FactSet Fundamentals produces various datasets from core fundamental data to industry related analysis, such as economic classifications based on the FactSet Revere economic hierarchy. The primary role of an analyst is to produce error free data within a specified time frame. The raw material is available to the analyst in the form of financial reports & statements of the companies, press releases and news statements. The analyst will be responsible for the interpretation; analysis & updating of financial related data on publicly traded companies from various sources. Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Develop an understanding of FactSet’s data quality standards and workflows for specific product/ content area
  • Contribute to remediate topics around index methodology that include root cause analysis and provide background examination, troubleshoot and test solutions
  • Correspond with 3rd party data suppliers to query data quality issues found through our daily QA test methods
  • Contributes to ad-hoc projects
  • Effectively communicates data quality fixes with appropriate content teams and follows through until resolution.
  • Make recommendations to address identified data quality deficiencies and improve on and expand our current data quality footprint

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree in an area such as Mathematics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 18 months in Content Quality Analyst role or equivalent training, education or experience (recommended)
  • Ability to complete daily tasks or projects in a timely and accurate manner
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
