file explorer.

Click “Save”.

The image will save directly to your desktop. You won’t be able to use the image if it’s not an image file (images will end in .JPEG, .JPG or .PNG). If the image you like is a different format, you can follow these steps:

Open snipping tool (on PC) or grab (on Mac)

Right click the image you want and select “Open in new window” to make the image larger.

Use your snipping or grab tool to select the image.

Name your image and click “Save” to save the image to your desktop.

Add your images to a single PowerPoint slide.

Now that you have a collection of images right on your desktop, you can drag them right onto a blank PowerPoint slide.

You’ll notice that most of the images are very large once you add them to your PowerPoint slide. Simply drag the corners of the image diagonally towards the middle of the image to make them smaller.

You can also crop your images by double clicking on them, clicking “crop” in the menu bar under “Format”.

I’m often asked whether you should put your vision board on many slides or one single slide.

You can do it in whatever way feels good for you, but I highly recommend creating your entire vision board on a single slide that way you have all your goals in one place and you don’t have too many places to look for your goals.

Additionally, if you were to print out your vision board or set it as your screensaver, you have all your goals on one image.

Here’s the vision board I created in PowerPoint.

powerpoint presentation on vision board

Format your completed Slide Vision Board.

I generally prefer to group similar goals and mix up my images and quotes/words on the board. I find it really beautiful when I don’t have too many words right next to each other or images right next to each other. I like bright colors and every shade of pink so you’ll notice that common theme throughout my vision board.

Once you’ve arranged all of your images, review your choices and make a final decision on whether these are the right goals for you.

Save the PowerPoint Slide and set it as your desktop background.

Looking at your goals daily will keep your goals top of mind with no additional effort on your part. I recommend saving your vision board as your desktop screensaver.

Before you create your screensaver, you’ll have to save your slide as an image:

Click “File”.

Click “Save As”.

Click the drop-down menu labeled “Save as Type”.

Click “PNG Portable Network Graphics Format”.

Name your file.

Click Save.

Now you can set your vision board as your desktop screensaver by following these steps:

Open your image in the image viewer.

Click the three dots in the right hand corner (on PC).

Click “Set As”.

Click “Set as Background” to make your vision board your computer background.

Optional: Remove all of the images from your desktop to view your vision board.

Another option to keep your digital vision board in view is to email it to yourself and set it as your phone screensaver or lock screen.

Print the PowerPoint Slide for a physical vision board.

The biggest complaint I’ve seen about digital vision boards is that the creator doesn’t get the full benefit of the board because they don’t see it daily. Digital vision boards almost disappear into a saved folder somewhere are are never viewed again.

To bring you digital vision board into the real world, simply print out the vision board. You can put it in a photo frame and hang it in a wall or put it on your desk.

Your digital vision board will be your constant reminder of what you wanted to accomplish this year, what you wanted to include and how to you want to feel. You can use your vision board to decide on what you’d like to say “yes” to, what people and events to actively pursue and stay on track with your goals.

Product details

You have spent time developing a mission and vision for your business, and you have a detailed strategic plan for making those things happen. Many business owners are also using vision boards as a tool to bring their company closer to success. What is a vision board? A vision board, sometimes called a dream board, uses words and images to create a visual representation of important concepts or goals. They can be created using a variety of methods and materials. Essentially, vision boards help you to see your success and get a clear picture of where you want to go. If you decide to create a visualization of your goals for your business or company, then be sure to use the Vision Board Template.

On the first slide of the template, you can include information about the problems your product solves, key goals, customer needs, and the finished product. A detailed description will allow you to always understand where you are going and what goals you are pursuing. Many business owners claim that visualizing goals has helped them achieve rapid business growth. Every day you will see your dream and this will motivate you to work harder and more efficiently. The second slide gives you the opportunity to describe the vision of your company – what it should eventually become. Below you can indicate intermediate goals that will help you achieve the final result. This slide can be used to present the company’s corporate values, mission, and vision to employees. Also, directors of companies can include this slide in their annual income statement. The next slide allows you to describe your vision in more detail and indicate the factors that influence the process of achieving this goal. For example, you can describe target groups, competitors, products, sales channels, business goals. If necessary, you can easily change the names of the factors and add this slide to your previous presentation. For example, include this slide in your action plan or business proposal. The fourth slide shows the interaction between tactical action, your strategic action, and vision. As you can see from the infographics, vision shapes strategic actions, which in turn shape tactical ones. This slide can be used in marketing analysis. The slide can also be useful for advertising specialists. They can show the reach of the audience of the ad through various media channels.

Vision Board Template draws the audience’s attention with bright infographics and the arrangement of information blocks. With small changes, these slides can be combined with other templates. You can copy and transfer the finished infographic to your other slides. Many companies practice the practice of placing their vision and mission in a visible place for employees. It really motivates employees when they understand what is expected of them and what standards they need to meet. This template will be useful when preparing presentations for investors. This template can also be used when developing a new sales strategy to convey to your team new principles of working with the client.

Vision PowerPoint Presentation

A vision PowerPoint presentation serves as a powerful tool to communicate a company's or an individual's vision in a visually appealing and persuasive manner. It allows presenters to showcase their aspirations, goals, and future direction using a combination of impactful content, engaging visuals, and effective design. In this article, we will explore the key elements of an effective vision PowerPoint presentation, discuss tips for creating an impactful presentation, provide best practices for optimizing it, and offer advice on engaging the audience throughout the presentation.

Introduction

In today's fast-paced world, effective communication is essential to convey a clear and compelling vision. A vision PowerPoint presentation enables individuals and organizations to articulate their long-term objectives, inspire stakeholders, and align their teams towards a common goal. By leveraging the power of visual storytelling, a well-crafted vision PowerPoint presentation can capture attention, evoke emotions, and leave a lasting impression on the audience.

Elements of an Effective Vision PowerPoint Presentation

To create an effective vision PowerPoint presentation, several key elements need to be considered. These elements ensure that the presentation is engaging, informative, and memorable.

The content of a vision PowerPoint presentation should be clear, concise, and to the point. It should focus on the main message and avoid unnecessary jargon or technical terms. A compelling vision statement, supported by concise and impactful text, helps convey the desired vision effectively.

Visual elements play a crucial role in capturing the audience's attention and conveying the vision effectively. Engaging visuals, such as relevant images, icons, and charts, can enhance the presentation and make it more visually appealing. Infographics and diagrams can be used to simplify complex concepts and data, making them easier to understand.

Maintaining consistency in design and layout throughout the presentation enhances its visual appeal and professionalism. Consistent color schemes, font styles, and slide layouts create a cohesive visual experience and make the presentation visually appealing. A clean and uncluttered design

Typography plays a significant role in conveying information and setting the tone of a vision PowerPoint presentation. Choosing appropriate fonts and font sizes that are easy to read and align with the overall design is crucial. Consistency in font usage across slides helps maintain a professional and cohesive look.

Supporting the vision with relevant data and statistics adds credibility and strengthens the message. Incorporating charts, graphs, and numerical figures can help illustrate key points and provide a visual representation of progress or future projections.

Structuring a Vision PowerPoint Presentation

Structuring the presentation in a logical and coherent manner is essential to guide the audience through the vision journey. Here is a suggested structure for a vision PowerPoint presentation:

  • Introduction Slide : Begin with a captivating introduction slide that grabs the audience's attention and sets the tone for the presentation.
  • Vision Statement Slide : Clearly state the vision and its significance. This slide should convey the overarching goal or purpose.
  • Supporting Points and Examples : Present supporting points or key pillars that define and reinforce the vision. Use examples or case studies to demonstrate how the vision aligns with real-life scenarios.
  • Future Goals and Aspirations : Share the future goals and aspirations that the vision aims to achieve. Paint a vivid picture of the desired future state.
  • Call to Action Slide : Conclude the presentation with a call to action that motivates the audience to take steps towards realizing the vision. Encourage them to get involved, contribute, or support the vision in some way.

Tips for Creating an Impactful Vision PowerPoint Presentation

Crafting an impactful vision PowerPoint presentation requires careful planning and attention to detail. Here are some tips to help you create a presentation that resonates with your audience:

  • Know Your Audience : Understand the needs, interests, and expectations of your audience. Tailor your content and messaging accordingly to make it relevant and relatable.
  • Tell a Compelling Story : Use storytelling techniques to engage your audience emotionally. Weave a narrative that captures their imagination and connects them to the vision on a personal level.
  • Use Strong and Positive Language : Choose words and phrases that convey confidence, optimism, and enthusiasm. Positive language inspires and motivates the audience to embrace the vision.
  • Utilize Multimedia Elements : Incorporate multimedia elements such as videos, audio clips, or animations to make the presentation more dynamic and engaging. However, use them judiciously to avoid overwhelming the audience.
  • Practice and Rehearse : Prepare thoroughly and rehearse your presentation multiple times. This will help you deliver it confidently, maintain a smooth flow, and effectively engage the audience.

Best Practices for Optimizing a Vision PowerPoint Presentation

Optimizing your vision PowerPoint presentation for maximum impact requires attention to both design and technical aspects. Here are some best practices to follow:

  • Use Keywords and Phrases : Incorporate relevant keywords and phrases related to your vision throughout the presentation. This can help improve search engine visibility and make it easier for others to find and share your presentation.
  • Optimize Slide Titles and Headings : Craft descriptive and concise slide titles and headings that capture the essence of each slide. This not only helps organize the presentation but also improves its searchability and accessibility.
  • Include Relevant Links and References : If applicable, provide links or references to additional resources or supporting materials related to your vision. This allows the audience to delve deeper into the subject matter and reinforces the credibility of your presentation.
  • Add Alt Text to Images and Graphics : For accessibility purposes, provide alternative text descriptions for images and graphics used in the presentation. This ensures that visually impaired audience members can still understand the content through screen readers or other assistive technologies.
  • Optimize File Size for Quick Loading : Compress images and minimize the file size of your PowerPoint presentation to ensure quick loading times. This helps prevent delays or technical issues during the presentation and ensures a seamless experience for your audience.

Engaging the Audience During a Vision PowerPoint Presentation

Engaging the audience is crucial to captivate their attention and make a lasting impact with your vision PowerPoint presentation. Here are some techniques to actively involve your audience:

  • Maintain Eye Contact : Establish eye contact with your audience to create a connection and convey confidence. Engage individuals by looking at them directly, making them feel included in the presentation.
  • Speak Clearly and Enthusiastically : Articulate your words clearly and project your voice with enthusiasm. A confident and enthusiastic delivery keeps the audience engaged and attentive.
  • Encourage Participation and Questions : Foster interaction by encouraging questions, comments, or discussions throughout the presentation. This promotes a sense of involvement and allows for a deeper exploration of the vision.
  • Use Gestures and Body Language : Utilize appropriate gestures and body language to enhance your message. Movement and gestures can help emphasize key points and make the presentation more dynamic.
  • Incorporate Interactive Elements : Incorporate interactive elements such as polls, quizzes, or group activities to actively involve the audience. This not only breaks the monotony but also encourages active participation and reflection.

In conclusion, a well-crafted vision PowerPoint presentation is a powerful tool for communicating and inspiring others with your vision. By incorporating clear and concise content, engaging visuals, and a consistent design, you can effectively convey your message and leave a lasting impression on your audience. Remember to optimize your presentation for search engines, engage your audience through interactive techniques, and deliver your presentation with confidence and enthusiasm. With these tips and best practices in mind, you can create a compelling vision PowerPoint presentation that inspires others to join you in realizing your vision.

How to Create a Vision Statement and Present it to the World

How to create a Vision Statement and Present it to the world

If you are running a company, at some point you are going to need to present your vision for it. That means explaining to others why you are doing what you do and which things you aspire to pursue in the future. In short, that’s the purpose of having a corporate vision statement. In this post, we’ll examine why a powerful mission statement is a defining characteristic of the most innovative global companies, what is the purpose of creating one, and how you should approach the writing and presentation.

What is a Vision Statement?

A vision statement is a future-oriented, idealistic summary of your company’s goals. This corporate document is intended to help rally the workforce around the shared goals and helps the company formalize its differentiated position among the competition. Additionally, vision statements double as a tool for actualizing the company’s potential impact on the world.

A vision statement attempts to answer the following questions

  • Where do we aspire to be in the future?
  • What problem are we solving for the greater good?
  • What sort of change are we promoting?

Mission Statement vs Vision Statement — What are The Differences?

The two terms — vision and company mission statement — are often used interchangeably by business leaders. However, they stand for someone different things.

  • A vision statement is more future-oriented and focuses on communicating what the organization wishes to become in the future.
  • Mission statements are more rooted in the day-to-day work and showcase what the organization already does.

Companies need to have both types of documents because execution without a grander vision, rarely leads to truly big results.

Mission and Vision Statement Template by SlideModel

The Purpose of a Vision Statement

Vision provides a focus for teams and encourages innovation . A company with a strong vision understands how success looks for them and can adjust its day-to-day actions to reach that state faster.

A company vision statement codifies those aspirations so that it’s easier to communicate them to both internal and external stakeholders .

Internally, vision and purpose statements serve as a powerful tool for motivating and engaging the employees. As PwC data suggests, in companies with clearly defined and communicated value and visitation statements employees tend to be:

  • 63% more motivated
  • 65% more passionate about the work they do

Also, 90% of such purpose-led companies tend to drive growth and profits at or above the industry average.

Gallup data also suggests that there’s a direct link between employees’ understanding of their company’s identity and important corporate KPIs. A 10% improvement in the connection between employees and the mission or purpose of the organization could result in:

  • 12.7% reduction in safety incidents
  • 8.1% decrease in turnover
  • 4.4% increase in profitability

Finally, a vision statement also serves as a strong differentiator for brands. Your vision statement facilitates communicating your position to business stakeholders and reassures them that you are steering the business in the right direction.

How to Write a Vision Statement in 3 Steps

Vision statement sounds like a lofty, somewhat pretentious document, right? But that’s only on the surface level. In reality, a company or project vision statement is a compact summary (about a paragraph max) of the core company’s activities and aspirations.

Here are three core steps to help you write one:

1. Prepare

Most leaders do not include many people in the process of defining their company’s vision, purpose, and direction. That’s a big mistake since homogenous groups tend to be less creative and more prone to various cognitive biases.

That’s why it’s best to involve more than just the leadership in the creation of your mission statement. By involving people at different levels in meaningful visioning sessions you can uncover new perspectives, ideas, aspirations, causes to pursue. What’s more important, such sessions can help determine where your people (and organization respectively) currently excel.

That’s an important bit of knowledge because leaders who are focused on leveraging their teams’ strengths experience :

  • 14% to 29% increase in profit
  • 3% to 7% increase in customer engagement
  • 9% to 15% increase in employee engagement

2. Brainstorm

To make the most out of each visioning session, keep it structured and standard. The most productive way to lead such discussions is by posing the following questions to every group of participants

  • What ultimate impact do we want to have on the community, the industry, or the world?
  • How would you define or business culture? How does the company make you feel in your day-to-day?
  • What type of ‘unfair advantage’ do we have when compared to the competition?
  • How do we plan to improve the lives of our customers?

Vision Statement Presentation

Source: SlideModel.com

Look for recurring replies and themes in the teams’ answers. Analyze how the voices out suggestions align with your core company values and current mission.  Formalize a set of goals and core company purpose(s) to work with.

3. Write and Reiterate

Take all the ideas from the brainstorming sessions and try to formalize them into a set of sample vision statements. Be conscious and on-point. Aim for two to four full sentences.

In each statement aspire to be:

  • Visionary/inspirational
  • Future-oriented
  • Challenging

Share that preliminary set of vision statements with your team(s) and ask for their feedback. Then reiterate and punch-up the best-rated ones. It’s alright if you don’t arrive at the perfect vision statement from the first attempt. Settle for a ‘good enough’ option that appeals the most to your people and get back to the writing board later on when your corporate priorities evolve once again.

Vision Statement Examples

Need some inspiration to get going? Here are vision statement examples from well-known companies:

Amazon Vision Statement

Our vision is to be earth’s most customer-centric company; to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online.

Apple Vision Statement

“We believe that we are on the face of the earth to make great products and that’s not changing. We are constantly focusing on innovating. We believe in the simple, not the complex. We believe that we need to own and control the primary technologies behind the products that we make and participate only in markets where we can make a significant contribution.”

The above version was shared with the Apple investors in 2009 by Tim Cook, then COO.

Nike Vision Statement 2021

Nike Vision Statement example from website

“Bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete* in the world. *If you have a body, you are an athlete.”

Google Vision Statement 2021

Our mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.

Starbucks Vision Statement

To inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time.

Tesla Vision Statement 2021

Tesla’s vision in 2021 is to:

Create the most compelling car company of the 21st century by driving the world’s transition to electric vehicles.

How to Present Your Vision to an Audience

Mission and Vision and Values PowerPoint template

Mission, Vision, and Values Slides for PowerPoint by SlideModel

A purpose statement has a dual purpose:

  • Articulates the company’s goals
  • Motivates the employees and other stakeholders

In this section, we’d like to focus more on the latter — presenting your vision statement template to an audience.

Why should you explain your vision to an audience? Because people like to dream things and a vision statement presentation makes it easier for them to imagine the future to-be state and aspire to it. In that sense, the goal of your presentation is to ‘sell your vision’ to the audience to make them vested in the same purpose as you do.

1. Set the Scene

Want to instantly set the right tone and capture the group’s attention? Here’s how you should start your presentation :

  • Open with a provocative statement
  • Use a bold number or curious statistics
  • Ask a “what if” question

After you’ve secured the attention, go on and set the scene. Explain why you feel that it’s important to talk about your company’s vision today and how you came about to formalize it.

2. Present a Solution Within Your Vision

Your aspirational idea may not immediately resonate with all the stakeholders. And that’s okay. Some people need ‘logical reasons’ to be sold on some concept. So explain how your vision will help your company solve a particular problem in the market.

For example, in their vision statement, Lego says that they don’t just sell toys. They strive for “the development of children’s creativity through play and learning.”

powerpoint presentation on vision board

3. Explain How You’ll Deliver on Your Goals

A vision statement denotes your key corporate goals and ambitions. But company stakeholders, especially investors, will wonder how you are going to hit those targets. Of course, you have a lot of other documents and policies, specifying that. But it’s still worth briefly mentioning how you plan to act upon your vision.

In the Apple example, Tim Cook drew attention to the fact that Apple planned to stay in control of their primary tech and focus on high-impact markets to reach their goals.

4. Sum Up By Sharing Your Current Priorities

To conclude the visionary part of your presentation and transition to talking about the company’s mission and current plans, state what you plan to start doing today to reach the stated aspirations. Explain:

  • How do you plan to usher growth?
  • What organizational changes you are planning to pursue?
  • Which new channels do you plan to explore for business development?

Provide the audience with concrete examples, so that they leave the presentation with a solid understanding of where your company’s moving, how you plan to get there, and what action is required from them at this stage.

How to Create A Vision Board With Your Kids

A vision board can be a great tool to help children plan—and manifest—their dreams and goals. Here's how to help your kids create one for the new year.

Vision boards are a great way to bring your dreams to life in bright, bold colors. This creative activity is a wonderful way to teach children the link between our thoughts and our reality—and to help them create a growth mindset and positive outlook. A vision board also gives the tiniest members of the family a way to honor their unique ideas and aspirations about life, and gives them a voice through photos and other visual cues.

What Is a Vision Board?

At its most basic, a vision board is a collage of images that help us focus on goals, dreams, and ambitions. But the magic of creating one—and keeping it front and center—can help us manifest our greatest ambitions. Teaching kids to visualize their hopes at a young age can set them up for success for the future.

As we head into the holiday season and the end of yet another new year , it is important for us to show gratitude for the things we currently have in our lives alongside manifesting our future goals and resolutions . To spark the inspiration of inviting our dreams into our reality, consider vision boards as a fun family activity to spark the magic of manifestation within your children.

Why Are Vision Boards Beneficial for Kids?

“Vision boards are a powerful way to get clear about what we want, to build our confidence in seeking it out, and to identify concrete and tangible symbols of our desires that we can use to mark success when we attain it,” says Dr. Dinorah Nieves , a behavioral scientist, counselor, and coach.

This visual representation of our desires and aspirations has been used by world-renowned celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, who created a vision board with a photo of Barack Obama and the dress she would wear to his inauguration before he was elected to his first term in office. Her good friend, and then soon-to-be First Lady, Michelle Obama was the one who inspired her to do it.

“I created a vision board,” she told Power 105.1’s Ed Lover Morning Show on November 4, 2008, the day of the presidential election. “I got me a board and put Barack Obama’s picture on it and I put a picture of my dress I want to wear to the inauguration.”

Sharing stories like these with your children can excite them to put their own vision into action with boards that represent their desires and goals. Vision boards can help them feel more confident in expressing their own ideas about life and where they see themselves going in the future. Vision boards can be created digitally, but there is something powerful about creating one with your hands and a variety of materials that feel aligned with individual objectives.

A Step-By-Step Guide to Creating A Vision Board

Here’s a step-by-step approach to creating vision boards with your children in a fun-creative way:

Intention Setting

To get started, make each step in the process an opportunity to set an intention. After explaining what a vision board is to your children, ask them what they would like to create and why. What is a dream they would like to see come true in the next year or so?

Visual Meditation

Before setting out to get supplies for the vision board, engage your children in a short, 1- to 3-minute visualization meditation .

Sit together in a circle on the living room floor, outside, or wherever you feel most comfortable. Then ask your kids to close their eyes and dream big about something they want to call into their lives within the next year.

After a minute or so, ask them to gently open their eyes and keep whatever came to mind safe in their heart as you begin gathering the materials they need to bring that vision to life. You can even go around the circle and share what each of you saw.

Strengthening Your Intuition

As your children choose the materials they’d like to use, tell them to tap into their intuition—that little voice inside that helps to guide them. They can do this by looking at the supplies and gravitating toward the ones that feel right.

Whether it’s colorful paper, string, glitter, or stickers , give them the space to connect their feelings and emotions to the materials of their choice. Ask them, “Which materials are speaking to you? Which ones are saying, ‘Choose me!’”

These could be materials bought in a store or even things found in nature like flowers, leaves, and twigs.

Use Old Magazines and Newspaper to Spark New Ideas

Grab that stack of old magazines and newspapers, if you have any, and make it fun for the children to flip through the pages and cut out anything that gravitates to them. This could be words, photos, a splash of color on the page, or anything that coincides with the intentions they set. They can begin by simply ripping out the pages and then take time in cutting out the sections that will be added to their board.

Create Your Vision Board

With intentions set, materials intuitively selected, and the visual prompts needed to bring it altogether, the children can begin creating their vision board, using their imagination and intuition to collage the pieces together.

Use glue sticks to strategically place the materials on the board. Instruct them to have fun with it and fill the board as much as possible with everything they envision for their future over the next 12 months and beyond.

Display Your Vision Board—And Let the Magic Do Its Work!

It’s a good idea to have your vision board somewhere easily visible. While you don’t want to think about what goals you set all day, every day, it’s a nice reminder when you see your vision board consistently. Maybe your child would like to hang their vision board in their room. Or create a family vision board wall or gallery where all of your dreams and goals can be displayed all together.

Ideally, you want to keep the vision boards up for the entire year. Then have your children take a look at what they created and see how many of their dreams came to fruition. This will spark an inspiration in them to continue dreaming big and being confident that the dreams that align with them will become reality.
