The opinion seeking behavior of people for good decision making has greatly enhanced the importance of social media as a platform for exchange of information. This trend has led to a sudden spurt of information overflow on the Web. The huge volume of such information has to be technically processed for segregating the relevant knowledge. Sentiment analysis is the popular method extensively used for this purpose. It is defined as the computational study of mining the opinions from the available content about the entity of interest. Existing Sentiment analysis techniques quite efficiently capture opinions from text written in syntactically correct and explicit language. However, while dealing with the informal data, limitation has been observed in performance of sentiment analysis techniques. With a view to deal with the imperfect and indirect language used by the netizens, it has become necessary to work on improvement in the existing sentiment analysis techniques. In this regard, the conventional sentiment analysis techniques have shown some improvement on applying the appropriate context information. However, still there is ample scope for further research to find the relevant “context” and applying it to a given scenario. This systematic literature review paper intends to explore and analyze the existing work on the context-based sentiment analysis and to report gaps and future directions in the said research area.

The opinion seekers find this available information quite convenient and attractive. Such information is being used for their specific purpose be it business, social, educational or entertainment. However, the main difficulty lies in the analysis of such information for relating the same to the intended objective of the user. The key to meet such requirement lies in sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis is a process of systematic computational analysis of opinions, sentiments and emotions expressed in the text [29]. Such analysis is designed to detect the subjective information contained in the text and to discern the conviction of the author on an issue or the full text. The term subjectivity is a keyword in the whole process of sentiment analysis (SA). It is described as the linguistic expression of somebody‘s o

If you want to learn how to build a PowerPoint about technology, you're in the perfect place. Let's examine the process of creating technology PowerPoint slides using tech PowerPoint templates.

"Change has never happened this fast before, and it will never be this slow again.”
This quote is attributed to many (most notably to Graeme Wood. ) It's also the perfect way to describe technology. Continually evolving and shaping our modern world, technology is in everything we do. That's why technology presentations can be so important.

Make a PowerPoint About Technology
Technology is so ubiquitous that it can be hard to nail down an exact definition. I like the description offered by Brittanica , "the application of scientific knowledge to the practical aims of human life." Technology brings research to life in useful ways.
Technology is a broad subject. There are so many ways to cover it! Maybe you want to talk about a breakthrough in artificial intelligence. Or you want to talk about a new programming language that makes coding more accessible.
No matter what part of technology you're covering, a few design principles are universal to creating a captivating technology presentation. Here are three principles you can use for an excellent technology presentation:
- Talk about trends . Technology is evolving so rapidly that it's easy to lose sight of how paradigms are shifting. Speak about those macro trends, giving day-to-day examples.
- Paint a portrait of the future . Show your audience what they can look forward to. Devote slides to also forecasting how technology will continue to evolve.
- Use images and illustrations . Some technology presentation ideas are more conceptual. For those ideas, it helps to use pictures and illustrations that give visual meaning to big ideas.
The success of all presentations on technology hinges upon the written content you include. Use this article to learn more about the writing process. Discover a structured set of steps that can help you create great content.

This tutorial will help you create a PowerPoint about technology that follows these principles. Read on to become a master technology presenter.
How to Make a PowerPoint About Technology
You might be wondering: how can you use a technology PPT to create your presentation?
In this section, we'll customize a few technology PowerPoint slides. We're going to work with the ga-analytics#sendElementsClickEvent"> Cyberspace Technology presentation template . I've chosen it because its designs are perfect for technology PowerPoint slides thanks to its use of modern principles.

Let's walk through creating three technology PowerPoint slides. You'll see that technology slide templates are sufficiently flexible to your specific purpose:
1. The Tech Team Slide

Sometimes, the focus of technology PowerPoint slides should be the people behind the technology presentation ideas. Many technological breakthroughs are the result of fantastic collaboration and hard-working inventors. Why not create a slide to focus on it?
Slide 10 is perfect for focusing on the team behind the tech. Let's customize this people-centric technology slide in three steps:
- Update images . Click on the image placeholders and browse to your team's headshots.
- Update the text . Each of the text boxes are easy to click inside of and type over with your specifics.
- Update the common branding . We'll need to adjust the Slide Master to do this. Read on to find out how.
You might find that you can't select some aspects on the slide, like the logo or the site URL in the corner of the slide. That's because these items are on the Slide Master, the underlying slide design.
The advantage of the Slide Master is that it controls many slide designs. So, it's easy to update all slides at the same time. Go to the View > Slide Master menu option to adjust the shared design details.

That's it! You've set up an eye-catching slide that gives credit where due. Your team will appreciate it, and your audience will get to know the team.

2. The Image-Focused Slide

Every presenter needs a few "general purpose" slides in their toolbelt. That's what slide 23 is perfect for.
Slides like this are perfect because they work for practically any purpose. Any time that you want to focus on an image and balance it with a bit of info, consider using this slide.
Again, a few tweaks can completely transform this slide:
- Add your image . Click in the placeholder on the right side. Then browse to a technology-centric image.
- Adjust the detail boxes . There are four boxes that you can use to add more detail. Type over the " Option " text and update the icons (more on that below.) Also, I moved all four boxes up to not overlap the images.
- Update text . Type over the main text boxes to complete the slide.
One bonus for this technology PowerPoint template is the included set of icons. In your download, you'll find a separate PowerPoint file that's full of icons. I used one of the icons in this presentation and copied and pasted it into my technology presentation.

That's it! You've completed an excellent looking technology PowerPoint slide with a soft sales angle.

3. The Device Mockup Slide

When many people think about technology, they might think of how they use it in their day-to-day life. That includes the smartphone apps that they turn to for convenience and answers.
Slide 34 is the perfect way to show off a new app or mobile website. It's a real-world mockup, and it's easy to add your screenshot. Let's see three steps you can use to craft this slide:
- Device mockup . Click the image icon and browse to a screenshot you capture in your app.
- Type over text . Type in the text boxes to add your specifics.
- Cut down on text . Make sure that your finished slide has fewer text elements to make it easier for your audience to focus.

4. Product Pricing Slide

When creating a presentation on technology, a product pricing slide is important. An important part of presenting a product is the pricing. Pricing determines if people want to buy your product. Slide 15 is a good option for product pricing. You can customize this slide in two simple steps:
- Add product image . This template has a picture placeholder, so adding an image is easy. Click on the Insert Picture from File . A file finder appears. Find the image file and double click. Now your product image is on the slide.
- Update the text . Start by highlighting the text. Press Delete on your keyboard to get rid of unwanted text. Next, add the text that you want.

5. Product Features Slide

If you're presenting a PowerPoint presentation on new technology, include the product's features. Slide 19 is a great slide to add the product features to. Here’s how to add your product features.
- Replace the text . Erase the text that’s there. Highlight the text and press Delete . Type in your product information.
- Add another feature box . Copy the box and paste it where you want. Next, add a new text box. Start by clicking on the Insert tab. Next, click on the Text Box button in the toolbar.

6. Pie Chart Slide

Another important slide in your technology presentation is the data slide. One if the data slides is slide 42. This slide is a pie chart. Here’s how to customize this slide:
- Add your data . Double click on the pie chart. A Chart Design tab appears when you double click on the pie chart. A sidebar also appears on the right side of your screen. In the sidebar, use the Angle of First Slice section to adjust your pie slice on the pie chart.
- Edit the pie chart data . Click on the Edit Data in Excel button in the toolbar. Add your data to the spreadsheet that pops up. This adjusts the chart on your slide.
- Add your information . Replace the text that comes on the slide. Then, add the information that explains the data on the slide.

7. Timeline Slide

Include a timeline in your presentation about technology. People are going to want to know when it launches. Slide 44 is a great option for a timeline. Here are two steps you can follow to customize this slide:
- Add your own text . Adding information about the expected product launch is essential. Highlight the text that you want to remove, and press Delete on your keyboard. Next, click inside the textbox and begin typing your own text.
- Add an image . Click on the Insert Picture from file button to add an image to the timeline. To change the size of the picture holder, click on the grey line outside the Insert Picture from File button. Use the handles to adjust the size of the picture placeholder.

presentation about technology
presentation about technology , contains all the information about technology and how it evolved ,all this will be found here in the presentation about technology . You will find an introduction and a conclusion to the presentation. All you need to do is attach the content to the illustrations and use PowerPoint.
presentation about technology
Technology is indispensable in the life of every human being and here we will learn about its importance and benefits in the presentation about technology in English.
- Introduction
Hello … My name is … I will present to you today a theme about technology , I hope you will like it. I will answer all questions in the end with pleasure.
The advent of modern technology has made great changes in our contemporary life, Man before technology did not know much of the modern means in his life, but was based on simple primitive tools in everything.
History shows how primitive man used stones in the fire used to cook food and so on, Wood was also used in the manufacture of spears for hunting animals and other primitive methods.
And then over the years, these methods gradually developed until we reached the peak of technological progress in our time, where technology knocked people and stormed their homes without permission.
What are the most significant changes made by technology in our contemporary life?.
In communications
People used to resort to simple methods of communicating with each other, One of these methods is postal mail, which was carried by the postman from one area to another. And then it was newly developed and entered the home phone where people become connected with each other.
Then things changed and developed to invent a cell phone that has made a huge change in the field of communications where people managed to communicate with each other no matter where they are and no matter how far distances, This development has made the world look like a small village where thousands of people are connected.
In the field of the Web
After the invention of the Web and when it became accessible to all people filled the pages of millions of sites that serve people in their lives by providing information and knowledge and allow people to communicate with each other through programs that allow the viewer to see the fixed image and mobile.
In the field of transportation
After the people used animals and horse-drawn vehicles, the car appeared to make a big difference in the lives of people and to be able to move from place to place in a short period of time without incurring the burden and fatigue.
In the areas of life in general
The electric power of people has been built for their homes and roads, and they have been used in the operation of electrical appliances, factories.
Many modern tools have appeared that have facilitated people’s lives and for example a vacuum cleaner that has been replaced by old tools that are used in it.
As well as electric heating device for food and various foods called (microwave). And the ordinary oven and electric, which facilitated the housewife, food processing and preparation and many other modern tools that were really a blessing from God to contemporary man.
Thank you for your kind attention … I hope you have liked the subject. If you have questions, I will answer them with pleasure.

Presentations. We've all given them. Whether we like them or not, presentations are a great way to show an understanding of a topic and develop your speaking and listening skills. They are a chance to prove to an audience you know what you are talking about!
One thing to be mindful of is the technology for your presentations. Have you thought much about presentation technology and its evolution over time? This article will explore the importance of technology for a presentation. It will also consider the technology's background and modern uses, along with some examples and types of presentation technology.
Importance of Technology For a Presentation
You may be wondering, why is technology so important when we do presentations?
The technology you use for presentations allows you to share information with your audience effectively. It's a way to connect with your audience and provide them with interesting information to keep them engaged. Without technology, presentations lose appeal as they are less interactive.
It is essential to be aware that people learn in different ways through various stimuli. For example, some people take in information more effectively when they read it. Others may rely on more visual-based things such as images, diagrams, videos, etc. Still others may simply prefer to listen to you speak. You can use presentation technology to appeal to your audience through text, visuals, sound, and more quickly and easily, allowing the audience to gain a deeper understanding of your presentation topic.
Technology can also help guide you through your topic. For example, if you have some words or images on a slide, this can help you remember what to talk about and keeps your presentation flowing smoothly.
Presentation Technology Background
What did the world of presentations look like before internet software? Before the creation of well-known software such as PowerPoint, there were different ways to make a presentation. These methods took more time and involved more than simply creating slides on a laptop!
One of the first ways to present was through the use of chalkboards, whiteboards, and paper flip charts, like the one shown below:

Although they may not be considered technology, using boards and flipcharts was still a way for people to present extra information to the audience. They could write or draw pictures/graphs to visually aid the presentation and help to get their intentions across to the audience more clearly. Paper flip charts, chalkboards, and whiteboards may still be used occasionally, but there is less need for them now that everything has been digitalized!
The slide projector was one of the first pieces of technology used for presentations. A slide projector is a machine that shows photographic slides. It does this by shining a light through a photograph made into a slide, which creates a bigger image on a screen. Also used was the carousel slide projector, a type of slide projector that stores slides in a rotary tray and creates a slideshow by projecting slide photographs.
The use of slide projectors was then upgraded to the use of overhead projectors, something more familiar to people today. This is a machine that is used to make writing or images on a sheet appear on a wall or screen, like the one shown below:

Before easy digital presentation production, this was an excellent way to relay information to students. Teachers could present a "transparency," as it was called, of a worksheet and use dry-erase markers to fill out the sheet along with students.
Modern Presentation Technology
In modern society, presentation technology is much more prevalent and accessible due to the internet and social media. Not only do we have instant access to information, but we also have many ways to share it with others. Modern presentation technology allows us to present information quickly and efficiently - unlike many years ago when presenting took more time and effort! Most presentations nowadays are created using digital presentation software. The first of this modern software was PowerPoint.
The first official version of PowerPoint was released by Microsoft in 1990. It is the most commonly used presentation software, with around 500 million users worldwide. So why is PowerPoint so appealing? Here are a few reasons:
- Allows people to convert their ideas into easily understandable text and visuals.
- Allows people to customize their slides and add information in various ways, such as embedding audio/video or drawing animations.
- Easily accessible and can be used anywhere (even without an internet connection).
- It is collaborative, meaning multiple people can work on the same presentation - this is especially useful for group projects.
Although PowerPoint is commonly used, it does not appeal to everyone! Some alternatives include:
- Apple Keynote - created in 2003
- Google Slides - introduced in 2006
- Prezi - founded in 2009
Presentation Technology Types
Presentations can have different purposes, depending on the type you want to give. It is important to consider the purpose of your presentation, as this will determine how you present your information to the audience. There are four main types of presentations.
1. Informative
The purpose of an informative presentation is to give the audience information. This type of presentation relies on facts and stats. It is vital that you research well; try not to include inaccurate or unreliable information.
2. Instructional
The purpose of an instructional presentation is to give the audience instructions. This type of presentation focuses on guiding the audience and showing them how to do something. It can be useful to provide clear images and diagrams or step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow.
3. Arousing
The purpose of an arousing presentation is to generate intrigue amongst the audience and appeal to their emotions. This type of presentation usually focuses more on current events, such as societal/political issues.
4. Persuasive
T he purpose of a persuasive presentation is to convince your audience of a particular point of view. This presentation should have a clear argument and allow you to express your opinion. Try not to be too biased; consider the perspectives of others too.
Presentation Technology Slide Types
Information can be presented to an audience via technology in a variety of different ways. Because of this, there are different types of presentation slides to consider when making a presentation.
The three main types of presentation slides are text, visual, and mixed.
Text Slides
Text slides involve words/texts, such as extracts or quotes.
What NOT to do :
Be careful not to cram too much information onto one slide! Presentation slides should be clear and easy to follow. If too much is on one slide, it could be distracting, or the audience may not be able to take everything in.
Space out the information so it is easier to comprehend. One way to do this is to use bullet points and summarize the key points instead of writing out larger paragraphs of text. For example:

Visual Slides
Visual slides involve images/diagrams or videos. This also includes photos, illustrations, graphs, charts, etc.
What NOT to do:
Include too many images on a slide, making it look cluttered and distracting the audience.
Including around 1 - 2 images/diagrams is preferable as this will give the audience a focal point and maintain their interest. It may be as simple as this:

Mixed Slides
Mixed slides use both words and visuals together. For example, you can use captions, labels, or small text boxes to explain an image or add the extra necessary information (such as keywords or ideas).
Presentation Technology Examples
You may be wondering, what are some examples of a good digital presentation? How can you differentiate between a good and a bad presentation?
Here are a few examples of what makes a good digital presentation:
1. Easy to Understand
Keep the slides simple! Make sure not to include too much information, as this could be confusing. Instead, stick to key points and summaries. You can always expand on these points as you talk; just use the presentation as a reminder of what you will discuss!
2. Eye-Catching but Consistent
Make sure your slides aren't too dull for the audience! A presentation is a great way to catch the audience's attention and keep their interest. You could experiment with design templates to make your slides look more visually attractive, but make sure you stick to a consistent color scheme and style. Too many different styles could make the presentation look messy.

3. An Appropriate Number of Slides
If you include too many slides, this could make the audience lose interest. On the other hand, if you don't include enough slides, your presentation will lack substance, and you may run out of things to talk about. A good rule of thumb is to include approximately one slide for every minute you plan to speak to keep the information moving. For example, a 20-minute presentation would have around 15-20 slides.
Presentation Technology Topics
It is important to be aware that the topic of a presentation will influence how you will use the technology to get your message across.
If you were to present the number of native vs. non-native English speakers, you would create more statistic-based visuals. This could include creating charts or graphs to help the audience visualize the numbers.
If you were to do a presentation about phonetics and the place/manner of articulation, using images to show the parts of the mouth and how we use different parts to pronounce different letters would be beneficial.
If you were to do a presentation about a particular novel, include some quotes or extracts to make it clear to the audience what you are referring to and highlight the novel's main themes.

Technology Presentations
How do you create engaging presentations about technology ? For a business trying to find a professional way to present its product or service, it can prove challenging. Firstly, their new technology may be very complex and hard to understand. Trying to find a way to explain it in a 30-minute presentation may be challenging let alone be able to sell it. The best technology PowerPoint presentations make use of highly visual slides to explain technical concepts. Often times pictures alone still need to be explained. Therefore, it’s common for people designing presentations about complex topics to turn to creative agencies top help them design infograhics and other images that help to create a visual explaination.

Pay by phone, how do you present a new new technology.
Whether you are presenting a techonolgical solution, or anything else for that matter, it all starts with the audience. Before you begin to create your presentation take some time to ask yourself these questions:
- If your viewer left your technology presentation only remembering one thing, what would you want it to be?
- Do you need to teach your audience something about the new technology in order for them to understad your key point?
- Would a graphic or visual representation help you better teach your technology?
- What is the benefit to your audience of learning more about your new technology and business?
- What information could you remove from your presentation and still accomplish your key goal?
Prior to jumping into PowerPoint to create your technology presentation, these are some of the questions you should be able to answer. For these and more helpful questions, jump on our contact us page to find our email address and get in touch. They will provide you with a roadmap or a storyboard for your presenation. How much of the technology do you need to teach your audience? One giant pitfall that many presenters make is trying to teach their audience too much. Often times a video or helpful graphic can teach more and provide a better understanding of the key points. These often require some outside help, unless a member on your team is proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite.
Create a logical flow of information
Build educational institution presentations that cater to visual learners, make it practical, powerpoint templates for technology.
Microsoft has designed some technology powerpoint templates which can be a good option if you are looking to provide a little design and don’t need to worry about your business brand guidelines. You can find a technology powerpoint template by opening Microsoft PowerPoint, clicking new and searching the templates for Tech in the search bar. There are several present themes that highlight various types of technology. Searching for these templates often allow you to deliver a presentation style that your collegues haven’t seen before while providing some new slides layout options to add some consistency to your technology presentation.
What are the possible downsides to using templates?
Using a template can be the right choice for many presentation situations, but here are a few situations where you may want to consider hiring a company like ours!
- Your presentation is being delivered to people outside of your company. If this is the case, it’s more than likley that someone somewhere in your company would like you to ensure that your presentation follows brand guidelines. It seems like a hassle, but brand guidelines are actually very important. When you are presenting, it’s likely the people in front of you have had some experience with your company. They’ve seen your website, social media posts or maybe recieved an email with your logo on it. Providing a consistent experience across all these points of interaction actually helps to build your confidence in your business and in turn your new technology.
- You have a tough time clearly explaining your new technology. Sometimes a picture or video provides that aha moment that your audience needs to understand your technology. The challenge in creating presentations for new technology is that these images and explainer videos don’t already exist. In these cases it can be very beneficial to work with a design company that can help you create images, infographics, explainer videos. Click here to check out an example of how we did this for an amazing tech startup Flowmill.
- Time is not on your side. If you’re deadline is rapidly approaching and need an efficient team that can help you design amazing slides you may want to reach out to us. We can provide your business with a quote within the hour and often we get started on presentations the same day.
How can you use technology in presentations?
So the type of technology your business has developed has nothing to do with presenations or even IT. It doesn’t matter, your audience will probably expect you to be the master of all things technology. So what better way to impress than to use something new in your presentation? Our team is used to integrating new solutions into presentation design. Prezi is a great cloud based solution that gives your slides a transaxial zooming look. Prezi also allows the presenter to click to where they want to go rather than having slides follow a consecutive order.
Is your presentation going to be presented through a videoconference platform? If so, you might want to learn more about what features not to use to ensure the viewer has a great experience.
We also design presenations that include engagement solutions, through polls, surveys, quizes and more.
NDA's and Rights Reserved
A large concern for many tech firms is making sure that their information remains confidential. This is something that we take very seriously as confidentiality and rights reserved affects the majority of customer base. Our company developed everything in-house. Our Presentation Geek designers are all under contract and our team frequently signs NDAs to protect our customers business. If you are in need of a team of Presentation Experts, give us a call and let us know how we can help to support your project.

They usually include some kind of a product that reflects the student’s learning as well as a rubric or evaluation. They are a good option when considering including inquiry in a teacher’s teaching units. Students are able to take the direction they choose when gathering the information by clicking on the links included in the webquest. Once the information is gathered the student can choose his own product based on the scoring rubric that is included with the webquest. </li></ul>

- 9. Blogs <ul><li>“ Blog” is the term coined for web logs. They are a place for students to post their thoughts about a topic the class is studying. They post chronologically so they make it easy for a teacher to monitor the posts. </li></ul>
- 10. Blog options <ul><li>There are thousands of blogs on the internet. There are also many tools available for teachers to create and manage their own class blogs. One example is Blogger.com. This is an example of the sign in page. It only requires a Gmail account to subscribe. </li></ul>
- 11. Email <ul><li>Email is a tool most students use daily. It can also be used for pen pals in the class and as a means for practicing written communication skills. It’s a great alternative to the telephone! One caution: it is impossible to monitor and requires parent permission to include in the curriculum. Be sure you check your district’s policy on this internet tool. </li></ul>
- 12. Conclusion <ul><li>Technology can move our students from the more traditional style of learning to a classroom where they are engaged in the learning experience, have the most current information available, and have some control over what they learn and how they demonstrate their learning. This makes their learning experience inquiry based and meet the needs of the students of today. It can help prepare the students for their futures outside the classroom. </li></ul>

Presentation technology refers to a wide range of applications that enable instructors to display information during a lecture. Students also use these applications when they make presentations as part of class assignments. Used to help organize presentations, show examples, and provide visual interest, these applications usually allow for some combination of text and graphics as well as embedded video. While Microsoft PowerPoint is the most commonly used, there are a range of applications that fall under this category.
- Displaying lecture outlines, visual examples (photos, graphs, diagrams, videos) and/or instructions for classroom activities
- Displaying sample test questions or concept questions to check student understanding (possibly used with personal response systems)
- Creating opportunities for students to organize content and present to peers as part of a lecture
- Providing "skeletal" outlines that facilitate student notetaking
- Providing a resource that guides students' review of lecture material (alone or in connection with audio/video recordings of lecture)
- Apple Keynote
Tips for using slides effectively
While it is easy to create slides, it is also easy to overwhelm students with these programs. Common problems include showing far too many slides in a given time period, text-heavy slides that are often difficult to read, overuse of special effects, and slideshows that are designed to keep the instructor on track rather than supporting student learning.
In addition, slide-based lectures can put students in a very passive mode of trying to absorb and record large amounts of content without having the opportunities for active engagement and processing that are necessary for understanding and long-term retention of information. Finally, processing visuals (particularly text) at the same time as listening to a lecture can create cognitive overload that interferes with learning.
General Recommendations for Formatting Slides
- Use font size large enough to be visible, including captions and legends (look at your slides from the back of your actual classroom to check)
- Use legible color combinations (keep in mind when refering to different color items that some students are color blind)
- Use graphs rather than word-heavy charts when possible
- Display only essential information and limit the number of words/bullets per slide
- Use slides for outlines and examples rather than trying to capture every point you make
- Display only the information that will help students; find other ways to keep yourself on track for the presentation
- Distribute the slides or another outline-style handout in advance to facilitate note taking
- Avoid overly flashy transitions and special effects that can be distracting
- Have a backup plan should the technology fail
Recommendations from Research on Promoting Learning with PowerPoint
- Make slides available to students in advance of the lecture. Students retain more of a lecture when they have access to the instructor’s slides. When they do not have such handouts, students often try to copy down both the words on the slides and the notes from what they hear.
- Minimize the use of animation to introduce new points to a single slide. PowerPoint allows a presenter to reveal each bullet point on a slide separately. However, research indicates that such an approach leads to lower retention of information, possibly because there is less time to absorb all of the material on the slide.
- Use an assertion-evidence approach to constructing slides, instead of using the default format of a title followed by bullet subpoints. With this approach, the title becomes a 1-2 line sentence that makes an assertion. The rest of the slide shows evidence to support that assertion (preferably using visuals or a combination of visuals and short explanatory text). This approach helps avoid oversimplification inherent in PowerPoint’s linear approach.
- Segment your presentation and integrate active learning. This can range from simply pausing to allow the audience time to digest the material, to having students take a moment to write down what was confusing to them, answer “clicker” questions, discuss case studies, etc. CRLT’s website has a few resources for incorporating active learning into lectures. For examples of active learning, visit this page .
- Provide names and definitions of key terms in advance of the lecture. Such “pre-training” allows students to better understand a complex description of a how a system works as a whole.
- Weed out any extraneous information included in the presentation. Such extraneous information puts additional demands on working memory, and decreases the ability to process and retain information.
- Signal to your audience which information is incidental (e.g., an anecdote relating to the topic) and which is essential. This can be helpful in minimizing the cognitive load of the presentation so that students are better able to process important information.
- Make sure that on-screen images and text are well aligned and synchronized, and make explicit which text applies to which image. A mismatch between visuals and verbal explanations can cause interference rather than increasing understanding.

Tips for using Prezi (or other non-linear presentation technology) creatively
Suggestions on best uses and practices for using Prezi:
- build a resources and links (images, text, video) and build a variety of paths for connecting the material based on the audience and the place of the presentation in the curriculum;
- experiment with a non-linear approach to a presentation in which your path through the material is not predetermined but driven by the interests of the audience;
- use Prezi as an alternative to actually presenting, allowing audience members to work through the Prezi taking notes on important/useful points, and then engaing in a discussion in groups or with the whole class about the topic at hand;
- use Prezi for helping students organize material, either by having them take your Prezi and think about how they’d present it, or by asking them to go through the process of laying out important information and then organizing it into a Prezi (a much less rigidly linear process than using PowerPoint).
PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides offer similar linear presentation style defaults (i.e. one primarily works through the slides one-at-time from beginning to end). PowerPoint can work across PC and Mac platforms, while Keynote is Mac specific and also works with iPads. Google Slides is part of the Google Apps suite designed to promote collaboration. This is a very pared down version of a presentation tool that allows multiple people to collaborate on a single presentation and store files on the web so they are available anywhere. Files can be imported into PowerPoint and made more complex.
An alternative to these products is a non-linear presentation tool, Prezi. Prezi is a web-based tool with different logic from those described above. It is based on a non-linear "palette" onto which a presenter can paste up combinations of text, images, video. Nonlinearity allows for different paths through the same information and development of a presentation based on graphic overview and easy embedding of YouTube videos. However, non-linearity can be both a challenge and an opportunity depending on your topic, how you organize your ideas, and your teaching style. In addition, zoom functions can lead to sea sickness if not used well.
For specific information about using these technologies for teaching, see the links below:

Microsoft’s Bing chatbot to offer users answers in three different tones
Users asking questions to be given option of ‘creative’, ‘balanced’ or ‘precise’ response
Microsoft’s Bing chatbot is offering replies in three different tones as it seeks to address some criticisms of the service.
The search engine’s chatbot, powered by the same technology behind ChatGPT, will now give users options for three types of response: creative (“creating surprise and entertainment”), balanced (“reasonable and coherent”) or precise (“concise, prioritising accuracy”).
The new-look Bing is being rolled out gradually but generated wild responses in some interactions shortly after its launch last month, including declaring its love for a New York Times journalist. This prompted Microsoft to add some restrictions, which resulted in Bing’s chatbot refusing to answer some queries.
Microsoft’s head of web services, Mikhail Parakhin, said the updated Bing should now make fewer refusals and “hallucinations”, or false replies. Referring to the tone options, Parakhin said he preferred the “creative” tone, although “precise” was “much more factual”.
Now almost everyone - 90% - should be seeing the Bing Chat Mode selector (the tri-toggle). I definitely prefer Creative, but Precise is also interesting - it's much more factual. See which one you like. The 10% who are still in the control group should start seeing it today. — Mikhail Parakhin (@MParakhin) March 1, 2023
Google’s rival to ChatGPT, Bard, has yet to be released publicly but its launch was affected by an embarrassing error when a video demo for the chatbot showed it making a factually incorrect statement about the James Webb space telescope.
The Guardian asked Bing’s chatbot the same question – is bing better than bard – in the three different tones. Under “creative” the response noted Bard has been criticised for making factual errors, while extolling Bing’s ability to customise search queries and use up-to-date information from the web.
After several paragraphs it ended on a balanced note, stating: “Both Bing and Bard have their strengths and weaknesses, and they are still evolving and improving over time. You may want to try them out yourself and see which one suits you better.” However, Bard is not yet available publicly.
The “balanced” response is brief, composed of four sentences including: “Both chatbots have advantages and disadvantages, such as accuracy, speed, relevance, and bias. It depends on your preferences and needs which one you find better.😊”
On “precise”, the bing chatbot asked for more detail after being asked the same question, which was refined by the Guardian to “is the bing chatbot better than Google’s bard chatbot”. The five-sentence response echoes the balanced answer, stating: “As for whether Bing’s chatbot is better than Google’s Bard chatbot, it really depends on personal preference and what you’re looking for in a chatbot.”

Why Do Teachers Assign Student-Selected Presentations? [Infographic]
By now, you must have already chosen a presentation topic idea . But you might still be wondering why your teacher assigned you this task in the first place.
No, your teacher is not out to get you by assigning a presentation you have to choose the topic for. There are a few reasons why teachers and professors assign presentations this way.
Choosing a presentation topic idea inspires you to look inside themselves to find a topic of interest. Knowing about your interests helps give direction to your future life and career plans.
Selecting presentation topic ideas on your own also helps you learn how to do research properly. You get more familiar with the practice of taking notes, creating an outline and prioritizing information.
Brainstorming various topic ideas is also great for improving your creative performance. And finally, getting up on stage and presenting prepares you for public speaking in front of an audience.
Here's a quick infographic to sum it all up.

Believe it or not, assigning a presentation is one of the best ways to teach a student how to learn on their own. It’s similar to asking a student to write an essay, but a lot more fun!
Create a stunning presentation in less time
- Hundreds of premade slides available
- Add animation and interactivity to your slides
- Choose from various presentation options
Sign up. It’s free.

If you're overwhelmed by all the school presentation ideas above and aren't sure which one is right for your presentation, don't worry. We have tips to help you pick the right topic in no time.
If after this process you still aren’t sure, just browse through the list above and find a specific presentation subject idea that sparks your interest most.

The first step to figuring out what your presentation should be about is to ask yourself these questions:
- What are your hobbies?
- What type of books do you read?
- When you play Trivial Pursuit, which topic are you good at?
- What kind of TV shows do you watch?
- What would you like to learn more about?
What Are Your Hobbies?
It’s easy to find a presentation topic by looking at your hobbies. The best part of this choice is that you’ll be passionate when presenting it to your peers.
For example, if you love woodworking, create a presentation about the history of woodworking or a step-by-step look at “How to make a wooden bowl by hand.”
What Type of Books Do You Read?
Look at the style of books you’ve been reading lately. Have any of them made an impact on your life?
If you're having a difficult time coming up with a topic idea, you can create a presentation about a book that you found really special, or about an author you’ve read a few books by.
When You Play Trivial Pursuit, Which Topic Are You Good At?
If you've ever played Trivial Pursuit or attended a Trivia Night, you must have noticed that some topics are easier for you to answer. That is your topic of interest and a great place to look for some ideas.
For example, if you always know the answer to the questions about classical music, you can create a presentation about your favorite composer.
What Kind of TV Shows Do You Watch?
What have you been binge-watching lately? Regardless if its Orange is The New Black or a documentary about the Sudanese civil war, you can find an interesting topic to work with.
It can be about history or current events. You could even do some kind of comparative analysis on how a specific show has affected you or the people who watch it.
What Would You Like to Learn More About?
Another way to find an interesting presentation topic idea is to think of things you want to learn more about. Take the opportunity to learn something new and then share it in your presentation.
Present the facts of what you learned or turn the presentation into a journal entry of your personal experience using the new information that you just learned.
Additionally, it’s important to remember that whatever topic you choose, it must also be appropriate.
“Depending on your audience and occasion purpose, you have to steer away from topics that might bore or offend your audience.”
Once you have chosen the perfect presentation topic idea, it’s time to create your presentation. Here are some tips for putting together a great presentation that will get you a good grade.
Presentation Mistakes to Avoid
First things first, let’s talk about some presentation no-no’s. You want to avoid these mistakes in any presentation you give—from a presentation for a grade in your middle school class all the way up to a business presentation.
Key presentation don’ts are:
- Don’t create slides full of text —your presentation is not a 30-page essay. Instead, create slides with just a few bullets and some type of visual to represent your content.
- Don’t just read off of your slides —you’ll bore your audience. Practice and rehearse your presentation or create index cards with speaking notes to make your presentation more engaging.
- Don’t use a new design, transition, animation, etc., on each slide —you’ll clutter up your design. Choose one single design, color scheme, font pairing, transition style, animation effect, what have you, and use it throughout to create a cohesive presentation design.
- Don’t present on topics you don’t understand —you’ll sound like you don’t know what you’re talking about. Even if you’re choosing a “new to you” topic, you need to do enough research to have a firm grasp on the information you’re presenting.
- Don’t ramble and go over your allotted time —you’ll sound flustered and unorganized. Again, make sure you practice your presentation so that you can smoothly transition from slide to slide and cover all information in the time given.
Use Data Visualization in Your Presentation
Regardless of which type of topic you’ve chosen, there’s likely some sort of data or information that would be better presented via visual rather than written out numbers or text.
Make sure you choose a presentation tool that makes it easy to visualize certain information. For example, Visme allows you to create a number of data visualizations that help make information pop on your slide.
Some examples of data visualizations you can use within your presentation include:
- Timelines for historical information
- Charts and graphs for numerical data sets
- Tables for organizing text
- Maps for sharing geographic information
- Flowcharts and diagrams for organizing information
- Data widgets for visualizing standalone numbers
Avoid Using Boring Layouts
Don’t let your presentation look like a PowerPoint from the nineties with a blank white background and two columns of boring bullet points. Instead, take advantage of engaging presentation templates and spice up your slides.
First, start with a template that’s going to make your information stand out. You can browse a few options that Visme offers below.
Look for a unique way of presenting the information, use interesting backgrounds, apply shaped frames to the images, embed videos and use colorful shapes to create separations.

But for some specific ideas, consider pulling these design tactics into your presentation.
Slide Background Ideas:
- Set photos as your slide background
- Use color overlays to make sure your content is still visible on top of the photo background
- Create a gradient background
- Use a stock video as your background to create motion
- Choose a color other than white as your background
- Set a pattern as your background
- Use an animated background
Visual Element Ideas:
- Place photos strategically on your slide to drive your point home
- Use colorful shapes and animated graphics
- Try 3D graphics to make your content pop
- Apply shaped frames to images within your slides
- Use icons to visualize your text
Interactive Ideas:
Incorporate hover-overs or pop-ups that hide additional information Link your slides to create a non-linear presentation Embed videos that provide even more information Create audio clips that activate when you click on an element There are so many ways to make sure your slides are engaging so you keep your audience interested throughout your entire presentation.
Prepare for Your Presentation
We already touched on how important it is to practice and rehearse your presentation. You want to appear confident and well-versed in your topic. Presenting and public speaking are also skills that you can carry into adulthood in your future career.
Although nerve-wracking, you’ll have a turn to deliver your presentation in front of the class. You’ll give your speech while simultaneously showcasing your slides.
Utilize these tips when preparing for your presentation:
- Practice speaking while moving through your slides at least three times
- Memorize the order of your slides and what information is on each slide
- Create a flashcard for each slide so you have basic talking points in front of you
- Use memorization techniques so you don’t have to fully rely on your flashcards
- Focus on the end goal: delivering your presentation may be stressful but it will also make you feel great when you’re finished
Keep Your Audience Engaged During Your Presentation
Our last tip is to keep your audience engaged throughout your presentation. This will help your fellow classmates to better retain the information you’re sharing in your slides and can even help you feel more confident as you present.
A few tips for engaging your audience include:
- Avoid using a monotonous tone; instead, tell stories, speak conversationally, and hold your audience’s attention
- Try not to say things like, “um,” “er,” “like” and similar terms
- Focus on keeping good posture throughout
- Avoid chewing gum, fidgeting or doing other things that will detract from your speech
- Make eye contact with your audience rather than staring at your notes or your slides

Tesla stock down as investor day falls short on specifics

- Tesla CEO Elon Musk took the stage to present his "Master Plan Part 3" for the company at its 2023 investor day in Austin, Texas.
- The company's manufacturing leader, Tom Zhu, revealed that Tesla had produced 4 million cars as of Wednesday.
- The presentation was long on vision and a review of prior achievements, but short on specifics about any new Tesla products or services.

Electric vehicle maker Tesla hosted a 2023 investor day presentation in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday. CEO Elon Musk took the stage to share his "Master Plan 3," and to discuss how Tesla plans to scale up in the face of increasing competition.
The presentation was long on vision, and included a review of prior achievements, but short on specifics about any new Tesla products or services.
Near the beginning of the presentation, Musk said: "There is a clear path to a sustainable-energy Earth. It doesn't require destroying natural habitats. It doesn't require us to be austere and stop using electricity and be in the cold or anything." He added, "In fact, you could support a civilization much bigger than Earth, much more than the 8 billion humans could actually be supported sustainably on Earth."
Musk was initially joined on stage by Drew Baglino, senior vice president of powertrain and energy engineering at Tesla. They discussed a future in which the company would play a role in "re-powering the grid with renewable fuels" as they ramp up battery production, both for Tesla's electric vehicles and for the company's utility-scale energy storage systems.
Tesla's goal is to produce 20 million electric vehicles per year by 2030, executives reiterated. The company reported full-year deliveries of around 1.31 million vehicles in 2022.

During a question-and-answer session following the three-hour presentation, executives fielded a question about how Tesla could grow its market share in China.
Elon Musk passed the question to Tom Zhu, who is heading up global production and has run the China and APAC businesses for Tesla for years. "As long as you offer a product with value at affordable price you don't have to worry about demand," Zhu said. "We try everything to cut costs," he added, "and pass down that value to our customers."
Musk then added, "Demand is a function of affordability not desire." He said, "Even small changes in the price have a big effect on demand."
Zhu also announced that as of Wednesday, Tesla had produced 4 million cars in total.
"It took us 12 years to build the first million, and about 18 months to the second million. The third million, 11 months. Then less than seven months to build the 4 millionth," Zhu said, touting the company's improving operational efficiency.
He said Tesla plans to construct new car and battery cell factories, and also to produce more cars per year at its existing factories.
Tesla charging leader Rebecca Tinucci said that in 2022 the company provided 9 terawatt hours across charging methods, including home charging including 40,000 Superchargers. (By way of comparison, the entire U.S. consumes about 4,000 terawatt hours of electricity per year.) Tinucci also noted that about half of the company's Superchargers in the EU are open to other vehicles, and that the company just opened 10 Superchargers in the U.S. to non-Teslas.

Tesla design leader Franz von Holzhausen and the company's vice president of vehicle engineering, Lars Moravy, took the stage to show off a number of planned manufacturing changes meant to improve the efficiency of Tesla vehicle production. But von Holzhausen said that Tesla would not yet reveal its "next gen" vehicle.
The company's powertrain vice president, Colin Campbell, said that Tesla's next powertrain factory will be 50% smaller than the one in Austin but will have the same capacity. He also said the company is working on a new kind of drive unit that is compatible with any battery cell type, and a motor that will be built without any rare earth metals.
Ahead of the 2023 investor day, at a news conference on Tuesday, Mexico's president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, said Tesla had agreed to build a large factory in Monterrey, Mexico . He said the company agreed to use recycled water and take other initiatives to cope with water scarcity in the region.
Musk confirmed the factory plans on Wednesday, and said production there would supplement, rather than replace, any manufacturing at other Tesla facilities.
Tesla shares have rebounded from declines during 2022, and are up more than 60% for the year so far. However, the stock dropped 1.43% on Wednesday before the event, and 5% after-hours.
Mizuho Securities analysts maintained a buy rating on shares of Tesla ahead of investor day, seeing the company in a leadership position in a growing market for fully electric vehicles. They wrote in a note earlier this week, "Near-term, we see continued strength in TSLA's market share, but see cheaper competitor EVs coming to market as potentially dilutive to TSLA's share of the US EV market."
Currently, the lowest-priced Tesla available is the Model 3 sedan, which starts at a price point of around $43,000, they wrote. Seven models from other automakers are currently priced below that, Mizhuo noted.
Musk's ambitious "Master Plan, Part Deux " was published in 2016, and has not been completely fulfilled. It included four main objectives:
- "Create stunning solar roofs with seamlessly integrated battery storage"
- "Expand the electric vehicle product line to address all major segments"
- "Develop a self-driving capability that is 10X safer than manual via massive fleet learning"
- "Enable your car to make money for you when you aren't using it" .

Electro Hydrodynamic Drying Technology In Food Industry
Electro Hydrodynamic Drying(EHD) is a non-thermal method for drying heat-sensitive food, and the Food Research Lab explains its advantages and applications. It is particularly suitable for drying heat-sensitive foods, such as fruits and vegetables. An advantage with respect to the drying process includes a shorter drying time when compared to hot-air and solar dryers at low or ambient temperatures.

v ELECTRO HYDRODYNAMIC DRYING NEW TECHNOLOGY Date: 7th November 2022 www.foodresearchlab.com | [email protected] Pepgra Healthcare © 2022 |
INTRODUCTION • Drying is one of the most common process technologies for preserving heat-sensitive plant-based foods such as fruits and vegetables. • One such innovative drying technology is electro hydrodynamic (EHD) drying. EHD drying has recently gained significant interest as an alternative to standard convective drying. It is particularly suitable for drying heat-sensitive foods, such as fruits and vegetables. • An advantage with respect to the drying process includes a shorter drying time when compared to hot-air and solar dryers at low or ambient temperatures (Precoppe et al., 2015; Bechoff et al., 2010; Pirnazari et al., 2014). www.foodresearchlab.com | [email protected] Pepgra Healthcare © 2022 |
A further advantage is that the drying process is reported to have a lower energy consumption, so lower carbon emissions (Esehaghbeygi et al., 2014; TaghianDinani et al., 2014a; Yang & Ding, 2016). • Other reported advantages regarding product quality include better retention of nutritional content, flavor, and color, as well as lower shrinkage and higher rehydration capacity (Bajgai et al., 2006; Defraeye & Martynenko, 2018; Elmizadeh et al., 2017; Esehaghbeygi et al., 2014; Ni et al., 2019; Pirnazari et al., 2014). www.foodresearchlab.com | [email protected] Pepgra Healthcare © 2022 |
ELECTRO HYDRODYNAMIC DRYING • Electro hydrodynamics • Use of air ions in a strong electric field to Increase heat and mass transfer. • Electro hydrodynamic drying • Non thermal processing technology • EHD drying • Uses the synergistic effect of high voltage and corona wind velocity Schematic view design of EHD www.foodresearchlab.com | [email protected] Pepgra Healthcare © 2022 |
MECHANISM OF EHD DRYING Impingement of electric wind on food material Generation impact Turbulence of water (greater just below the emitter electrode) Water Molecules acquire sufficient energy Phase changing of water from liquid to vapor Generation Of concentration gradient between the concentric layers Diffusion of water from outer layers to inner layers Drying of entire food material. www.foodresearchlab.com | [email protected] Pepgra Healthcare © 2022 |
APPLICATIONS IN FOOD MATERIALS: www.foodresearchlab.com | [email protected] Pepgra Healthcare © 2022 |
CONCLUSION • Electrohydrodynamic drying is a novel technology with higher drying rates as compared to conventional techniques. • It is an energy efficient technique with reduced power consumption. • It leads to increase quality retention and lesser quality deterioration of foods. • The lower energy consumption leads to reduce cost of drying. However an economic analysis, which has not been performed yet is essential in order to know detailed cost involved. • Thus electrohydrdynamic drying proves to be an ideal drying technology with great potential of applications in the food industry. www.foodresearchlab.com | [email protected] Pepgra Healthcare © 2022 |

Tesla Investor Day Presentation Deck and Discussion
The 169 slides from Tesla Investor Day are online.
Brad Templeton is an expert on robotaxis and has been advising other companies like Waymo provides a quite positive review of the Investor Day. He has criticism of the Tesla FSD safety numbers as being 3.6 million miles per airbag deployment. The 500,000 miles per ordinary car accident is per NHTSA data on accidents per police report. The Autopilot number is 6 million miles per airbag deployment. Brad believes that Autopilot is better than FSD. However, FSD is replacing Autopilot on highways with the latest version in Beta. Nextbigfuture believes that FSD would have to be passing the 6 million miles per airbag accident on highways.

Brad does not accept Tesla model 2 pricing as he writes at Forbes. However, Brad thinks getting close on that price with subsidies will give an electric car at under $20,000. This will be very disruptive.

Calculating from the minerals in the ground, renewable energy cannot produce enough energy to reproduce itself renewably or sustainably. Levelized costs using phony EROEIs along with ignoring the costs of duplicate power production facilities and short-lived electric storage gimcracks beg the question in a logically fallacious manner.
This is the ugly side of Elon, the rent-seeking Elon taking advantage of government mandates and subsidies. It is dishonest to the core.
All the costly minerals from the dozens of unstable nations where they must be mined, cannot but be wasted in this mad scheme.
You know that a consumer or biz-to-biz company or industry has ‘jumped the shark’ when they trot out sustainability or ‘save the planet’ or carbon reduction/neutrality as their main selling points. Yes, not destroying stuff would be nice. But: People with money, ambition, and goals/dreams do not prioritize these things. Less is never More. They’re looking for advantage, lifestyle, improvement, a better future, something positive for their legacy, etc. These people and these purchases promote a cycle of growth and prosperity for everyone else, disproportionately. There is pricing/ selling for the economy demographic and widespread adoption, then there is fire-sale desperation, ‘reduced earth impact’ headlines, and failure of the imagination in their technical department. We’re not there – but the cracks are apparent.
Apple nailed it around the turn of the century with: “..[computing] for the rest of us…” Appeals to more but still got away with charging PC premium for the interface.
Around the turn of the century is the time when the DOS interface became perfectly equal to the Mac’s. That slogan is of 1985.
Ah Windows 98. The last PC OS that was robust and reliable without the visual fluff and microsoft insecurity that crashed that entire sector into the sub-mediocrity it ‘enjoys’ today.
Tesla needs to offer product and engineering support to integrate their systems into their’s or another company’s PHEVs (ideally a FCEV, but likely an ICE PEV) – a partial pivot, but a more realistic ‘majority’ market move for the late 2020s and on…
$10 Trillion? Smells like another Energiewende, probably with the same failed outcome.
Seriously just build some nuclear power plants for electricity, then build some HTRs for process heat. You could probably decarbonize for half the cost. Put the batteries in the cars and charge the cars with atoms.
I don’t think Elon Musk would disagree in principle. He has nothing in an engineering or safety sense against nuclear per se. Seriously he recognizes that it absolutely will not happen. There is no way to make it happen. There’s just no point in pretending.
